It's cool that they opened a second location out in Beaverton. The model here is order at counter and then take a seat. The wait wasn't too long for us as we saw the ramen coming out pretty quickly for people. We ordered the Tan Tan and a Miso ramen. We also ordered a spicy mala taco. Both of the ramen were good, but I think the Tan Tan was the better one. The taco had some good flavor and was of a good size. The interior is not too big, with about 8 tables or so.

I got the spicy miso Ramen with the bone broth and pork. I was disappointed with the overall quality; noodle quality and quantity was sadly poor (look at the picture, that is basically all it comes with), pork was middling quality, and the only garnish it comes standard with is baby spinach and green onion (other Ramen places will give you an egg, bamboo shoots, jalapeño for the same price). The only redeeming quality was the broth, it was pretty good. It was about 15-17 dollars and I feel the value is really around 8-10 dollars. Unfortunately, there's just better Ramen places for the prices they charge and it's not far from this location.

Recently enjoyed meal here with my family, Ramen was delicious and flavourful. We enjoyed the Tantan, 2 Shoyu, a side of potstickers, green tea and the Japanese cheesecake. All were a 10 out of 10!!!

Google
This isn't your traditional ramen restaurant, and it is amazing. They have some fun and interesting flavor combinations for ramen broths. They also do some fusion tacos which were excellent. I recommend getting the Mala broth ramen, pretty spicy. The pork was super tender and not fatty. The noodles were cooked to perfection. Also, the gyzo was excellent, good crisp and a lot of filling. Definitely give this place a try.

Came here to catch up with a friend. The service was really good, and the staff was really nice. I got the tantan ramen, and it was good. It had a nice rich broth and a good balance of meat/noodles. I do wish it came with more sides that were not add-ons. I'm not a huge spice person, and medium was a bit lackluster. I'd opt for hot next time which is probably closer to a Sriracha level. Overall I'd give it 7.9/10.

Been eating at Kayo's North Portland location for years and was excited to see that they had taken over the former Boxer Ramen location at Cedar Hills Crossing. The menu is smaller than the Portland branch, probably due to it being their opening week, but their classic dishes are all here. The ship ramen was as good as I remembered, this place will definitely be in my ramen restaurant rotation from now on.

Google
Wonderful food, wonderful staff. Stopped by looking for something cheap for dinner for my family (the tacos are absolutely stuffed for just $5! weird recommendation for a ramen joint I know, but they're absolutely killer) and the manager, Jordan, was a great help. Didn't need to buy me an extra taco, but he did and I appreciate it, he even helped me pick out something dog-safe off the menu too. Definitely have to come back when I have the money for the actual ramen! 😄

Yelp
Great ramen place! Love the vegan tantan!!!! The mild is still pretty spicy, but ok. The egg is delicious. The tofu is marinated and I thought it was pork at first, but it's so good! Get the cucumber salad too!

Yelp
I recently ate here with friends. The service was fast and I enjoyed our appetizers which included spring rolls and mushrooms. We also had an amazing soft Basque like cheesecake as a dessert. Kudos to the appetizers and the dessert. I would definitely come back for them. Cons: The vegetarian ramen was good, but bland. It wasn't as flavorful as I anticipated, which was a bummer. Having gone to Oswego noodle house and FuddoYama ramen (in Beaverton) recently, I just was under the impression that the ramen was going to be as flavorful as those spots, but unfortunately it wasn't. I also ordered one vegan tofu taco. It was small, and a bit underwhelming. Again, not that much flavor - I added my lime for taste, but it was a bit unmemorable and overpriced. It seemed like the ramen and tacos were either very bland or extremely spicy nothing much in-between. If I come back I might have to ask more questions about the menu because the ramen was lacking the flavor I was anticipating. Prices seemed to be high and my friend's tab was well over $40 because she insisted on buying our table a few appetizer plates. Since you pre-order up front, I was thinking the menu would be a tad cheaper. Still hoping prices go down or stay steady since everything has gotten spendy over the past few years. Atmosphere was pretty basic. Glad I tried it, but I wasn't wowed by the ramen or the Asian inspired tofu taco.

Yelp
So it's cold and wet with a chance of snow What are you to do ? you go to Ramen of course !! I realized why not try this new ramen location on Cedar Hills Walked in to some extremely quick and friendly service, you order at the counter I had the miso Ramen and was advised not to have the very hot version - so I went with the regular spice level with pork The Ramen was just perfectly spicy, hot to bring a little sweat on the forehead , but not to burn your tongue The pork was excellent as was the spinach leaves, which go really well with the soup. The noodles were just the right consistency I'm gonna have to come back and try some of the other robins on the menu

Yelp
This is a fast for ramen, casual spot where you order at the counter before getting seated. We came during the lunch rush and had to wait for a table but the staff is quite courteous and attentive. We ordered the TanTan Ramen, Spicy Miso Ramen, Kid's Ramen, Mole Taco and Chashu Taco. The food was delivered to the table pretty quickly. I thought the heat of the spicy Miso didn't enhance the overall flavor. The TanTan broth was robust and something I would order again. Both tacos were good. While I prefer the Mole Taco the Chashu is kid approved. The service is 5 stars. The food and limited sitting is brings my overall rating to a 4.

Yelp
A very subpar ramen restaurant. For just the base price, all you're getting is soup, noodles, spinach, and your choice of protein. I got the miso ramen with medium heat for $14.50 and my boyfriend ordered the spicy miso ramen for $15.50. Both looked exactly the same, but I guess the spicy miso ramen is a dollar more? Save your dollar and just order the miso ramen with medium heat. If you want more toppings, each one costs $1 more. The soup tasted average and as other people mentioned, it was good, but nothing mind-blowing. Disappointing ramen restaurant, I'd recommend Kizuki instead!

Yelp
I was really excited to try this place and finally got the chance to dine in. You order as soon as you enter the restaurant and they eventually serve the ramen bowls to your table. I believe everything is made to order. Seating space is pretty decent, I imagine they might have longer wait times during the night. Overall, the ramen was okay and nothing extraordinary. It came with simple greens and pork. For other toppings like an egg, they charge $1 each.

Yelp
A little hard to find at first, but worth the search. A little gem tucked into Cedar Hills Crossing mall. We got there early on a saturday and it was full when we left. We ordered at the counter, and had our choice of ramen. i ordered a traditional ramen that had a very good broth. The pork was great. The noodles were a little too chewy. The ambiance was fine for a little lunch spot, nothing fancy. We were pretty much left alone to eat our meal.

Yelp
You order right as you enter and seat yourself at this establishment, and the food is then served at your table by the one staff member who greets customers, takes orders, packs to go orders, and also serves the food. Drinks are self service. The vegan menu items feel quite overpriced, at the same price as the meat options. The spice options are impressive, though myself I really only cared for the mole tacos. Not really a place to repeat in my opinion though I was hoping to find myself a new go to spot.

Yelp
Amazing food, I need to go back. They are freshly open and took over an old Boxer Ramen location and so they didn't have to do very much remodeling to make it their own. It's really cool inside and staff is overly nice and checks in on you often.

Yelp
The food here at kayos is the main draw for me. Ive been to the Williams st location and its the mothership of ramen goodness. Kayos combines some flavors from all over Asia. The make an amazing mala sauce that goes into their famous mala ramen. They make their own broths, a clear that combines chicken and pork, and a vegan broth that is loaded up with shiitake flavor. If you order it spicy be prepared to eat spicy as they don't pull punches on the spice. A menu sleeper that needs to be discovered are their japon Tacos, crispy bits of chasu pork combined in a high quality corn tortilla topped off with mala sauce mayo is fire! Die die must try!! Service was warm & friendly, staff attentive, and the ambiance was portlandia , energetic, with good tunes snd good vibes all around. No go slurp some noodles and f up some tacos!

Yelp
Had a really good bowl of ramen here the other day during a soft opening. Ordered the Tan Tan with soft boiled egg. The peppercorn wasn't overpowering link I've had at some places. Ordered spicy and it had a nice kick. It's different type of ramen than my usual spots so it's worth adding to my rotation. They have interesting fusion tacos as well. I had the mole which was good and I'll try out the other ones in the next few visits.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. I think it's so cute, employees were friendly. I got the miso ramen and my partner got the spicy miso. They were extremely salty, like so salty I couldn't eat it. I don't know if there was a mistake in this batch or if it is normally like that. It just sucks because the noodles were incredible and everything else.

Yelp
We came in the first week they were open and had a wonderful meal!! Obsessed with the tan tan ramen and their cheesecake. The pork gyoza was just so so to me. The restaurant is clean and welcoming. Wonderful staff! We will be coming here at least twice a month for ramen, yumm!! Thank you for coming to the 'burbs!

Yelp
I have visited the other Kayo's location in Portland a handful of times before. Upon entry, the layout seems a bit awkward. Very busy, not enough tables. Due to short number of staff, the wait was a bit longer. I got the TanTan ramen. At only after 12, there was sadly no tofu. The ramen was good, but it was just missing something. It wasn't mind blowing, i think tofu instead of meat would've made the experience a lot better for me. It was salty and needs a hint of acidity just to balance it perfectly. Maybe some additional veggie options would be great. The noodles were perfect though and the serving size was very generous.

Yelp
clean place, friendly staff, delicious ramen! the broth is perfectly spiced and good and creamy, will be back soon!

Yelp
The food is delicious. Best ramen I've had so far. The Shoyu ramen had great flavor and perfect size noodles. We also had the cucumbers, pot stickers and chashu taco. We even got to meet the owner Mikey who was serving food, taking orders and budding tables. Good place to try if you're in the area.
