Kazan Ramen Bistro

Went on a Saturday night around six. Waited about an hour and a half. The host was very pleasant and apologetic for wait. They have an interesting take on ramen called the volcano which was pretty tasty. I also tried the shio ramen. The pork is so tender and delicious. Only giving it 4 due to the service being a little spotty as they are new. Good food though.

This place was so good. Had the vegetable ramen and it boasts a lot of flavor with a mix of veggies. Noodles were fresh and the meal was filling. The atmosphere is really nice and the service was exceptional. Don’t think twice when thinking about dining here.

This place was amazing! I want to say it beats uncle on flavor and atmosphere.. my wife had the veggie ramen and it was a perfect balance of flavors. We will most definitely be back and we can’t wait to share this place with our friends and family. Thank you everyone at Kazan!

So much fun! And great taste! Really like the atmosphere, good place for date night!

This is the average of two visits. 4 stars for the first visit and one for the last visit. Last because I'll most likely choose another place on Tennyson before Kazan for quite a while. First visit we were the only customers at the time we arrived. A few tables filled as we ate. Service was good. Food was good, especially the Kazan bowl my wife got. We couldn't wait for cooler weather to go back since it was June and quite warm out. Tonight 8.3.18, the bartender tells us to sit at the bar and wait for a table. After 5-10 minutes, another couple walks in and he seats them immediately. Then waits on three other tables. We walked out and went to another place for dinner. Might try again, but won't be for a while because of this experience.

Great Ramen, amazing atmosphere and I was greeted with a warm Japanese welcome by the Bar Manager Scott as I arrived! The food is well worth the wait, and I'll definitely be back SOON, with more friends. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to frequenting this fine establishment often!

The host was very nice. We got on the list and went to the bar. The bar was full of people waiting for drinks and the bar manager (who seems to be the only person that can make drinks) was busy on his cell phone. We asked another person for service who was in training and he ended up getting the bar managers attention. This place has a crazy long wait. The bar experience should be spectacular if you’re going to wait that long. The experience after being seated was better and the ramen is good. Not worth the wait and will not go back until the hype dies down.

Really poor service. It seems like the manager doesn't really know what to do to lead this restaurant to success. An item we ordered was never brought to the table, even after we reminded our server. One person at our table got their ramen over 20 minutes before anyone else was served; his ramen was cold by the time we got our food, which was only after we complained. It seemed like we were an annoyance to the wait staff and manager rather than a priority. The manager promised us a 25% discount for our trouble and ended up only giving us a 20% discount, so that was weird. It's a shame it's such a mess, since the food is overall good; won't be back. There are ramen restaurants that are just as good, some much better, with a much more successful dining experience in this same neighborhood.
