Well my stars speak for themselves the food is delicious, from the shares to the entrée and desserts. Their staff is very nice they are prompt and well dressed and attentive. The establishment itself is small but nicely put together with seating outside as well. The food however is the star, it's been a while since I can sincerely brag about flavor taste texture. Thank you for having us, we will be back!

Google
A great pairing of flavor and atmosphere. The feel of up scale dining but with a relaxed vibe. The courtyard is great to have brunch in, and the staff is amazing. You'll fill up on the meal, but don't forget a desert togo!

Our waitress was very friendly. The plating was nice and visually appealing. However, the food lacked any real flavor and came out luke-warm. Overall, it was a decent place, and I would try it again, but it struck me as a place resting on its laurels.

Google
I absolutely love the atmosphere at KBC, the staff was very attentive and plentiful. The food was amazing! I had the brunch burger and it was delicious and huge. He had a salad that was as great as it looked. Great experience, we will be back.

I’ve been several times so this is a well thought out review of KBC. During my fifth visit, and most important celebration, becoming a physician and a Navy LT, and the service was very subpar. Reservation for 5 people was made 3 months ahead of time. We weren’t the only table celebrating something special that night, most were celebrating the medical school graduation and/or award ceremony/Military Commissioning. The restaurant was understaffed and not prepared. Despite being a reservation for 5, we were seated late, and at a table for 4. My elderly parents were packed into a table with my wife sitting in the end of a table for 4. Awkward celebration to say the least. Food took forever to come out. The server came back over after we were almost done with our entrees, didn’t ask us if we wanted dessert 🍰 or coffee ☕️. While this is America, not Europe, and it’s appropriate to drop the bill before the customer asks for it…almost all servers will certainly try to sell a dessert or after dinner cocktail before dropping the check. Felt like we were being pushed out unnecessarily. The day my parents get to watch their only child graduate from medical school is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The celebration was dulled. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Delicious food and such a cozy atmosphere. Loved sitting outside with all the plants. Dog friendly on the patio!

Google
Beautiful atmosphere, clean and calming. Staff is super friendly. We ordered okra fries and smoked wings, both of which seemed a little bland (especially the okra). The catfish sandwich was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked but again, the accompanied fries were bland. The snapper was perfectly seasoned but EXTREMELY overcooked! I literally struggled to cut the fish with a butter knife - should’ve broken with just a fork. Side of brussels was oily but tasty. Our waitress only came by about 4x during the little more than 1.5 hours we were there. Overall, a decent, but underwhelming experience. I’ve paid way less for better meals.

Wow, love this place! The food is outstanding and the service is fantastic. We stop to eat here when we come through this area. In old downtown setting is great and parking was abundant. Thank you for a memorable meal.

Yelp
The service was amazing. The patio was a very unique setup. The fried chicken sandwich and the fried chicken salad were seasoned really well and was a huge portion. I had the brisket burnt end melt. The description sold me immediately. I was very disappointed when I took my first bite. The bbq sauce drowned out any flavor from the brisket and was way too sweet for me. The brisket came shredded with the sauce already mixed in with it. It appeared to be shredded beef and not burnt ends as described on the menu.

Yelp
Went for brunch with some friends from out of town. Happy to say experience was better than the last time we went. Service, as before was good, but this time food came out in a reasonable amount of time and everything was hot and tasty. We ordered two brunch burgers, kids chicken tenders, the burnt ends sandwich, the hangover bowl and the grandma's breakfast. Sides were good, although the chips and fries were just mediocre. The fries didn't taste fresh, maybe re-heated, but can't say for sure. Others in our group had grits and said they were delicious. Restaurant was busy, but not crazy, and, again, our server was friendly and attentive. Glad we gave it a second shot, definitely saw an improvement.

Yelp
Never thought I'd end up in Dothan,AL but this was highly recommended for lunch. And to my surprise, a season winner from one of my favorite shows owns this restaurant. The food is very good. Great service. And the desserts from the counter prior to leaving were tempting... of course I got some macaroons and cookies. Definitely will be back here.

Yelp
Stopped in Dothan for the night and I had to come here and give this place a try. I sat at the bar and the service there was excellent. My butterbean soup dumplings were delicious and had a nice kick to them from the chili crisp. I did wish they were a bit plumper and the broth on its own was very salty. The pork chop was so light and juicy. I finished the whole thing and didn't feel stuffed.

Yelp
Decor - Farmhouse-y comfy Food - Hip Farm to table Noise Level - average to loud during busy times I took my mom here for a few girls lunches. Which mom, is a picky eater, so that speaks volumes about the quality of their menu and service. We ordered the sandwiches of the day, because we are adventurous eaters! I'd recommend the same for you. The creativity on the menu is perfection. We have also tried the soups. Which were delightful! One thing that you cannot escape is that you are in the south, and there is true southern charm in the service. I also appreciate that, they are accepting of all. Which is not always the case when in this part of the country. I felt, as a person in the LGBTQ+ space; this was a place that all have a place to be. Pros: Amazing Food, Comfortable Space and Decor Cons: I sat by the door, which, I would not recommend.

Danica F.

Yelp
AMAZING quality! Server was friendly, professional, and very attentive. The interior ambience was very jazzy and beautiful, matching the outdoor music and lighting. A must to visit if you're in Dothan.

Yelp
We were back in town for a family function and knew we had to come back to KBC. We made a reservation for Friday night and were seated promptly at our reservation time. The drinks are top notch and you never feel like you are short changed with the amount of alcohol in them. I opted to start with the cranberry spritz and then ended with the blackberry tart. The spritz was light and refreshing and the blackberry tart was perfectly balanced. We started with the yum yum shrimp wraps. Large, juicy shrimp battered in perfectly seasoned corn starch and fried to perfection. My husband liked it soo much he said he could have just ate fried batter! For our main entrees, my husband got the ribeye, Pittsburgh style and I got the Salmon. While the steak was a little over cooked, the flavor was so good, we didn't even care. The salmon was moist but had this beautiful crisp on it. We had another wonderful meal here and our only complaint is they aren't open on Sunday's! Lol

Valerie D.

Yelp
Food was just ok. I had the cast iron chicken which was dry and tough to chew. I couldn't even. Cut it with my knife. But the mashed potatoes were delicious. Husband had their fish dish pan seared snapper and he said it was delicious. Service was a tad slow, as in we.sat their for like 10 mins before anyone brought us waters. The waiter didn't seem too interested in waiting on us. The restaurant itself looked really cool. Would we go back, probably not.

David R H.

Yelp
This is by far one of the best restaurants Dothan has ever seen. I saw the reviews on YELP and decided to give it a shot for lunch.... really, really special place. Not only is the food excellent (it's better than excellent) but the attention to detail with plating and over the top service. Our waitress was Hayden and I don't think I've ever been treated kinder. Just an absolutely fantastic experience and not one employee did I pass that didn't thank me for coming. Look, I go to YELP to get insight into where I should eat in different areas I visit too... I'M TELLING YOU TO COME HERE (mic drop) (Seriously, this probably just became my FAVORITE restaurant). You'll make a mistake if you choose somewhere else)

Sue W.

Yelp
Excellent food! We all enjoyed our sandwiches and chips. Cute atmosphere and great service!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try KBC, ever since I saw Kelsey on Tournament of Champions. The location is great and the building itself is really rustic, definitely my type of place! We were having a 40th birthday surprise party for one of my best friends so they gave us a big table in a separate room. Our waitress was wonderful! We had 13 people so it was quite a long time before we got our entrees but our apps came out pretty quick. One appetizer "blew up" in the oven so they brought us a different app, free of charge. The broth for our "Southern Potstickers" was so good that I pretty much drank it straight from the bowl. The potsticker itself reminded me a bit of a pierogi. Our entrees were not served together and one person in our party didn't get her food until we had to leave to go axe throwing. I HIGHLY recommend the furikake fries and the deviled eggs (both apps) and the pork chop! I did hear that the steak frites were the best steak our friend has ever eaten!! All in all, I would go back.

Rhonda J.

Yelp
Continues to be one of our go-to places. Live to go for brunch on Saturday and sit at the bar with Heather and David or Renee . The food and drink options are creative .

David M.

Yelp
What a fabulous dining experience to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Top Chef Winner Kelsey B Clark's is definitely a foodie destination. We decided to order a bunch of appetizers and one entree to share. Everything and I mean everything was Mouth Watering Delicious MWD. On top of the to die for grub is the truly exceptional staff. Our waitress Alexis aka Lexi made sure that we were completely satisfied. She was professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the restaurant and meals. We will definitely make the 2 hour drive just to eat here again.

Yelp
KBC is located on the beautiful and festive Foster St in Dothan. Inside you will be greeted by rustic brickwork with a flair of historical lighting and live music on a weeknight with a talented singer and guitar player. Don't forget to eye the baked goods display at the front and save your choice for later. I settled in for a classic cocktail, the Sazerac. Delicious. The bartender Renee took great care of me. I ordered the Salmon and have now decided this will be my favorite dish here. Maybe my favorite venue to eat salmon in AL! The salmon had a seared crust that was savory and was topped southern butter bean lime cilantro vinaigrette. Wow!! Served on a bed of savory rice, this meal was amazing! I grabbed a cornflake and chocolate chip cookie to go and look forward to enjoying it later. The last time I dined here I had their amazing uncle Bo burger and a cookie to go. The cookie did not make it all the way back to my hotel. We will see how this cookie fares tonight, but I feel that it's chances are not great of making it back either. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Yelp
BAD EXPERIENCE! Came in from out of town to eat a later lunch. Arrived at 2pm but was stopped at the door by a worker saying they were closed. Sign on the door said they were open until 2:30pm. Clearly the staff just wanted to go home early. I guess the manager left early. Hope the owner or Chef Kelsey reads this.

Abbey J.

Yelp
I personally think the lunch is better than the dinner food. The chicken sandwich they have at lunch is delicious so are the truffle fries or sweet potato fries.

John Z.

Yelp
A very cool vibe with great ambiance, incredible food, and top notch service! Flounder stuffed with crab was a world class meal and I'm excited to come here again! Worth the trip to Dothan if only to enjoy this restaurant!

Vivi B.

Yelp
The restaurant is super cute, there is a lot of outside seating. We sat at the bar it's remolded and a nice selection of spirits. The bartender was very welcoming and service was exceptional. We asked what we're the favorite sandwiches. The staff pick was the cocky and hers was three pigs. They were both outstanding. The Gouda & Sriracha in the three pigs was out of this world. We had no room for dessert but, the cookies looked delicious!

Jessica A.

Yelp
I was in town last weekend visiting my bff who knows I'm a huge Top Chef fan and had been dying to visit this restaurant! We went for lunch and were seated right away at the bar (a table would have been a wait and they seemed short staffed that day). The bartender whose name I don't recall, was amazing - he was friendly, funny, really knew the menu, and made delicious drinks! I had the spicy margarita and my friend had a grapefruit drink that's name escapes me. She had the turkey wrap (because she was bummed the yes sir yes ma'am was no longer on the menu) and I knew immediately I was having the pimento cheese sandwich - it has bacon, tomatoes, and DELICIOUS pimento cheese - my mouth is watering just typing this!! We both had fries and everything was amazing! The restaurant is cute, I love the toys up front for kiddos to play w while they're waiting, and I loved the overall ambiance of the venue. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting!

Yelp
Second time at KBC. Last visit was exceptional. This time, not so much. The service was great, we experienced a brief wait but expected this. We ordered from the lunch menu as it was after one on Saturday. We ordered the Bees Knees with fries and vinegar slaw and a Mo burger sans bun. My sister enjoyed her burger bowl, said it was "fire". My chicken sandwich was a huge disappointment. One, the chicken was in a finger cut style, they were tough. I expect a better quality of chicken from an establishment of this reputation. It was not warm and the condiments were non existent. Bees knees: put some honey on it. The vinegar slaw was just that, vinegar. Add some salt. I missed the appetizers from my first evening visit. I just wanted the street corn.

Yelp
Ate here for the first time last night and I wish I could give this more than 5 stars! Darby was incredible. Never had such friendly, relatable and prompt service. Very tidy, with a high end ish but welcoming atmosphere. It was my daughter's birthday and it really couldn't have been better. They were out of ceviche but its good to know they order fresh! Darby recommended everything we did have and it was 10/10! Needless to say we will be back and will be asking for her!

Daniel M.

Yelp
Unfortunately , i did not have a great experience. Had to send the muscles back- over cooked and not fresh. Service was great. The roof was leaking onto our table.

Dave T.

Yelp
I will start by saying the okra fries are legit and the best ever. A relaxed atmosphere that's also somewhat swanky and kid friendly all at the same time. A great place for families, couples or just anyone to get a drink and something to eat. My entree arrived a little bit on the not so freshly hot side which was a bit of a disappointment.

Stefan W.

Yelp
A piece of mediocre pie was $15. The steak was alright, but I make it better at home. This is not a bad place, but don't get excited by the Top Chef thing.

Chelsea O.

Yelp
I called to make a reservation and was told to make the reservation via email instead. I emailed my reservation and received a confirmation email back that they had my reservation down. Day of my reservation I go to the restaurant and was told they could not find my reservation and that I would have to wait at minimum an hour before my party could be seated. They offered nothing for their mistake. I will not be eating here again or recommending it to any other friends. I've lost my trust in their business for lack of apologies.

Michelle S.

Yelp
So disappointing. I was here in Dothan a few days for work and was referred to this restaurant based on their unique deviled eggs. I started with those (ok), ordered a dozen XL VA raw oysters, and concluded with a cornflake chocolate chip cookie. First off... I was seated at the overflow dining area at the front of the door. I was freezing considering it was 59 F outside. This was a Wednesday at 5:20 PM!! I didn't even get to enter the restaurant!! I felt so unwelcomed at my table for 1. The oysters had no salt water and were flushed with tap water. The waitress was friendly but not qualified to be a server at this over-priced, pretentious restaurant. The oysters did not arrive with saltines NOR hot sauce. I HAD TO ASK on two separate occasions. The hot sauce was needed to choke down the tasteless oysters which were served with horseradish and an unappealing wine / vinegar condiment... even worse... garnished with micro greens and cilantro. The pairings were so off. The homemade, delicious cookie made my depressing experience remind me of home and wish I'd never have entered this establishment. Go to Full Moon BBQ instead.

Susan S.

Yelp
Kacy was my server and was very helpful in helping me decide. Cute place, great atmosphere and hopping for a Wednesday night. The service was fast and the food was amazing. Had the short ribs. This was the perfect bowl size. This came with the radish mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The short ribs were well flavored and nice and tender, you could cut it with a fork. Kacy twisted my arm and I ordered the lemon macaroons. They did not disappoint!

Sarah G.

Yelp
Austin was an incredible waiter and the food was delish! So grateful for this beautiful lunch!

Andrea H.

Yelp
We had Kacy W. as our server and she was hands down the BEST server we have ever had. Even if this food wasn't good, which it WAS, I am coming back just for her. The ambiance inside was so enjoyable and relaxing. I ordered the salmon and it was fantastic! My husband ordered the Cajun Pasta and absolutely loved it. The crab dip was okay but was still better than most places. Great service Great food Coming back!

Freda F.

Yelp
I was soo excited to try this place...I hate to say, but it was such a let down :(. The catfish had boiled peanuts in the sandwhich and the catfish had zero flavor. The white potato fries were cold. The toasted red pepper soup was just ok. The only saving grace were the sweet potato fries...they were great. Its not a pricey place...our bill was under $50. Service was attentive. We arrived around 1pm, so we were after the lunch rush...we were seated immediately.

Dara A.

Yelp
The atmosphere was wonderful. The drinks were amazing. The food however was a bit underwhelming. The steak was served cold. The duck seemed undercooked and the snapper seemed overcooked. We ordered shrimp ceviche that was never served. The furikake fries and the wings were pretty good.

Douglas L.

Yelp
I was in Dothan for business and my daughter came from Ft Bragg to visit and dine with me so we selected KBC We dined in, asked for the open air seating outside with dim lighting, had wonderful service from the staff and the food was cooked perfectly. It was a good dining experience. We ate the Steak Frites and the ribeye was cooked perfectly. ask to be seated outside where it is open air and the old brick walls provide nice abbiance

James A.

Yelp
KBC has an award winning chef with excellent food and excellent presentation for a hometown restaurant. Highly recommend for people who enjoy fine dining food with a hometown ambiance

Briana C.

Yelp
My fiancé works here Kendrick! Excellent presentation when it comes to the food!! The salmon was fresh which was a plus!! Fine dining!! Great JOB kBC!!!!

Daina E.

Yelp
Was excited to eat here. This was supposed to be a late anniversary celebration. We drive over an hour to get here. We had reservations, showed up about 20 mins early, we were seated, the restaurant wasn't busy, we waited more than 10 mins and no one ever stopped to take our order. A couple was seated while we were still waiting for our sever and they were served immediately. We got up and left, informed the manager of what happened. We will not be going back.

Devry A.

Yelp
Quick service, tasty food! We've been here a few times now and everything everyone got, they've loved... good southern cooking! It's in the historic part of town in a really cute building... the staff were so friendly and helpful! They have delish tiny ice and put the salad dressing on the side!

Whitney Y.

Yelp
The most wonderful restaurant in the world!!! Every time we visit Dothan this is a MUST! The restaurant is clean and beautifully decorated. KBC even has a changing room for babies separate from the bathroom so my hubby can easily change our baby too!!!!! Food and service always top notch... so much we also recommend the Kelsey's cook book Southern Grit! YAS!!!!

Carol F.

Yelp
Had watched Top Chef and was excited to eat here so I ordered a salad and most of it was good but spring mix had lots of old lettuce in it all black and slimy and bread was like a brick!!! Very disappointing!!

M W.

Yelp
I never give 5's but KBC deserves it. Not only is Kelsey a good human, like a GREAT human, but she creates some incredible food. Her background speaks for itself. The service is stellar, the ambiance is something Dothan needs, and the food each has a unique flavor worthy of a spot to be held in the Wiregrass. Nothing subpar here. The brunch on Saturdays is incredible, but everything we've had has always made us say, "so fricking good"

Chelsea G.

Yelp
Delicious food. Very flavorful! Service was great, very friendly. Super cute restaurant with bakery options.

Kaylyn T.

Yelp
I was in Dothan to see a friend and she took me to KBC. She said that she didn't make a reservation, but if we arrive right when they open they should be able to accommodate us. They were in fact able to seat us right away. Our server Jennifer was incredible! Hi Jen!! She explained the menu by pulling out some top sellers and also her favorites which is always great to hear. She really sold us on the pork shank special though. I mean, it didn't take much because I was pretty much sold on just the description alone. The pork shanks were slow cooked and served with a mushroom ragu. They were then plated on top of a bed of grits. We also ordered the wicked chickens (deviled eggs with brisket and okra on top) & Brussels sprouts. I also ordered a Foster Fizz (deep eddy's grapefruit vodka, tonic, lemon). The cocktail was good. It was very refreshing. But I feel like I can make it at home, so it was nothing extraordinary. That's honestly how I felt about their entire cocktail menu. Our entrees came out before the appetizers and when Jen noticed, she panicked! They brought out the appetizers soon after, and honestly it was nice to have everything at once. I do feel like we had to reassure them that it was okay, because it was. They really went so far out of their way to make it "right". Anyways, all of the food was incredible. The entree was like a warm and fuzzy hug. The deviled eggs were really good, and the Brussels were great too! The only picture I managed to get was of the entree. Since it's a special it won't be on their menu, but it should honestly just take residency there because it needs to be a permanent option. Cheers y'all.

Tom K.

Yelp
Great burger and wife's power bowl had lots of Flickr. Nice atmosphere in the outside patio.

Roy M.

Yelp
$32 for 5 at most medium size grilled scallops! No side with them. Served on about 2 tbs of cream corn which was quite good. Scallops were a little stringy. Wife's French fries were just barely warm and burger was way over done. I was disappointed with this experience.

Dawn D.

Yelp
Food was good ambience was even better. Service was excellent. Would definitely go here again.

Darryl D.

Yelp
A one rating is too generous for this outfit. The service is garbage....No other way to say it, it took over 20 minutes to get water, cocktails and an appetizer order in. Then for the main menu our food took over an hour to come out and it was cold. Slow on the service with less than stellar food when there is a limited menu. This place was highly recommended for quality and service.... Definitely did not experience any of that tonight and for certain will not be returning. Epic fail KBC.... Never again for me, based solely on the service. Don't recommend this joint at all, save yourself the disappointment and let down!

Human K.

Yelp
on a good night kbc is undoubtedly top-two dining experience in the wiregrass, full stop. the new menu items we had at supper recently were terrific. cocktails, wine list... check check. front of house treats you well from start to finish. i'm local and i'm proud kbc is local. 10/10 would recommend.

Lisa O.

Yelp
Our group had reservations tonight at 7 p.m. and they had been emailed to you and the person working out front acknowledged he had our reservations down for us, and we asked a second time at 7:20 when we still had not been seated. He said he was getting it ready right then and came back and set 2 other groups that had come in after us. Our reservations were for a party of 6 adults and 2 children. We left because we were never acknowledged at all after speaking to the front person two times. I am very disappointed with what transpired tonight. We have always talked about how wonderful your restaurant is and was looking forward to introducing some of our family to your restaurant and food. But now, we will be second guessing making reservations or even coming to your restaurant again.

Michael B.

Yelp
Delicious food and great service. Came for lunch and waited five minutes to be seated. Our party had the Cuban sandwich, bees knees sandwich and a salad. Highly recommend all of it. Cocktails were delicious too.

Tammy L.

Yelp
Loved the food, attentive wait staff, and restaurant design! Seems like they're always busy but there's a nice spot to wait. It's casual and unpretentious but delicious! Be warned, especially with children, they put grated Parmesan on all the fries. Just ask to leave it off if you're not fans. Save room for macarons!
