We visited KEA on a Monday afternoon and to keep it short it was lovely!
A bit more into detail, the service was great, our bites/starters were the star of the meal and then especially the eel croissant and the unique form of croquettes.
With the starters we drank a white rioja from the town of LaGuardia this went immaculately well with the bites.
For the main we had the Iberian pork cheeks and this was probably the most tender slow cooked meat I ever tried, the soft, salty and umami sauce went so well with the potato puree foam, the potato puree foam created one big emulsion in the mouth. All together a 10.
And then for the ‘postre’ aka dessert, we had the cheese cake. To give you the slightest idea of how delicious it was; today we visited San Sebastián and had our usual ‘best cheesecake from basque’ made by the restaurant La vina, it was nothing compared to the cheesecake from KEA. The cheesecake has this distinct flavor which I think comes from a unique cheese used in the cheesecake.
And then finally one big shout out to the service, we had such a lovely lady all the way from Colombia and she was great with the wines, social skills and serving skills. She honestly made our experience from a 9/10 to a 10/10.
10/10 would recommend, definitely coming back!
