Keefer's Restaurant

I came here with a party of nine for a weekday dinner. Great ambiance -- lively, great energy, but still warm and intimate. Our servers were also good with recommendations since many of us had not been there for. For appetizers, the prosciutto wrapped asparagus with this creamy sauce was fantastic. I had the filet (I do medium-well, but a lot of my table order medium-rare and said they did a great job cooking) and it was good. Not the best steak I've had in Chicago, but very solid. I'd like to come back and try seafood options.

The best service I've ever experienced at this type of establishment. The host was none other than Mr. Keefer who was one of the most approachable people I've ever met. And our waiter (I wish I could remember his name) was very informed about everything from how the food is prepared to the best wine pairings for what we chose. My wife and I will definitely be back. Thanks for a great experience.

Had a small, but good meal. Split a filet mignon which worked out to be a good sized serving without being overwhelming. Was cooked according to the request. Side of potatoes was fine, nothing special. They do not know what kind of glass to serve Armagnac in, but overall, a nice, casual experience.

I really enjoyed their soft shell crab appetizer with prosciutto. Excellent swordfish entree too. Decent wine selection. Hotel food truly has entered a golden age.

I came here for lunch and it was a great option. Everyone I was with thoroughly enjoyed their meals. It was a little on the pricey side but not more than anything else in the river north area. I will definitely be back here to try out dinner.

Another Quality steak house in Chicago. I mean if you want steak, Chicago is your place. I really think they have great food here. Service is good and it's got nice ambiance. I would recommend this to anyone in the area looking for a good place to eat some awesome steak.

Great true Chicago Steakhouse! Food is top notch with excellent service without the stuffy feel. I love the mussels app dish and my New York Strip was the BEST!

Service makes our brakes it - no matter how great the good is. Our service tonight was HORRIBLE!!! He made it seem like we were the worst people in the world for asking for a second round of drinks. In order for us to get our third round we thought placing the cups at the end of the table would work.... nope.. after him walking by about 8 times we had to stop him... this is on going still but so far not so good. Aaron this isn't the job for you.
