Yelp
We enjoyed dinner here with friends. It feels like an Irish pub when you walk in with a cozy atmosphere. Our server was friendly and energetic. The menu has a lot of variety with some unique offerings. I tried the sourdough grilled cheese with tomato bisque. It was quite tasty. My hubby had the BLT and enjoyed it. My only complaint is the price. It seemed a little high, but that does seem to be the case everywhere these days. It's good to have another yummy food option nearby!

Yelp
St Patrick's weekend! Loud inside but beautiful night we could sit outside! Came Friday night before it was crazy on weekend... Enjoyed everything!

Yelp
Great time here as always. Food is wonderful and everyone is friendly and helpful. I wish they played more English football here with the sound on but food and beverage is solid.

Yelp
Keegan's in Kennesaw is an Irish pub nestled in the center of a plaza in Kennesaw. We found parking during dinner rush on Friday eve and were immediately greeted by the hostess as we walked through the door. They had two tables left at dinner - a high top in the bar or patio. Easy to choose patio since it was beautiful outside. The patio had lots of empty space but the chairs were pollen dusted and a bit paint worn. The waiter visited our table several times and checked on us through the experience. A waitress also did- great service experience. Service :A+ Drinks: Diet Coke in large mason jars, Guinness, half-and-half, raspberry lemon drop martini and a chocolate leprechaun martini. all A+++ Apps: fried pickles and bar nachos -solid, fresh. Dinner : Fish & Chips, Deluxe Grilled Cheese All crispy and came out as we finished apps - everything was just as we expected

Yelp
TLDR: ALLERGY WARNING!!!!! Don't eat here if you have food allergies. We've ordered from Keegan's several times and have liked their food. Tonight, we ordered from GrubHub. I order a chopped salad with added chicken and no egg. First, my order arrived with no chicken, but whatever. Two, I placed in the note that I'm allergic to eggs. I'm actually allergic to eggs and have ended up in the ER due to unreported eggs in things. On the GrubHub app, it states that the standard dressing is the Lemon Basil dressing. Sounds like a vinaigrette of sorts to me, so I go with the standard Lemon Basil dressing. There's no indication on the app that there's egg in the dressing. Our order arrives, and written on my salad's box is that there's egg in the dressing. If I explicitly state that I'm allergic to an ingredient in a dressing, why not call me to see if I'd like another dressing instead of just giving me the dressing I'm allergic to? Albeit it's in its own cup inside the salad's box, but now there's no dressing, and I'm concerned if my salad has had any contact with the dressing. There's no way for me to know. Next, I called Keegan's to let them know that that's a dangerous practice. The woman I spoke with on the phone simply stated that she wrote on the box about there being egg in the dressing as if I was supposed to grovel at her feet in gratitude for warning me that they put a deadly substance next to my food. I can't believe the ignorance. She could not have cared less. I tried to explain that I could still be at risk with the dressing, not knowing how the rest of my food was handled. She wouldn't listen to me. She told me how people claim all the time how they're allergic to onions or tomatoes just so that they avoid eating something that they actually just don't like but not really allergic to. I'm dumbfounded. So she thinks that she can be judge and jury on whether someone is actually allergic to something??? I tried explaining my case again, but she then condescended to me and tried to "educate" me that eggs are a common ingredient in dressings and I should know that as someone who says they're allergic to eggs. Umm...duh! Why does she think I let them know that I'm allergic to eggs?! In case there's eggs in anything else! Keegan's, in the future, if a customer tells you they're allergic to something, take it seriously. Call the customer to let them know that the ingredients they're allergic to are in other food items. It's not difficult to use your brain. I really don't know what else to say other than, if you have food allergies, don't eat here! They don't take it seriously. To Keegan's, thanks for the note before inadvertently sending me to the hospital, I guess. I'll just throw the salad away since you can't be trusted to make thoughtful decisions.

Yelp
Run of the mill Irish bar, it's not a bad thing. Attentive servers. Good selection of drinks and nice outdoor space for a strip mall. Bangers and mash are a smash!

Yelp
Great little pub to have a drink and bite to eat. I stopped by for a late lunch snack and had the smothered tots. Not great for you, but definitely taste great. The service is friendly, fast and the place is full of regulars so you know it's good if they keep coming back.

Yelp
Appetizer and Rueben were good. Service needs improvement. We met up for a late lunch, 3 pm slow Monday, one person and her dog at the outdoor bar and our table of 4, with some "regulars" inside the bar. The 3 out of 4 of us already had eaten, so an afternoon beverage/cocktail was all we were after. My wife orders her USUAL dessert chocolate martini (your leprechaun named drink). Your restaurant version but switches to Grey Goose. Which we know 80% of all run of the mill bars use a typical vanilla vodka. Cheap vodkas give my wife an instant headache/congestion , but the bartender/server really wanted to let her know the taste "would be different" and suggested 3 other bottom shelf Vodkas. What she didn't want to do is simply understand, we know what we order and want. Don't be condescending with attitude ,it's that simple. She delivers the drink and we notice a swirl of what we thought was chocolate that would mix in, but it didn't, it was a dog hair, likely from the dog at the bar. I took it back to let Miss Attitude know and her immediate comment, which she said twice was , "she didn't like it did she". No Miss, there is a hair floating on the top. Not a coincidence since you let dogs sit on barstools and leave the water dish on the bar top. (We have zero problems with dogs at restaurants. We have actually brought ours and sat in the back corner of your patio). We would have replaced the drink but opted to just have her take it off the bill, she just has a way of ruining a good afternoon cocktail. We were still there to see two guys come in and sit where the dog had been at the outside bar and he politely moved the dog bowl out of their way so they could sit. The eye rolls she gave them was just a continuation of her condescending attitude. The bar should have already been wiped and dog bowl removed so not sure why she was upset with them. Should have left a no tip, but that's not who we are. She got her 20% on a small bill, maybe next time treat customers with respect, the bill goes up making the restaurant and server more money.

Yelp
I've been here very often. They are very friendly, the beers are tasty, the service is attentive and friendly, and the food is generally okay. I will continue to come here because it is a good experience with great consistency. It's a local pub atmosphere with an Irish-ish menu, that isn't knock your socks off or anything. But you don't come here for gourmet food or authentic cuisine. You come here because you are in the neighborhood and the beer is cold. Some nights (Tuesdays, Wednesdays) they have live music that is sometimes too loud for the size of the place.

Yelp
I love me a good Irish Pub and luckily Keegan's has three locations on the West/NW side of the city for me to pop into when I need to feel at home with my fellow red bearded brethren! This particular Keegan's is located in the Ridenour area of Kennesaw, which sits on Ernest Barrett Parkway in a small shopping plaza that features a sushi spot, running store and few other small businesses. For reference, it is located across from Popeye's, Flying Biscuit and QT. The other locations of Keegan's are in Woodstock and Vinings. With this location being in a small shopping center that is shared with another busy restaurant, parking can come at a premium. You may have to get creative if you come on a busy evening. I know people who have parked at the nearby apartment complexes front office, after hours of course, and walked over. If you want that Irish whiskey along with those bangers and mash, you will find you a way. Speaking of bangers and mash, the food here is decent. About 90% of my visits have only been for beers and appetizers, but I did have said bangers and mash on one visit and while I wasn't blown away, I didn't regret my order. The sausage was a little tough for me, I am used to a casing, but this was the actual sausage that was tougher than I am used to. The gravy was good and perfect for the mash. It was actually needed, as the potatoes were pretty plain and needed a little more seasoning. But, nothing the table salt/pepper couldn't fix. As for appetizers, my favorite has been the Irish Spring Rolls. They are definitely more egg roll than spring roll, but now we are splitting red hairs. Either way they are a perfectly fried wonton of corned beef, cheese and cabbage sided with the essential 1000 island. We have also had the Keegan chips and nachos. The chips are great as they are served warm and crispy topped with blue cheese. You can add buffalo chicken and bacon if you want...and now thinking back, I am not sure why we didn't. Smh. The nachos were basic bar nachos. Nothing to highlight, but nothing to complain about either. Outside of the items listed above, their menu does feature a wide variety of dishes from burgers, salads, wings, soups, sandwiches, sides, desserts and of course a few house specialties such as fish and chips and shepherd's pie. The drink menu is equally expansive with cocktails, coffee drinks and a healthy variety of beers. While I will admit to having a pickle back every now and then, my go to here and most Irish spots is a good Smithwicks or Snakebite. Service has always been solid here. We have sat in the booths in the bar area each of our visits, with the exception of the patio one time. Each visit, the service is friendly, timely and on point. Overall, Keegan's is a solid spot that I really enjoy. I am in Kennesaw often and live near Vinings, so I hit those two locations up on the regular. I guess I need to check the Woodstock location soon!

Yelp
Last night, we decided to stop by Keegan's to enjoy a nice meal and play trivia for the first time. Upon sitting down, we were greeted with a dark ambiance and a waitress who appeared seemingly from thin air to take our orders. I received the Keegan's burger which was great up until everything changed. My vision blurred as I participated in trivia. Questions more and more difficult as the pain set into my stomach. Absolutely horrible. The bathroom seemed like the only viable option for me at that point but to my cursed luck I was surprised with no open facilities. I waited outside the door, trying desperately to keep the famous Keegan's burger from exploding all over the hallway. Trivia rang threw my ears, the loud music and urgency in the trivia masters voice to turn in answers only made things worse. That's when the door opened. Shaking, I released this cursed substance into the toilet, with no one but myself to witness this evil catastrophe. I can only assume I was the target of something malicious, something so horrible I wouldn't wish it to my greatest enemies. As the night came to an end the suffering wasn't over. Our trivia team (team shoegaze) scored 14 points, landing us in last place. With the terrible news of another loss tonight we walked outside where the rest of my Keegan's burger found itself all over the shrubbery outside the door. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. After leaving I spent the last 5 hours exploding from both ends. The worst feeling of my life. As I write this the day after the worst night of my life all I can think about is "why Keegan?". this sounds like a joke but I'm never going back I still feel horrible. To the cooks in this restaurant - do better. Wash your hands and your stations so no one else has to experience what I have. Thanks keegan's

Yelp
Husband and I decided to stop in to try this Irish pub today for lunch and regret it completely. We both had fish and chips and it was the blandest tasting fish I've ever had, and the chips were soggy and greasy. We will not be back.

Yelp
WOW! Best Irish pub around! The food was EXCELLENT! BEST ITISH FOOD IN GEORGIA!!! Perfect Irish pub atmosphere, romantic date night setting.

Yelp
Reuben egg rolls!!! They have really good food. Love the pub feel. We would go more often if it was closer. Nice neighborhood bar. Nice patio. Every year they have a huge St. Patrick's Day party.

Yelp
Food is a hit or miss here at Keegan's. We were a little frustrated with the service until we found out that the servers were having to wash the dishes from their table. That's crazy! My favorite was the spicy double hamburger with fries, I did NOT like the seared tuna served on a hot plate warming up the coleslaw, The crust was flavorless, yuck. But the tuna itself was good. Ask for the wasabi sauce on the side because it's crazy spicy and would easily overwhelm the dish. Have a mercy on the servers they are washing their own dishes.

Yelp
Who doesn't love a good Irish pub. What surprised me was their brunch. Awesome Bloody Marys and Eggs Benedict. Service is always good and no long lines. For evening visits love their Irish Egg Rolls.

Yelp
Reuben egg rolls my favorite. All good is awesome. Atmosphere is great staff too. I have family in town from New York who are Irish. I brought them to Keegan's in Smyrna and they were absolutely in heaven.

Yelp
Great service, relaxed vibe and delicious food! Even when busy service is friendly and attentive! Pretzels are amazing!

Yelp
Bangers and mash were huge and delicious. Great local dark beer on tap as well as Guinness for those die hards. Staff were friendly and the food was awesome so great combination.

Thomas M.

Yelp
The place seems amenable enough. However, I had chosen to go there for a takeout because the price seemed reasonable. But when I got there, the price rang up half again more than the price on the website for that location. I mentioned the issue and they checked the website and agreed that they had changed their prices without updating the website. There was no accommodation given - not even splitting the difference between what they advertised online and what they had on in-store menus. Really annoying.

Yelp
Random lunch on a Thursday. We were greeted and sat immediately. Our waitress, who was also the bartender got us both to get the bloody mary's and informed us of Sundays, where the bloody mary's get more interesting toppings (like shrimps or slim Jim's)! The food was amazing, chicken pot pie and pot roast cheesesteak as well as an ahi tuna appetizer. 10/10 and coming back Sunday for some drinks!!!

Yelp
Last meal with our daughter before she got married. Not enough good to say. One of the appetizers would have been almost enough for the Bide and I as a meal. No Bass beer here but they did have Smithwicks, her all time favorite as well as Harp and Guiness on tap. We try to avoid chains when we can but all Keegan's seem to be good.

Yelp
Ordered two Deluxe Grilled Cheese sandwiches with tomato bisques and the kettle chips with buffalo chicken app as a to-go order. We were sooo excited for the tomato bisques as my friend and I were both feeling a little under the weather, cane home to find out that our bisques were replaced with sides, but didn't even get the side we ordered so it was just a sandwich. The buffalo chicken app was not buffalo chicken (pretty sure it was pork) without any of the buffalo sauce/toppings. The potato slices weren't cooked all the way either. This is the second or third time I've given this location a try because the East Cobb location is soooo good, but it's been a bummer each time. However, customer service was pleasant. Thank you

Alecia W.

Yelp
Food was a hefty portion and pretty good. Will order the Rueben egg rolls again for sure
google avatar

Scott C.

Yelp
This a cozy bar/ restaurant with outdoor seating too. Lots of good options on the menu and always had great service. But It seems there is always an annoying loud person at the bar every time i'm there. Your typical drunk locals i guess.
google avatar

Calex M.

Yelp
The food is amazing! I love the Irish theme and everything was cooked very well. Good portion sizes for everything, and higher price but it was worth it. You should try the Irish Spring Rolls! We also had some fun playing song trivia night. Nice atmosphere, would come back!

Yelp
This pub is a nice place to go have a good meal and a chill relaxed time. I went in a Tuesday for lunch and the waitress was nice and the food was delicious. I will definitely be back.

L S.

Yelp
It was ok- not amazing but not horrible. We had the egg rolls, chicken breast with lemon caper sauce, and meatloaf. The chicken needed a ton more sauce. The egg rolls needed more cheese. The meatloaf wad pretty good. Service was great!
google avatar

Gary P G.

Yelp
We've order twice now from Keegan's through Uber Eats. We've had the meatloaf, fish and chips, pot roast and bangers and mash. Everything we've tried has been a 5. The food is so delicious. It truly reminds me of the home cooked food my grandparents would make. I would take my northern /Irish family members here in a heart beat. Can't wait to try more of the menu.

Yelp
I walked into this establishment with my husband after about a year and half! We took a break from shopping and had a small late lunch of their soup of the day: French Onion Soup!! My favorite!!! The bartender was super friendly and checked on us continuously through out our visit which was a plus. Not sure why it took us this long to come back but overall our experience was pleasant. Next time we will have to have a real meal to taste the food here. Below is their specials through out the week: * Monday: $10 Burger and Brew and Team Trivia * Tuesday: $5 Absolute Cocktails. Beer of the month and a free pint glass after purchase * Wednesday: 1/2 price wines * Thursday: $4 select drafts & live music at 9pm * Friday: Live music at 9pm * Saturday: Live music at 9pm * Sunday: Brunch until 3pm (and I didn't quite get the rest, oops!)

Yelp
*Brunch Review* Visited Keegan's for the first time on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. It's located in a small strip mall off of Barrett Parkway (next to Sushiology, one of my favorites). The parking lot is fairly small, but we've never had a problem getting a spot, even during peak hours. The weather was nice, so we sat outside. Though the patio extends from the front parking lot to the back parking lot, it was quiet and the pergola made it feel secluded. Very pleasant. There's lots of seating and a couple TVs. I didn't get a great look at the inside walking through, but it was really dark...I don't think I would have enjoyed sitting in there for a daytime meal. Brunch is served from 11 am - 3 pm, and the menu includes a mix of class favorites (French toast, omelet, eggs Benedict) and more unique dishes (Irish breakfast, fried chicken, shrimp & grits). For those who want a cocktail, they have a build-your-own bloody mary bar and mimosas (including a $15 bottomless option). The regular lunch menu offers sandwiches, salads, and traditional pub entrees. Most dishes fall in the $10-$15 range. --Eggs Benedict: English muffin topped with rasher bacon (thicker and more fatty than normal bacon), poached egg, and hollandaise and served with a side of breakfast potatoes. Wasn't a huge fan of the bacon, but the dish was great otherwise. --Shepherd's Pie: Ground beef, peas, and corn in gravy topped with mashed potatoes and served with a side of steamed vegetables. Boyfriend really enjoyed it! --Mimosas: Great champagne/juice ratio, well worth the price. Bottom Line: Not sure that I'd want to sit inside, but would definitely return for a meal out on the patio.

Yelp
Love the Bloody Mary Bar. $6 and you can create the most beautiful Bloody Mary there is. Food is good as well. Nothing out of the ordinary, but I never had a bad experience there. Fir Sunday Brunch this is always my first address to go.

Yelp
I have been to this location several times. The atmosphere is great and the staff is attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is so good, in fact, that when I picked up food I completely forgot about my hungry girlfriend at home and sat at the bar chatting away with the friendly staff and patrons. Chicken Pot PieUnfortunately like all restaurants, the whole COVID thing has ruined the joy of "going out to eat". Keegan's is no different and the once "hot spot" is now sparsely filled with patrons. As Keegan's has consistently provided, the food is more than just bar food and is great. The Irish flare of the menu offers something different than a basic Applebee's, Chili's, etc. I will continue to be a customer of Keegan's and look forward to the time when it can resemble the place it was pre-COVID. Shepard's Pie and Chicken Pot Pie have been my go-to items. I recommend Keegan's. Any reviews that have based the restaurant on take out food should be taken with a grain of salt. (Moreover, it seems as though one reviewer may have COVID--I am looking at you the Tracy T.--please don't go out in public).

Mike F.

Yelp
I understand all the food is wonderful here, but I never get past the tomato bisque & grilled cheese. Worth a trip just for this? Wonderful English & Irish beers on tap.
google avatar

Karen N.

Yelp
I admit, for a long time I was not a fan of the traditional Irish cuisine. But something changed...either I did or their menu was tuned up. Either way, I'm now a regular visitor and love this place! Great friendly service, delicious food selection, and above all I have discovered the best spicy bloody mary in Cobb County! Yum!

Lou K.

Yelp
Looks like a hole in the wall, and that's what you want in a pub. The atmosphere is awesome and the staff hustles. Seriously, they are all helping each other out and it's so nice to see. The food portions are big, so you won't leave hungry. Definitely a pub we will visit again.
google avatar

Dallas J.

Yelp
I'll only say this because my mom is not on Yelp: the meatloaf may have been the best meatloaf I've ever had! Chicken pot pie was on point and surprisingly the kids chicken tenders were really good. I would stay far away from the Harp Beer Cheese Dip, it didn't really taste like anything, so that was a bit of a downer. This spot has a cool Irish pub vibe on the inside, dim lit, tall-back wooden booths, lots of wood... but also a cool outdoor seating area where dogs are welcome. Took my expectation of a low key pub fare and elevated it with the things we ordered (except the aforementioned cheese dip that sucked). Will def be back!
google avatar

Bruce K.

Yelp
Half Irish pub, half sports bar. They have a bunch of TV's tuned to the usual sporting events. With some tables outside that are great for a nice day, on the inside half of the place is set up as a bar with booths and the other half is booths and tables. On the beer menu, the usual Guinness and Harp but also a Keegan's Red and then the usual mass-produced American beers. The food menu has things that don't belong in an Irish pub unless you're in the United States - fish tacos and a turkey burger for instance. I missed the Sunday brunch hours, so my dinner was a plate of meatloaf that was served on top of mashed potatoes. Surprisingly good, but I really wanted a Sunday roast sort of thing. I've heard great things about their bread pudding, but I wasn't in a dessert mood. Maybe next time. Important note: The map pin might be off just a touch. It's actually facing Ernest Barrett Parkway. Don't get onto Cobb Parkway and try navigating through a residential neighborhood!
google avatar

Stephen T.

Yelp
The wife and I came for brunch and I was very impressed with their omelet. It had great taste with a nice fluff and slight buttery taste. Probably one of the best restaurant omelets I have ever had. I say restaurant cause it doesn't beat my moms. Ha. My wife got a turkey club and I was so amazed by the bread. I even had to ask what kind of bread they use. It's from Engelmans bakery. I'm so happy to hear they don't use some basic bread like some places. They take the extra step and find the best ingredients for their style. We will definitely be back. Great job guys.

Lorraine B.

Yelp
It's ok, but not if you are looking for something authentic. The fish was nice, but the batter was bland. The coleslaw was equally bland. Wish they had a better range of British beers, that would make it the go to place in Atlanta! They did have malt vinegar, so that was a plus. The overall feel of the place was welcoming and much like a pub in Ireland or Great Britain.

Reviewing 4 U.

Yelp
Giving this establishment one star is generous. Let me start with the staff: It has been a very long time since I have felt so unimportant/ my money is not desired. It took over 20 minutes to be acknowledged sitting at the bar with only 4 other patrons. Next they are completely out of a common alcohol... Vodka? What the... Then I place my order for food (refer to pic for description on fish and chips) and sweet tea. So here we go! My tea arrives and it tastes skunked and like a dirty rag (see other posts on this dirty rag issue, they are correct). Now my food arrives! Hands down this is absolutely the worst fish and chips I have ever eaten. Chewy and just dripping with grease to the point the tasteless breading became a soggy pile in the bottom of my basket to go along with my soggy fries and slaw (not good either). Even the tarter was very close to mayo with parsley. Ok, maybe that is a little harsh on the tarter sauce but my whole experience here was horrible! We should have just drove to Meehans. They have the best fish and chips in the greater Atlanta area! As for Keegans... Keep treating your customers this way and you will eventually find that they all moved onto establishments that care about their customers! Definitely my last visit...

Yelp
Great food and close to home, I love how comfy it is in here! Staff is wonderful and prices are average!

Chad K.

Yelp
Was just there. The bar was a mess. The bartender was more interested talking to a bunch of men and not taking care of customers. I finally just left.

Yelp
Local and close to home. Open late during the week for a night cap. Great sandwich and grilled cheeses! I'm sipping on a Guinness and catching the game late. Recommended if in the area.

Yelp
Good food, good service, good value. The shepard's pie potato skins are unique and taste great. I've been many times with friends and no one has had a bad thing to say. Everything is pretty good and the service has always been quick. Its a great spot for a quick weeknight dinner. I have never been on a weekend. The Old Fashioned is listed as a house special and it is not to expensive (I think only $7 or $8).

Yelp
COVID REVIEW: got a Togo order. Didn't order ahead so it did take a little long and sat at the bar to wait. The woman behind the bar was super friendly! Didn't notice if tables were every other seating but it was packed for lunch. My order was perfect. Got the salad with pecans and blue cheese which was great and the fried pickles which coulda been a little more crispy. Will go back and would recommend.

Yelp
Go to spot for food and friends. Great menu lots of delicious choices. They have good space for meetings and love groups. I like the shepherds pie it's the best.

Yelp
Service: FANTASTIC. Whitney the bartender was literally an ANGEL. It was my first time and she recommended the spring rolls and they were DELISH. My boyfriend got the deluxe grilled cheese and it was truly a delicacy. I was spoiled with a chicken pot pie (that I did NOT share). The owner, Pete, came and bought us a round of drinks bc it was my half birthday (yes, it's a thing). Totally recommend this little pub. Super authentic, SCRUMPTIOUS, and cozy.

Yelp
The Holy Smokes burger rocks. I have now ordered it twice. Lots of beers on tap and friendly regulars at the bar. I enjoyed myself ;)
