This is a boutique horse racing track. It is absolutely beautiful, although the weather on Friday wasn't so pretty. Saturday was wonderful, though. It stays sold out, so you might have to get tickets from a 3rd party, but if you like horse racing, it is definitely a track to see. But be prepared. It is BUSY! You are going to wait for a cocktail and will be shoulder to shoulder while in line. The food is really good. It is a nice place to attend.

Visiting Keeneland was an amazing experience for me and my family. We got up bright and early (made it there by 7:45 am) and had the wonderful opportunity to watch the trainers run with the horses on the track. Afterwards we had breakfast on site at their kitchen/restaurant on the grounds which had affordable taste food. From our car we were also able to get a glimpse of the stables then go back towards their beautiful gift shop that had very friendly staff. We didn’t take a tour because we were pressed for time. The grounds were well maintained and beautiful. Very clean and easily accessible especially if you have children or are physically disabled. I really recommend that if you have time while in Lexington that this is definitely a place you must see.

Spectacular track! We were able to catch an early morning practice - which is free and open to the public. It was 29 degrees and sunny - which made for a magnificent experience. We parked and walked track side and wee so close we could see, hear and smell the entire experience. I definitely recommend calling ahead for hours and training location, this changes depending upon time of year. Of note is the Track Kitchen restaurant which has an amazing breakfast special and is worth checking out after you watch the horses run!!

This is an excellent place to visit. I've never visited a race, or any sport facility, that is this open and accessable. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Well worth the visit.

It was really fun to just park and watch the horses being exercised. I had no idea that anyone could go anytime. The grounds are beautiful and well shaded. Nice place to go for a walk-with or without a dog. There were no races scheduled when we visited.

Iconic racetrack known for quality horse racing. Great atmosphere, good food and overall fun experience. Had a person in our group in a wheelchair and they provided a free shuttle from the parking lot to the gate.

This was such an amazing experience and I didn't quite grasp how serious Kentuckians are with their horse racing. We were there at 11 am for the start and I bet there was already thousands of cars park all over the place. You can park in the reserve areas or do general public admission and park at the "Hill" or "Meadow" and catch the tram or a bus to the entrance. I was certainly not dressed for a horse race... lol So many suits and wild sports coats, most of the Ladies were wearing dresses and fancy hats. It was College Scholarship day so the place was packed with Teens and 20 somethings in super short dresses that didn't leave much to the imagination. I did get to be on "the rail" for the 1st race and energy in that place as the horses nearest the finish was amazing. Learning to bet is a big learning curve and lots of luck. My winnings were all luck and I left with more than what I bet. Now there are some doing all kinds of research and educated betting but they stood more to lose than I. If you are in Lexington in April or October and are free Tuesday thru Sunday you HAVE TO GO AND EXPERIENCE KENTUCKY HORSE RACING!!!

Great traditional horse racing track situated in beautiful Lexington Kentucky. Amazing grounds and pastures that seem to go on forever. Reasonably priced food and beverages.
