Unless you're looking for it, you probably end up at Kefa Coffee by taking a wrong turn trying to get to Alameda, but if you're looking for a great breakfast sandwich, it's worth a visit!
The "Brian" is what I've seen hyped and it's HUGE with bacon, egg, spinach, avocado and cheese (not my pic https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/kefa-coffee-oakland?select=oFL3F0iOWO0DS6KBObGFlg), but I went simplier with Spinach, Egg, & Cheese which is still a substantial sandwich (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/kefa-coffee-oakland?select=JOopO9RxoX5yQSoQO3LvHA).
I like the eggs are cooked to order here (not nuked) and then a handful of fresh spinach is folded in (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/kefa-coffee-oakland?select=xCRSP13SJ8Dq22pT4yOyoA&userid=DsHsuhUvyyW_75zFcJxkKw). The buttered english muffin adds some richness to it, though a little underseasoned overall (but that was easily remedied)
Too bad they don't do half breakfast sandwiches (like Autobahn Cafe by Jack London) as that would probably do it for me . . . but I liked it enough, I ate the whole thing anyway ;-)
As a bonus, while I ate my sandwich, I witnessed a real life Seinfeld moment as two people almost came to blows over a parking spot . . . do Millennials get this reference??
