Kefi - Review - Lisbon - The Infatuation

"This Greek bistro in Estrela, from the Pomme Eatery team, is perfect for a lunch filled with creamy tzatziki, large fresh salads, perfectly roasted pita, and natural wine. There’s a huge menu with plenty of classic hits that’ll take you more than a few visits to make your way through, though the most efficient way to try a few things at once is the create-a-combo section: two half orders of things like dolmades, spanakotiropita, moussaka, keftedes, and pastichio. Plan on making this a leisurely meal—afterwards, you can pay a visit to the Estrela Basilica." - Tiffany Yannetta

This was an amazing find just outside Estrella gardens. Food was fresh and tasty. The waitresses were very friendly and spoke perfect English. The decorations gave the vibe of Greece and it had the cleanest restrooms in a restaurant that I have seen. You should cover enjoy this gem. I only regret discovering it on our last day.

What a place! Ambience is super cute and curated, Alona and all the staff were incredible to us, Alona our wonderful waiter heard that it was our last day in Lisbon and decided to gift us the dessert we said we wanted to try! Food 10/10, try the calamari but you’re safe on anything

Very nice place! The food is great, super fresh and tasty. We ordered 5 dishes, 2 beers, tea and dessert and paid for everything 94€. For this quality and taste it’s worth it! The waiters were very polite and friendly, explained everything and suggested really great meals! Highly recommend, especially try octopus with potato, shrimps and orange cake! Ps. The beer is also great, has passion fruit flavor!

The reviews made us have high expectations, and the restaurant did not disappoint. It had a very peaceful vibe. The whole place was in Greek style, which made us experience the food differently. Even more like we were in Greece. The waiters were very nice and friendly. We could order quickly and our food came in just the right amount of time. We ordered a Freddo Cappuccino, which tasted very good (even though I normally don’t like coffee) and we had a pita to start with. It was the best pita we had ever tasted. As a main we ordered vega moussaka and grilled beef with fries and tzatziki. The moussaka had a very unique taste and the grilled beef was delicious with a sauce we can’t quite describe. The fries were served with herbs and tasted good. For dessert, we decided to order something we’d never heard of: portokalopita (a kind of orange pie). The texture was squishy, but it had a very good taste! The sour cream perfectly balanced with the sweet taste of the pie! Loved it, highly recommended!

The waitress bumped into our table and knocked over my friend's drink onto the food. We were not offered new food or even a new drink. We didn't even get a "sorry". When we asked the waiters to at least wipe it up, they replied rudely. We also waited for our friend, who arrived 10 minutes later. Within these 10 minutes, the waiter asked 3 times if he could take the free chair. We replied each time that she was still coming. We felt that it was very rude to be so insistent about removing the chair. All in all, the staff should be better trained in dealing with customers. One waiter also works at heim café, which has the same owner as kefi, and is just as moody there. Furthermore, the beef was inedible. Much too stringy and not tender at all. I felt like I was chewing on a piece of leather. It was a workout for the jaw.

This might just be one of the most stunning restaurants I visited in Lisbon. It feels like a slice of Greece with a sleek, modern, design-forward twist. The space is bright, airy, and gives off serious vacation vibes. We ordered the octopus, beef meatballs, fries, donuts, and kiwi cheesecake dessert, and honestly, everything was a perfect 10. If I could’ve eaten here every day of my trip, I would have. The standout dish was the beef meatballs—juicy, flavorful, and paired with a warm, earthy puree that was just divine. The octopus, served with a tangy fruit, was another exciting highlight. But the real showstopper was the cheesecake dessert, a deconstructed creation topped with a refreshing, shaved ice-like kiwi layer. It was bursting with bright, zesty flavors that lingered on my mind for a week. Fair warning: this spot gets packed at lunch, so reservations are a good idea. The staff was really accommodating and delightful even though we didn’t have a res—funny, attentive, and always checking in to make sure we were enjoying ourselves.

The food was amazing , the staff was like old friends that love you and the atmosphere was romantic and relaxing . I went back the next evening and ate all the dishes again. It was soooo delicious. I had the chicken kebabs , the pita with the yogurt sauce and a Greek salad with these items I was able to make my own gyro that was out of this world. Best food I had ever tasted and I will go back one day just for their food.

We had a pleasant meal here, although disappointed with the moussaka, it was missing flavour. I think it should've been baked, it didn't seem so although the waitress said it was. I would've loved some melted cheese on top. Presentation was pretty, flavour not so much. The cheese honey dish was delicious. It was quite pricey overall. It was nice but wouldn't go back because of that. Dishes were suitable for sharing and I think should've been less costly.

Yelp
The food was amazing! Chicken is grilled over charcoal. Drinks were perfect balance to the meal. Taziki sauce was so tasty as well. Definitely a gem! Make a reservation if you can. We happened to be able to sit at the bar given the time but the restaurant was busy because it's so good!

Yelp
It's a comfortable atmosphere, with a small neighborhood feel. For a small space it was really loud. The food had great flavor, I would suggest the beef moussaka. The servers made the experience very uncomfortable. First they made a joke ok my name as i entered ( i could let it o

Yelp
Favorite meal in Lisbon so far. We made a reservation ahead because it gets full and pretty busy. I got the broccoli hummus which was good but not my favorite hummus I've ever had. I like broccoli and hummus (a lot) separately but just didn't love the combo. Even though I think they did it pretty well. My meal was incredible - I ordered the Frango Souvlaki. The chicken was so tender on the skewers. The grilled avocado and sauce were very well done. And the greens were mindblowingly good. For the cost, I think this whole meal was phenomenal and I craved it again my entire trip. I'd highly recommend trying out Kefi. The service was exceptional, the vibe is perfect, and the food is incredible. Really glad we made it here.

Yelp
I cannot believe that no one has reviewed this Greek restaurant on Yelp or TripAdvisor. Perhaps because it is located in a less touristy part of the city? The food is fantastic and comparable to the Greek food we had in Athens and Santorini a few years ago. The calamari were cooked perfectly, and the chicken dish was very flavorful. We took a car for hire (Bolt) from our hotel in the tourist area to the neighborhood of the restaurant for a very reasonable price.

Yelp
Food is excellent. We had the Greek salad I wife can't stop talking about it. I had to calamari was fantastic best of had in Europe and now we're just waiting for the chicken souvlaki I'm sure will be fantastic. Place is busy services great and atmosphere is fantastic.
