Keg South Of Kendall

I have been coming to this local hidden spot for years. It is definitely a dive bar with a dive bar atmosphere, and that is what makes this place pretty cool, The owner Joe and Brigette and staff are the best. This is a place that is easy to get to know people by their names. They have a relaxing atmosphere. There is not much to the inside, when you walk in it is low lighting with many comfortable booths, and a sit down bar. They have pool tables, jukebox, and plenty of TVs to watch Sports or anything that you want to ask the waiter or waitress to put on. It has never been loud inside so it is always easy to enjoy conversations. Often I get Kerry or Amy as my waitress. Both are friendly and incredibly waitresses, and through the years I feel like they have become friends. They have a large menu selection and their food is good and tastes fresh, and my favorite thing to order is their Keg burger. You will not be disappointed. Their beers are always served cold with an ice cold mug or glass, and their prices are very reasonable. There is plenty of parking and this place can get crowded so I always try to plan when I come. Thank you Keg South for this hidden gem that you have kept the same way for many years. I always look forward to my next visit.

This sports grill bar is definitely made for rock music lovers. The menu varies from burgers and wings to tequeños and queso frito. Yes, it is greasy food... but delicious greasy food. I have to say that their wings are top 3 in Miami for me. My only complaint is that sometimes the waitresses can get lost for a while. I will definitely come back here again. A little pricey, especially if you add appetizers to your meal. But it's definitely worth it. What a gem in Kendall!

My husband and I have been a customers of The Keg for about 20 years. I always ordered one of their signature entrees “keg bites”. In the late 90’s , early 2000’s you would get a basket of keg bites and a basket of fries for less than $20. Throughout the years, the plates got smaller and smaller but the quality remained the same. We went a couple of weeks ago, ordered my usual, the plate was surprisingly a lot smaller and the quality of the food had changed. I assumed maybe it was an off night or a new cook. We decided to try it again today(my husband loves their burgers and wings) I ordered the same meal. When I received my order, my plate had 6 keg bites and not even a hand full of fries. On top of the portion size being extremely small, the meat was raw. My husband sent the plate back. I received a new plate, with 6 new keg bites now over cooked. I chose not to eat the food or complain anymore about the plate and ask for the check. The worst part about my visit today, was the convenience fee they charged for using a credit card. The picture below is a picture of my plate, untouched. Don’t think 6 pieces of steak and a single potato of fries is worth $18

We were visiting from Vero Beach and found a homey-local restaurant and decided to stop in for dinner. Such a fun environment, yummy menu variety, and amazing service. I do not remember our servers name but she was super sweet and took the mozzarella sticks off our check since we had to wait! We did not ask for compensation, as we loved our meal and server but she went above and beyond to make our visit special! I’ll definitely return next time I am in the area

I use to come here so frequently back in 2013/2014 and I haven’t been since. I was so excited to go back today and wow what a disappointment. Terrible service and terrible food. I was served cold stale fries that were clearly sitting around forever before they sent them to our table. Our wings were terrible, they seemed like old wings sitting around as well. Why was half our order of wings (we ordered a 20 piece) burnt black and charred to a crisp yet the other half under cooked? Ordered an appetizer they didn’t even bring. Not once was offered any refills on drinks. Never got a chance to ask for extra ranch. Just terrible.

This place with their burgers are my addiction I swear. I had to lay off on it with how much money I spent at times but to me this burger place costs less than the Five Guys and has far better fries. If you're interested there's one in homestead that basically gives crispy and crinkle cut fries too!

Service is not good- simple as that, get good staff that’s happy to be there. I didn’t order food because I got put off—-ordered one drink and left. No thanks until u have no waitress. Would be a cool local spot- but they ruin it.

This place is just alright. I think k would ever only again as a last resort. Bathrooms were disgusting. Service was ok. I didn't get the opportunity to eat because I missed last call. They allowed us to order drinks only to kick us out shortly after because they were closing. So to be fair i didn't get to try much... but first impressions are lasting ones and this was not a good first impression.

I went Sunday with a friend that I had not seen in a while, since it's pretty close to my house and always a good time! We had a couple of Corona's each and ordered the jalapeno poppers and southwestern egg rolls appetizers to share. The service was perfect! The food was prompt and delicious. Surprising since it was pretty busy and I thought for sure it would be a wait. The crowd was a mixture of families and what looked like groups of friends. Everybody enjoying the day. Think I might be going every Sunday afternoon since it was such a pleasant experience!

One of the best hidden gems in Miami that never seems to disappoint. The burger is definitely the best in town and the wings, grouper fingers and big variety of ice cold beer are always a hit. The service is top notch and the ambience is very homey. Always good to catch football game, play a round of pool or even bringing the kids for a great time. This place accommodates every kind of customer and the owner and staff are the nicest! P.s. k9 friendly! Big plus!

Mostly unchanged in the decades of it's existence, frozen in time, still serving up simple but damn good burgers and well cooked, albeit greasy, fries. However I cannot attest to how good the other menu items are, I pretty much have only had the Keg Burger in the thirty plus years of coming here. It's always a trip back in time as soon as I open the door and step in and hopefully it will stay that way.

This is a long-standing community staple. It's been here for ages and is basically able to stay open on its long-running reputation. It's an older bar and it shows. Bikers still hang here, it's a bit dirty in a nostalgic way, and the service isn't the best. Our waitress was friendly but easily distracted. She took my credit card, put it in her waistband and then never came back. I had to flag her down over the next 20 minutes and she still hadn't charged it. The food and drink is truly nothing to brag about. That being said, if you're craving a night out with the boys, this could definitely be the spot. It deserves the 3 stars it has, and falls into that weird bar category where to some it's a "5" and to others it's a "1." Sometimes you crave that grimy little dive bar.

The one on us-1 DISAPOINTTING. I've never been to a restaurant where I have to sit myself.. get a menu myself... get up to walk to the bar to order myself.. go pick up the food at the bar when it's ready myself... get charged for things I never got ( and couldn't ask anyone for) and then get stared down for not giving a 20% tip. Food was meh. Asked for flats... ignored. Trash place honestly... One by Tamiai a world better. Bartender should chill on his tude and realize he works for tips... not the other way around.

Beer & pool tables! The churrasco is one of the best items on the menu, as well as the burgers! The service is spectacular, I love all the Keg South girls

First time back after 10 years. Back then it was bustling around lunch time. Today, I was surprised with the near empty dining hall. Now I understand why. Although they have flavorful offerings and decent service, they nickel and dime you for everything! There is an extra fee if you pay with credit card vs. cash. There is a charge if you want your food to go. I don't think I want to go back.

This is an excellent BAR the beer pitchers flow easily the fries are a meal but the wings are the BEST perfectly seasoned and grilled and in a timely manner! It's not a large place but accommodates many. Food is always hot and the bar tender takes care of you.

Service was ok..nothing to brag about..they were nonchalant and seemed like you didn't matter when I called to let them know that the wings we picked up were raw in the middle. We were pretty far and unfortunately I was not going to drive all the way back to replace them. There was no empathy or apology at all. I would like to think it it was an off day but we won't find out. It was a nauseating experience after started to eat their famous wings.

This place reminds me a lot of bird bowl; it's one of those places that looks run down but it's cheap and good. My coworkers and I visited for dinner on a Monday night and my bacon cheeseburger was delicious. The fries were also very good albeit drenched in oil, I wish they had drained them more. They have two pool tables and plenty of beer, so come on over.

One of my fave local spots - super low key, but great food. LOVE and I can't express how much but LOVE the conch fritters. Great steak tips too. Two pool tables, sit at bar and decent seating, not a huge spot so game nights can be busy but I think worth it. Decent service , never had a complaint

Best burger on the planet. Dolphin fingers are also killer. Service is awesome gem of a place, never lets us down.

No liquor license so only beer and refreshments. Refreshments. Decent wings, good burgers other items in the menu are pretty decent. Quite small on the inside has some pool tables to be exact and some arcade games. Very family friendly environment and Great local bar vibe. Reminds me of an environment kind of like Cheers. The Kendall locals that like a smaller more intimate setting come here.

Getting car washed across the street and stopped by for a cold beer. Place was pretty busy, beer was cold and fish spread is pretty darn good.

Perfect little dive bar that the locals love! I am a local and this is my favorite bar to come and just chill, watch a game, and start a conversation with strangers. It may look intimidating upon entry but it's a great place to drink a good cold beer, great fresh food, with nice friendly service. On their menu I enjoy their burgers, wings, and fries! Don't miss out!

Love this place. Hole in the wall pub, excellent wings they make one way (the right way). Good beer selection (Heineken on tap). The burgers are a sloppy mess, which is exactly the way burgers should be eaten. Love this place and the guys the work there are great as well. Real local spot.

This local bar was good for a quick bite and a drink . We had nachos and burgers . The food was average however the service was excellent and the atmosphere was fun

THE spot for a perfectly greasy burger and an ice cold drink to chase it! The Keg is well loved for its super casual vibe, and fun atmosphere. Most weeks they have cool, little events within the bar, where different brands sample alcoholic beverages to customers! Along with the many, many choices of drinks ( Domestic / imported Beers, IPA's , Hard Seltzer etc. etc.) they also feature some pretty terrific bar food. I ordered their famous burger( to-go ) tonight because I was in a hurry... but let me tell you, any bar that is crazy packed and can serve an ACTUAL medium RARE burger loaded with flavor and oozing with cheesy goodness - well that gets a gold star in my book! Definitely check it out!

I used to come here all the time and the other location they have, but my views with this place has changed. They used to have amazing wings for a great price but for 20 wings they have it at market price which the price today was around 30 something. Never have I had to complain about the wings here or stop eating it. It was honestly a waste of 30 something dollars spent today. The wings didn't taste special grilled, and each wing had 90% fat and the other 10% was meat. When I told the waitress that I need to order something else because of how much fat there was, she replied "you should've gotten them well done because they're Tyson wings". If it was cooked more it would've been burnt with a lot of fat in it, and 30 something dollars for Tyson wings.. not only should I have gotten them like that, if you knew the wings are like that you could ask if I like them well done because they have a lot of fat in them. There was so much fat that even well done it will be still chewy and full of it. I give the place two stars because the burger was good. But service was shitty to be honest, she couldn't even offer an alternative after complaint about wings but state brand of wings (then don't buy those wings). Beer was hot from being draft beer, and they charge a convenience fee of $3.

This place has been around forever, and going here on my birthday I could clearly see why it's a local institution. Forget about other local sports bars (Duffy's, Flanigan's, Sports Grill, Hole in the Wall) that have raised prices but lowered food standards and size. This is the place to go in Kendall bar none. The server was a very nice young lady who is working through her pregnancy (so please tip her well), but is so nice, quick, and accommodating that you'll definitely want to return. Turns out I asked for my 3/4 lb. Keg burger well done but took a bite and realized it was bloody so they heeded my request and made me a whole new burger and fries. That's what proper customer service is all about. They were quite apologetic and cool about it, plus they have a great jukebox selection, not just top 40 trash you hear everywhere in the 305. I even heard Dropkick Murphy's and Chilean classics Los Prisioneros. I'm definitely returning to this West Kendall gem.

Bad food. I'm used to going to the pinecrest location and have never been let down there. The wings where small, burnt and bad. The fries where also very greasy.

Divey hidden gem! This place has all the qualities of a good night. Cheap cold beer, dark atmosphere, TWO pool tables ($1 per game) and a friendly staff. First time here and I truly enjoyed it. The bartenders was super nice and friendly , the beer was cold and delicious, and they had La Rubia on tap which is like 100 bonus points in my mind. Even got to play a few rounds of pool and the food smelled good - will be having a bite next time. Good place to hang out.

This place is such a hidden gem! If your looking for great musics, appetizers and beers! You have found the perfect place! I loved the fries! Super crunchy and fresh! I also love how quick the service is. The Keg bites were super tender with an amazing char on the outside! So juicy! I will definitely be back for another pitcher of beer and the fries! It is super casual and chill!

One of Miami's original burger joints! They have been doing burgers right since day one. This place hasn't change much over the years. This is the Kendall location on the Original Keg South. Located across from Miami Executive Airport (Tamiami). Great place to grab a beer, burger watch some sports. The Burgers come in 3 different sizes, 1/3, 1/2, and 3/4 pound. I highly recommend the 1/2, just the right amount of burger especially if you like your burgers medium to medium rare. You have the choice between chips, fries, onion rings, and coleslaw. I've always gotten the chips. Just seams to be the thing to do at the Keg. The wings here are really good, thought it very rare that I don't order a burger here. Place has pool tables and a few arcade games.

Ordered curbside and when I got home, all 4 of my burgers were completely raw on the inside. I ordered them medium well and got RAW. We had to end up cooking them ourselves so we wouldnt get sick. Disgusting!!

Came here on a Groupon. First time was during an off lunch period. Server was inattentive and service was slow. The interior with the extra light of day was not flattering. The second time we came in around six pm. Sat at bar, had a drink and ordered take out. Service at bar was definitely better. The other people at the bar, who appeared to be regulars were friendly. There was a wide mix of ages, races, and gender. The noise level was not over powering, you could carry on a conversation. Of note, had the special grilled chicken wings. These were the best chicken wings I have ever consumed. The special seasoning was point on, the wings plump with meat, and it fell off the bone with only a firm squeak of the lip over the bone. I would rate my day visit as 2 1/2 stars, my evening visit 5 stars. Final verdict 4 stars...

This place feels like you've walked into a dive bar somewhere up north. I absolutely love this place because you'd look at it and never guess the food is life changing. When you look at the outside it just seems like a cool pool hall bar- which a section of it is. But once you walk in and sit, you're greeted by some of the nicest waitresses in South Florida and everything on the menu is good regardless of what you choose. You won't regret hanging out here any given night whether it's just a beer with friends or a full dinner!

Probably the best atmosphere of any sports bar I've been to. This is a tiny little dive has plenty of mounted televisions inside and two outside (with speakers). The staff is friendly, the patrons are family. I'm not kidding, this place and these regulars have been around Kendall before Miami was even incorporated! Couldn't ask for a better combination for a sports bar. A word of caution: as a proud member of the #BillsMafia I showed up to watch Buffalo destroy the San Francisco 49ers and got my fair share of heckling. I can't wait to see what's going to happen when Buffalo hosts the Miami Dolphins in a few weeks! It's all good fun, here. Highly recommend!!

Good Turkey burger. Great service. Went after not a good experience at The Floridita close by. I do recommend The Keg of South Kendall.

I've been coming here for years and would live at this place, way before I was even a yelper. They HAD the coldest beer in Miami by far. Well, times have changed, came today for the first time in about 3 years. The beer was disappointing, it was cold, but not by much. They changed to plan glass mug if that's what's its called, instead of Glass handle MUG. I remember the beer would come out ICE cold and the MUG had ice on it like a mountain with a snow cap. The service was ok, maybe they were just having a bad day, shit happens. Will I come back YES, but please read your YELP reviews and bring back your cold handlers MUGS.

I've been coming to Keg South for years, mostly for their happy hour and burgers. Well, although the menu says that they have happy hour Monday through Saturday, Sunday.....they are not honoring it!?!?! Also, ordered 3 burgers, 1 medium, the other one well. Both burgers were raw, and extremely bloody, and didn't have time to send it back. Ordered onion rings instead of chips, there were only like 6, they were extremely oily and over cooked, almost burned. Last straw was their convenience charge of 1.80 because I paid with my credit card. They don't lose a penny, and the quality of their food should match their prices and charges. Will think about it twice before going back. Total disappointment!

My favorite Burger Joint ! You can customize it the way you want. Who could it tell that the steaks are going to be great. The Porterhouse was amazing. And my daughter got to eat a dolphin sandwich that was superb. We recommend this place. Great sports bar and service was very good as well! I know of few people that comes as far of north BROWARD to eat chicken wings, claiming that are the best in the south.

We stopped by here this late afternoon and it was sort of like entering a time warp. But a good one. It's comforting to see some places that are just like you remember them. To walk in and see the old familiar pool tables jukeboxes and music with people Having a good time game me a nice feeling. The food was great and our server Isabella was right on point. The prices were more than fair and we had a good time. We will try to visit more often.The GF had a burger and I had the fish and chips basket.The fries were very good as well. All in all we really enjoyed it.

My local dive bar. Great food, very friendly staff, good atmosphere and funny patrons. Beers are cheap and they even have pool tables. Shut out to the bartenders they take care of the customers well..
