Yelp
This isn't a place you come to on a first date, it isn't a place where I would bring my kid, and it's not a "first choice" destination. What it is, however, is a simple, relatively clean locals bar with friendly service and decent food.
My flight arrived about 3 hours before my colleague's, so with time to kill, I took to Yelp to guide me somewhere closeby where I can kill time as opposed to sitting in Boston Logan.
In an area surrounded by ethnic restaurants and bars, on an unassuming corner, sits KSP. The bar area, albeit somewhat small and cramped, is fully stocked and surprisingly comfortable. I initially grabbed a high-top in the bar area, but moved to the bar as soon as I noticed a seat open up. I was greeted immediately by the bartender with a glass of ice water and a menu. After perusing and knowing I didn't want to eat a lot (we were going to J P's in Westborough for their lobster rolls on our way to Worcester), I knew I definitely didn't want anything fried. Although it wasn't cheat day, the calzone caught my eye. I went for the spinach, add chicken. The bartender asked if I wanted "gahlic" too, and being a sucker for the Boston accent AND anything garlic, I gave an affirmative headshake.
It only took about 15 minutes before a MASSIVE calzone was placed in front of me, cut into 4 huge pieces, on a pizza tray. After giving it a couple minutes to cool, I dug into my first piece. It was your basic calzone, full of fresh sauteed spinach, garlic, and chunks of grilled chicken. I could only muster one piece before asking for a doggie bag.
If I had to kill time near the airport in the future, I don't know if I would necessarily seek this place out. It was good, but nothing memorable.
