The staff is friendly. The service so good . The ice cream is delicious. The price is good for serving size and quality. I got the vanilla ice crean with black jimmies and it’s really good .

ive been coming here since childhood and it always hits the spot. my usual order is a strawberry flavor burst with chocolate jimmies in a cake cone, but their banana buckets are awesome and worth ordering. just had the strawberry shortcake for the first time and it was great. the biscuits!

Best place on the beach to get ice cream by far. The soft serve is so silky, and they have great flavor bursts. The Dole whips are also delicious, and the sundaes are amazing. They do ice cream right. There’s even a small parking lot with a 15-minute limit if you don’t feel like parking along the road. Sometimes the lines are long, but they move fast. The prices are pretty average. Only complaint is that the machines are sometimes broken or something is out of stock, so you can’t get exactly what you want.

Got 3 ice creams and a shake - it came out to $27. The ice reams were pretty good, basically what you expect from soft serve. The shake was thick and creamy. It was supposed to be coffee flavor, but there was almost zero flavor. Occasionally I would hit a pocket of flavor. Not great for a $6 shake. You can get flavor added to your soft serve which is basically a drizzle that they add. My daughter got hers with cotton candy and she said it was good.

KELL’S KREME new delight is apple crisp beautifully made and served warm covered with the ice cream of your choice with swirls of whipped cream and drizzled with caramel! It’s called THE APPLE CRISP SUNDAE…and you’re gonna love it! Great team, working hard together getting all orders out quickly in the summer heat! ☀️

A lot of good memories are associated with Kell's Creme. For starters, my family would go here on the first day of our yearly Boston trip for our dessert after having some delicious food from Kelly's Roast Beef. Additionally, we would go to the Swampscott location on random summer nights just to have a taste of that homemade vibe; the ice cream was always good and plentiful. Unfortunately, the Lynn location closed down, however I am quite glad that the others have not done so.

The Sunday late afternoon/night staff is definitely not anywhere near as great as the rest of the week. This is the 3rd Sunday in a row I stopped by Kelly’s Kream and within the one minute it took from getting my ice cream at the window and walk directly across the street my ice cream was a melted mess. It’s not even hot out either for it to be this way. They said all they had available to was chocolate and vanilla soft serve, nothing else. Yet two of the four vanilla ice creams I got had red and green streaks through them as if they added flavoring. The jimmies by the time I walked across the street also were about 95% off the ice cream and in a puddle in the box. The girls were not polite as the other girls who usually are there. I’ve been coming to Kells since I was a kid and this is not what us long time residents remember of this place. Like everything else in the area it has gone downhill and to the yuppies. They think this place is great. Too bad they didn’t know how it used to be at its peak.

No option but soft serve and girls working we're cleaning up early and didn't want to dirty anything so that's why I'm giving 2 stars. And if we try again just maybe I'll re rate and give more than 2 stars.

Ive been all around the world and how in the world did I miss this "World Famous" ice cream place on the beach in Boston? Started chatting with a nice lady that seamed to eat ice cream here and told me to get the strawberry short cake... I did and this $7.00 bowl was more than 2 could finish. A large short bread topped with strawberries, ice cream and whip cream. Took this over to the beach wall and worked it for about 20 minutes.

I love Kell's Kreme. If you are a soft serve fan, this is a great place to get some. It's a walk-up window only, which is perfect because you can take your cone across the street to the beach. Portions are huge and prices are low. They have plenty of swirl flavors, which I love. My standard is a vanilla cone with butterscotch swirl and crunch coat. The soft serve is rich and creamy. Kell's Kreme is a North Shore favorite and I always look forward to returning.

The staff is friendly. The ambiance is friendly and welcoming . The ice cream is really good . I got the vanilla with jimmies . It's all soft serve . The price is reasonable for portion size and quality

Service was pleasant but the ice cream immediately started melting all over the place - in the AC! I went through a dozen napkins and am a sticky disgusting mess. Won't go here again.

This place is soo mid and overhyped (they claim to be world famous??) During peak summer days, this place has a decently large line but it's really not worth the wait at all. It might cater better to those who are at this side of Revere Beach but please, if you can, make the trek down to the beginning of the beach and go to Twist & Shake. The prices here are high for what you're getting. We spent almost $40 for 2 cones and a very miiiiiddd banana split. There's absolutely no friendliness in the "service" here too. The soft serve melts within 15 seconds of it coming out of the machine (we didn't have one hot day this summer so it's not the temperature outside) and the taste is lacking. I'm going to say it here but McD's soft serve really would give this place a run for its money if they opened right next door. Skip, next!

I went there last night (Friday night) to order 2 hot fudge sundaes at 8:39PM. when I placed my order the girl that was working said; I can't make any sundaes because we are closing at 9:00. I looked at my phone and said; ok, but it's 8:39, so aren't you open for 21 more mins?? Btw, there were also other people in line that wanted sundaes. She said sorry, I can't do it, I can do regular ice cream. When a business is open they need to serve their FULL menu until they close. I should have been able to order a sundae at 8:58 if they are open until 9:00. Looks like they hired a couple of lazy kids who couldn't be bothered doing their job. If the owners see this, I it was a Fri night on 9/7 and it was the girl with the dark hair. Anyway I walked away and didn't buy anything.. I won't be back.

A nother revere beach favorite. Great ice cream. Large portions of ice cream. Get a ice cream go across the street and sit on the wall over looking the oldest certified beach in the USA.

The ginger charged me $8 for a kiddie cone even though he gave a large waffle cone to all 5 of my friends for the same exact price

DELICIOUS soft served ice cream right next to the ocean. Not only that, but this spot gives you a generous amount of ice cream. You can get a variety of "flavor bursts" to make your vanilla soft served ice cream extra tasty. I tried the cool mint and cheesecake "flavor bursts" and they tasted just like their name. The staff members are nice and quick to serve.

This place gets points mainly for a nostalgia reasons. They have lots of soft serve options, but the prices are definitely touristy beach, outrageous prices. I mean $6 for a soft-serve cone which probably cost them at most $0.80 to make is exorbitant. I decided to get a Sunday which basically was just the soft serve with whipped cream and hot fudge and it was over $8. It wasn't small so I can't complain about the portion but I wish they offered like a small and a large because I would love to have paid less and gotten less. That said, it tasted exactly like it did 25-30 years ago. So it brought back memories, attracted some yellow jackets and a few seagulls. Yay! Yay! Revere!

There is no better place to get a soft serve ice cream - this is the best, creamiest, most delicious soft serve around! And if you order a small, be prepared for a huge amount.

It was only 9:00pm when we stopped by on Sunday night. There were three workers inside and Yelp stated they were open until 11:00pm. They signalled that they were closed. I guess I will have to wait until my next visit to get my fix of Dole Whip. The two other ice cream shops on Rebere beach were closed as well so we ended up at a 7-11. I was rather happy to find Friendly's black Raspberry and some really good Italian ice. Kell's is located just doors down from Kelly's which always is open when they are supposed to be. I'm surprised they don't offer ice cream.

They switched over to regular chocolate sprinkles. The old ones were the only reason I used to go out of my way to go there on a regular basis. I'm so sad.

Before catching a flight back home to the west coast, we asked our local friend what should be our last meal in Boston. She replied with specific instruction, "Go to Kelly's and get Roast Beef & Clam plate, & sit and eat it on the wall in Revere". We inhaled it and guess what we got for our first dessert ? ... Another Roast Beef !! We walked down to the bathroom & the corner of our eye spotted this soft serve. Soooo worth the little trip. We indulged in a Banana Basket Sundae. The youths working there are so nice. The texture is rich & the servings are Mass massive. Definitely the great follow up from our overload from Kelly's. Kelly's plus Kells equates to a satisfied New England experience. We are ready for Logan now.

I've read reviews from those of you who think $5 for a homemade ice cream is pricey. I personally don't mind paying for decadent ice cream. That being said, today we stopped at Kell's Kreme in Revere. Prices were not clearly listed, but we ordered 3 smalls (their sizes are kiddie, small and large, so technically it was their medium) $6 each (so $18 for 3) soft serve vanilla ice cream with a flavor swirl not even swirled in well, in a cake cone! I'd hate to know how much the Strawberry Shortcake costs now. Service was pretty lackluster too. I sadly miss Banana Boat. This was such a rip off, yet crowded because it's a tourist trap.. We will save our cash and calories for the good stuff.

Tons of flavors. Not only for ice cream but for richies slush as well. If you're a New Englander you know thats the jam. They have tons of flavors for that as well including cry baby. Yes, i said it Cry Baby flavored richies slush. The small is a great portion size. Actually all the ice cream they serve is decently sized. And if you're not from here and you're wondering what richies slush is. Let me give you the best advice for your taste buds. Find a distributor and get you some. You can love and thank me later.

Soft serve was ok but the service here was terrible. We came around 9pm and the young girl who served us was just plain rude. As she took our orders she leaned against the counter looking very unamused and all around like she didn't want to be there. Didn't smile at us once. She gave us ton of attitude as we ordered too. We left with a very unpleasant and uncomfortable visit!

I mean I was here plenty of times in the summer, it counts. I always stuck to small cones with the additional flavors. All of them are my favorite LOL. I enjoy every single one, but I get the peanut coating on it too! Even the small cones are filling enough for me. Whoo! Can't go wrong with this place, especially if they take credit cards and come with no limit. The only downside is they don't make any sizes smaller than small, there are no kiddy sizes unfortunately. The pineapple dole whip is something else. Supposed Disney creation coming to a place like Revere Beach wow very nice and very pineapple.

This place deserves 5 stars for one reason: they serve honest to goodness Dole Whip. It may not be called that on the menu (they call it Dole Soft Serve) but it's the real deal. I spotted a faded dole poster in the window while driving by and insisted we go back to investigate, as I had only ever seen Dole Whip sold in Disney World and the Dole plantation in Hawaii. If you haven't ever tried it, it's a non dairy, low cal frozen desert that makes dreams come true. Kel's Kreme is a true unicorn in Boston for serving this secret treat.

Be warned: any thing you get you should be prepared to share. SO BIG. I got the cookie dough sunday which was great because of the warm cookie dough mmmmmmmm Couldn't eat it fast enough I wish I could have seen the sign better or understood the pricing better without having to go though my coin purse. I occasionally wonder about that person who can leap into their pants with both legs at once, but my point here is that we are a lot alike. So trust me when I say that this experience is a real option at Kells Kreme, and you should just let it happen. So you are at the beach, enjoying the sun, sand, and surf. As you stroll down the edge of the Atlantic ocean you see a sign for an soft serve stand, and think that a cold treat sounds nice. As you approach your bill paying, business reviewing, adult self is confronted with your finger licking, soft serve loving, child self in internal dialogue form. "Wait, why are we doing this? We have food at home." "But it's right there! I wanted ice cream!" "A large is nearly $5! You can get two quarts at the supermarket for that much." "I WANT IT! I WANT IT! IWANTITIWANTITIWANTIT!" "OK fine, whatever it takes to get some quiet around here. You better enjoy it, and you better not make a mess." The teenagers at the counter try not to judge your talking to your self as you approach. In true soft serve fashion, you can get chocolate, vanilla, or a blend of the two. If you get vanilla, you can also FLAVOR BURST it with colorful options like cotton candy, strawberry, and others. It all sounds so tempting, but the FLAVOR BURST is more like food coloring, and FLAVOR EMPTY PROMISES, but their toppings are great. The gummy bears will not stick, so I got mine in a separate cup, and was off to the races. The bill paying adult takes a break as soon as the debit card returns to your wallet, and the inner child takes control as soon as that cone hits your hand. Predictably he never remembers to get napkins, so of course it makes a huge mess as you (both?) sit on the nearby retaining wall, and enjoy your treat. You are in too deep though, so your hands are a sticky, chocoatey mess when you finish, and the adult takes over again. The kid is not completely gone, so feel no shame in calmly walking to the ocean, and rinsing your hands in the waves before carrying on with those pants, bills, and online reviews that never seem to go away.

The soft serve here is pretty good, but it's staffed by people that are rude and pretty incompetent. I asked the girl at the counter if Dole Whip (which is what they serve) was the same thing as soft serve... she said she didn't know. I asked about the sizes, and how big they were and she just repeated the sizes over and over again with a sneer. I could see the sizes listed, I wanted to know how big they were...The servers are useless when it comes to helping you and have the AUDACITY to be rude about answering questions. How can you treat someone so rudely for asking a 'stupid' question when you can't even realize you're the one that's not comprehending the question. And, to top it off, they overcharged me and when I asked for it to be fixed they sort of just shrugged it off and told me to wait and then took more customers. It wasn't a huge amount of money, so I ended up just leaving. If you want something cold and sweet while your on the beach, get a milkshake from Kelly's or a little further down there's Bianchi's, both places have far better service and equally good products.

Good whipped cream! It's just right. After a day on the beach this is just the spot to get something cool and refreshing. The staff is nice and the prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes you get. I recommend splitting a sundae.

My girlfriend lives walking distance from Kell's, so we go for a stroll to get some delicious soft serve when it's nice out. I LOVE soft serve. I love Wendy's Frosties and McDonalds Milkshakes. I do not like hard Ben & Jerry's. Just some life advice, but if it's 100 degrees and you get a cone, it will melt down your hand. Kell's cannot change the weather, but you can ask for a cup to eat your ice cream soup out of. It's hard to give them a bad review since your interactions will be extremely brief. You pick your size (kiddie, small, or large), flavor (vanilla, chocolate, or swirl), and then your toppings (I don't get anything but jimmies). You pay (cash or credit), and you're off. It's not an overly complicated transaction. The small size (technically a medium) is enough for 2 normal size people to share. Kiddie size is perfect for 1. The lines can get insane, especially on a nice night, but they move fast. Don't forget your Lactaid pills.

Sure, it's just basic soft serve, but who doesn't love a soft serve on the beach? In my humble opinion, they have the best jimmies (what the non-Massholes errantly call 'sprinkles') in the free world. They taste like actual chocolate as opposed to brown-tinted Crisco. The brownie sundae is ginormous by the way, ergo, I recommend it highly. Too much of a good thing really is wonderful, even if I'm in danger of having Greenpeace come and roll me back into the ocean.

This place is convenient for anyone enjoying the beach. I ordered the cookie dough sundae, the cookie dough was delicious, nice and warm and a good portion (I saved half for the next day).The ice cream itself was well....soft serve so not as good as expected. But the cookie dough is good enough to make me try it again.

I love ice cream... so of course, I loved Kell's Kreme. Definitely old school soft serve: vanilla, chocolate, or swirl... which keeps the decisions simple... but you can get creative and choose cup or cone and most of the traditional toppings. They also offer an amazing looking banana bucket (banana split)... and when I was there they had a cookie dough sundae = amazing! First of all, it was huge... and then it was basically ice cream topped with a warm cookie dough topping that was delicious. This "old school" ice cream shoppe really adds to the small town feel of Revere Beach. It is "world famous" (may be self-proclaimed) so you definitely have to try it!

Ok, I have been coming here since I was a child... I mean - literally a baby! My mom loves Kell's (which was previously Kelly's Kreme and once associated with Kelly's Roast Beef)- and I wouldn't be surprised if this was the sole milk source she gave me growing up... (JK). There is nothing ordinary about this soft serve ice cream... it actually tastes like cold, sweet, cream and not some processed junk with lots of fillers... As it melts in my mouth, my tongue dances and waters for more... (in fact it's watering right now... lol) This is the real deal. If you like Hot fudge... GO FOR IT! Their Hot Fudge is rich, thick and nutty flavored!!! Not like the syrup used at other places... though they do have syrup, so make sure you specify what you want so you get the right yummy-liciousness! I only get the ice cream and the hot fudge, yet they charge me for the full sundae... and I am totally okay with that... simply because, when I want it, I want it... and I love them too much to boycott. I am not a fan of their whipped cream, it is a little flat for my taste and texture palate. But did I mention how awesome the Hot Fudge is? Yes?... okay.... They also have those flavored dips, that harden over the ice cream... they have chocolate, butterscotch and raspberry I think. I haven't had that since I was a kid, but I remember it being pretty good back then... They also have a pretty serious banana boat and brownie sundae... but... these have just been a visual pleaser as I have actually not tasted either of those... But... Soft Serve and HOT Fudge is the way to go over there...!!! Go get one before the summer is over!!! Enjoy!!!

BEST place for some real Richie's Italian Slush! They also have a decent amount of flavors to choose from. Every time I'm craving some Slush I always make sure I come here for it.

This place is amazing. Their soft serve is not a Typical soft serve. It's different, and full of richness. I tried their sundae butterscotch, and I was in a world of delightfulness. I wanted to get another one right after I finished the first, but something came up so I couldn't. I am definitely looking forward for another one. I Also want to add that the staff here are very friendly and I could see how patient they were. I care about quality but when the staff is nice that just adds more to the flavor. Great job!

great service! employees are very helpful when trying to get an understanding of what they have to offer. it's understandable when the line is down the street and they're a little tired on a busy nights. they do their hardest to keep their customers happy! size portions are very generous. and don't get me started on their real chocolate jimmies!!! their dole whip is phenomenal and they offer many flavors. one of my family members has a peanut allergy and they went above and behind to provide safe service by opening a brand new box of sprinkles for their ice cream. love love love this place and all the hard workers in it!

So I take my aunt there for a hot fudge sundae at 10:30pm; they don't close until 11pm. They weren't able to do anything but soft serve cones because they machines were being cleaned for the night. Seriously? If a place is opened until 11pm, then they shouldn't already be cleaning the machines 30 minutes early. There were still plenty of people in line to get ice cream....it is summer after all! Huge disappointment, and I'm more than happy to drive to someplace else.

What no line outside? I can see why. Before this,​ there​ was no such thing as bad soft serve, just good, better and​ best. This is a new low.

In my opinion this is the best soft serve ice cream joint on Revere Beach (and there are quite a few). Very basic, old school soft serve. They have a variety of typical sundaes, a bunch of flavors you can mix in, and the option of the type of fudge or butterscotch that hardens on top of the ice cream. On a side note, the portions here are huge.

They have this new sundae flavor, the cookie dough sundae, it's is AMAZING. They give you actual warm cookie dough! Definitely worth getting for $6

With a chaotic line in front of the servers window, giant proportions, and soft serve with a good consistency, this place definitely does the beach front soft serve thing well.

Kell's Kreme has fantastic old-school soft serve. There are no surprises here, really, just some good old-fashioned swirly cones. Well, they do have some dips (chocolate, cherry, butterscotch) and toppings (sprinkles, nuts) for those cones, and they do have a gigantic banana split and brownie sundae. They recently got the flavor burst thing that transforms plain old vanilla or chocolate soft serve into something slightly more interesting, but they won't dip that type, so I've stayed away. So I just stick to the kiddie cone of soft serve, usually a swirly cone, and usually get it dipped in either chocolate or cherry. Coupled with a stroll along the beach on a warm night, I'd say it's one of the simple pleasures of summer.

Changing customer service, one yelp review at a time. Last Saturday, June 12, 2014 I decided that i'd walk down to this establishment to get an ice cream, as it was a very hot day on the beach. It was finally my turn at the counter. I said hi, to your counter worker. Maybe I please have a kid size twist in a dish with jimmies. One would think that is what I wanted. I was then asked by this counter worker after rolling her eyes at me, if i wanted a medium chocolate ice ream with rainbow sprinkles... I looked all around because maybe I was wrong and it was not my turn. Nope... It was my turn. So I said, no. I would like a kid size twist in a dish with jimmies. To which i was then asked umm is that like chocolate and vanilla together?? REALLY... I get it, it's ice cream, you don't want to be there. But really, duhhhh. The rest of the expierence was not overly enjoyable either. I was then spoken to sternly by the useless person behind the table inside who I can only assume was the "manager." My advice, stay away unless you have the patience for repeating yourself and handling eye rolls.

Obscene portions, the vanilla soft serve was really bland but surprisingly creamy and even refreshing. The lemon Italian Ice was actually quite good! Not too sweet, and really refreshing on that hot beachy kind of day. It was cool to see how much business this place had and how the little tykes were soooo into their ice cream treats. I like this little brick ice box, but don't come here looking for quality ice cream.

Serving the BIGGEST brownie sundaes ever, and amazing soft serve ice cream! Seriously considered one of the best ice cream places around here, although I wish they had more flavors/hard serve (hard serve?). Park on the beach and grab some Kelly's Roast Beef, and get some Kell's Kreme afterwards. And stroll on the beach to work it off. Fabulous. Best date ever!

Just got back from Kellys Kreme and was disgusted by how filthy it was. Trash strewn all in front and a pile of dog crap. Dog crap. Disgusting.

I liked the soft serve ice cream, but it wasn't spectacular, nor was it bad. I had a small cone for $3, that was actually quite large, though it melted very quickly, even on the overcast day.
