No intercom system or ticket numbers—just someone yelling your name when your food’s ready. Stay close; the picnic tables are out of earshot. For the full experience, pull up in a truck and drop the tailgate. The turkey and brisket are moist, full of flavor, and crusted with pepper in a way that makes you instantly want more. The prices? Low enough to encourage indulgence. Don’t skip the apple pecan coleslaw—even if it means cheating on your carnivore diet. At $9 for two, the tacos are priced like gas station fare—but made with ingredients fit for royalty. Brisket, rich adobo cream sauce, cilantro, lime, and queso fresco, all tucked into a corn/flour blend tortilla—this is a divine concept that deserves praise. This spot is easily worth an hour’s drive. So saddle up, bring the dog and the family, and get there before they sell out.

I'm not a beef person and got the turkey tacos. My god they are smokey, moist, and delicious! They've now become my favorite. Two corn/flour tortillas stuffed with chopped BBQ turkey breast, a mild white cheese, drizzled with a tasty sauce, and cilantro sprinkled, along with a lime wedge to punch up the flavor! Good food and friendly service!

Excellent first experience at Kelly’s. The brisket was really good. Perfectly cooked and retained a nice saltiness. The jalapeño sausage had just the right amount of spice and the ribs were well cooked with a welcomed hint of sweetness. The Cole slaw is very unique and delicious. Highly recommended. Banana pudding hit the spot for dessert too. I’ll definitely be returning.

Kelly’s catered my daughter’s wedding a few weeks ago. We were absolutely thrilled with the food! I have lived in Texas my entire life, and I’ve had a lot of barbecue. This was some of the best I’ve ever had. And the fact that we were able to showcase good Texas barbecue at the wedding made us very proud. Everyone commented on how good everything was from the brisket, the smoked turkey, sausage, and the most delicious sides. And they are not your average sides - over the top in every way.

Both the staff and the food were excellent. You can tell they take pride in their product. I've had BBQ all over Texas, and the brisket was some of the best I have ever had. The bark was perfect. Would not be surprised to see this place gain some popularity and end up on the top 50 list in coming years.

Absolutely Amazing!!!!!! The BEST ! We were blown away with how good this bbq was !!! We thought we had good bbq in Nola and now we know we’re missing out !!! The staff are so sweet and the food was ready so fast ! I would definitely make sure to stop by ! I’ll be thinking of those tacos 🤣🫶

Had the brisket sandwich on 07/17/25 (sliced, moist) with the pickles, onions, jalapeno fixins. This was the best brisket I've had in years, perfect burnt ends with peppery char, fall apart in your mouth and full of delicious brisket flavor. I will definitely return and bring a friend.

Great BBQ in Wimberley TX. Saw the sign in passing to my destination and drove back about 30 minutes to try it. When I tell you I am so glad I drove back man. The ribs and brisket were both so juicy and flavorful. The ribs literally fell off the bone. I got the brussel sprouts and potato salad as my sides since they were already sold out of the Mac and cheese. The Brussels were a bit on the sweet side for me but were still yummy. The potato salad was fresh and had nice flavor. If I’m ever in Wimberley again I will be sure to stop by Kelly’s again. So good!

Definitely legit Texas bbq! I've been to several of the top bbq places in Texas so I had to try this place as I saw it was on a top 50 in Texas website. It definitely did not disappoint! The pulled pork was possibly the best I have ever had. The turkey and brisket were great, but I've had better at other top bbq places. They were out of ribs when I went so I didn't get to try those. The potato salad was the best side but all sides were good. The bottom line is everything here is amazing and a MUST TRY if you are in the area.

This is my favorite BBQ in Texas & I've driven to most of them. The service is always pleasant and timely. They appreciate cash and I love to give a generous tip. I've learned to call my order in just after 11:00 and my order is ready when I get there. Not a huge line at 11:30. There are picnic tables in the shade but I buy more than I can eat so I take it home. My absolute favorite is the Pork Belly only available on Friday and Saturday. It's total meat candy. Reheats beautifully in the air fryer. It's my indulgence treat for the weekend. My husband likes the Chango Tacos. All food is beautiful and tastes divine. The staff are friendly and efficient. I just love this place! No more long drives for me. 10 out of 5 stars!

My friends have been talking about Kelly's for a few weeks so we finally checked it out Saturday. We placed it ahead of time (phone) knowing it was a holiday weekend. Everything was really good. Brisket was my personal fave even though it was very seasoned and almost too salty for my fiance. The sprouts and andouille sausage were also tasty as was the turkey and ribs. Nothing I didn't really enjoy which is unusual. We'll definitely be back!

This is a food truck. We went one hour before it closed. Like any other barbecue place, they run out of food. I wasn't as hungry and ordered only two sides, but my friends ordered the different meats available. I am not sure if my friends are picky, or if they were just tired and grumpy, but they didn't really think the food was outstanding. They feel like the meat could have been from a grocery store barbecue place. They did like the barbecue sauce. I had the brussels sprouts with bacon. The side items were a good size for a personal size order. The brussels sprouts was delicious. The Potato salad was OK. Maybe I just don't like the smoky flavor. I know there was a mishap with our order, but it got cleared up pretty quick. The staff was friendly. They sell bottled drinks. They have parking available and a little sitting area in case you want to eat there.

Really nice folks, meat is great! We tried both brisket & turkey - huge loaded baked potato was quite a feast! Banana pudding was rich & delish! Thanks!

Stopped here for lunch during the week. Good grub! Typical pricing for bbq these days, so not cheap but good enough to pass the test. Had the potato salad (good but not outstanding) and apple pecan coleslaw (very yum) ; picked the sliced brisket and it was on point! Had a small portion of the jalapeño cheddar sausage and it was good but nothing really to brag about (did have a nice kick). Truck park is clean and shaded so that's a plus as well. Service was friendly as well. Definitely recommend this place when in Wimberley!

I don't usually like food trucks. BUT their bbq is awesome. I even ate bacon wrapped bbq quail and was surprised how delicious it was. Their brisket sandwich was full of meat. Their potato salad is a mayonnaise based salad and I prefer mustard but it was good too.

The absolute best BBQ! Let me tell you about the spare ribs (special Sat only)- falling off the bone and so juicy and smokey. The sauce/rub on the ribs was perfect with a bit of sweetness. We also got the brisket, mix of lean and moist. So so tender with a flavorful rub. We didn't need BBQ sauce or the hot BBQ sauces for anything because it tasted so good as is. Mac & cheese was also bomb!

Ribs were fantastic. (Served on Saturdays) Brisket was good but ribs take the cake at this place for sure. Generous helpings. (Tip: Mix the spicy and sweets bbq sauces) I wish I got a pic of the ribs before they disappeared lol

I have been meaning to stop in for some time and finally I did. Grabbed the Wimbo sandwich- just WOW! BBQ sandwiches are normally the low end of good bbq but this is made with the best ingredients and the absolute best I've ever had. The portions are generous and taste unrivaled.

We were visiting Wimberly for a few days . Saturday we wanted a quick bite to eat, but away from the crowds. Our son recommended Kelley's. We lucked out, the line was short, but getting busy. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich, wich had a generous amount of meat which made two lunches for us. It tasted great . I ordered the pork belly tacos with coleslaw with their special sauce. What a different treat from a barbecue resturant . The tacos were delicious. The great food was worth the short wait. We saw the picnic tables but opted to eat in our vehicle. I really enjoyed talking with the faithful locals waiting for our food.

I'm a pool guy, and pass by this place a lot at the end of my week. Finally decided to stop after getting tired of gas station foods, and HEB. Absolutely great boudin, wonderful brisket, quick at service and you get your food fast. Nothing less that a five star! Great place to quickly stop, pick up food and eat as you're moving around town !

Best brisket I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Believe me, as a 50yr old native Texan I have had a lot of brisket and gone to my share of Rodeo cookouts, and bbq legends like Franklin's, Killen's, etc. Just amazing food.

Best bbq around and great portions and sides. Wish it was a restaurant but the breakfast tacos are awesome and so is everything else. Drooling just thinking about it.

The barbecue items have always been delicious for the years we have been buying them! Today I tried the bacon Brussel sprouts for the first time and I am NOT a fan, but these were seriously delicious! My kids can't believe that I ate more than one! The apple, pecan slaw was good as well. The staff are always helpful and we'll keep returning.

Excellent BBQ. This is why they were mentioned in the last Texas Monthly BBQ review issue. Everything we have tried has been at least very good. It is too bad that they no longer have the sit down restaurant and have only the trailer. They are much better than either Pig Pen BBQ or Railroad BBQ in Dripping Springs and it is well worth the drive from Dripping Springs to Wimberley. Both of the Dripping Springs restaurants are fairly average

Brisket was a little too tough, but had a really good flavor. Pulled pork was the best thing we tried. Brussel Sprouts had too much of a smoke flavor for our liking. Would return for sure.

Was in Wimberley for a wedding. It was my first time in Texas, and was eager to try as much BBQ as possible. The first day we drove past unaware this place existed. It was closed. The day of the wedding (Saturday) I saw that it was open. I sped into the parking lot, for what was the best BBQ experience I've had. The Brisket was absolutely perfect, along with the Jalapeño Cheddar sausage, and the Pork Belly Bites. I worked at BBQ restaurant for years, and my understanding of quality food has changed. I plan to comeback within a year to Texas, and this will be the first place I visit!

Went to Kellys on Saturday for Rib day. The ribs were delicious and my Ol lady loves the slaw there. This is a must visit food truck in the hill country. Brisket was so tender. Worth the drive to Wimberley to taste pure deliciousness. Will be back!!! Great job Kelly's!

We've been eating Kelly's BBQ for years. It's a staple in our home! Whether for an easy weeknight dinner or a big event, we know Kelly's will always please the crowd. The flavors are spot on. Our favorites are the ribs and sausage. They're outstanding! Call ahead or get there early. They sell out fast!

Stopped in for a quick lunch. I had the sausage sandwich and was not disappointed. Try it; you'll like it.

We ordered food from Kelly's BBQ this past weekend to celebrate my mom's 91st birthday - because she LOVES BBQ! This was our first time to order from Kelly's but sure won't be our last. Wonderful food! We ordered brisket, smoked turkey, pulled pork, and sausage - all beautifully cooked - tender and tasty! We also got potato salad, apple pecan cole slaw (esp yum!), mac n cheese, beans. These sides were awesome! We pretty much sampled everything on the menu and loved it all. Our group of 14 raved over the food and they are critical eaters! Waahh, no leftovers! And it was all nicely packaged for transport! Thank you, Melody, for handling our order, and your crew for a great meal!

The ONLY BBQ in the State that I will eat! Truly delicious. I really like that they offer different menu options (Brisket Tacos anyone?) to mix things up & differentiate their brand. Great family-owned business that is a must stop for anyone visiting Wimberley.

My wife and I booked with Kelly's to cater our wedding just outside of town and it was perfect! Since moving to Texas a few years ago (we live in Houston), we have become bbq snobs for right or wrong and wanted to show off the best of what Texas has to offer to all of our out of town guests. We spent a weekend taste testing multiple places, and KHCBBQ was hands down the best not only that weekend, but maybe some of the best we've ever had period. Their pork belly is like freaking candy and by far the best individual piece of food I have ever eaten, it's just too bad we couldn't afford to spend more to include that on our menu. Speaking of a menu, I'll be honest and say that I assumed the quality would go down just a little bit because catering for a large group is just so different from preparing individual meals. But holy crap was I wrong. Even just catered through aluminum chafing dishes, that bbq was to die for. We did the pulled pork, brisket, mac & cheese and potato salad. Our guests totally demolished the mac & cheese too! We didn't get to take any of that home even though we ordered for more people than attended, and got lucky to just take a little of the meat home. We kept getting texts over the next couple days saying from guests saying that it was the best barbeque they've ever had and they were dying for more. As for the owners, Kelly and Melody - they're the nicest people ever. They're so friendly when you walk up to their food trailer and they're even friendlier over the phone and through email. Please, if you're someone who just needs some good bbq on a Saturday, head there without thinking twice! And if you're thinking of catered bbq for a wedding, graduation party, work retreat or whatever else you feed groups of people at, make Kelly's the only place on your list! Thank you Kelly and Melody for being such a huge part of my me and my wife's perfect wedding!

So delicious! Kelly's catered for 75 and everyone raved about how incredibly good everything tasted. Many people said it was the best BBQ they ever had....and this from a bunch of BBQ loving Texans. These guys are the real deal. All the sides were great, too. We'll definitely be back.
