Flushing overflows with Asian markets, Chinese food, and people on a Sunday afternoon. Turn the corner off Main St onto 41st St and into a throwback Irish Pub. Hasn’t changed in years. Friendly service. Quiet, small crowd there. Sat at the bar and had a Guinness and a lite beer, $14 before a tip.

lowkey bar in flushing that my best friend suggested me to & i really love it there. there’s not a lot of bar options where you can just sit & listen to music & talk to your friends in flushing unless you go to a restaurant bar. their music selection is amazing & the bartender was so welcoming & such a chill guy to talk to. it is cash only but they have an atm if you dont have any on you & the drinks are priced really well :) they have pizza as well if you’re hungry!

I came by last night after hot pot and had such a fun time vibing to music and chatting with the bartender Johnny. Super cool dude. Good prices. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area ! (: thanks for a fun time!

Only actual pub left in Flushing. A lot of weirdos here but I always have a good time when I come out here with my friends. Sometimes they'll have a game on. Sometimes you'll see people playing darts which is fun. They also have a pretty updated jukebox with a lot of varieties of music.

An oasis that doesn’t feel like you’re in flushing Queens. Straight forward Irish pub with darts in the back & a good ambience. Would come back if I’m in the area!

Kelly's Pub is an old school Irish Pub in the middle of Flushing Chinatown. Jen is the main daytime bartender, working Fridays thru Mondays, and has been working at Kelly's for over 20 years. She is beautiful inside and out, and so easy to talk to. She is truly the gem of Kelly's, and very accommodating.

First time here, I’m a female and nobody bother me. I really like it and I will be back! I had a corona for $6, a tequila shot and a cream shot. Everything had a good price and tasted good!.

Average dive bar with a few small old TVs above the bar and a few tables and chairs. The bar itself is pretty small - probably can fit about 30 people max before it feels crowded. Wish someone would have told me that this bar was cash only. Shots are 1oz pours not the typical 1.5 oz dive bar pour.

If you look up New York dive bars in the dictionary (or Urban Dictionary for that matter) you will see a photo of Kelly's Pub (with our large crew in tow) As a means to grab a pint before our LIRR train, while having the game on TV, Kelly's treated us right.

My brother and I were there Friday, March 29, 2024, otherwise known as Opening day at Citi Feild. I think her name was Jane the Bartender, we had a great time. the Jukebox rocks, Prices for New York AWESOME, Just a step back in time We will be back, Thank You All at Kelly's

Great local dive bar. Stopped in here twice while staying over for a concert at Citi Field. Wine pours are generous. They had Woodfood Reserve as the house wine. Also noticed what a nice selection of bourbons that they have. Woman bartender during the day was very nice. Told me they make bar pies. Came back to this place after the show to get pizza & the nasty guy bartender refused to make it so we left.

The food was excellent. Cooked to perfection and served by a waitress with a personality. The place had a warm ambiance with plenty of room to enjoy your meal.

Loved this place. John and Nicky were great. Felt lost staying in China Town. Got to meet nice locals who were super friendly. Here for the Open.

It was a convenient little spot in the middle of busy Flushing. Jennifer was very kind and made you feel at home. Make sure to have cash if you stop by (ATM available)

A tremendous neighborhood bar. Some may call it a dive. Others will simply appreciate the great company, affordable prices and generous hospitality. Perfect meeting spot before a Mets game or to keep a party going after a concert at Citi Field. Lots of regulars in here and for better or worse you'll quickly feel like one. Most of the beers are on ice and the whisk(e)y selection is tremendous. If you run into a regular called G$ then do yourself a favor and run away or you risk having the most random, infuriating, epically entertaining conversation of your life.

OMG! Tell me it isn't so! Closed on 7/17/17 by NYC Health Department after receiving 61 points according the NYC website. Kelly's doesn't even serve food! I don't know the details (other than "evidence of mice or live mice present in facility's food and/or non-food areas" and some flies) on the NYC website, but think that's a bit harsh! Hey, this is downtown Flushing so isn't this to be expected? I hope they clean up and open soon!

Hey Folks, Welcome to Kelly's Irish Pub in in the middle of Flushing's Chinatown. Eat first before you come.. just booze no Grub at Kelly's Pub. ( bring a couple pizzas in with you.. you'll make friends fast) Pulling up a stool, I thought I had been thrown back in time 50 years. I loved it. It's cash only here.. Take your cash out and put it on the bar just like your old man taught you. Your credit card won't go far here. The vibe was old woodgrain, old booze and even older men. Just like the places my daddy and grandpa would go drinking. Dimly lit by the Mets baseball neon sign in the front window.. it was like the bar should have said..BIG JIM is welcome here. Old man Irish dive bars were among the first places that I ever went drinking. No one checked your ID back in the day and your old man was at the bar drinking anyway. I felt like I was home. Kelly's has a dart board and you don't have to look away to see the game the TV is mounted right over the dartboard. I believe that hitting the TV with a dart would not be good here. This is the only place that you will find a nice tall cold long neck bottle of Bud for $4. Definitely, this is the place to relax with friends in Flushing and not have to use your Mandarin. Johnny at the bar was a friend of mine.. and suggested that Jagermeister would be the drink of choice. It sure was. This deliciously chilled liquor paired well with the cold Budweisers in the Glass bottles. We finished the first bottle quickly and had to open another. Yelp tip of the day ..! Always buy the bartender drinks at the Irish bar you will not be sorry later. It got a little drunk out that night. This is where Kelly's Pub picks up that final 5th Star, it's only a five minute walk from my apartment. Since the closing of the Roosevelt sports bar down the road. ... It's now one of the only games in town. If anyone knows another cool old dive like this in Flushing please let me know. Old well dear friends, you know it's getting close to closing time when most of the patrons are passed out on the bar. Show me the way to go home I'm tired and I want to go to bed. And the Mets kicked ass tonite. Knocked in a franchise-record score of.. 24 to 4 !! What is this FOOTBALL ? Let's raise a toast to our Mets here in Flushing! In the shadow of Citi Field, a quick walk from Kelly's Pub.

This is a nice place to have a beer if you on the neighborhood. I won't go out my way. Price average, parking very difficult, but near all public transportation

Kelly's is a real NYC watering hole with a diverse cast of characters who are there to hang out with friends, watch NY sports, and drink, son!

This place is "The Room" of bars. The worst bar I've ever been in, so much so it might be the best. The kegs were empty except for warm Guinness (at 6pm on a Saturday ). The lights were all the way on. The football game was turned down, while the ranchero music was turned up. The bathroom smelled like the port-a-potty of a state fair in Kansas, the air conditioning unit has a hose running through the wall to drip directly into the men's bathroom sink, and clearly there hadn't been a female patron under 40 in the bar since its inception. And it is perfect. I love Kelly's. Never change. It's authentic, raw, and purely Kelly's.

Ghetto? Yes. Cash only? Yes. Tons of fun? Yes! This is your classic neighborhood Irish bar serving a decent pint of Guinness. It's a nice oasis of Western drinking culture in a neighborhood saturated with Asian drinking establishments. The decor is hardwood, sticky floors, and furniture in all states of disrepair. There was one bartender the night I was there, a Friday. We ordered a couple rounds of Guinness and played some darts. We got a buy back after a couple rounds. Pretty nice of them since we're not even regulars here. There are plenty of televisions to watch sports on. We just happened to be there during the NBA finals but it was still pretty spacious, unlike zebra lounge nearby which was uncomfortably packed. We were also the only Asians here, which is strange given that it's smack dab in the middle of Flushing, but not so strange once you remember that Asians hate dirty Irish bars populated with non-Asian people. Sometimes a dirty little hole in the wall is exactly where you want to do your drinking. Kelly's Pub is a last refuge to the onslaught of impossibly hip craft beer and mixology lounges washing across the face of this old New York neighborhood.

If you're in Flushing, and don't want something Chinese, Kelly's is your spot. This Irish bar just doesn't seem to fit with the neighborhood, which is what makes it absolutely perfect. The crowd seems to consist of a group of regulars, but newcomers are welcomed. Guinness on tap. It's all you need to know.

If you're ever in need of a cheap, strong drink and you're in the area, I highly recommend to drop by and grab a drink or two. I love the bartender there, forgot his name but he's the skinny Irish fella, I love him. I occasionally drop by and I'm always treated like family. It may seem like a shady bar but it's a great dive bar to hit up! Come by!

Classic old school pub. Bring cash. No plastic here... darts. Sweet jukebox. Recommend sticking to bottled beers if you are in the mood for beer. Seems like all locals do this.

What the heck this place is doing in the middle of everything Asian in downtown Flushing is a mystery, but my guess is it long preceded the rest of the most recent influx of immigrants and simply decided to stay. I'm giving this place two stars because of the ridiculous volume of the music--really, please. This isn't a Spinal Tap or KISS concert. People come to dive bars to visit too. I can see it having a long life here as long as they decide to stay. Honestly, we would have had a second drink but both of us, musicians, opted out. Simply too loud to even have a conversation seated inches away from each other. Beyond stupidly loud. Only one single malt whisky available, Glenmorangie, another disappointment but really, this isn't that kind of joint. DIve? When you look up the definition in the dictionary, there's a picture of this place. Pleasant bartender though. Nothing I've written here will impact this joint. Not one bit, and come here and you too will see why. Long live Kelly's. Rare that I'll be wanting a quasi-Irish pub in downtown Flushing, NY but if I do, eh... there are a bunch of them down the #7 line back toward Manhattan.

We went here to grab a quick late night beer. We walked in to meet some friendly locals and the bartender immediately served us some cold beverages. Even bought us a round a little later. Great lil place and great prices...

Local dive bar, the people who work here are awesome. Very hospitable. Bartender is the coolest. Watch sports, and play darts. But be reAdy for some competition, their are professional darts players in there lol.

Growing up in queens these places were spoken about amongst the older men in my family and i believed them to be a relic of their time..then I found Kelly's. After a mets game we went here and shit, we were welcomed. They have Paddy's irish . Take shots of it, if you don't choose this path then please, just go home and don't me ask why. Kelly's pub, i love you please don't ever change.

To me, some of the best $5.00 Guinness in Queens. Friendly bartenders during the week and always has some interesting people hanging. No food but feel free to bring whatever you like inside. Cash only. Good jukebox too!

This place is close to the subway, right by the library (if you wanna read and daydrink...i've done it), and after a shitty day at work, followed by an even shittier subway ride back home (thanks for nothing, 7!), Kelly's has become my go-to spot. The place is pretty small, the smoking area is tiny but gets the job done, and the crowd is super mixed and, most importantly, judgement-free. The bartenders have always been friendly (once I asked for a White Russian and it took longer than I expected...because the bartender had run out of milk and actually gone out to get some more, rather than tell me to order something else) and I like to take my non-Flushing friends here, as a kind of archetypal Deep Queens anti-hipster joint. If any of this sounds appealing to you, then check this place out the next time you're in the neighborhood.

I'm a fan of dive bars and I was even a little unsure about this one. An Irish pub in the middle of Chinatown/Flushing? Why is it the only building with bars on the window? I'm glad we decided to come here though. Came here with 5 other people, and the regulars happily moved seats to let us sit together at the bar. The crowd is mixed: tourists, locals, and everyone else in between. Any crowd that keeps the jukebox humming with Nirvana is more than A-OK in my book. As another reviewer pointed out, the pick-up scale in this place is non-existent. Johnny, the bartender, is terrific and quick to refill our drinks. Generous pour on the mixed drinks, my vodka tonic was probably 2 parts vodka and 1 part tonic. Pretty sure he makes up the prices, which is totally fine with us. Drinks were cheap and he treated us to a round of Jameson on the house on our 3rd round. Way to keep the party going, Johnny! I think the door to the women's restroom is jammed; it was locked both times I tried and pretty sure there was nobody in there since there were only 4 women in the entire bar. Restroom was good especially for dive standard. If you happen to be in the area for a yummy Chinese dinner, drop by Kelly's for an especially stiff drink or two before you go on to your Asian karaoke.

Stopped by for a quick drink. They had the yankees game on and mets. Just a nice chill spot with that classic pub feel and cheap drinks.

This place is a total dive. It absolutely rocks! Granted, being from Brooklyn I would never make the trip to go there, but luckily my friends live on the same block, so I get to visit fairly often. They completely ignore the smoking ban, so if you're smoke sensitive don't go there. The place is full of locals - and there is this one woman that has been there every time I go. She must be at least 85, and she's been coming there for Happy Hour since her early 20's! She's a character - definitely chat her up when you're there. It's not a pickup bar, and there are no beautiful people, so come with friends, monopolize the jukebox and enjoy ridiculously strong, ridiculously cheap drinks!

Horrible atmosphere. If you want the most basic, dirty, old fashion dive bar you find it. Don't take your lady there if you like her at all! Service is unfriendly.

I go to Flushing restaurants often and was giving up hope on finding a remaining bar. Here is a good one... Although they both look closed, Roosevelt Sports Bar and Kelly's are both still alive and kicking. Nice full bar, friendly staff, good prices. No kitchen, but they were very accepting of outside food. Which in Flushing with tons of great takeout food works perfect. We got lamb and chicken skewers from Xinjiang BBQ Cart which is directly aross the street and some White Bear wontons, had at bar with cocktails. They even supplied paper towels. Not upscale in the least, but definitely a solid place to knock a few back. Great draft Guniness, cheap pint cocktails, buyback policy and interesting patio get it the 5 Stars (as far as dive bars go).

A dive, yes, but not a charming or inviting dive in the hey-lets-enjoy-this-dive-bar kinda dive. The waitress looked at me when I asked how much for my drink, saw her size me up and charged me $6 for a (house)whiskey-soda. Now, as an avid fan of drinking and trying new bars I know full well that you dont often pay much over $5 for well happy hour drinks throughout the 5 boroughs at MUCH nicer places than Kelly's. Im pretty sure the bartender (female) felt that because I was the only one in there with a button down shirt, didnt look suicidal/crushed by life and wasn't screaming chinese across the bar she could take me for a $1+ ride. I paid for my drink, sipped & tipped and was happy to leave a crappy bar that was too brightly lit and far too unappealing for me to pretend it was an enjoyable place to be or a good experience..

This place is very very very divey ... There is an outdoor smoking section in the back and smoke floods in as if someone was BBQ ing - it's soooo gross Very interesting crowd in a very interesting location Was completely packed when I went on labor day, which was surprising as it was like 4pm in the afternoon. Not my scene, way too dirty, smokey, and creepy for me ...

Needed a quick beer and a break from the heat and crowds while exploring the area. This no frills dive was just the ticket. I would love to hear the story of how this tiny Irish bar persists in this Asian enclave. I'll have to ask one of the regulars if I ever make it back.

Not a hipster "dive bar", but a real dive bar. Kelly's Pub is the type of place where you can either be a loner or get involved, it's up to you. I went here during the afternoon and got a few drinks, met some interesting people, had good conversation and laughs. There are a few TVs on and there is also a jukebox if that's your thing. The drink prices are fair, and the buybacks may happen. Personally, I had a great time here and plan on returning.

Definitely a divebar. I use to come here time to time (not often though) when I wanted to drink alone and didn't feel like hanging out with my friends (I'm a classic introvert, INFJ in fact). Drinks are dirt cheap, you can bring in food and eat there, and the bartenders (formers and currents) are all very professional. It is a very stereotypical divebar though as most of the regular patrons are old white or old Chinese. If you plan on picking up chicks (at a divebar nonetheless...), this is definitely not the place. But pluses are cheap drinks, professional bartenders (knowing how to serve drinks, knowing when to be personable and when to give a patron space and quietness), and public transportations are nearby. I use to love blasting Guns N Roses songs here (but then I moved).

Have come back a couple of more times. Most friendly bar staff in NYC. Big thumbs up!

Worst bartender EVER. Just left this place cause the coronas were warm. I've been here before & they usually keep them on ice. I guess she was too busy eating to put ice on the beer. I heard from other customers that this woman is useless & never cleans anything. I'll be going to clean bars with cold beer from now on.

It's a pretty regular Irish-American style bar in the middle of Flushing Chinatown. A few drafts including Bass, the usual liquors, darts, and internet jukebox. Interesting ethnically-mixed crowd. A good stop en route home from a Mets game.

Definitely rocks! The bartender Dennis is a great guy. I was so surprised that there is such a traditional local Irish bar near Flushing Main St.. There usually are some interesting local people there to get drunk make friends. Unfortunately, there is always very few pretty women there. It is a guys' place.

Nice little pub in Flushing. not far from the 7 train. It seems like lot of regulars go there cause the older lady bartender know most of them. I ordered grey goose/pineapple. Drink was so strong. Two of them; I was done and I am lightweight. Place was busy on a thursday evening I was there. Wish they have more bigger tV so next time I get enjoy some games. Decent pub for the area cause it;s so hard to find a pub in Flushing other than KTV.

This is the place to be if you want to get away from the Flushing riff raff. Total dive bar with good cheap drinks, jukebox, and TV. More like a guys place or a last date place.

Mike Kelly is the greatest Owner quiet, reflective and a complete Gentlemen. When everyone abandoned Flushing in the 1970"s and 1080"s Mr. Kelly realized the dynamic future of flushing and never, sold out. It is the best bar in Flushing and all thanks go to Mr. Kelly, I meet a professor who taught me 30 years ago in Queens College, all create Goes to Mr. Kelly for keeping the Dream alive, the Bar is great, no better.
