The hotel is located in a secluded bay with a beautiful beach, about a 40 minute drive to most good small towns scattered around Bodrum. It is a great place if you are looking for a quite holiday, but do not expect to be close to restaurants etc. |The hotel itself looks quite aged. Rooms, bathrooms, facilities all look like they need a serious upgrade. It is a very large hotel on an even larger piece of land and years have not been good to it. The buggy shuttle to and from the beach is quite long and I can't imagine what it looks like during busy summer days. The beach itself is very nice and clean. Service at the beach though is a problem because the online menu system they had in place was not working well at all. Many orders came with the wrong items or very late despite the hotel being almost empty. |The staff is doing the best day can and service and food quality was quite good.

Fabulous setting in a beautiful bay with clear and calm water. Buggy service to the beach takes a couple of minutes and is fun. Loads of sunbeds and no one putting towels down at 6am to save them! Beachside service is good - served by a gorgeous beach restaurant with palm fringing and lovely staff. They serve up an array of salads, poke bowls and drinks ranging from Moet to Starbucks coffee! I just wish it stayed open in the evening as we like lighter food. ||We had a refurbished 8th floor deluxe room with white wood furniture and a very comfortable bed. TV has a gazillion stations and there is a lavazza coffee maker with pods plus plentiful complimentary water. I practiced yoga every morning overlooking the sparkling water and it was perfect. ||The staff are amazing - so friendly and helpful and very warm. They sorted minor glitches instantly and with great grace. They gave great advice on Bodrum restaurants and sightseeing. They honestly could not have been any better. ||Now, the food. Breakfast at Olives is great - everything you would expect from a five star plus pizza to order and juice shots. My only gripe was that they didn’t do decaf coffee or soya milk or seeds for yogurt toppings. We enjoyed Villa Rossa - great menu and wine but we didn’t want to do fine dining more than once. Mama Drau, the Italian, served good salads but we both found the oven baked chicken too salty. Olives is the half board default restaurant serving mainly Turkish fare. We had some issues with this in terms of food quality and choice which we discussed with the hotel. They listened very carefully and it was significantly improved the following time we ate there. They have said they will continue with further improvements over the coming weeks. We did opt to go into town for dinner a couple of times as we had some good recommendations from the hotel and wanted to try a different scene. We recommend Kebap Guru and Memadof and we heard good things about Ili Sandal. ||All in all this is a fabulous place to stay - the setting and the service are the standout features. You won’t get better! ||Thank you to all the wonderful people who made our holiday so special.

This hotel is very nice but you can see it is getting a bit old. Not very easy to move around with the baby stroller, a lot of stairs and lifts etc. Off season a lot of food places are closed and there is no entertainment. Shortage of staff. Seems like hotel management failed to plan well for the number of guests - but how is it possible if rooms are booked in advance? The restaurants which were open had great food options. Beach is fantastic. Overall I would recommend the stay here but would suggest that the team pays more attention to the off season period.

I have left a review on Google last year and this is my 2nd review this year as I cannot leave multiple reviews for the same place. To begin with the hotel is set in arguably the most beautiful area of bodrum though secluded it is short drive away from town. The hotel is beautiful extremely clean and rooms are spacious with luxurious amenities and have balconies though I recommend deluxe rooms which have panoramic views which are well worth the views. The staff where to begin all knew me my wife and baby by name they provides amazing service including mustafa kemal and other two ladies at front desk who's name I don't remember, ladies in red Including Sofia, Zeynep, the helpers including Fatih, Efe ( and everyone from room mains to staff at breakfast including Hilal and Burak) are all amazing. What makes the hotel great is service, beach is the most beautiful with amazing water and food is fantastic (though a bit pricy). Kempinski has made me a permanent customer and will stay with them wherever I go especially of I come bodrum.

This is “The place to be in Bodrum”!|I had been to this resort in July 2023 and left a review on Tripadvisor.com in Turkish "Mükemmel - Profesyonellik, kalite ve hizmet örneği” (“Excellent - An example of professionalism, quality and service”) which still reflects all its positive points today. For this reason, I invite you to read it, to discover all its particularities.|My previous suggestions for improvements have been largely followed with excellent results.|The structure is very large, surrounded by greenery, some areas are isolated and discreet for those who want more tranquillity and privacy.|Even in the most challenging and demanding moments, the whole staff always is ready to support you for an exciting and unique experience.|This year the Italian restaurant Mammadrau was open and the experience was amazing (the cooking of pasta and rice was perfect for the Italian style “al dente”).|I suggest you taking the “all-inclusive” formula because the restaurants are “à la carte” and all the proposals are exceptional … it is impossible to resist the temptation; the prices are in line with those in Europe but the quality is really high.|On the beach you can conveniently order drinks and meals (customizable) through a “QR code” positioned on the umbrellas.|Due to a misunderstanding at the time of booking, our accommodation was not the one we wanted; on the second day we turned to the Guest Experience Manager, Mr. Mevlut, and asked if it was possible to arrange the room better, his answer was “This is Kempinski, your happiness and your well-being are our priority!”, he then showed us other solutions until we found the one that suited us; at this point he added “Leave your suitcases and everything else in the room, we will take care of making sure you find everything in the new accommodation, go to the sea and relax”. I can only say "Wow!!!"; during the whole stay Mr. Mevlut and his team made sure that everything was always to our liking. Let him advise you on the boat trip because he will find the best solution for you. I want to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service provided by Guest Experience Manager Mevlut, his Lady in Red and the Concierge team. Mr. Mevlut is good at anticipating our needs and quickly solving problems as they arise. The Lady in Red team added a personal touch to our experience. The Concierge team was incredibly knowledgeable and efficient. Thanks to their hard work, our stay was truly memorable.|If you need an energy boost, turn to Mr. Savas, the restaurants manager, a real gem, a concentrate of sympathy and vitality, fast, perfect, always available, the definition of problem solver. On the day of your arrival he saw that we were tired from the long journey, we were on the beach, he called a couple of guys, he put the deckchairs in the water, a few minutes and the fruit cocktails arrived… if this is not heaven then what?|I must compliment the General Manager, Mr. Serkan Husunbeyi, who, with great discretion, humility and friendliness, is always present to ensure that everything is going as well as possible for the hotel's customers. It is important that the main representative of the property is immediately available. This ensures the excellent functioning of all services.|I would like to thank in particular:|Olives Restaurant – Breakfast – Mrs. Çiğdem: professional, fast, courteous, always smiling; never forgets any request, a person who wants to do his job in the best way, his commitment is very satisfying.|Olives Restaurant – Breakfast – Mr. Hilal: you don't have time to order … he arrives immediately with water, tea and coffee.|Barbarossa Restaurant – Lunch – Mr. Mohammed: an exemplary, professional, he finds you a table even if there isn't one... Mohammed how do you do it???|Barbarossa Restaurant – Lunch – Mrs. Tuğçe: really kind, always available and precise, competent and efficient.|Villa Rossa Restaurant – Dinner – Mr. Serkan: impeccable, professional, knows perfectly every dish that is served in the restaurant.|All Restaurants – Chef Ömer: Chef … an extraordinary and unforgettable experience!|Front Desk Manager – Mr. Deniz, Mr. Tunc and Mr. Soner: extremely professional and really friendly; always available to provide information or help (don't hesitate to contact them, they have great experience and ability).|Kempinski Hotel Barbaros Bay Bodrum represents without a doubt the excellence of the hotel industry, many Hotels should take it as an example of perfection and professionalism.|Thank you for the wonderful personal experience. An unforgettable holiday!!!

Beautiful location even though a little far from everything but has everthing you would need. Fantastic for a short stay as location is exceptional. Good size rooms and bathrooms and very comfotable rooms. Plenty of different areas to not feel overwhelmed with people and restaurants all very good. Very little english spoken (apart from reception and concierge) so very difficult to communicate and some misunderstandins with food... excellent buffet breakfast

Kempinski Barboros Bay- I wanted to take the opportunity to share our thoughts on our wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. The management and staff are wonderful and the hotel is very special. I had an unfortunate accident while there (fractured foot) and I could not have asked for better care and concern. They arranged hospital visit and helped in every way possible. The next day they delivered flowers and sweets to our room. Such a beautiful gesture. The beach and amenities are wonderful as well as the culinary offerings. I would like future guests to know what wonderful hands they will be in at Kempinski Barboros Bay.

Following a few days in Istanbul, we rounded off my birthday celebration family trip with three days at this magnificent place. The location is absolutely amazing, quiet ambience and serenity, the service and facilities top notch, all staff extremely kind and professional, rooms (go for the grand deluxe) luxurious and spotlessly clean with to-die-for-views - and the sea exactly the turquoise nuance I had hoped for. Thank you Kempinski Barbarossa Bay, also for the delicious cake to mark the occasion.

Yelp
We stayed here on vacation as a family. Arrived late at night after a flight from Istanbul. Here are a bunch of random observations from the family: Wonky wifi. Doesn't even work. Pay upfront. Good shuttle service from airport. Staff English not great. Coffee maker flooded. Weirdly empty hotel. Sunscreen outrageous at 400 TL. Breakfast and lunch included. Beautiful views. Pool deck not well attended. Weather awesome. Great babysitting service, they take great care of kids in the playroom which is onsite. Dwight by the seaside with gorgeous water and views. Food solid.

Yelp
My family and I arrived to this hotel this afternoon and we couldn't be more disappointed, this hotel is overrated and is definitely not a 5 stars. We arrived at 7pm, our first impression was that the hotel is charmless we had a reservation of 3 rooms for 4 nights, at the check-in we were asked to pay the full amount of money for the whole stay, I have never been to a 5* hotel where the customer has to pay in advance, normally they require a credit card as a guarantee, and we pay the full amount at the check-out, but in this case no, we were asked to pay everything in advance, I felt like the customer isn't trusted in this hotel!!. We were so disappointed that we decided to leave the hotel, but we couldn't since the reservation for one of the three rooms was not refundable. We got our rooms, they are small and I have never seen such an uncomfortable bed!!! Then we decided to have diner at the restaurant " la Luce ", I asked at the reception where the restaurant is located, and I was told that the restaurant is full and we shouldn't go there, I decided to go despite of that, and surprise, the restaurant was half empty ( I don't know why they lied). On our way to the restaurant, the corridors were all dirty as you can see on the pictures, and on top of that we found a big and dirty BICYCLE in the middle of this so called " 5 stars " hotel ( as shown in the picture), also the walls are all dirty. Long story short, this hotel doesn't deserve to be a 5 stars hotel, I hope in the future the prices will match the quality.

Yelp
When you pull up it doesn't look like a 5-star hotel. When your in the lobby it looks kind of nice but when you get to the rooms they are very tiny and uncomfortable with shitty furniture. They didn't refund us for the nights we had cancelled when they said they would. It is also 25 minutes by car to bodrum and a bit of a treacherous walk down to the beach. Worst experience in all of Turkey DONT COME HERE!!!!

Shideh D.

Yelp
I am staying at this hotel in Bodrum, Turkey. Just checked in and everything about this "5-Star" resort has fallen short so far. We had an emergency and I needed to stay in Antalya one extra night. We notified the hotel three days before hand to see if they would be flexible and refund us some of our money. They told us that since I booked through a travel agency that they could not do that according to the international contract their corporate office holds with agencies. That if I was to book it through their website or directly to the hotel there be more flexibility. I conveyed that message to my agent. She called the hotel and the manager, Soner, denied saying that to me. That is extremely unprofessional. Their front desk has been not very accommodating. We have stayed at many five star resorts and this is not a five-star resort. I cannot believe that you can get away falsely advertising that this property is five star. Maybe someone from corporate office should come here and see this property first hand to see how ill kept it is. The steps going down are wood planks that are rotted through and discolored. I almost fell going down the stairs. There are weeds everywhere along the pathways. The grass is not cut. Landscaping is not maintained at all. There are chips and cracks in every wall. The rooms are small and smell. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. They had us in one room and our children all the way in the other end of the hotel. That is not acceptable. And they have yet to give us any refund and claim that they cannot because it is your corporate policy even under emergency circumstances. I've never had that kind of an experience staying at a Ritz Carlton or four seasons before. I would love the opportunity to talk to someone from your corporate office in more depth. I have taken many pictures and I'm more than happy to share them with you. I will be sharing them in a review online. The agency we work with on this trip has sent many people to your resort. I made sure to send them all the pictures so they can see firsthand what this resort looks like now because it looks nothing like what is on the website. Horrible!!! Cannot believe a large hotel company such as yours, falsely advertises the way you do with this resort. It is a rip off.

Yelp
It does not seem like a five star hotel , when the spa won't put on air conditioning (trying to save money ) or the rooms which also do not have great a/c or many of the public spaces . The food is mostly good. The staff has basic English , but not above that . The breakfast does not have soy or almond milk. Which is a joke consider how many people no longer drink milk. Also no stevia or Splenda anywhere in the hotel
