We came here on a Monday night for our anniversary dinner. We had reservations and were shown directly to our table. We were seated in a booth, which was nicely secluded from other guests, however thought the restaurant was a little over lit, we'd prefer the lights dimmed a bit. Our server was very friendly and promptly greeted us with waters and the cocktail list. The list was pretty extensive, good variety of bourbon, cocktails and wines by the bottle and glass. We settled on a bottle of amarone, which was fairly priced.
Our waiter went over the specials, which were pretty overwhelming. There were 3 appetizer specials, 2 salad specials and 6 different entree specials. My wife pointed out, these should be printed, by the time he was done listing the specials, we couldn't remember which protein came with which side and felt bad making him repeat.
We started with the steak tartare which was excellent. The beef was seasoned well and was paired perfectly with crostini and rich egg yolk. We both had the house salads, which came with candied pecans, blue cheese, cranberries and a balsamic vinaigrette. Great way to start. My wife had the short rib special, served over polenta. She loved it and came home with leftovers as the portion was huge. I had the pesto crusted sea bass special served over a tomato base. The sea bass was cooked perfectly, the fishes flaked off and was very tender. I'd go back for this.
My wife noted it was our anniversary on our reservation and was a little disappointed the server didn't even acknowledge it. Overall, the setbacks were minor and the server was very nice and attentive, we had a great meal and will surely be back.
