We stayed here for 5 nights as a base to explore the region, but unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations.
• Our attic room had a lovely view of the village, but it was dark and poorly designed. The air conditioning unit was placed right under the window, making it impossible to use it without keeping the curtains open, not ideal during hot summer days.
• The bathroom roof window had a curtain that fell down daily, which became annoying.
• There was no kettle or coffee/tea setup in the room, you have to order tea via room service.
• Service throughout our stay felt indifferent and uninterested. Despite it being included in our booking confirmation, no welcome drink was offered.
• Breakfast was minimal and repetitive every day: standard croissants with powdered sugar, no local touches or variation. The only highlight was a small jar of what seemed to be local honey.
• The room had cookies, but they weren’t local or organic, a missed opportunity for something authentic or thoughtful.
• We chose not to dine at the hotel due to the underwhelming breakfast and lack of attention to detail.
Overall, the hotel lacks passion and hospitality. For €190 per night, we expected a much higher standard and a more welcoming experience. Sadly, we wouldn’t recommend it.
