Kenect is one of my favorite places! Moved here for grad school last year and toured about 6,7 other places and would probably still choose it again if I got another chance. If customer service is a person it would be Ken and the staff at Kenect. They greet me every time I walked by the concierge and made me feel like home. Out of 600 tenants and units, these group of people made sure everyone is taken care of. I never have to ask twice from maintenance requests to small things like validating a visitor’s license plate. It’s safe to say I might not be able to find a better place like this in Nashville.

Carroll, Ken and Ray have been beyond helpful, I just moved in and they have made it seamless and helped with any issues I had during move in. I moved here for grad school and they are so easy to communicate with, you get quick responses from everyone and they’re so welcoming too. I put in a maintenance request and Ray came over to help in under 30 mins. I have PM experience and I know how hard it can be! Definitely recommend 10/10. Attaching a picture of my sunset view haha!!

Lived here for 3+ years during my stay in Nashville and it was GREAT! Just look at this morning view on top of Nashville! The apt is in a killer location close to restaurants like Hattie B’s and groceries like Turnip Truck within walking distance. They do have tons of community activities like Tuesday Tasting for breakfast and Mimosa Brunch on Sundays. Staff are very helpful and always eager to help out and the gym in this apt helped me lose weight. The stretch machine in the gym is godsend; it relieved my back pain every time. If ever I’m gonna live in Nashville again, I’ll choose this apt no doubt!

Living at Kenect Nashville has been one of the best parts of my Vanderbilt experience. The sense of community here truly exceeded my expectations. The amenities are amazing—from the beautiful pool to the convenience of furnished units—but what really stood out were the events. Tuesday breakfast, mimosa brunches, and so many other events with free food and drinks made it easy to meet people and feel at home. The team puts so much effort into creating a fun, welcoming environment, and it really shows. I’m incredibly grateful to have found this place—thank you, Kenect, for everything!

Every morning when I open my eyes and my feet hit the floor I stand up and gaze out of my floor-to-ceiling windows at the most vibrant and inspired section of Nashville, TN. Music Row. Midtown. Everyday, just outside the lobby doors of this fashionable downtown loft community, dreams are coming true and neighbors are rising into superstars! While just inside those same doors V, Nicholas, Esther, Carrol, Jess, Mike, Emily, Katie, Delaney, Shane, Jason and an array of amazing staff are treating each resident like superstars. Our community has access to a bevy of 5-star amenities including pool, cabanas, bars, grills, a community garden; all with a birds-eye-view of Midtown and its free celebrity events such as the famed “Whiskey Jam” at Winner’s Bar. We take advantage of the rooftop dog park, world class fitness facility and meticulously decorated community spaces. Our residents are provided a plethora of inclusive activities such as fitness classes, special themed foodie events, comedy shows, and you’ll likely find me at the weekly “Lobby Jams” where residents and their friends are given a platform to share the gift of music and art. Many residents come down to listen and enjoy; perhaps while studying for their exams at nearby Vanderbilt & Belmont Universities. Kenect is literally at the epicenter of Nashville boasting walking distance to Broadway, Demonbreun, The Gulch, West End, Church St. & Belcourt areas. We never suffer from boredom in this neighborhood. And at Kenect we actually act like neighbors! We do life together and it’s amazing! My personal space is efficient, well equipped, and temperature stays the way I like it without fighting with the thermostat. I have enough cabinetry and storage for a single man. And most days I feel like I’m waking up in a 5-star hotel suite in Downtown Nashville. (…which can cost $400/night) In all honesty… I chose Kenect for the people. And I’m getting every penny worth what I pay for it. From the staff, to the residents to the community and visitors our neighborhood attracts. There is so much goodness crammed into this amazing structure at the entrance of Midtown. Come Kenect with us!

Carroll Van Hook and her team produced a gorgeous event, in the lobby, screening my husband’s film “Little Town”. The space is so artistic, welcoming and functional. We recommend having your next event here and checking out the living accommodations for corporate travelers, young professionals and short term renters! The pool and rooftop are dreamy as well. It’s truly a place to Kenect. Thank you!

Yelp
beautiful apartment complex and studio! In addition, they have a huge coworking space to get work done and a pet run. The parking garage is a bit narrow at times but not a huge issue - you get used to it! Staff is very friendly.

Yelp
Out of all my time in the past year living here, it has been nothing short of a community and a safe place here at kenect Nashville!

Yelp
Horrific! The maintenance man Ray who lives across the hall from me has been giving the master key fob to the half way house folks. When I addressed the issue with Ryan Nunn, the Executive Director...he told me that I was "Judging" Rays guests by their appearance and the clothes they wear! I was absolutely blown away! No. I was addressing my concerns that a Kenect employee, the maintenance supervisor in my building is giving away the master key fob to people who do not live here! WHY TF am I paying $2160 per month when Rays just letting the junkies in for free?! Ya, I want the half way house free room discount! I didn't realize that I was paying high rent to fund a "Halfway House Refugee Camp!" If I wanted to live in an unsafe environment, I would live back on 16th and Buchanan! As a MST Woman Veteran, I was sold on the safety of the building. As well as "Quality of Life!" How can I have quality of life when I'm being harassed by the maintenance man who the executive director of Akra management is protecting? I definitely could take my money somewhere else, but I shouldn't have to. I've paid my dues. I'm just trying to live my best life and be the best grandma and mom that I can be. And now I'm being strong armed so they can protect their precious maintenance guy?! One resident stood up for him and said that he was actually one of the better maintenance guys that they've had so I guess he gets a free pass?! So I guess Ray, Jason, and Ryan get to be cool with housing all the halfway house people. And Ray just can continue to harass me and try to get into my room at 1 o'clock in the morning. I definitely want my money back and I wish I would've taken my money elsewhere. He confronted just now on the 7th floor lobby. I was terrified! This place is NOT SAFE!

Yelp
Excellent Location, beautiful views & friendliest staff!! Faith helped me resolve an issue quickly & effectively guided me into the right direction. So grateful to finally receive adequate customer service these days-definitely did not go unnoticed! Thank you kenect, and thank you Faith!!

Yelp
This place is a complete scam. Nothing works. My friend has lived here for a year and everything has broken. Every time I talk to her, a new thing has broken. It is completely insane to me that they haven't offered her a way out of her lease, or a break in the rent, especially since they have openly admitted that these things are broken. She has not had the following things for one year: --no working air conditioner (it is currently over 80 degrees in here, as we lie sweating in her apartment) --the bed has not worked in a year -- it will not rise up or down, which is pretty important in a studio apartment, where the bed takes up basically the entire space of the apartment if it is stuck down --during winter, the heater broke. I guess that's better than having the AC broken, as it currently is --the fridge broke and when my friend went out of town for only a few days, she had to throw away all of her food --she locked herself out of her apartment (her fault) and we had to wait for 45 minutes before anyone would let us in

Yelp
I was a resident of Kenect Nashville and overall during the time I lived there it was nice location with cement living quarters loud noises and what has now become a nightmare dealing with the management and ownership. I have been waiting since October when my lease ended to receive my deposit back from the company which they have kept telling me was "In the mail". They owe me several thousand dollars and I finally had to take them to civil court where they didn't even bother showing up and now have a judgment against them. I notified the property Manager Andrew Klahn and when asking for this to be taken care of was hung up on. I sent a follow up email to him and the CEO of Akara Partners, the ownership of Kenect, Rajen Shastri to which neither has responded. The pure lack of professionalism and complete avoidance of the issue even after being ordered by the court to pay the amount plus interest and court fees shows the type of company and leadership at Kenect and how they treat their residents. You can look up the court info to prove what im stating. I would not enter into any lease agreement with Kenect or Akara Partners.

Yelp
The amenities are great but you're only allowed 2 guests per lease or you have to pay to rent any public space. Guests have to pay for parking as well. Management frequently changes their mind on policies and has some of the literal worst communication of changes. Sometimes going as far as passive aggressive measures before ever receiving direct communication about them. We've had the water be turned off for emergencies and not been communicated with about what's happened or timeline/any solutions until 6-8 hours after the incident has occurred. The concierge staff is wonderful. The leasing office has some executives and agents with the worst customer service skills who don't seem to genuinely care about the residents. The after hours number is a service that is basically the equivalent of putting a post it note on someone's desk. Hard to get genuine help from 11 PM - 7 AM or even on a holiday (like when we lost water during Labor Day and no one was working so they didn't communicate with us about it). I expect WAY more for the prices they ask people to pay. Do not recommend living here.

Yelp
Kenect is the ghetto. I've been living at Kenect for months now and by month 2, I begin to notice some major problems. On several occasions, the water has been out in the entire building. Plumbing issues are the norm. On at least one occasion that I'm aware of the lower level floors have flooded. Constantly having no water at an apartment complex promoted as luxury is not worth it especially when the water goes out during holidays when staff members are off. I believe that there are some major flaws with piping and water pressure throughout the building. The elevator is unreliable. When it isn't broken (a pain if you live on the upper floors), it takes FOREVER to come. It can take up to 15-20 minutes for an elevator during the morning, lunch, and evening rush so plan accordingly. Everyone complains and there are promises that things will be made right to no avail. HVAC unit. When I moved in, my HVAC unit went out within a few days. For months, maintenance showed up, said they fixed the issue, and it would break again within the hour. I'd put in another request and maintenance would eventually come and the cycle would continue. Often times, I'm blamed for breakdowns in the building instead of solutions being found to resolve the issues quickly. I requested that an HVAC repair tech come out to analyze the problem. It took some convincing and a lot of back and forth but eventually I was able to advocate for a tech to come out. The back and forth was an inconvenience and the temperature in my apartment easily reached 95+ during the summer. The HVAC repair tech stated that the entire unit needed to be replaced because there were holes in the back of it. Needless to say, I spent the first few months in my apartment with no properly functioning heating and air, elevator issues, plumbing issues, tv not working properly, etc. The time that it has taken to fix these ongoing issues, I'll never get back. The suffering that I've experienced living in the conditions are not luxury. Things consistently break down in the building and in my apartment. When I first made staff aware of the HVAC problems, I was told that if I kept my blinds closed it wouldn't be so hot in my apartment. Kenect is promoted as a luxury apartment in a great location but really it's just the ghetto with pretty furniture. If you are considering moving to Kenect or purchasing a membership to the co-working space, reconsider because it's not worth the inconvenience. SN: Most of the positive reviews are false. It seems that a lot of effort is being made to boost the rating on google but not to fix the actual problems in the building. The best way to make these problems right with residents is through rent concessions. If the problems are made right, I'll update my review at a later date with how it has been addressed or made right. As of now, most concerns about issues is met with aggression by the admins in the leasing the office.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about Kenect! As someone in a startup I was looking for something in a good location to network and be able to walk to a social scene. I was also looking for somewhere with a gym so I could get into a solid routine without leaving the building. All of my boxes have been checked and some! The co-working space is perfect for long working sessions and meeting other professionals. The gym is more than adequate and pairs nicely with the pool with a book. The location is awesome! A great bar scene right outside and just a short jog to DT Broadway. The staff have been beyond awesome. To start, Ryan was super patient answering all my questions when I called to ask about the place and logistics with the lease. When I arrived on site he was just as attentive and friendly. He answered every question I had over multiple days, no matter how simple or complicated, he did so with enthusiasm and a smile. I even asked about the possibility of starting a dance class to add to the onsite activities and he gave instant feedback and passed along my proposal to the events team. In general, he seems to know everyone's name and goes out of his way to brighten their day with an insightful question or thoughtful comment. It feels great to have someone like Ryan on the team. Ken is super as well. I see him quite often on the elevators and there's always a friendly conversation. I made a recommendation for some rolling whiteboards and he immediately elevated the request and was more than helpful and accommodating. On another occasion, I was working late in the co-working space and had a big win with my team on a remote call. The space was quite empty at the time so I had to do a bit of solo happy dance, but honestly just wanted to give someone a high-five, anyone. Then as if my wish were heard, somehow Ken walked down the hallway and I gave him a nice crisp high-five. He was stoked with me for a brief moment but it made all the difference. Another time, I was working on the second floor and the sun started glaring into the window in front of me just at the right angle to put a heavy glare. Ken noticed immediately and adjusted the shades remotely, again as if my wishes were heard. Michael is the man! I showed up a couple weeks early before my move-in date to check out the place and scope it for furniture. Even though I already signed everything, Michael gave me a tour like he was selling the place. It was awesome and he got me super excited to move in. He showed me a sample room, told me his story about music writing and illustrated how awesome the view is from the rooms when the sunset shines over Vanderbilt in the distance. Since living here, Michael has been great on several occasions. There was a time in the co-working space where the staff needed to move a bunch of desks and I was pretty well set up at one of these desks. Michael made arrangements to move the desk I was working at on a later date to ensure I stayed in the groove. Another evening while I was at the gym, I observed Michael giving someone pointers on the heavy bag and overall bringing great vibes to the atmosphere. Kate was awesome during the taco party for a Mayweather boxing class promo event. She went above and beyond to make sure the details were right from the catering to the pop-up bar. I'm excited to be around for more events from this team! Speaking of Mayweather Boxing - Alex was the one at the promo event and invited anyone interested to a free class. The class was dope! The lighting, vibes, the equipment and coaching - highly recommend to anyone looking for an engaging aerobic class! The other staff have been awesome as well in brief encounters - looking forward to getting to know all of them better as they seem to be an awesome team! All in all, Kenect is exactly what I'd hoped it to be so far - the room, the amenities, the staff, the location. Looking forward to putting the hours into this place and getting more immersed into the community!

Yelp
Buyer beware of the ridiculous lease terms. Co-signed a lease for my daughter during her 1-year internship at Vanderbilt. The lease says it becomes a month-to-month lease after a year with 60 days required notice, which is great because she doesn't know where she will get a job once her internship is done in August (8 months from now). Just learned that if she wants to take advantage of the "month to month" lease without signing for another year, they plan to charge her a "premium" of $500 per month (on a $1545 per month apartment). They are totally pressuring her to re-sign for a year - when her lease is not up for another 8 months. Total pressure and scare tactics. No one in the leasing office has an answer to anything. Just constant wheeling and dealing to try to get you to commit to another 1 year lease, ie, "we don't know how much your rent is going to go up. It depends on how things are at that time". How do these companies get away with doing business like this?
