"Imoto, an Asian eatery by Kent and Tracy Rathbun, blends Asian cuisines with an emphasis on Thai food. Chef Jennifer Newbold will lead the kitchen, and former Nobu sushi chef Jimmy Duke will helm the sushi bar. The restaurant aims to provide an exotic dining experience. Imoto marks Kent Rathbun's return to the Dallas restaurant scene after a prolonged legal battle." - Amy McCarthy

This place is expensive and the sushi isn't exactly the best. I like the atmosphere and being so close to American Airlines center is convenient. It's been here for years and I don't understand how to be honest. The food is average and the drinks are almost the price you would pay at a dallas mavericks game. With so many other options for sushi it's hard to recommend Kenichi but I guess you have to try it at least 1 time.

I've eaten here a few times. The one in Austin is amazing. We went this past Saturday and was very disappointed. What happened to the sushi EXPERIENCE? The restaurant was empty, and the sushi bar had a heavy fishy smell. There were 3 sushi chefs. Not only were we not greeted by any of them, but not one of them made eye contact for 20 minutes. When I finally got the attention of one of them, I was given attitude. The fish was not bad, but the experience is what led us to get two dishes and leave. This place has potential. They are not living up to it.

Terrific experience for our Anniversary dinner date. The staff went over and above to make us feel like a VIP. As good as the sushi was we really enjoyed the steak as well. Ask for Anthony as your server. He had excellent recommendations on cocktails and menu items.

One of the top Sushi restaurants in the entire Dallas area. Expect more then just delicious rolls, they also have a selection of other delicious menu items that I highly recommend trying to make your sushi experience more unique. In addition to their amazing food you can expect excellent customer service from their servers and wait staff.

Has a nice ambient atmosphere. Drinks are pretty good and the food is delicious. Wouldn't recommend the lamb though. Came in very small portions and had no flavor. The Mussels were delicious.

Terrible. The fish was tough, the drinks ($12 drinks) were super weak. The waiter forgot half the order. We ordered hot sake, it came cold. When the bill came, the sake was $25!! We were there for a solid 2 hours, and most of that was just waiting. Just waiting, for service, for drinks, for food. I should also say, there were maybe 2 or 3 tables with customers. No reason to wait. We go out for sushi all the time, and this was, by far, the worst experience I've ever had. UPDATE: I paid the bill with my debit card. I left a $5 tip, because the service was terrible (TERRIBLE). When i checked my bank account later, the waiter had turned that 5 into a 15!!! Awesome! One more reason to never go back.

Incredible service!? No. Is the food great? For the price, NO! What about the Location? Terrible, I don't like the way Dallas is transforming sorta into New York, I could've just stayed in New York, parking is a nightmare in this town, especially in this area. Are the staff friendly!? Hell No! Recap: Bad service, overpriced small portions of food that could starve a mouse; the location is horrible, and the staff are a joke, totally unprofessional. Never again will I ever come back, even if somebody else was paying.

I have not been to Kenichi in years and it is nice to see an old retail location still open at Victory Park. The menu has remained the same and should because it fits the bill. The staff was quick to serve and the drinks were great. The food was pretty good overall. The ambiance is nice for the area and the crowd was a really nice mix of people. The parking situation at Victory park is not that great and the valet is a bit confusing at the front of Kenichi.
