Food is fantastic, location is convenient, atmosphere is clean and open and pretty quiet when we were there. There's also outdoor seating available. I got the Carnivore, which was SUPER GOOD and also SUPER HUGE... so don't get it unless you are very hungry or want leftovers. I had it for lunch and basically only needed a small late dinner that night. Otherwise they've got plenty of other menu items that I'm sure are great. Can't go wrong with a burger or pulled pork. Oh, did I mention the fries are SUPERB?! Don't miss out on the fries. It's worth noting that the kids menu cheeseburger is a full sized burger. Far bigger than our 2 year old needed, probably something a 7+ year old might eat. Had we known, we likely would have just had him share with us as it was a lot of extra food and we were so full from our own food that we had to let it go to waste. So sad letting a great burger go to waste!

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Kenny Rays and I was very impressed with the food and service. I started my meal with the Country Fried Steak, which was perfectly cooked and served with a portion of mashed potatoes and vegetables. For dessert, I had the Cookies and Cream Pie, which was delicious. The service at Kenny Rays was excellent. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and she made sure that our drinks were always full. Overall, I had a great dining experience at Kenny Rays. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Panguitch.

Google
Great meals today. We brought 1/2 of our meals home for dinner. Patty Melt was cooked to perfection and a 'proper patty melt'.... GREAT FRENCH FRIES. Hubby had Hot Roast which he said was amazing as well. Well worth the price and large servings.

We were here for dinner on 6.08.20. Stacey was our server. For starters this is a very small town, Panguitch Utah. It’s beyond disappointing that the townspeople aren’t supporting there neighborhood eateries as they use to just a couple months ago. Your choices of places to eat are very few. This place was extremely clean, very spacious with a decent menu and excellent pricing. We ordered the shredded roast beef with mashed potatoes which was served in huge portions and was delicious. The cheese burger with grilled onions was a bit tough. But, when we are back in this area we will definitely be returning here for the roast beef. Our server Stacey was attentive, friendly and mindful. Although it was a quiet night she didn’t rush us out the door and she didn’t forget we were there. She gave us ideas of things to do and she most definitely is proud of her hometown,Panguitch. Of the very few places to eat in this tiny tiny town, I believe this would be your best choice.

Google
My wife and I ate here today. I had a Carnivore Burger & Fries , my wife had a Fish Sandwich & Fries. Both meals were great. Very friendly staff and as well hard working. The place was nice and clean , and so were the restrooms. If I could make one suggestion it would be to put a clothes hook on the bathroom stall door.

Google
This place has some incredible home style cooking food. I had a fantastic Burger that was big and tasted so good! The fries and onion rings are super good!! The pie is delicious and well worth getting a slice. Highly recommended fun little spot for food.

Google
This is one of the most disappointing looking meals I have had in a long time. It honestly reminds me of something Gordon Ramsay would pick apart in Kitchen Nightmares. I know it's a small town, but it would have been nice if the chef actually tried harder than this. And if this is the bar for dining that is set for people in this town, you may as well just go to St George or Kanab instead. And by the way, this bison burger was $18. And it tasted as gross as it looks. The waitress was doing her best on a full night, but they need more wait staff. For the people who gave this place five stars, they must have either been famished or high. I literally could have had better quality food at Wendy's or Burger King.

Google
A solid three star restaurant. And no, that’s not a compliment. The staff was great, really and truly, and definitely doing their best despite being spread a bit thin. For that I blame the owners, trying to skate on by with the least amount of overhead possible for maximum profitability. Let’s be brutally honest here; owning a restaurant isn’t about running a top notch restaurant. It’s about making money. And when your goal is to make money, you compromise on quality. And that’s the story here. Bare bones front of house staff, frozen veggies, burger patties cooked to shit with no option of medium or medium rare, 90% of their beer options are “out,” busted doors and paper towel dispensers in the bathroom, etc. It’s a good place to eat by Panguitch standards. But with minimal competition it’s easy to cut corners and half-ass your restaurant into mediocrity. Better to dine at the cowboy bbq joint across the street, but only just.

Yelp
We were in town on a fairly busy evening. The staff was able to seat us immediately and was extremely friendly and attentive. Our table of 4 ordered steaks (two ribeyes, one filet, one sirloin) and they were probably the best steaks we have collectively ever had in a restaurant. I could go on, but definitely can't recommend this place enough if you are in the area. Call ahead if you go, they were turning tables over the entire time we were there!

Yelp
Was looking for a good place for breakfast and found this place. Our server Brevon (I hoped I spelled that right) was excellent he was very cheerful and bright and on top of things. I got the Denver Omelet, hash browns and several choices of toast. I chose rye bread. I also got a whole order of biscuits and gravy and split it with my SIL. I enjoyed my omelet is was cooked through, wasn't runny nor was it overcooked. It was literally and fluffy which was a good thing because the whole order of biscuits and gravy was huge. It came with four biscuits and plenty of sausage gravy. My companions had French toast which they said the French toast was good and there was plenty of it. They were very complimentary of our server. The coffee I had was the best I've had this week on vacation. It was not bitter and very smooth. When you enter the restaurant there is a huge family portrait of the family all decked out in western wear. You feel like you're having breakfast with the family as friendly as every one was. Would definitely recommend it for breakfast. As clean as the place is and the quality of the breakfast I would assume that lunch and dinner would be just as good.

Yelp
I have never left a bad review for anyone, but this was totality unexpected. We got our seat just fine and were served our drinks, mine a soft drink and my wife a glass of wine. My wife ask about the soup and our waitress (the owner) said she did not know but would find out. A while later she came back to get our order and my wife again asked about the soup and was told they had a chicken/rice and a gumbo, but did not know what kind of gumbo it was. We ordered a quesadilla to split. At that point my wife ordered another wine and was told they could not legally serve her another wine because she had not ordered an entree according to state law. She had previously told us the order would be for my wife so that she could let her have the first drink, but that suddenly changed. I requested our ticket to cash out in order to go elsewhere. I was then told my quesadilla was already made and ready to serve and I said that was fine I would pay for it to get my check. A few minutes later she came back and said " they made it wrong so I owed nothing and could go elsewhere ". I said I wanted to pay for the drinks anyway , which I did, and we left. I found it very strange that "the Owner " would treat any one that way and not know what her establishment had for it daily soups. I can not comment on the food, because, we didn't have any.

Yelp
This establishment in Downtown Panguitch is a good place for a standard American-style meal. It is rather easy to locate on the Northeast end of the main downtown strip. Street parking is relatively easy to find. We visited on a busy Saturday night around 7:30 PM. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, which was not very surprising. The dining room is decent-sized, but the capacity is not huge. It can fill up on busy nights. The interior is pleasant enough, though not elegant. It's definitely oriented toward casual dining. The menu offers a few favorites at OK prices by today's standards. If you're up for things like chicken, fish or steak, this is a good bet. Our server attended to us quickly after we were seated and did a good job throughout our stay. My wife tried the Sirloin Steak with a Baked Yam and Asparagus as her sides. I had Smoked Turkey with Sweet Potato Fries and Coleslaw. Everything was tasty. The availability of the baked yam was a particularly nice touch. The final cost was about $27 per person with food, drinks, tax and tip. All things considered, while this is a solid place for a good dinner, the price tag ends up being a little higher than I'd expect for what it is. It borders on a 4.5-star place, but I cannot justify in comparison giving it five stars. I'm settling on a strong 4-star rating and that feels about right. If you're in town and enjoy the type of fare they offer, it's a good choice.

Yelp
Good choice of food and reasonable price , smoked meat are very flavorful, highly recommended

Yelp
We've been on the road for ten days eating out everyday and this was the most decent meal I've had along the way. I had the smoked beef sandwich with broccolini and it was delicious! Great service and setting as well! 5 stars all the way!
google avatar

Damiano D.

Yelp
Hospitality and great atmosphere in this place. Lesa was great, gentle, friendly and very helpful giving us suggestions on the food available from the menu. The soup was delicious and my meal wonderful. If I'll be in the area in the future I will definitely stop by. Highly recommended!

Yelp
After a long day hiking in Bryce Canyon, Cowboy's Smokehouse really hit the spot. I ordered takeout (beef platter, mashed potatoes with gravy and fresh vegetables as my chosen sides). The beef had a nice smoky flavor, the mashed potatoes with gravy were creamy and comforting, and the broccolini was fresh and simple but a great balance to the meal. The portions were filling, the hostess was friendly, and it was exactly what I was looking for after a day on the trails.

Yelp
After a day of hiking in Bryce canyon, of course we were hungry and were staying by Panguitch. Limited options since it was February and it's considered their off season. The inside is nice of course with a Western theme. The menu had decent options and of course since we were hungry everything sounded somewhat good. Our waitress was nice and attentive so good service. There was just one other table when we arrived but more people showed up afterwards but nothing crazy. The food was good and hit the spot, not saying it was anything amazing but can't complain and it filled us up and a good portion for what we spent. Left there content and considering there wasn't many options available in town because it was also getting late. We were happy with this choice. Basically a safe bet if you are staying in or closer to panguitch.

Yelp
This is still one of our favorite restaurants. We came on a busy Tuesday night. Note: this is our first time since they moved to the larger venue across the street. I love the decor and the energy. I appreciate bench seating for the wait. Ours was only 10 minutes. We were seated in the booth that gave visibility to the events room. We got our orders in before a bus of tourists filled the event room. Bonus - a lovely 16-year old singer provided live entertainment and she was good. Our server Brevin was delightful but very much overworked. Here's the one bad experience. My husband asked for no seasoning in his steak. They brought it heavily seasoned and Brevin offered to have it redone. It took over 30 minutes. I was completely done with my meal. The Hubbs had already taken advantage of the salad bar so we packed his meal to go. Brevin did give us a discount on the meal due to the delay. Overall, dinner took a long time, but I guess that's the price for eating out in a tourist town. We still love the food and the local beer on tap was cold!

Yelp
Took a drive from Duck Creek to try this place out for Breakfast. Our server was very friendly and attentive. All I can say is we would definitely drive back for their bacon and biscuits. Delicious to say the least. There was nothing store bought about those 2 items! Only downside was the gravy was a little watery 4.5 stars over all

Yelp
Stayed in Panguitch for a few days as our home base to visit Bryce Canyon. It's a small Main Street so not many options for dining. We dined here for breakfast and dinner and had a wonderful experience both times. The restaurant was clean and service was great for breakfast. It was a little slow for dinner but they were absolutely slammed. Breakfast was great they have all the staples and good sized portions. For dinner we each had BBQ pork and the flavor was outstanding. If they have jalepeno poppers available you just order them - the best I've ever had!
google avatar

Daniela A.

Yelp
They don't allow take out orders. Opt to put your name on a list and reach out. In my case the employee said they would msg me and the wait was about 40 minutes. Well it's been way past 40 minutes and no message. They could have just said eat in or no service. Totally lame.
google avatar

Yelp
Service was very friendly our meal was huge we took left over with us home ribs were the best,I like indoor decoration

Yelp
Best New York strip ive ever had. Also the BBQ platter is going to be the best bang for your Buck in all west coast. beautiful hostess. - Simon Gonzalez

Yelp
Oh, if only I'd snapped some pics to immortalize the culinary crime scene that you rave so much about ! I smoke links, dry-rub ribs, and chicken like it's my day job, so I know how they're supposed to taste--spoiler alert : not like this. Don't come at me with that "moist chicken" nonsense; it was drier than a desert fossil. The ribs? Supposedly "fall-off-the-bone," but more like "crumble into sawdust." And those links? One side's jerky so tough it could star in an action flick, the other side's just plain parched. Hard pass, thanks.
google avatar

Jan W.

Yelp
I ordered the salmon, the salmon is good but the sides no so much. The broccoli is broccoli rabbs very salty and the baked yam tastes like it was boiled and very bland. No condiments were in my takeout other than a couple of lemon slices. My daughter ordered the cowboy gold star burger and fries and coleslaw. The burger was supposed to be medium well, it's not! The fries were tasty but again no condiments.

Sweetheart R.

Yelp
Just the friendly service I give this place a 10/10 everyone is SUPER nice, the place is so cute and clean.... The food is a bit different than what I'm used to but it was good. If you are in the area , definitely stop by
google avatar

Chelsea C.

Yelp
Cowboys is great if you're looking for a solid meal with big portions. I was thankful to find a good meal after a long day of driving. Our server was kind and the restaurant of the staff were friendly. The reason why I'm not giving a higher rating is because the restaurant it self didn't feel very cleanly to me which didn't make the experience as enjoyable as it could be.
google avatar

Natasha A.

Yelp
Tiff was very warm and hospitable, friendly service. We loved the chicken the most of the smoked meats. The beef and turkey were not as melt in your mouth or soft and tender. The yam, and sweet potato fries plus the green beans were great. Hard pass on the mashed potatoes and gravy, did not taste very good at all. The Blackberry cobbler was a nice end to the meal.
google avatar

Kaleb B.

Yelp
Cowboys Smokehouse really impressed us. The country fried steak was probably the best I've ever had, crispy, tender, and covered in a great-tasting gravy. My wife's burger was cooked perfectly and came with fresh toppings. Our friends had fries that were seasoned just right and not greasy at all. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. If you're passing through Panguitch or spending time at Panguitch Lake, I'd definitely recommend stopping by. Amazing food and a great small-town vibe.

Yelp
We were staying in Panguitch for the night so we could head to Bryce Canyon in the morning. We decided to check Yelp to see if there was anything nearby for dinner and found this place! Street parking was easy, staff were super friendly, the restaurant is family owned. I ordered the sirloin steak which came with two sides. I ended up getting the mashed potato with country gravy and cottage cheese. I also got myself a cup of loaded baked potato soup. Personally for me, I thought the food tasted okay. The steak was flavorful. The mashed potatoes wasn't... mashed enough for me and this was my first time trying country gravy and cottage cheese so I'm not too sure how I feel about it. The soup was also different from what I'm used too, it wasn't.. loaded enough for me personally but I still enjoyed it. If you pay with cash, you get a discount! Again, our server was super friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Holy Mosses Great Find! Kind of our halfway point between AZ and MT and needed a solid Linner! I chose the Ribeye rare and the salad bar and everything was pretty darn awesome. Our waitress was great and made some really good recommendations. On the return trip I'll make sure to hit them up again!
google avatar

JR D.

Yelp
Hands down the best food we've eaten on this trip. Highly recommend! We went around 4:30 pm but it was packed by the time we left around 6, so go early. We got the potato skins, wagyu burger, and the sausage platter and they were all delicious and the portions were large. We had to take half our meal to go. We also got the peach cobbler and it was perfection. Definitely the best place to eat in town with super kind staff!
google avatar

David H.

Yelp
The worst place i have ever been for some reason they are too overwhelmed to do take out orders with the most unfriendly dinner wait staff I have ever encountered
google avatar

Veronica L.

Yelp
Great steak dinner, Sirloin and Rib Eye With baked potato and fresh asparagus. Everything cooked perfect and served quickly. Super nice staff and a wonderful small town atmosphere.
google avatar

Marisa N.

Yelp
Some of the best meat and BBQ style food we've ever had. My husband and I both got the Wagyu burger and it was a hit. Flavorful and the bun was the perfect touch. When you walk in, you immediately know you're in a small town family restaurant. It's cozy and clean, but definitely fits the western theme of Southern Utah. Servers were hustling and our server was attentive and quick. All the meat is smoked and all our food was piping hot when brought to our table! Quality home cooked food!!
google avatar

Loren C.

Yelp
Went there for a group dinner, service was buffet style and good. The brisket and baked beans were pretty darn good, the peach cobbler and ice cream was excellent!
google avatar

Jane B.

Yelp
What a lovely restaurant with fantastic service and food. Our server, Paula, made excellent food and drink suggestions and gave premium service. We started out with complimentary rolls which were warm and came with butter. We then ordered sarsaparilla sodas and shared the combo dinner plate (sausage, pulled pork, ribs) which came with two sides. We finished with blackberry cobbler with vanilla bean ice cream. We hope to be in the area again so we can eat here again!
google avatar

Russell T.

Yelp
Food was *pretty good*. Prices fair. Portions adequate. The sandwich I had was dry (could have used a sauce of some kind) but the smoked turkey was very nicely cooked and flavorful. Service was great--very friendly and comfortable atmosphere.
google avatar

Cami A.

Yelp
The food is fantastic. I had Country Fried Steak - one of the best I've had. Then the bread pudding! Yum. Quick device and kind people!
google avatar

Karen B.

Yelp
Fantastic! Family orientation atmosphere with hard working individuals. The food was spectacular and service superb. Highly recommend.

Sherry L.

Yelp
The food was rather mediocre, and the service was unfriendly. I don't understand where all these high ratings come from?

Kaya S.

Yelp
The food was okay, I think I expected more. The meat was pretty dry, and didn't have a lot of flavor. I felt like we had to drown it in barbecue sauce. The cowboy bites were pretty good but the center of them were all cold so it wasn't my favorite. I think my favorite food item was their bread and butter. The people who worked there were pretty nice.

Fred S.

Yelp
Bbq was average to a little better, great server, country fried steak was good, gravy could have been better, limited dinner menu. Went for Philly that we read online but that's only for lunch. Salad bar small and pricey to add. For an area with not many options this is good. I would go again.
google avatar

Ron W.

Yelp
I consider myself an amateur pit master and have eaten BBQ in just about every state. Most times I leave thinking it's good, but I do better. When it comes to ribs, I've met my match! The ribs here were the best I've ever eaten and I've eaten more than my share of ribs at many famous BBQ restaurants and at home. Hands down, these were the best I've ever eaten! Cooked and seasoned to perfection. No sauce required as the flavor was amazing. I might have to drive back there again from Georgia just to eat these again. They were that good! I now know what ribs I need to make to make "the best ribs in the world!" It's a high bar to achieve!
google avatar

Nikki G.

Yelp
You guys! I have lived in the same city as this restaurant for over 20 years and have never eaten there. Today my mom brought me some to go lunch. Holy freaking goodness, this is literally THE BEST PHILLY I've EVER eaten. It was real steak chunks, not shredded beef. Loaded with veggies and on a ciabatta roll instead of a hoagie. I literally cannot explain how amazing it was. Also got sweet potato fries as a side and they were excellent. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Pam B.

Yelp
Service was fine. Ordered bbq chicken that turned out dry. Beans good, coleslaw didn't have great flavor. Daughter had salmon & sweet potato fries that were cooked good. Tried their pork that didn't have full flavor or tenderness. Small town but not many choices.
google avatar

Bob B.

Yelp
We live in Kansas City so we are used to barbecue. The barbecued meats here blow away anything from KC. The pulled pork was perfectly cooked and the smoked brisket was the best I've ever had. Most surprising were the sides. I got pinto beans that were heavily spiced and spiked with bits of meat, and mashed potatoes that were homemade and blessed with some brown gravy. My wife raved about the cole slaw. Our server, Paula, was excellent. A big place with plenty of seats, and it looks like they are set up for music on their front porch. Oh, and the sauce was balanced with vinegar and sweet. I took it easy on the bbq sauce--just wetted the meat--because I didn't want to cover up the flavor. That would be a mistake!

Hypertt T.

Yelp
Long journey, greeted by a great hostess (forgetting her name) beautiful young lady explained the history of the family owned business, had a full rack of ribs that were delish, tried potatoe skins there were ok, kinda dry should be served with sour cream or some kind dressing. There is bbq sauce on the table . Coleslaw was good as well. Decor does fit the cowboy theme and was clean I would recommend that you stop if cruising through Panguitch.
google avatar

Jeff S.

Yelp
Smells amazing in here! Food took a while. Cowboy Philly (ordered with no onions). It was great! Sweet potato fries were amazing! Best SPF I've ever had. Patty melt Was good, Regular fries were good too.
google avatar

Mitch P.

Yelp
We are staying at a bed & breakfast here and before checking in decided to have a late lunch. It was busy and Ralph, the owner, set up a table of 8 for us, which was really nice. We all loved our different meals, portions very large and prices very fair. Later in the day and the next day we saw lines outside waiting to get in and we totally understand why. Ralph, the owner, was very friendly and accommodating to all our various requests for food.

Wendy C.

Yelp
This place was highly recommended by locals, and it was busy on a Monday night. The ribs are delicious with a hint of rich smoky smell, but everything else is mediocre. The wagyu burger was quite disappointing. The whole thing was hard, and wagyu shouldn't taste like that. The chef salad with chicken was very mediocre and nothing special. I didn't find the portion to be as big as expected. The sides were very small. Fresh vegetables have three pieces of broccolini. Mash potato was very blend and has zero taste. Staff is friendly but not attentive and very forgetful. She had to be reminded multiple times for things we requested. Overall, I think this place is a good option in Panguitch as there aren't that many options out there. Food and service was just mediocre.
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
We stopped at the Cowboys Smokehouse Cafe after a visit to Bryce Canyon and it did not disappoint. Not only was the food delicious but the staff and service was wonderful. For an at home dining experience visit Cowboys Smokehouse cafe. You will not regret it!

Yelp
Amazing!!! First time here & will definitely be back! Pig tails appetizer is a MUST, chile verde actually had smoke & spice to it 10/10
google avatar

Yelp
Great food and great service. We would go back. The pulled pork was the real deal, tasty bun. Partner got something with mashed potato's and he really liked them.
google avatar

Michelle P.

Yelp
Pig Tails is a must!! The smoked meats were tasty and the bread pudding out of this world. Shout out to Robbie for teaching us how to say Panguitch.

Jose O.

Yelp
Restaurant owner accommodated a very hungry party of 12. BBQ ribs, brisket, pulled pork and chicken were cooked to perfection - kudos to the chef. The green beans, baked yam and other sides were generous and tasty. Staff was friendly as was the owner and chef. Memorable dining experience - will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Yelp
Staff is super helpful and kind. The pork is absolutely amazing. We had the quesadilla it was delicious!! Make sure and stop!
