Best crabs I've had this season! HUGE, full and delicious!! Had 4 left and got 4 big crab cakes from them!

Best tasting crabs. I always ask for extra JO seasoning they go ham on it lol their larges are full and big. Iv tried other spots but nothing competes. Only place I’ll get crabs from, been going here for 10 years

Crabs are always fresh hot and cooked right and on top of that,they have friendly costumer service !

It was my first time coming here today, I got large female crabs, and they were all cooked right, full of meat and eggs! My only nitpick is they needed a little more old bay on them. I will be most definitely returning for more crabs soon!

Our go-to for crabs in the 'Dena. They do a great job and have high standards - recently picked up a couple dozen Medium - the largest they had that day, and the family was impressed with the high quality of the crabs.

I been going to Kent Island for over 19 years. The service, staff and food has always been good. Kent Island definitely came in handy Mother's Day so I greatly appreciated them for that. Every where else long lines and you couldn't call in.

Bought 1 lb of claw meat & 1 lb of jumbo lump to make my crabcakes, the best tasting crabcakes I’ve made (no filler). We also bought their Maryland Crab Soup & a couple crab claw wooden hammers (so cute). The soup was great, not overwhelmed with spices & salt so you can taste the crab. Young man who served us was very nice & friendly. Prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Usually a pretty good experience. I'm not sure if the new tariffs have crab.Carry outs holding back on the beer and the old bay spice,when cooking our beloved crabs but the last two times I've gotten crabs from here it tasted like steamed fish with a little old bay on top., Please note if you are coming to.a Crab Carry out place in Maryland your customer is an avid crab-eater and will notice the difference .While the crab was of reasonable size, the experience was not top tier because it lacked flavorful spice and the sweetness that the beer adds to the crab. It was very obvious that old bay was sprinkled on top after the crab had steamed itself in water. Another tip***if you aren't going to use beer, use apple cider vinegar. But the water and steam combo is a wet fish with old bay. I wasn't too happy paying $70 dollars for crabs. To get wet fish. Otherwise my other experiences before this nonsense started.has been good.. L et's hope this was a one-time deal.

Nice staff, delicious seafood. Next time I'm in town, I'll visit again. I'm looking forward to using the scallops I froze for dinner.

We love to order from Kent island. They have pre made Maryland crab soup and cream of crab soup. We buy both and mix them together. They have crab pretzels in the freezer which are great for a snack later. Their crab meat is good with lots of chives from back fin to jumbo lump. They offer steamed corn in summer which makes it easy. They steam crabs pretty good we like the flavor. Service is good and ambiance is not an issue since it order to go! We have ordered their oysters and they're very fresh!

This is my husband's local, go to crab spot. They are take out only. We called today to check their stock and prices on crabs. The guy was super informative on the phone and we ended up placing an order for pickup as soon as possible. They also allow you to order for a future pick up time if desired. We ordered two dozen medium crabs and a dozen shrimp. Pick up was estimated at 25 minutes and the order was ready when they quoted. The prices aren't bad and I definitely recommend this spot for seafood.

An employee was Super helpful over the phone. Large heavy live crabs. Worth the drive!

I did not feel like sitting in traffic on 50-E to go to Annapolis or Kent Island for crabs. I looked around or other alternatives and this place popped up. The reviews online were favorable. I rolled the dice amd took a drive. Well worth the risk. The price per lb was far better than anything I had seen close to home. I bought crab soup and crabs. The staff was great. Crabs were very clean and seaoned well. The soup is everything you would expect from a Maryland crab soup. For less than a 40 minute ride from MoCo and the amount of crab received for the price, I could make this trip often. Bon Apetit.

Outstanding customer service! Went here a few days ago with my GF to get some crabs, crab legs, and clams. Staff was attentive, walked us thru options, and had our order ready in under the time promised. Food was excellent and seasoned well! The blue crabs were heavy and flavourful! My only disappointment is that they did not carry more sides as I would love to give them more business. Great job, looking forward to coming back soon.

Best steamed crabs I've had in many years. We have lived in the area for 9 summers and never gotten crabs to eat at home. So I was going blind off the yelp reviews of this place - so so so happy I did. The crabs were perfectly seasoned and heavy with meat. We got a mix of larges and mediums and it didn't even matter, every crab was worth the energy to pick. Highly recommend.

Crabs were full and delicious. Made my wife's 40th birthday. They did not disappoint. We live in Germantown Maryland and made the 50!minute drive to pick them up. The best crabs I have had in a while.

This was my first time ordering from this place. I stopped In and was greeted right upon entering the place. I ordered steamed shrimp and fresh corn that was cooked to order. I had to wait about ten minutes or so for everything to be ready. The process was pretty simple and the prices were reasonable with daily specials. I will definitely return and I have my eye on a mug for soup that I want to purchase. Overall good experience!

Got extra large crabs they were big heavy and very well seasoned. My order is always ready and always hot. They have the best crabmeat around.. and they always offer to pack it in ice for you. Along with perfectly steamed shrimp. This place is out of my way, but I would rather make the drive to get great food and friendly service. Thank you for NEVER disappointing.

This place is small, but from the sight of all that they offer, they sure are a great place to make sure to stop by and get seafood! Staff is friendly and very accommodating.

Had my heart set on some fresh crabs but that didn't happen!!! They we're old, tasteless, lukewarm , and clawless,out of all the crabs only 2 had claw's attached, a few was at the bottom but l threw them out with the crabs that we're dead on arrival. Never mind, l did see claws for sale per lb so l guess this is their way of making ends meet. In the meantime l will go back to Always Best where they're fresh, flavorful and HOT!!!

We just got the mixed females and were extremely disappointed. We didn't have 1 crab over 4 inches.

After being in pursuit of lump crab and fresh medium shrimp (WalMart, Food Lion, Weis...) I decided to yelp a seafood market and ran across this place. Initially I drove past it because of its size and close proximity to the corner/intersection it was very easy to pass up. I was the only customer at the time and upon entrance the male and younger female were very welcoming and helpful. We small talked about the holidays and this being my first visit which led to the male (possibly owner?) telling me about the business and how this may be the first time I will visit where there is no line.... he went on to talk about the freshness of the seafood, the local Maryland crabs, the fish from Texas and other information about where the seafood originated from. He recommended calling in orders on game days, holidays or if something special is needed to call and the may be able to fulfill the order by getting whats requested. There is a variety of options ready and available in the market both fresh, frozen and deveined shrimp of various sizes. Salmon, lobster, crawfish (when in season), alligator and more is also available. Will definitely try cooked/prepared lobster, alligator or crab in the near future to possibly update this review to 5 star.

The only place I go for crab legs! Good prices & they are delicious every time. Employees are friendly as well.

I didn't think to post my crabs this weekend. I had 1 Doz of Male Med and 1 Doz Male Small and they were both filling and tasteful. Every so often I am in Glen Burnie to visit my family I stop by to get some crabs and each time they are DELICIOUS. The customer service always welcoming and professional. I would recommend Kent Island Carb Company to anyone in the Glen Burnie/Pasadena area to support this business.

Best good and heavy crabs ever! They have even told me if they were running light! Friendly, honest establishment. They were one crab short of my order, told me and then reflected that on my bill! Who does that??? They do! Kudos!!! Worth the drive from Essex where I pass many other crab places!

Ordered 4 dozen mediums and they were excellent. Heavy and perfectly cooked and seasoned. Staff was super friendly and efficient. Worth the short drive from Arnold. Will definitely order again.

Great service! We always get crabs here when we are in town. The crab soup is lacking a little spice but the service and crabs are great.

I love these guys! You will always find a friendly staff and impeccable seafood! The last crabs we had (Large males in August) were HEAVY and perfectly seasoned! Every time I come back to MD to visit my family I make sure I stop by and order crabs from them. Support local and see what makes this place different! I've tried many crab places in Pasadena, including the "big guys" at Arundel Seafood and I have to say that solely based on the customer service I will choose Kent Island time and time again! We stopped for a dozen crabs on Wed Sept 25. Got medium males and had them steamed. The service was fast and though the mediums seemed a bit smaller than I expected they were good.

Just moved to Glen Burnie needed a new spot checked yelp for some help... and found this lovely Gem!!!... placed order... Three dozen male medium crabs yes they we're pricey but worth it!!!!... True to size medium crabs heavy full of fresh meat not one bad one in the bunch or over cooked I will definitely be back.

I ordered the 26.00 small males and asked if they were heavy and he said they were. He wasn't telli g a lie. I could only eat 4 of them. They were seasoned perfectly and jam packed full of meat. Thank you so much. It hit the spot. P. Doris

Bought 1-1/2 dozen medium crabs and 1lb of steamed shrimp. It was all excellent. The crabs were heavy and loaded with meat. Not one bad crab. The shrimp were right on time. I have never been disappointed with the quality of their food. I highly recommend this carry out

This is the absolute best place in MD for carry out crabs. Absolutely delicious and so much cheaper than other crab huts. Smalls? Yeah right. The smalls here are so full and would be considered medium to large in other places (I had one tonight that was HUGE and HEAVY!). The other seafood is great too! Steamers, oysters, shrimp, you name it. There are only 2 reasons this place did not get 6 stars: A) the cream of crab had potato in it (weird, but still good) B) Yelp only allows 5 Been coming here for years and will continue to do so. Love this place!

I use to say Kent island had the best crabs around. They were always fresh and hot. Steamed to perfection that is until this past summer up til now. It seems to me the crabs are presteamed and then reheated. Whatever it is, something has changed and it's not for the better. I don't think I'm going to spend my money there anymore. We got crabs tonight and they were terrible. Most of my guest said they tasted fishy and I'm positive not so fresh. They were also heavily seasoned. It's a shame because I usually buy there crabs a few times a week in the summer. I keep telling myself it's just an off day but the truth is it's become the norm.

Tried Kent Island crabs on a recommendation from a friend. I was not disappointed. We got a dozen Large males and 2 dozen spicy crawfish. The crabs were actually larges; all of them. No paper shells, no BS smediums. Only gripe would be to request more seasoning on crabs next time but that's more of a personal choice. Will be back for sure.

Regularly sells chowders that are expired and turned sour. I have complained and they have been aware of this issue for six months or more but the issue continues. Chowder is great when it is fresh...

Great tasting food this place never disappoints! This is definitely one of our family spots! My sisters from California love coming here when visiting Maryland. Food is always so tasty and fresh and staff is very welcoming and helpful. Our all time favorite is the steamed shrimp and crab legs mild flavor.

Fantastic crabs in the middle of winter! Now that says something for how fantastic they ought to be in the regular season. When our usual place was closed on Valentine's Day we sought out Kent Island for steamed crabs. Fully expecting small underweight crabs due to the time of the year we were extremely surprised at the high-quality reasonably priced crabs we received! The service was excellent ... From the clerk that took the order all the way through picking them up ready on time as requested. Kent Island crab company just became our new go to place for crabs!

We're are so lucky to have Kent Island Crab store right around the corner from our house. We pass by it every day and we've been getting crabs from them since 2008 and have always been satisfied with the quality of the crabs. The prices are very good especially when they have 2-3 dozens buy specials. The customer service is great as well.

The best crabs, hands down. Me and my family patronize them a LOT during the summer. I can go order my crabs, walk to 177 to get some cold beer, then come back and grab the crabs and enjoy them on my deck!

I finally found a decent, delicious and good quality crabs. I ordered bushels of crabs today. the employees were very nice over the phone and when I came to the store, they are very polite and they even lend me a hand to carry the bushels in to my car. Definitely coming back!

Never disappointed when I come here. Large crabs are always large and packed. They also have a great taste. This is my number one spot to get crabs.

As a habitual crab eater, Kent Island Crab Company delivers a premium product at a great price. I've caught my own crabs, purchased them off the docks, and bought from other local companies. Without a doubt, the best tasting crabs came from Kent Island. I'm glad I live within a short distance so that I can have crabs at a moments notice.

Steve and Gail always take great care of me at Kent Island. Crabs are the best value in Anne Arundel county. Always heavy and fairly priced.

We stopped here after a failed crabbing expedition to get some crab for lunch. When we were ordering the young men behind the counter were so helpful and they offered us a special which made our day! Their small crabs were not small in our book, in fact we barely finished the three dozen we got. We also got five pounds of shrimp. Everything was steamed and seasoned perfectly. While I live in Ellicott City, I will certainly make sure we get our crabs and shrimp from Kent Island.

Small friendly local. Decent though not extensive selection. The more exotic seafoods (alligator etc) are prepackaged but shrimp oysters crab are buy by the lb.

I'd rate it 6 stars if I could! I come to Kent Island very frequently and have NEVER had a poor experience. The staff is always very pleasant both over the phone and in person. The crabs and prices are reasonable and consistent. I recommend Kent Island to every person who is in need of great crabs.

This place is always been my goto place for like 10 years plus, it's has a reputation that word of mouth gets around and this how I know that my seafood is fresh and crabs are made to order. But last time the crabs are not that good however most of the time it's very good.

Worst crabs that I have ever got in my life. Half were paper shells and the other half had the green nasty mustard. Will never go there again.

I'm not familiar with the concept of crabs in a bag. When I moved down here, I needed to learn the ropes. These guys have really good prices for a dozen females. Definitely call ahead to make it worth your time.

A couple months ago I promised some out of town guests a Sunday afternoon crab feast. I called around for prices Sunday morning and Kent Island quoted me $54/dozen for large. I had them reserve 3 dozen. When I went to pick them up around 2:30 the price had mysteriously gone up to $68/dozen. They refused to honor their quote even when another customer said she had also been quoted $54 that morning. If I hadn't had a houseful of guests I would have left the crabs but with people waiting I paid their ransom. So be forewarned about these liars. The quote you receive may mean nothing.
