There Are a Lot of Quirky Henges Around the United States

"Kentucky’s Stonehenge is the creation of Munfordville native, Chester Fryer. After scouring over 1,000 acres of nearby Hatcher Valley, Fryer relocated nearly every large rock he could find in order to create his masterpiece. All of Fryer’s rock creations are on display on the grounds of his Munfordville estate. In addition to displays resembling the world famous Stonehenge, the estate is divided into several other rock displays including: Earth Mysteries, The Garden of Gethsemane, Rock Gardens, and Rock Park." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

The rock formations here are awesome. I love that this is private property and the owners allow visitors to enjoy it. If you go, please be respectful and consider donating so this beautiful site can continue to be shared with others. Highly recommend visiting.

If you want a guided tour, don't go. If you want to see something pretty cool that someone did on their property, definitely go. It's a beautiful drive and Munfordville is a hidden gem of a small town in Kentucky.

A very peaceful setting in the midst of a community! The site was pretty large. At the driveway there was a sign that said, “Private” so I didn’t want to get out and walk around, there was not an obvious place to park. Very cool to see Stonehenge in Kentucky!

I wish people would read the reviews before they left bad reviews. This family went out of their way to recreate Stonehenge and invite everyone to come see. You can park in their driveway, there is a sign. Admission is free but they do have a donation box. The place is very pretty and well maintained. As many have said, you can say that you have been to Stonehenge! I drove 45 minutes to see it, and I'm happy I did - that's just me, I'll drive 2 hours for a good pizza 😆. If you're in the area it's definitely worth a stop, but I wouldn't drive across country to see it.

We were not quite sure where to park so just stopped on the side of the road. Pretty cool. Loved the compass stone in the middle. Pretty, quaint setting but only something I’d stop for if I was already nearby. If you’re visiting Mammoth Cave then it’s a neat way to spend 10-15 mins. Looks well taken care of but that makes sense as it is private property.

Great roadside attraction! Be aware that this is in someone's private yard. It's free, but there is a donation box.

Visited on our way to Mammoth Cave. It’s a small attraction and you won’t spend more than 5 minutes. It’s on a private yard, so the owners accept donations.

Absolutely stunning. Was unable to walk the premises bc of time (closed to public after 5pm). From what I could see from the road and throughout the neighborhood, the structures are amazing.
