Dear Management,
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent experience at your restaurant. As one of the most recognized Ethiopian restaurants, I had high expectations. However, the overall experience did not reflect the reputation or the pricing.
First, the prices are not reasonable considering the quality of food and level of service provided. If customers are expected to pay premium prices, then the food quality and service should match that standard. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
Although I placed my order over the phone to avoid waiting, I still had to wait an excessive amount of time upon arrival. As a customer, I am spending both my time and my money, and it is frustrating to experience delays despite taking steps to prevent them.
What was most surprising was the Special Kitfo order. It comes with kocho, and when injera is requested instead, only half a portion of injera is provided yet it is still charged at the full regular price ($3), the same as other dishes that come with a full portion. When I asked the server for clarification, I was told it was because the special kitfo already includes kocho. However, the kocho itself was very sticky and unpleasant in texture. Charging full price for half a portion of injera in this situation does not seem fair or reasonable.
I understand that restaurants can be busy at times, and occasional delays are understandable. However, long waits combined with food that does not meet expectations make the experience very disappointing.
I respectfully suggest reviewing both your pricing structure and service standards. Customers who are paying significant amounts deserve good service and high-quality food.
