Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai

Another typical Shangri La hotel, stayed here for a conference at the higher floors. Breathtaking panoramic view of Shanghai from the room, clean and spacious , lots of usb ports and even a bar. Access to executive lounge as well until 11pm. The large gym on 4th floor also has an amazing view, over a dozen treadmills facing the view. Not operating 24 hours thought. Breakfast buffet service was a little crowded but lots of local and international choices - even a nice Swiss Bircher museli. Typical Shangri La hospitality . Close to subway. Big park next door good for running. Will visit again

Went here for my office trip. Overall, a good hotel to stay in. Positives and Negatives below - |Positives|1 - Very Close to expo center and other offices in Pudong ; also very close to Pundong park, which is an amazing park to go for a walk or sightseeing|2 - Its connected to a shopping mall, so you can walk straight into the shopping mall from the hotel and shop for your favourite brands|3 - Spacious rooms, well thoughtout design of the room also. both room and bathroom are spacious|4 - good buffet breakfast with an amazing spread. |5 - 2 other restaurants also present where i didnt go.||Negatives|1 - Far away from the tourist places - need atleast 30 min to go the Bund|2 - Receptionist do not know the meaning of customer friendliness. We waited at the reception for 2 hrs because we came earlier than the check in time. Seeing us sleeping at the chairs near the reception, they didnt bother to ask us how we were or offer us some water. |3 - Also, only 1 out of 5 people there at the reception and the information center could speak proper english.

It’s a little bit far from the city center but close to the airport and very peaceful. Nice place to relax. It’s connected to a department store and you can easily find something to eat and drink there. The room is really clean and cozy with very supportive English friendly hotel staffs.

The egg selection at The Cook has more than 8 varieties and you can have it cooked your way, too. The beef steak is a great addition. Aside from a broad selection of coffee, tea, juice, freshly prepared juice/shake can be requested. Fruit-infused and sparkling water also available. A plethora of both Western and Asian dishes with Vegan options as well. Salad, Bread and Dessert station has a lot of delectable options. The almond croissant in particular is delight! A Special thank you to Chef Abbott Zhang for specially preparing tasty shrimp fritters for me! Much appreciated! Aside from the hotel’s close proximity to SNIEC and Kerry Parkside Mall, my wonderful experience at THE COOK every single time make me stay and keep coming back to Kerry Hotel Pudong year after year!

I must say, the service quality exceeded all my expectations for our wedding anniversary celebration.||Special thanks to Alexander, the General Manager, who exemplifies what it means to lead by example with commitment to customer satisfaction, demonstrating a genuine interest in the guests' experience.||Thanks Sierra and Lynn, the Duty Managers’ friendly demeanor and professionalism. And also, Gary, the Manager at The Brew, ensured we enjoyed our meals and suggested some fantastic local brews that we wouldn't have tried otherwise. ||Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone lookina for a memorable journey and I look forward to my next stay at Kerry Pudong.

Extremely Happy we decided to go with this Hotel. Extremely convenient to get to the neighboring exhibition. Breakfast had a good variety of options. Check in was a breeze (Elio was very professional and answered all my questions). Also being connected to the shopping mall and subway made it a breeze to get around. Many options for going out to eat in that vicinity as well. Extremely pleased and can't wait to come again.

Exclusivity lost. Be aware that the gym facilities are shared with non in-house hotel guest that is not able to speak English and rudely speaks with hotel guests similar to interaction with people on the streets. People on the streets might be even more polite. Horrible! Signages or notices should be placed on the use of facilities to prevent guests from disturbing each others. Hotel guests typically do not bother one another, however, because the facilities is shared with locals, in-house guests can expect some disturbance from ill-mannered, rude and non-English speaking guest. This totally ruined the 4-star shangri-la experience. In-house hotel guests should not be disturbed, in general. Used the gym facilities in the morning and received blaberring, scolding or lecturing by a rude local chinese lady (which I am guessing is not a hotel guest) in a rude tone that kept talking in chinese. Morning totally ruined from a hotel which supposed to host business travellers from around the world due to its proximity near sniec. There was no notice by the hotel that the facilities cannot be used by in-house hotel guest when local classes were held. The manager explained that the facilities can be used by in-house guests, however, would you still want to continue using the facilities after having an ill-mannered lady that goes around scolding hotel guest in Chinese.

The hotel is nice even though its busy during exhibitions. Our stay was wonderful and the breakfast buffet was seamless, the connection between the hotel and the mall makes it convenient to do some shopping. The gym was fantastic.
