Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai

Booked 2 rooms for my family for one night and feel that this place has all the right things to be amazing, however it fell short.||Arrived around 12 noon and waited at Reception / check in for around 3 or 4 minutes. There were 2 staff both unwilling to check us in asking us to "please wait"....there were no other customers there so I don't know what was their priority here. When served it was unsmiling and miserable going through their duties but no more. ||One of the rooms had no safe. We called and asked, then we called again 20 mins later, then we visited Reception another 20 mins later. We were then told the safe had been broken and was to be replaced, however it needed to be later that day. Communication and response here was poor.||Rooms were overall comfortable and well appointed however the air con was clearly not properly switched on...it was merely circulating air so maybe it was a cost saving measure. Either way we all found sleeping very warm and this could have been better with proper air con.||On the plus side breakfast choice and quality is simply amazing. Genuinely incredible choice and quality.|| In addition the pool and gym area is outstanding, as is the kids club (reduced fee for guests). Very good to find these.||Checkout was fine. Andy was very helpful and kind. Much better than check in experience.||In summary, this hotel has everything to be amazing. Maybe we were unlucky. Maybe insufficient training is the cause for some of our issues....||As a footnote, we got a call 2 days after checking out to ask about the hotel shuttle bus. We explained that we had checked out 2 days prior and had no use for the hotel shuttle bus, therefore not really sure what the call was about. We got a brief apology and a suggestion of a "mix up"......frankly this last episode somewhat sums up Kerry Pudong Shanghai for us...we wanted to really love it but it fell short. We travel regularly and know what good looks like....this was not it.

Really nice hotel. Room service menu had plenty of choices (maybe a little more Western than Asian dishes). The gym was excellent, one of the best I have been to.

It was the perfect hotel for our family of 4. My kids aged 2 & 4 had so much fun at the indoor playground and the pool. They provided us an extra bed and a cot which meant we all had a bed each. Service was excellent! We’ve travelled a lot as a family and honestly this was one of the best ones.

Stayed there for a week and half during the work trip. Best location for foreigners, service was great. First 3 levels are shopping mall, plenty of good options for food. There is line #7 metro runs at the lower level, very convenient for traveling. Check in and checkout was super fast, concierge was great. Haven’t tried this buffet yet, because there are plenty of restaurant options to choose from.

Incredible family stay. The pool and kids zone were phenomenal. The staff were very welcoming and always helpful, location ideal and food selections were amazing. Being next to the mall and park were also great if you wanted to venture out for a bit. We will be going back very soon again.

Good experience. House keeping and frontline staff very helpful. Housekeeping staff asked us whether we gave enough Drinking water and the bell boy assist us to connect our credit card to didi app as we are foreigner, dont have local hp noOur group 7 pax participated the IE expo. We took breakfast in the hotel and the yogurt is delicious.

We spent two months in Shanghai, exploring various hotels,and our absolute favorite was the Kerry Hotel.|The hotel offer spacious room with stunning views. Across the street lies Century Park , one of Shanghai’s largest parks spanning 345 acres. It’s a treat to watch people jogging on the specially designed rubber track, covering a refreshing 5 kilometers. The park hosts|Various seasonal flower exhibitions, making the air exceptionally fresh.||The room at Kerry Hotel are neat and tidy , with courteous houses keeping staff always asking if there anything they can do for you.|Convenience is a key highlight, with the subway just below the hotel connecting to various parts of Shanghai. An 5 minutes drive away is|the Maglev train, taking only 8 minutes to reach Pudong international Airport for just 80RMB round trip.||Connected to the hotel is a shopping mall, supermarket, children’s toy and clothing stores, and a variety of restaurants offering both Eastern and Western cuisine.||The fitness facilities took us by surprise; the gym is well-equipped, facing a panoramic view. There’s an Olympia-sized swimming pool, |Tennis and basketball courts , and a play area for children.||The breakfast spread is rich with too many choices to count. The staff in all areas of the hotel are incredibly polite and always ready to answer your questions.

Stayed here for a 2 night weekend stay with our 3 year old daughter. The hotel and its facilities were perfect for us. Service and friendliness of all the employees was good and most of them spoke English.The kids play area is a great added value for this hotel as well as the swimming pool.
