Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai

We had a great stay at the Kerry Hotel Pudong in room 2604 with access to the Club lounge. ||The hotel staff were kind and professional from the moment we checked in on the 3rd floor until the moment we checked out. The staff in the Club lounge were fluent in Mandarin and English and most of the people we interacted with in other parts of the hotel spoke reasonably good English which is a plus for foreign travelers.||The room was clean and well maintained with comfortable seating and bedding as well as a large bathroom with a spacious tub and shower. The TV offered a variety of channels in China and across Asia with a few English channels. The view from the room looked out across Pudong with Puxi off in the distance. There was traffic in the streets outside the hotel, but the room was very quiet during the day and at night. ||The food in the Club lounge as well as in the hotel restaurants was quite good with a nice selection of western and Asian foods to choose from. There are a variety of shops and restaurants in the mall underneath the hotel and plenty more just a short subway ride away. ||The hotel is located on top of a shopping mall with direct access from the line 7 subway station. The hotel is 5 minutes (1 stop) away from Longyang Road Station with convenient transfers to the MagLev train that goes to the Pudong Airport as well as Line 2, 16 and 18 that will take you to other parts of the city. You can take line 2 to both airports as well but the subway takes considerably longer than the high-speed maglev train. There is a large park across the street from the hotel with a small lake, walking trails and access to the Science and Technology Museum which is interesting for adults and kids alike. The hotel is also right next to the Shanghai New International Expo Centre if you happen to be here for a trade show or convention. ||We will definitely stay at the hotel again and would recommend it for both leisure and business travelers.

We had a wonderful stay at the Kerry Hotel Shanghai Pudong. The location was perfect for us — right next to the ChinaCoat Exhibition — and the rooms were spacious, comfortable and well appointed. |We had requested an early check-in as we were preparing for a major event and the front desk team took great care of us. Mandy, in particular, was extremely helpful and managed to arrange our rooms quickly and we greatly appreciated that. |Service throughout the hotel was excellent. Breakfast offered a variety of options, and every staff member we encountered was polite, attentive, and eager to help. We definitely recommend the Kerry Hotel.

Has there been a better team of customer service that I have encountered? If there was, Shelley's team would have been one of the top teams.||||Myself and my family had enjoyed themselves tremendously in Shanghai and a huge part was Kerry Hotel and Ms Shelley's attention to details about my preferences. ||||From the moment we arrived, Mary and Carat's service was heartwarming and cheerful. Steven, Shirley, Nicole took turns to make us really comfortable and solve my coffee addiction, despite the crowd from the nearby exhibition centre. ||||Food wise at the Horizon Club was awesome. Chef Andersen Shi even took time to make me a bowl of noodles in the style of his hometown. Ms Wen, the sous chef from the main kitchen was very helpful in preparing the noodles for my children. ||||Ms Deng Hua Ling of housekeeping was immaculate with her service and every night we returned to a tidy little palace. ||||Such gestures from the staff could only be done with the heart. Thank you Kerry Hotel Pudong for such a lovely experience!

I chose your hotel for this business trip to Shanghai, and it turned out to be the right choice! You must write a review and praise, especially your front desk employee Irene! To be honest, those of us who often travel on business have a requirement for the hotel is "comfortable and worry-free". There is no mention of the location and hardware of your hotel. The transportation is convenient and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. But what makes me feel "worthy" is your service, especially the "home" feeling brought by Irene. I think I will come back again next time.

The Kerry Hotel is a very family-friendly place to stay. It offers extra beds, a child-friendly swimming pool, and an add-on soft play voucher for children. This was my children’s favourite part of the hotel! The breakfast has a large variety of international foods, and I loved that you can get a coffee to take away. The staff were very friendly and even offered us a late check-out.

I must say, the service quality exceeded all my expectations for our wedding anniversary celebration.||Special thanks to Alexander, the General Manager, who exemplifies what it means to lead by example with commitment to customer satisfaction, demonstrating a genuine interest in the guests' experience.||Thanks Sierra and Lynn, the Duty Managers’ friendly demeanor and professionalism. And also, Gary, the Manager at The Brew, ensured we enjoyed our meals and suggested some fantastic local brews that we wouldn't have tried otherwise. ||Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone lookina for a memorable journey and I look forward to my next stay at Kerry Pudong.

Exclusivity lost. Be aware that the gym facilities are shared with non in-house hotel guest that is not able to speak English and rudely speaks with hotel guests similar to interaction with people on the streets. People on the streets might be even more polite. Horrible! Signages or notices should be placed on the use of facilities to prevent guests from disturbing each others. Hotel guests typically do not bother one another, however, because the facilities is shared with locals, in-house guests can expect some disturbance from ill-mannered, rude and non-English speaking guest. This totally ruined the 4-star shangri-la experience. In-house hotel guests should not be disturbed, in general. Used the gym facilities in the morning and received blaberring, scolding or lecturing by a rude local chinese lady (which I am guessing is not a hotel guest) in a rude tone that kept talking in chinese. Morning totally ruined from a hotel which supposed to host business travellers from around the world due to its proximity near sniec. There was no notice by the hotel that the facilities cannot be used by in-house hotel guest when local classes were held. The manager explained that the facilities can be used by in-house guests, however, would you still want to continue using the facilities after having an ill-mannered lady that goes around scolding hotel guest in Chinese.

Extremely Happy we decided to go with this Hotel. Extremely convenient to get to the neighboring exhibition. Breakfast had a good variety of options. Check in was a breeze (Elio was very professional and answered all my questions). Also being connected to the shopping mall and subway made it a breeze to get around. Many options for going out to eat in that vicinity as well. Extremely pleased and can't wait to come again.
