Google
Kessler is a delicious homemade bakery with a warm, inviting atmosphere and a fantastic selection of fresh-baked goods. Their soft, generously sized cookies and brownies hit the spot every time. You'll also find unique treats like rice krispy squares, frozen cookie dough for baking at home, a variety of nuts, and plenty more to explore. With its clean, cozy vibe and wide variety, Kessler is a must-visit. Such a Dallas gem.

I don't know what took me so long to discover this happy place in Oak Cliff! I judged the cookie contest at the State Fair of Texas with one of the owners and we had a great discussion about Snickerdoodles - with or without Cream of Tartar? I had to stop by and find out for myself if they indeed could be better without this key ingredient. As someone who has judged a lot of baking contests at the State Fair of Texas, using the best ingredients makes all the difference. From the first bite, it was obvious that these cookies were made with the best ingredients available. Every cookie and brownie I tried was the best that I ever tasted, and that says a lot. And I bow to whomever came up with the Cream of Tartar free recipe for the Kessler Snickerdoodles - they were indeed divine. Loved the location, and adored the staff that made me feel like a regular on my first visit, and my second.... I will be a regular from now on, and I'm looking forward to these cookies being my new gift for clients!

Listen…if I could give Kessler Baking Studio a James Beard of 10-star reviews, I would. Clyde Greenhouse is not only a masterful pastry chef—he’s a warm-hearted, joy-bringing, community-loving baking legend tucked right into the heart of Oak Cliff. Every time I walk into Kessler Bakery, it feels like a hug from an old friend who just so happens to bake the best cookies in the galaxy. (And yes, I said galaxy. Not Dallas. Not Texas. The entire Milky Way.) Clyde pours his heart into every small batch, using organic ingredients you can actually pronounce—and you can taste the love in every bite. Whether it’s his iconic chocolate chip cookies, those mouthwatering chocolate brownies, or seasonal specials that could make you weep with joy—he’s serving more than baked goods. He’s serving soul food for your sweet tooth. And it’s not just the pastries—it’s the purpose. Clyde treats his staff with the utmost respect and care, makes every customer feel like a VIP, and constantly gives back to the community. He’s proof that kindness, craft, and community can coexist in the same space (and taste amazing doing it). So if you’re in Oak Cliff—or honestly, within driving distance of Dallas—do yourself a favor: go meet Clyde, get a box of joy, and prepare to fall in love with cookies all over again. My FAV is the Spicy Hot Chocolate (seasonal) and the Oak Cliff Ranger! Kessler Baking Studio isn’t just a bakery—it’s a whole vibe. Clyde, we love you. Keep rising, star!💫 🍪

Not only is the food delicious, but the vibe and customer service were phenomenal as well! We tried the Kessler-doodle, the peanut butter cookie, and the cinnamon rolls. My favorite were the cinnamon rolls! They were soft, packed with cream cheese frosting, and had a taffy-like chewy syrup at the bottom that tastes amazing if you have a big sweet tooth. Although I wish the peanut butter cookie was a bit softer, I really enjoyed the flavor and the inclusion of peanuts in the cookie. The snickerdoodle was softer than the peanut butter cookie and tasted good as well!

From the moment we stepped into the bakery to the moment we left we had a wonderful experience… from being greeted by delicious smells to the most enthusiastic and warm employees helping us! We tried so many different baked goods and walked out with 14 cookies! Absolutely couldn’t narrow our choices down and every single thing we purchased was a delight! Truly! 10/10… we will be back!

Google
Great baked goods shop in Oak Cliff. On Beckly, between Colorado and Zang, near Methodist Hospital. Enjoy your treats on the front porch tables or in the side yard of the old house. You can even wander down to Lake Cliff Park. I went for the chocolate covered coconut macarons. My wife likes the carrot cake. They were delicious.

Google
This is one of, if not my favorite, bakeries ever! The service is one of the best I have ever experienced, and every staff member I have encountered has the most infectious, positive personality. Their pastries are to die for. My favorites are the cinnamon roll, Nutella poptart, and the bacon egg and cheese biscuit. Their baked goods aren’t too sweet. I highly recommend ordering ahead of time as some of these more popular items sell out. These also hold up very well in the fridge or the freezer btw. I make it a point to visit them everytime I’m in Dallas!

Google
Kessler Bakery isn't just a bakery; it's an hometown experience. If you're searching for the best desserts in town with amazing customer service, you have found the place. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the irresistible aroma of freshly baked goods and a warm, welcoming smile. They will go out of their way to make you feel at home. Oh, i didn’t forget above the desserts. Simply delightful. Each item is baked with high-quality ingredients, resulting in flavors and textures that are truly unmatched. I have heard it over and over again. Now It's clear Kessler Bakery stands out to me as one of the absolute best places for me to satisfy my sweet tooth!

Yelp
BAIT AND SWITCH. I was pleased with the Kessler cookies I purchased while visiting Dallas. So much so that when I returned back to Oklahoma I ordered a dozen via mail. For 12 cookies I paid $64.90 (no charge for shipping) which was a splurge and an indulgence. HOWEVER, upon arrival, the cookies were 1/3 the size of the ones sold at the store. See pics. I NEVER would have paid such an exorbitant price ($64.90) for 12 miniature sized cookies. I called the store to speak with the owner Clyde on a Saturday. I was told he wasn't in at the moment so I left a message. Because I didn't hear back, I called the next day and spoke briefly with Clyde. I barely had a chance to introduce myself and state the issue before he interrupted me and blamed everything on the shipping service he uses called Goldbelly. He then immediately put me on hold because he said he had a customer in the store. I happily agreed to wait for him. Then suddenly I heard someone pick up the phone then hang up on me. I was surprised but thought he would call me back since I introduced myself and he has all of my contact information which he used to sign me up for text notifications (without my permission). The whole call registered at 1 minute on my caller ID, I've been waiting about half an hour, and I haven't heard back. Update: he called me back, was extremely rude with a nasty attitude, took no responsibility, blamed the phone hang up on his phone system, blamed the size disparity on Goldbelly, and condescendingly and loudly lectured me as if I were the problem. I was a customer with nothing but nice things to say but his treatment of me was unfair, hostile, abusive, and unacceptable.

Yelp
This is my third time trying their cookies. I use an app called too good to go and basically the food form different shops and restaurants that will be thrown out get bagged and you get to try items for a discount. So the bags are usually $5.99 for like 8 big cookies. This time I got a pecan muffin, oatmeal cream cookie sandwich and a variety of fall flavored cookies of 7. So I got 9 different cookies/ baked goods from their menu. Each cookie I have had I loved it, they are fresh, you can taste they are homemade and the owner is always really nice. I will be buying a group order to take home to Houston with me for the holidays!

Yelp
This bakery is such a gem! Great quality, made fresh, and so moist and gooey! They go the extra mile by churning their own butter! You can grab a cookie from the jar or any packaged goods or frozen cookie dough. I love giving myself a treat by coming here!

Yelp
The baked goods are amazing, I love the brownies, the cookies are yummy. Please be advised once you tried this place you won't be able to stay away, you have been warned! The services is top notch everyone is super friendly and eager to help. The place smells like baked goods and will awaken a hunger for baked goods and have you getting all kind of goodies hope you have a good dentist and good gym membership you gonna need it.

Yelp
I can't believe we have been missing out! I rarely take Beckley from the Methodist Dallas Medical Center complex to my home after appointments. It seems like there's been construction for YEARS. But with that over, at least for now, I SAW you today. A sweets goods bakery! Amazing. First let me address the parking. Unless you bike or walk here; there's an alley parking lot or several well marked curbside spots for call in orders. Then you hike around the house to the front. Also, I didn't see a handicapped access. There is a back door; but it's not marked in any way for access and the front is all steep steps. They do deliver, however, and of course, there's curbside pickup. So Kessler Baking Studio has been there for 7 years! The Baker/owner was a 2020 James Beard semi-finalist nominee for Outstanding Baker. I won't go into everything he offers in all those incredible apothecary jars. There's a fabulous website for that! I do understand that on Saturdays, though, Baker Greenhouse offers Breakfast Sandwiches (on his homemade biscuits) along with cinnamon rolls and pop tarts and muffins and other assorted special items. Check it out. Huge cookies are $3. Enormous circular Blondies and Brownies are $6 - $9 depending on whether they have nuts (I think). There's biscotti and pecan shortbread in the shape of Texas and take home cookie dough. I have to confess that we ate parts of everything we purchased from this cornucopia of baker's confections, so there are no pics of those items. They were too tempting. We bought a giant Oatmeal Cream Pie for $5 - 2 oatmeal cookies with basically a vanilla buttercream frosting center. Rich! I had a terrific Lemon Snickerdoodle. My husband bought one of those soft super chocolatey Brownies and a White Chocolate Chip Macadamia Nut Cookie. Gracious!! You have to pace yourself. Service was welcoming, helpful, informative and fun. We enjoyed our time in the store and although we don't live in the neighborhood, we will be back when we are.

Yelp
Super cute shop! I discovered it when i downloaded the toogoodtogo app yesterday and got some discounted cookies! I got $18 worth of cookies (6) for $6 and i think they were maybe a day old? Im so excited to keep visiting this shop and cant believe i hadn't heard of them until yesterday. I asked if they had any gluten free goodies since my mom was flying in and they have 3 cookies and a rice krispy treat that are. I got my mom all three cookies and she has been really enjoying them! I tried the chocolate nutella one and it was super tasty!! Of the normal/day old cookies we tried the sprinkles one and the white chocolate macadamia one and they are both super tasty! Will definitely be back for more!!

Yelp
This is the most delicious cookie I have EVER had. I've had cookies from manyyy places and this one by far is the most delicious. I recommend this cookie to everyone when they come to visit Dallas and I definitely recommend you try this if you're reading this. Enjoy!

Yelp
Jennifer is a sweetheart, my favorite cookie spot in dallas just got better. Been coming here for years, the food, and especially the staff, are top notch. Come support this beautiful black-owned business.

Yelp
Kessler Baking Studio is a Dallas Gem and yes, it's worth the drive DFW suburbanites. The baked goods Mr. Clyde and his staff are the best in town, which is why I drive from Murphy/Richardson to Oak Cliff 3 or 4 times a month to get the best cinnamon rolls, banana nut bread, oatmeal cream pies, cookies and brownies in town. They have more baked goods of course, but those treats are my favorite. The frozen cinnamon rolls are AMAZING! They thaw and reheat like fresh out of the oven rolls, and they stay fresh in freezer. Longest stretch I have stored them is 8 weeks, and they are amazing everytime. The banana nut bread freezes well too. Those stay fresh for up to 3 months in the freezer. I always stock up when I visit Kessler, because the quality of the cinnamon rolls and banana nut bread is so much higher than most places. The cinnamon rolls have a nice buttery dough, plenty of brown sugar, gooey filling, and a nice crunchy sugar for added texture, and of course generously iced. The banana nut bread is perfect combination of butter and bananas, also a crunchy crystallized sugar makes for a sweet and textural nirvana. I have visited almost every bakery on Dallas Eater and Observer's best of list, (and yes, Kessler is on those lists), and Kessler is my favorite. Another detail, Mr. Clyde and his staff are genuinely nice people. And in a busy, rushed world that may be the sweetest treat of all.

Courtney H.

Yelp
Incredible spot! The owner is welcoming and clearly passionate about all the treats they offer! We went with the seasonal strawberry Rice Krispie and I have not stopped thinking about it for 2 weeks! We also picked several cookies and a Texas shaped pecan cookie! Everything was delicious I can't wait to go back for more!

Heather R.

Yelp
Best shortbread cookies & great service! I discovered them via Goldbelly but placed my order online directly on kesslerbakingstudio.com which was easy to use. My husband was having to travel to Dallas on his birthday and I wanted to surprise him with something special delivered to his hotel. They did a fantastic job and he loved the variety of their shortbread cookies- they were larger than expected and amazingly delicious!

Yelp
My sister has been bringing me treats from this award-winning baker for months and I finally got a chance to visit myself and it's so cute! This bakery is in a small retro-fitted house in bishop arts and it's a dream for anyone with a sweet tooth! So many different flavors of cookies and I've yet to taste one I didn't like. Service was friendly and fast, despite them being about to close. There's a reason this neighborhood spot is so highly rated, definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
I admit, the first time I saw the images of their brownies, I thought they'd be dry and cakey. But I took the leap of faith, bolstered by everyone's positive reviews, only to find that the brownies here are absolutely delicious. Moist, fudgey and fun - I had the peanut butter brownie which essentially had a pb cookie inside - what a lovely surprise! Have been back a few times already, and the service is always warm and friendly. Also remember to grab some frozen cookie packs to keep in the freezer for some midweek treats!

Gabriela O.

Yelp
The cookies here are incredible. You can tell the baker knows their way around the recipe and integrates subtle flavors into the cookies to elevate them and make it a culinary experience! Brilliant!
google avatar

Morgan P.

Yelp
This is my new favorite cookie spot! I had the Kesslerdoodle and tried the banana nut bread. Easily I give both a 10/10. The Kesslerdoodle is not overly sweet and is so moist. Now the banana bread, easily the best I've tasted and I love banana bread. The employee was extremely helpful even with all of our questions. It gives off a small homey vibe when you enter. I will for sure be back!
google avatar

Taelyr R.

Yelp
Oh I love it here. I popped in here on a whim and am now fully addicted. They have a huge variety of cookies, brownies, and (I recently learned cinnamon rolls). On my first trip I grabbed an assortment of cookies for my family and now they ask me to stop before Sunday dinner every week! Their faves are the ELemonader, the white chocolate macadamia, and the oatmeal cranberry walnut however I am OBSESSED with the Rice Krispy treats. Seriously obsessed. It's a problem. They also have the giant bottles of vanilla extract that are made with Mexican vanilla and add a layer of complexity to your at home treats. This place is awesome and it feels like I'm gushing at this point but definitely a customer forever. My next goal is to finally catch their ever elusive focaccia rounds! Pro tip- be sure to check out the super cool cookie jars! (But don't touch)

Kelsey R.

Yelp
I LOVE this bakery. Nothing is bad from there, all the cookies and brownies I've tried are delicious. But my favorite things are Saturday specialties: the biscuits and banana bread. The biscuits are flaky and buttery and salty pillows of happiness. I usually order an egg & cheese biscuit sandwich and it is the amazing. The banana nut bread is also the best banana bread I've had. You do have to order ahead for Saturday items, but you won't regret it! Cookies and brownies and several other baked goods are available everyday and you can walk in to order. There is a tiny parking lot adjacent to the bakery as well if it is needed.

Shan H.

Yelp
They have the best blondies, brownies, and the homemade oatmeal cream pies are to die for. The customer service is ALWAYS GREAT!!! This is also a great place to order cookie gifts for teachers or for the office.

Yelp
I arrived at Kessler baking studio moments after it opened and I could tell immediately that the quality of the baked goods was going to be amazing and delicious. I was definitely right we got about every cookie and brownie and I managed to try a few of them everything was delicious. If you are a local to Dallas or you're just visiting I would highly recommend giving Kessler baking studio a try it is well worth your time and money.
google avatar

Alicia W.

Yelp
Love, love ,love! I worked with the team to find the perfect pairing for a tea tasting and they were so patient. I was outside of the service area to deliver and they took the extra step to ask the driver could he do it for an extra cost. I really appreciated that. I love the inclusive culture and mission. I am mindful of supporting black owned businesses and those who mission and values align. This one is a winner for sure.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Kessler is my go-to spot when I have a craving for something sweet! Everything has always been delicious but my absolute favorite is the strawberry rice krispy. Highly recommend popping in for some cookies, brownies, and other sweets. Service is always excellent as well.
google avatar

Kirk B.

Yelp
I love the baking studio and I had the privilege and honor to meet the owner Clyde. I recently came here with my partner to meet and try some of the incredible cookies and other delicious pastries. Immediately when you walk in you smell warm cookies in the atmosphere. Oh my! I had the macadamia and my partner had the chocolate coco swirl cookie. These are not you average size cookie but, they taste just like Big Mama was back there baking. Oooh Sooo Good. I highly recommend Kessler Baking Studio. They are great location on the corner lot a couple doors down from other local favorite like Johnathon. Great customer service and we love the decor and overall ambience.

Denise U.

Yelp
Hey what can I say it's " KESSLER COOKIES"! once you hear the name ** KESSLER ** Grab them Guard them THEN ...Devour Them! Orders are online made from scratch , a nice warm home front place , the employees hey it's Kessler they are amazing,, you are met on the *Porch* yes it's just like a home you walk up a couple of steps and greeted by an employee who is quick to hand over the * Golden Goods* good ol country home atmosphere surrounded by trees in area of The Bishops Arts District once in hand you can't help but grab one while driving might even pull over just to *Devour it * ( Ranger cookies ) yum they are all delicious I've tried each one!!! I'll make the drive , Thank You Kessler

Yelp
Home-baked yum! Baker and owner Clyde Greenhouse knows butter, flour, Mexican vanilla and sugar= tasty bakes!

Yelp
Kessler is hands down one of my absolute favorite bakeries, and definitely the one I stop by the most. Everything I've tried has been delicious. From the shortbread and monster individual cookies (they're HUGE yall) down to the biscotti. Most of the times when we'd stopped by previously Clyde himself was in the building and would always take the time to ask how we'd been and to catch up. All of his employees are the same! Everyone is always so nice and friendly, they never rush you to make decisions or act like you've been in the building for too long. The very first time we stopped by we had a ton of questions because there was just so much to choose from. One of my goals is to try every cookie flavor on the menu at least once, I've gotten through a decent amount of the list so far but there's still plenty of eating to do lol. Now that COVID has turned 2020 into one of social distancing, customers are no longer allowed inside the bakery itself for the time being, but you can still head up to the front door to see the menu and make purchases. The employees are still top notch and while you might not be able to browse the selection by seeing which cookie or brownie calls from you amongst the glass jars they're kept in, they still do their best to help you to explain the flavors and offerings to you and to offer recommendations if you're not quite sure what you're in the mood for. They also offer online ordering and let you schedule a day for pick-up. Online ordering was already offered previously but with everything going on this year, it's definitely a more robust system now. Another reason it's so easy to support Kessler, aside from all the delicious baked goods of course, is how openly and proudly they stand for diversity and inclusivity. Clyde and his team do not back down from supporting social causes or taking a stand for what they believe in. It's always great to support businesses that hold the same morals and values that you do! Last, but certainly not least, Cinnamon Roll Saturday!!! My favorite day of the week. Some of the best I've ever had, and the cream cheese frosting is good enough to eat even without the cinnamon rolls themselves. They go quick so you definitely want to order them online as soon as go up for the following week. Sales used to go up on Sunday but sometimes it starts Saturday evening. Follow their instagram if you really want to stay up to date cause they sell out quick, fast and in a hurry.
google avatar

Kayla C.

Yelp
Honestly one of the best shortbread cookies I've had. The cookie itself is really good and the pecans make it even better. Plus how can you not love the little pecan heart!
google avatar

Britt J.

Yelp
Finally had an opportunity to try the cinnamon rolls which are only available on Saturdays by preorder and they were absolutely delicious!! The online orders open on Saturday afternoons (for the following weekend) I believe and the cinnamon rolls tend to sell out fast. And before you ask, yes it's definitely worth the calories!! Side note: the building which is an older renovated house is super cute with cookie adorned stairs leading up to all the deliciousness!!

Sarah K.

Yelp
I placed an order as a gift to a business and ordered it for delivery. When the delivery driver arrived at the address I provided and saw that the business had moved, they called and texted me, and took it to the second location. The baked goods were received and so appreciated! I so appreciate a delivery going above and beyond when that was clearly my mistake. I've ordered several times from Kessler baking and always had amazing experiences. The baked goods are delicious, and the service has made me a loyal customer.

Yelp
Decided to stop in for some sweet treats! Ummm yessss! So many different flavors. We got the lemon, chocolate chip, oatmeal raise cranberry, Texas shortbread (pecan) and a cream pie. Omg sooooo freaking good. That damn oatmeal cream pie was AUHHHmazing. I sat in the driveway and just ate it (shared with my sister) we died. Soo freaking good. We even went back after eating and got our cousin some treats too. The place is soo cute and the owner was super nice. I am annoyed that my cousin text me saying thank you, so I told her the flavors and she informed me that the blonde was not included, which I paid for. If I wasn't already back in plano, I would've turned around to get it. He must of accidentally forgot to add it. Oh well I guess. I will however be back bc the cream pie was beyond yummy plus there's a lot of flavors I wanna try.

Yelp
You know when you have a craving for a cinnamon roll and you must have one? When we were staying in the Bishop Arts District I had this craving and set out to find the best cinnamon roll possible. Kessler Baking Studio did not disappoint on any level. The cinnamon rolls are delicious. Very hearty and robust. Lot's of flavor and frosting. We ordered a few of the regular cinnamon rolls and a few specialty rolls (pecan and salted caramel I think). They were excellent. One note is that you have to pre-order the cinnamon rolls and they are only available on Saturdays which is a bit annoying. You can try to show up and get some on Saturdays, but they likely will be out. When I tried to just show up I did not get the cinnamon rolls I was craving but I did get some biscotti (amazing) and brownies. Honestly, everything was delicious. You should definitely try them out.

Emitom H.

Yelp
I have not had the pleasure of visiting Kessler Baking Studio in person yet, but I'm lucky a friend picked me the create your own half dozen cookie box to try (you can order in advance online)! Overall, the cookies were large, moist, and delicious. The perfect combination of a slightly crisp exterior and soft middle. At $16.50 for the box, they come out around $2.75 per cookie, which is a fair price for the size and taste of these cookies. These will definitely be my new go-to cookies in Dallas! Power-ranking (as you may be able to tell, chocolate is my favorite): 1. Oatmeal Chocolate Toffee: Like an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, but next level. 2. Hot Chocolate: The habanero infused sugar has quite the kick, but adds great flavor. Watch out if you put your tongue directly on the sugar when you first take a bite. 3. Chocolate Chip: A delicious classic. 4. Kesslerdoodle: Great take on a snickerdoodle. 5. Vanilla Sugar: Simple, but yummy. 6. Oak Cliff Ranger: I was most excited to try this cookie, but most disappointed in it. For me the oats, coconut, and nuts all together dried the cookie out compared to the others. I think I would have liked it more if it didn't have nuts, but I'm not a huge nut person in general. On my next visit, I definitely want to add Double Chocolate Espresso and Triple Chocolate to my order!
google avatar

Jessica Z.

Yelp
Love love love these cookies!! I picked up a snickerdoodle and an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie from the adorable Kessler Baking Studio, and they were both so excellent! I loved how soft and chewy they were - with the perfect balance of salty and sweet. The employee working was super friendly and nice, and he told me all about the different cookie flavors. They have a ton of different cookies and other baked goods, and I can't wait to go back and try more!

Yelp
This is my almost-every-Saturday-morning breakfast place and I have nicknamed the owner 'Biscuit Bae.' The biscuits are AMAZING!!! I normally order the egg & cheese. The biscuit is large and moist on the interior, just the right amount of crisp on the exterior with (I'm assuming) a brush of salted butter on top. The egg-to-biscuit ratio is perfect, the cheese is melty and the house-made jam (apple or berry) is almost like a fantastic pie filling, not overly sweet....each time I've indulged I've not been disappointed. The cinnamon rolls and Rice Krispies treats, both original AND strawberry are AMAZING as well!!!!!!

Crystal M.

Yelp
I was visiting Dallas and wanted to bring my sister home a treat. I saw Kessler Baking Studio online and decided to give them a try. The cookies and brownies were just as I had hoped for thick, flavorful and filled with nuts. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Mubarrak H.

Yelp
This is arguably the best brownie in all of Dallas. Highly recommend you stopping by and picking up your own so you can taste perfection. The guy who owns this place has a heart of gold. You can feel his energy when you step inside the bakery

Yelp
Cookie lovers dream turned into a nightmare of shocking disappointment :/. I must say everything was in line for this bakery but they lose stars for taste. Located in a residential area with a few other restaurants. It is in a house, very cute homely feel; we saw it on our way to our brunch location and immediatelydecided to go there afterwards. Once you enter you are greeted by a very clean store, stylish and very appealing set up. The girl at the counter was fantastic, super friendly and helpful. She told us every flavor they offered and gave suggestions when we needed help deciding. They have a large selection of options, which includes a number of great flavor combinations. The cookies are a pretty big and perfectly shaped; about $3 a cookie (which is standard for a bakery cookie). Now I must say that I am a big cookie lover! Cookies are my thing. I came with a group of four people, we eat got at least two cookies, I tried all of them. Every single one of them was dry, lackluster in flavor ... just disappointing. I had a Honey Roasted Peanut Peanut Butter cookie, dry and barely any peanut butter flavor. I tried a Cowboy cookie dry and just not good. They all had a dry flour-y taste, I was shocked! They all looked so good but the cookies at Target and Publix are much better. I am not exactly sure what it was about them (other than the dryness) but they were not good; definitely not bakery level $3 cookies. When we got back home we warm up the cookies and a few of them were more enjoyable. Maybe their brownies are good but definitely not their cookies.

Yelp
I am very picky about my cookies. I tried the chocolate chip, vanilla sugar, and double raisin oatmeal. Honestly, I wasn't impressed. I will return because there are 2 other cookies and a rice crispy treat. My daughter and husband tasted them also, but they felt meh about them.

Yelp
Really incredible local bakery! Live only a few blocks away and so glad we happened to walk by this gem to discover their INCREDIBLE cinnamon rolls! They're quite big so don't be fooled, for $4 you are certainly getting your money's worth for some fresh flavor! They sell out super quick and are only available for purchase on Saturdays so be sure to order online for pickup at a later time!! Highly highly recommend :)

Yelp
Last Friday I went to an event hosted by Kessler Baking Studio and Potent Pours, a mobile mixologist and I had the best time! I enjoyed tasting the special made sweet treats paired with the custom cocktails The first pairing was a margarita donut paired with a hibiscus margarita.. Margaritas are my faves regardless but that delicious moist donut with a bit of tang and sweetness paired beautifully with the hibiscus margarita... The second pairing was a hot chocolate cupcake and a Chambord Paloma. Y'all the cupcake was amazing.. it had a hint of spice and the paloma was SO refreshing! Clyde the owner of Kessler Baking Studio was extremely friendly along with the owner of Potent Pours. I look forward to the next event they host and hopefully getting back to the bakery to get some of their yummy looking baked goods.

Yelp
Went out looking for donuts and ran across this place. They didn't have donuts, but their cinnamon rolls are well worth a return trip. Tons of cookies and brownies on the menu as well.

Yelp
It all started with a brownie. I had a craving for chocolate, and one night, I noticed KBS on my Favor app. I realized I could have brownies AND milk AND cookies delivered to my house. That was about 20 brownies ago. I finally made it into the store in person, and it is so darn cute. The pastry chef, the man behind the sweets, well, he's always there! He has a great approach, and each treat that I've had has been so divine. 100% I am here for these brownies man. I can't make them like this. I don't have the stuff. Literally. But, if you wanted the stuff (Mexican vanilla), well he sells it by the bottle! For Valentine's Day, there were two things that could be special ordered which aren't on the menu full time. My husband surprised me with one today! He said "go to your brownie place; they'll have something special for you". I thought it would be a heart shaped cookie or something. Nah. My hubs ordered a full salted caramel and chocolate torte. It's like a gourmet Twix. I can't even. It's so good. And of course, the whole crew were working. They even carried the torte to my car for me because I had filled up my purse and hands with brownies hahaha! This is a place that takes so much pride in their food. It's amazing.

Yelp
Me: I have to break up with you. Oatmeal Cranberry Walnut: why? Me: maybe not breakup but I can't see you for a while. Oatmeal Cranberry Walnut: I understand. You put in alot of work. Me: you have been that good to me but I gotta get back to it. Like once a month as a treat for the more hard work I gotta put in to deserve you. End of the month though- lol. It's 11/27/18 Hey I recommend this bakery. I had to open up my review this way because OMG- I first walked in here really not that long ago for the first time thinking it was something else. I was like ahh man but quickly change my mind a few cookies trips later. I've tried several since then and the Oatmeal Cranberry Walnut is yes my favorite. They do have a good selection to choose from. They sell different cookies by days or even by times of the year. So you have to check out the schedule to see if yours are sold on that day. I would say come in for you favorite and try another. If you like brownies and different flavored nuts they have them as well. They have items on the wall as well but I tend to have tunnel vision. I knows what I like- I eye it- and I gets it. Service is alway great. They will of course tell you about any cookies or items you ask about. There is a incline pathway with stairs leading to the front door. I normally park on the side of the building because its quicker. If you love sweets this is a great place to come too.

Yelp
This place is suuuuh cute as was the gentleman that helped us, whom I assume was the owner. We are just in town for the weekend and staying right around the corner. Got there right when they opened, to his surprise lol. Well, my friend and I bought all the things. Chocolate chip, hot chocolate, oatmeal chocolate toffee, oatmeal cranberry walnut, vanilla sugar, e-lemonader, blondie, and peanut butter brownie. The consistency of everything was exactly how I wanted to be. My favorite was the vanilla sugar for sure, followed closely by the oatmeal cranberry walnut. My friends favorite was the e-lemonader (we both love lemon, and I actually could have gone for a little more lemon). Overall, happy. I would definitely come back if ever in the area.

Yelp
This place is amazing!!! Super cute cookie shop. I love that it's owned locally in the heart of Dallas. The customer service was amazing and the cookies were even more incredible. I highly recommend this place. My favorite is the orange oatmeal raisin, OMG so delicious!

Yelp
I placed an order online to pick up 6 cookies (variety) and also 2 shortbread cookies. I've never been to the bakery before, but was pleasantly surprised to see such a cute house on a corner that serves as its bakery. We were greeted by a staff member who provided us our curbside pickup order, along with a little something extra (some biscotti!) The 6 pack of cookies were a hit or miss for me. I had ordered the chocolate chip pecan, double chocolate espresso, kesslerdoodle (their version of snickerdoodle), oak cliff ranger (oats, coconut, etc), hot chocolate (spicy!) and the triple chocolate. Out of the 6, I enjoyed the chocolate chip pecan and the kesslerdoodle the most and would order those again. What stood out more was the shortbread cookies and the vanilla biscotti, WOW. With the shortbread, you can taste that GOOD butter. I loved how chewy the cookie was. The biscotti was complimentary, but definitely something I would purchase a lot of. It had a perfectly hard and crispy texture, and the sweet and buttery taste of the discotti was divine. Overall, this was a great bakery to have tasted in Dallas. While I wasn't too much of a fan of the cookies (I guess I really just love classic cookies), I really loved the shortbread cookies and the biscotti. I would definitely make the drive from Plano to Dallas to get those again. Thank you!

Yelp
First time trying Kessler's cookies and they are delicious! He really gets to know the customers and was so helpful. He must've known it was my first time there and he took extra time to explain the ingredients. I wanted to try everything but got the Oak Cliff ranger and peanut butter chocolate chip. The oak cliff ranger is like a monster cookie-it was two types of nuts and chocolate chips, you can't go wrong with it! The peanut butter chocolate chip tastes just like it sounds! Both cookies were so moist and melt in your mouth as you eat them. I can't wait to go back and try more. He even has brownies and blondies, so I'll try that next time.
