The Best New Restaurants in Montreal, January 2023 | Eater Montreal

"Add Cambodian food counter Ketiw to your running list of restaurants for where to get a mighty fine sandwich — theirs are of the num pang kind, filled with kroeung-marinated chicken, lemongrass beef, or mushrooms. But the main draw at this cool new Verdun spot from the minds behind Les Street Monkeys is chef Tota Oung’s Phnom Penh-style kuy teav, a traditional Cambodian breakfast meal of noodles topped with ground pork and seafood — served wet or dry." - Valerie Silva

The Best New Brunches in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"Following up on their lunch and dinner services, this Cambodian sandwich and noodle shop from chef Tota Oung and Hillary Romero of Les Street Monkeys is now offering boozy brunches on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy bottomless mango mimosas for $30 while slurping bowls of savory kuyteav (all-dressed noodles with a side of pork broth) or crush a num pang sandwich or two." - JP Karwacki

New Montreal Restaurants Openings, July 2022 | Eater Montreal

"I visited Ketiw, a daytime Cambodian counter on Wellington Street from the Les Street Monkeys team, where chef Tota Oung serves Phnom Penh–style kuy teav (white or yellow noodles topped with ground pork and seafood, served wet or dry), num pang sandwiches stuffed with kroeung-marinated chicken, lemongrass beef, or mushrooms, and beverages like Thai iced tea and pandan lemonade, with shaved ice planned soon." - Valerie Silva

Verdun is Getting a New Cambodian Sandwich and Noodle Shop | Eater Montreal

"Coming in spring 2022 to 3866 Wellington Street, I learned that Ketiw is a new Cambodian project from the team behind Les Street Monkeys that will act as a daytime counterpart to their high-volume nighttime operation, combining a street-food counter with a Southeast Asian grocer selling the sauces and prêt-à-manger goods that helped the team survive the pandemic. I’m told one half of the menu will feature Cambodian num pang sandwiches made with bread baked from a mixture of rice and wheat flour for a lighter, chewier bite, filled with toppings such as lemongrass and galangal beef; kroeung-marinated chicken; char siu pork; or a vegan option made with a mix of blue and elm oyster mushrooms sourced from Montreal fungi supplier Full Pin. I’m also looking forward to the Phnom Penh–style kuyteav served “dry” — noodles topped with ground meat, shrimp cakes, sauces, preserved cabbage, fried garlic and lots of herbs, accompanied by a bowl of pork broth to sip on the side — plus Khmer shaved ice for dessert with toppings like basil seed, red bean and seasonal fruit syrups. Ketiw will seat 12 inside but is being set up as a real grab-and-go option for curbside eating, and the team says they’ll source as much as possible from the Verdun community." - JP Karwacki

Google
I’ve been a fan of Ketiw since they opened - specially of the num pang’s. However recently they are putting less meat and veggies inside… I just got one and it felt like I was just eating bread - 3 pieces of chicken total in the sandwich… so disappointing considering the flavour is so so good :/

I’ve been a regular customer of Ketiw for a solid bit now and honestly this place never gets old. I particularly love their chicken sandwich but their thai iced tea, pandan green tea, and large selection of soups are all excellent! I would eat here every day if I could. Taking off one star because I found a piece of hard metal in my soup and when I showed the server she seemed to have no interest in informing the kitchen of a possible hazard and even went as far as suggesting it came off my clothing instead of taking any proper measures to figure out what happened. A bit disappointing to be honest, I could’ve easily chipped a tooth.

Google
Bright and sleek spot for Cambodian eats. The Khuy Teav Phnom Penh rice noodles (either broth in or out) is pretty good. The lemongrass beef sandwich lunch special is really satisfying too. My favorite discovery though was the pandan tea — so warm with that little kick of sweetness.

Google
I love a good no fuss restaurant and this place hits the spot every time. The flavours are very reminiscent of my travels to Cambodia with a modernized vibe and great attention to detail. Their ketiw and num pang are my go-to dishes. To be honest, it’s a constant dilemma between the two and I get fomo whenever I choose one over the other. I will say, I’m happiest when I order both (with the soup on the side is a must!) Such a great combo! I leave satiated and with half a sandwich for the next day that I look forward to. A staple and a favourite for sure. Great little restaurant, highly recommend.

Google
From the owners of Les Street Monkeys, this small lunch spot, packs big flavour! Offering sandwiches, noodles and appetizers such as spring rolls and imperial rolls. They have plenty of great snacks and unique drinks. Several vegan options as well. The local mushroom sandwich is vegan and absolutely delicious! Highly recommend checking this place out. Fair prices, great service and phenomenal food!

Google
This place is awesome. Period. The sandwich I had is a serious contender for best in Verdun. The noodles were excellent. Prices are fair. Great wine list, very good service, and it's fun to sit at the counter and watch the magic happen. Sister restaurant to Street Monkeys down the street, but I think I like it better here.

Google
We love the noodles here. We especially enjoy the Khuy Teav Phnom Penh rice noodles with soup on the side, which pairs perfectly with a side of Chakway. The noodle bowl is well-mixed, and if you can handle spicy food, adding more hot sauce makes it even better. Their Thai iced tea is excellent too. The chicken Banh Mi is also very good; they add lemon leaves, which enhances the flavor of the chicken, a small detail that makes a big difference. In Asian cuisine, this combination is common, but not many restaurants here pay attention to it. The pickles are made from papaya, not the usual daikon typically paired with Banh Mi. The staff is friendly, and the place, including the bathroom, is very clean.

Yelp
Ketiw is a tuck stop specializing in Cambodian noodles and sandwiches. It's located on Wellington Street, one of Verdun's main commercial streets. They have plenty of noodle dishes, including the popular Cambodian staple, Khuy Teav Phnom Penh. There's a small grocery section of the store which carries snacks from Southeast Asia as well as grab-and-go drinks. Stopped in for an early dinner before a show and managed to make it out on time for the show.

Yelp

Yelp
Fantastic discovery! The place is tiny, still it manages to stay bright, pleasant, and inviting. We were offered a warm welcome by Daniel who gave us a spot at the common table and helped us with the menu. The food is beautiful, everything is visibly market fresh, the tastes are rich, complex, and bright, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. If you are looking for a delicious lunch break, a takeout experience that will transport you far, far away, or your just need your fix of Asian snacks, this is the place to go. Don't miss this!

Yelp
Great trendy spot for Cambodian food! The decor is super cute with a couple of small table seats along the front window, kitchen bar stools, and a larger table in the middle of the seating area. Loved the design of the kitchen countertop! For food we ordered mom's imperial rolls (comes with 2 deep fried rolls), Kroeung chicken num pang, Khuy Teav Phnom Penh with rice vermicelli, Banh Soung beef noodles and Pandan infused lemonade. We were also served some nice hot tea to go along with the meal which was a nice touch since it was cold and snowy out! Definitely recommend the Kroeung chicken num pang and the Banh Soung beef noodle! The portion sizes were great! Loved the lemongrass flavour that comes through in the dishes! The only comment I would have is the Pandan infused lemonade did not have a huge pandan flavour coming through and the Khuy Teav Phnom Penh although a comforting dish, it was not very special and would recommend the other dishes we tried instead :)
