The 18 Best Restaurants in Tbilisi, Georgia | Eater

"The laid-back Keto and Kote does an excellent job of giving traditional foods a modern twist without losing their essence. The dolmas with sour cream and tarragon are superb, and the pesto cottage cheese khinkali are a uniquely Eurasian creation. Book in advance for dinner al fresco beneath the fig tree-shaded balcony overlooking the city." - Natalie Shafrir

You’re first time in town it’s sometimes good to let someone local tell you where to eat. And what a blinder of a recommendation Keto and Kate was. Great atmosphere and equally great food. Good choice of wines too. I walked up from the old town and it was well worth it. I’d highly recommend it if you’re in town.

If you’re on foot, Google Maps will send you to an entrance that doesn’t exist. Then, when you climb a hill and finally think you’ve got it right, you’ll end up on a weird street and start wondering again if you’re in the right place. After going down the street and taking a small alley, you’ll realize — yes, this is it. Despite the little struggle to find it, it’s one of the few restaurants in Tbilisi where people will actually smile at you and serve you with joy. Order as much as you want — they offer takeaway for leftovers. Don’t skip the pkhali mix and the pulled beef. Perfect. Oh, and make a reservation in advance, or they’ll seat you at a communal table — which wasn’t a problem for me, but the couple next to me looked pretty annoyed (should’ve booked ahead, honeeey)

A truly authentic Georgian restaurant with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s tucked away in a courtyard and features a lovely terrace — perfect for enjoying a meal outdoors, especially on a warm evening. The restaurant is quite spacious, offering both indoor seating and a charming outdoor area. The food is absolutely delicious! Everything is made with care and full of flavor. The khachapuri is magical — some of the best I’ve ever had. The Georgian wine is rich, aromatic, and pairs beautifully with the dishes. An ideal spot to experience real Georgian cuisine without the touristy feel. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends.

I had a fantastic experience at this incredible place. I want to thank Ana for her hospitality and the wonderful wine recommendation. I was surrounded by care throughout the entire evening! A charming venue with delicious cuisine, a stunning view of the city at night, and the magical hospitality of the Georgian people. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Highly recommended! ❤️🫂

A beautiful romantic dinner. Very good wines. We loved the assortment of pkhali and the charcoal chicken. The cheese khinkali ended up being our least favorite (maybe we just prefer the meat version). If you can dine outside the view is nice, but the interior is also beautiful. Pricey for Georgia, but as a foreigner used to high prices it was worth it.

Food was very good, but unfortunately it was overshadowed by the poor service. They were incredibly slow. After ordering, it took about 40 minutes for our starter to arrive, which was a salad with a little piece of bread. We asked our server about how many salads to order (since we were five adults), and our server said that one salad would be enough for all five of us. As soon as it arrived, we could see it was far too little to share, so we immediately ordered another salad and more bread. About 30 minutes later, our main courses finally came. They tasted amazing, but the portions were tiny. The extra salad and bread we ordered never arrived. Considering everything, the ambiance in the restaurant and the taste of the food is great. But the service is awful, and the servers are very inattentive. Its a shame, since the food was excellent and the restaurant is very charming. We were expecting more from such an upscale restaurant.

Fantastic restaurant! Menu! Atmosphere! Very interesting and unique restaurant. Varied menu, freshly prepared. There is everything you need to have a good time with friends, colleagues and family. I recommend it.

Amazing restaurant! Quit hidden…but worth a visit! It’s expensive for Georgia but absolutely delicious and the staff and the atmosphere is amazing! We had the homemade lemonade, the khinkali, a salad and the mushrooms. We were lucky to get a table because we arrived quite early for dinner…but I recommend to reserve a table:)
