This was a fun and delicious experience. We arrived around six pm on a Saturday and were asked if we had a reservation-we did not-and the hostess graciously found us a table.
They were packed and had been most of the afternoon-but the hostess was very sweet and accommodating.
We had the most amazing young man wait on us...I wish I remembered his name-curly blonde hair. He was friendly, extremely knowledgeable about the menu as well as a lot of German dishes. He recommended and we were NOT disappointed.
They had a lady playing an accordion and singing, and that added to the fun and energy.
As a table, we had the sausage plate (our waiter surprised us with his flavor pics), weiner schnitzel, chicken schnitzel, sauerkraut, red cabbage, fried potatoes, hot potato salad, noodles (name escapes me). I wish we'd had room for dessert, but we were stuffed.
One of our party is first generation German-American, and it was fun to hear him reminisce with the waiter, over dishes he grew up eating.
Reviews stated it was a bit pricey, but for the quality, quantity and atmosphere it was not! (Have you ever tried cooking German food-it's a lot of work!!)
Definitely a do over!! Thanks for a wonderful evening!!
