Twin Cities’ Restaurant Closures, March 2025 | Eater Twin Cities

"The Eden Prairie spot at 6399 City W Pkwy closed permanently on Sunday, March 23. Owner and chef Kevin Champlin told Bring Me the News he’s planning to refresh the space as he revamps the menu to focus on Italian cuisine. A new establishment has taken over the address and ownership shared on Instagram a video teasing the renovation progress; a reopening date hasn’t been announced." - Serena Maria Daniels

The burgers are good! First time visit. I gave this place 3 stars only because of where we were seated. It was very close to the restrooms. While it was a large seating area, the smell of toilet cake filled the eating area. We could have asked to be moved, but if this is an area being designated for seating, the smells of the bathroom chemicals should not be wafting in the dining area. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Our food and drinks arrived on time and he was able to assist in our menu selection. We had burgers, the steak sandwich, and cheese curds. • The burgers were very good. • Steak sandwich not so much • Cheese curds - Different..... • Mac & cheese - ok Food overall was decent. I am not sure what happened, but in the men's restroom the door for the toilet was off the hinges.

We had a few apps and drinks. The service was terrific! We had the Brazin Nachos, and they were fantastic. These nachos had a super fun twist and were very good. I would recommend them.

I've driven by this place at least 100+ times in the past year. I always thought it was Brazilian Steakhouse or something, but saw than I saw on google it was more classical pub food and decided to stop by on lunch to get a burger and it was better than expected. The Bar area is kind of small, has an overall "Diner" feel to it, with an open view of the kitchen. Overall the food was good, the wedge fries were good, same with the burger sauce.

Six of us had dinner here tonight (Friday) for the first time. It was quiet when we arrived at 5:00, then exploded around 5:30pm. The food was very good, and even with how busy it was, the service was superb. Zac was very attentive and served the entire restaurant with a smile. He even surprised me with a birthday s’mores brownie :) Great local establishment, we will definitely return!

We tried 3 dishes and love all of them. I personally love the Wedge Salad, the best ever. The appearance just wow! Chicken wings bone in is a must have-crispy, juicy and tasty with blue cheese😋Love the mushrooms stuffing, I can eat all of them not to share! Nice dining experience and we are planning to return for weekend brunch👍

If I could give 10 stars I would!!! We had the pleasure of having Brazin cater for the Eden Prairie football team tonight and the pizzas and pasta were amazing!! The boys all said it was the best pasta they have ever had. Can’t recommend Brazin strongly enough!!!

We tried two flatbreads that were okay but didn’t suit our taste. My husband had the 5 Alarm Fire and I had the sweet and spicy goat flatbread. Mine was pretty dry and bland unfortunately, but the jumbo pretzel appetizer was good. We will have to go back and try some other dishes, but the service was good.

Google
Place was loud but the food was ok. I have never had bluegill in a restaurant setting and sure enough it was bluegill. The coleslaw was a hit and the fish was not bad either.

Yelp
Parking: parking lot, plenty of spaces Ambiance: their outdoor patio has comfortable chairs and high tops, a good amount of shade, and cute patio lights Service: you could tell they were busy that day because things came out slowly but the server was polite and apologetic Food: the focaccia was delicious! The pasta alla Rosa was just okay. The bucatini was al dente but the sauce did not have enough cream/umami richness. It was quite on the watery side and didn't coat the noodles well

Yelp
The artichoke dip was wonderful. A large serving and plenty of toast. I feltl it was a little spendy compared to the prices when it was Brazin.

Yelp
My husband and I made a reservation for the Thursday "date night " special, which was listed as $60 for two salads, an appetizer or dessert, two pasta dishes, and a bottle of wine. We were seated quickly at 6pm. The food was good! We opted for the beet bruschetta appetizer in lieu of dessert. I thought the sweetness of the honey ricotta played well against the earthiness of the beats. And the ciabatta bread was chewy and flavorful. The wedge Caesar was good, I loved the homemade croutons. A little heavy on the dressing, but you could tell it was homemade and had great flavor from the anchovy- a solid Caesar dressing. My husband got the seafood pasta, and I got the spaghetti and meatballs. He loved his, and I loved the bold flavor of the house made red pasta sauce. The meatballs were big and well seasoned. My only critique, and perhaps this is unfair, but the pasta was clearly not homemade and I wished it was. The only hiccup is that the date night was advertised as coming with a bottle of wine, and we were charged $20 for the bottle we got. It was explained to me that they had said in the beginning that the wine was "a $20 mystery bottle" meaning we couldn't choose it. I interpreted this to me that the free bottle of wine that was advertised as part of the date night was valued at $20. I explained this felt like a little bit of a trick and the charge was removed from our bill without any fuss. That was much appreciated. Because of how that was handled, we will definitely return! Overall, it was a pleasant evening, and I enjoyed myself. Stand out was the bruschetta for sure. Server was friendly and cheerful and didn't rush us.

Yelp
This is a hidden treasure! The spinach and artichoke dip was amazing. We loved the pizza, especially the nice doughy crust. Also tried the spicy sausage orecchiette. So good! And to top it off, the citrus olive oil cake was decadent! We will definitely be back.

Yelp
excellent Italian style cuisine the Tuscan style soup is a stand out. My Italian friend had a dish with gnocchi and he gave it two thumbs up. He comes from a restaurant family so that's really saying something nice responsive staff and excellent ambience especially the outdoor patio area and the special event room. The Chef Owner is a jovial fellow and it shows in the quality of his cuisine. Highly recommended.

Yelp
It was a nice night to dine al fresco at this new Italian restaurant, but we weren't prepared for the slow service we experienced, as we've been to this restaurant before as a different concept, but same ownership. We sat for 15 min before a waitress approached us. A simple "be right with you" would have told us she knew we were there. Then 10 min later, she brought our water telling us it was very busy inside. Fortunately, the food was worth the wait! However, smaller portions but then we forgot we were at a bistro. I recommend the neopolitan pizza & the beet bruschetta. We will come back again & I'm hoping my 4 stars will improve to 5.

Yelp
The pizza, soups, and focaccia were all outstanding. Highly recommend the tiramisu cheesecake.

Yelp
Kevin's might be a rather surprising name for an Italian restaurant, but it certainly steps up with a varied menu and a fun relaxed atmosphere. The table bread is wonderful and whether you're sharing appetizers or choosing one of the many excellent entrées, you'll enjoy your meal and the great service. We enjoyed the Beet Bruschetta as well as the Sweet Potato Gnocchi. Splurge and have dessert. The dark chocolate spumoni Panna cotta is delectable. A nice addition to Minnetonka restaurants.

Yelp
We came here hoping for a new Mama D's alternative. They used to be on the other side of the parking lot. This is nothing like that. We went for the patio since it was a nice night. It feels like stuff still isn't quite put away. The service was ponderous. I was surprised that there were not more red sauce options. The food was good but not stellar. The menu is all ala carte.

Yelp
I was there a few days ago. My friends and I tried almost all the appetizers: meatballs- tender with great sauce, beets on Cristini so delicious, artichoke dip- creamy and tummy! Table bread- excellent flavor and texture, and calamari a very light batter and good basil aioli ( my friend Rhonda took most of it! ) I had the mushroom ravioli ..the presentation was beyond and the sauce was beyond as well! Now for dessert, lemon lavender cake ( I did not want to share but I promised I would) so refreshing with the perfect amount of lavender, Panna cotta- so rich and the cherries! And the turamisu so good! The coffee flavor with mascarpone. I will be back to try more! Love this place.
