"Keweenaw Coffee Works is a pillar of Calumet, with coffee that is every bit as good as its commitment to community. Roaster Nate Shuttleworth was born in England and raised in Australia before moving stateside. A classically trained chef, he left restaurants in Chicago and California to begin his chapter in coffee. Shuttleworth roasts single-origin beans from Guatemala, Ethiopia, and beyond, giving them names that celebrate life right here at home. Think: Borealis, North Woods, and the Straights." - Stacey Brugeman

What a marvelous, beautiful, and authentically wild place to visit! So much culture, history, and unique aspects of society live here harmonious with nature. The people were so kind and genuine as we traveled (early season tourists). We explored everything on the west, north, and south sides of the peninsula. I saw so many things I've only read about in a book - it was fantastic LIVING it! (Do NOT forget the bug spray!) Rain will not deter your trip to this majestic part of the US. If early season travelers, be prepared for cold nights.

Beautiful drive along the peninsula provides a picturesque view of Lake Superior. It’s quiet and an offbeat place to get away from crowd and have a pleasant vacation.

Awesome place lots of cool little town, great hiking . Only reason I’m not giving it a five star rating is the signage is terrible.

The Keweenaw Peninsula is a scenic and historical treasure. The beauty of the north woods and Lake Superior shoreline is reason enough to make the Keweenaw country a destination attraction, and the copper mining history of the Houghton-Hancock-Calumet area is a major bonus. Include Copper Harbor, Eagle River, and Eagle Harbor in your visit if you can. The Eagle Harbor Lighthouse was our personal family favorite. Read less

We absolutely loved the Upper Peninsula. The amount of snow they get here every year is mind bending. We are glad we visited in the summer.

My kids live here. I absolutely love it, all seasons. The gorgeous scenery, tons of things to do, wonderful restaurants and shops. Fun "touristy" opportunities. Unbelievable wild berries, apples. Nice folks.

One of the most beautiful places on earth. Miles and miles of gorgeous landscapes and skyscapes. Adventure around every corner, if you've got the gumption to go looking for it. Historic buildings, lighthouses, mines, ruins, waterfalls, agate hunting, ghost towns, hiking trails...bring your motorhome, bring your Harley...stay as long as you can. You can't see it all in just a few days. If you enjoy the great outdoors, ya gotta come!
