I am writing this review regarding my experience with the Indio location, as I’ve been unable to find an official place to leave feedback. I began the intake process with KEBM in March, shortly after my son received his autism diagnosis in February. He is in urgent need of early intervention services, and I initially chose KEBM because of their advertised focus on play-based and child-led ABA ; something that is difficult to find and deeply important to our family.
Unfortunately, the intake process has been extremely inconsistent and disheartening. Despite submitting all requested documentation- I rarely received follow-up communication unless I initiated it. I had to reach out more than five separate times just to get status updates, and each time I was assured that someone would be in touch or that we were being taken care of. However, the cycle would repeat; weeks would pass with no updates, and I’d be contacted by a new representative, being assured I would be contacted back swiftly and would be taken care of.
It’s extremely difficult to find services you feel safe entrusting your child to, and even harder when your child has significant needs and limited time for early intervention. I do not understand why a company that promotes such a supportive approach makes families feel forgotten or unimportant.
While I understand that staff changes and backlogs can happen, the lack of communication and follow-through has left me deeply disappointed. I’m now having to restart the process elsewhere in hopes of finding a provider who will treat our situation with the urgency and care it deserves. Below are photos of multiple check ins on my end- emails will not be shared due to sensitive information.
