Wanted to try Key West since the day before. But we end up going somewhere else instead. Somehow I change my mind at the last minute. Maybe I should of just listen to my instincts the day before, bc I totally regret going there before leaving Wildwood.
Key West is located on the corner of Pacific Avenue and Andrew's Avenue. There is only street meter parking available($2/hour). When we walk in, we waited a few minutes. One of the female waitstaff walk over with annoy attitude, I was like "what I do???" I just walk in. We sat anyway bc of the gr8 reviews on Yelp. The cafe looks cute with all the colorful decors on the walls.
As we looked through the menu, a male waitstaff came and takes me and hubby's drink order. My daughter was there, he act as if she doesn't exist, didn't ask if she wants anything at all, huh??? His attitude were pretty pushy, like hurry the hell up kind of attitude.
Food wise. I got the Sandy Beach Benedict, daughter got the Donald kids meal, and hubby got some hot cakes with cheesy scrambled eggs. My daughter ate most of her pancakes bc she was hungry, that's the good part. Hubby didn't like his meal at all. The pancakes look very fulfilling but.... Key West put some type of powder on their pancakes, which we wasn't aware of. I think my hubby's scrambled eggs look and taste so much better than KW. I don't know how they serve me eggs with a slab of half melted cheese on top. Last is my Sandy Beach Benedict. The only part I like is the poached egg and sauteed spinach. The rest MEH. Our waitstaff had offer to refill my coffee, but my cup remained empty for the rest of the meal.
To Key West Cafe: we witness a argument between your waitstaffs, if they doesn't get along, it shouldn't played out when customers are dinning in. It looks bad for a establishment.
