"Keys on Main, a piano bar known for its dueling piano shows and live sing-alongs, is preparing to relocate to the teal, three-story building on the corner of East Pine and Boylston Avenue. It previously had a longstanding location in Queen Anne." - Mark Van Streefkerk

This place was pretty cool. No cover to get in but have some cash to tip the singers/players. They did awesome! Went two nights in a row since they were close to where I was staying. The performers were awesome they new ALL songs. So whatever you want to hear they will play. Drinks were great. The first night my waitress was awesome! So bubbly and gave great recommendations.

Google
Notes: $10-20 drinks without prices on menu. Song requests are done with tips (about $20) per song. $10 cover charge. Reservation not required but if you do you can sit up front! I loved it here! They did 2 songs from me, and a few from my friends but the other people’s requests were also awesome!! The piano players were also entertainers and they were super funny and charismatic. One guy could rap so well lol. Everyone I went with wanted to go back

Google
The pianists are impressive. $20 a song still seems a bit steep to me but some people were even tipping $50 or $60. The cocktail called “fishbowl” looked fun but tasted awful. The other cocktails were also not good.

Google
This is a unique place to enjoy live music in Seattle. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is interested in music. Although sometimes the music can be too loud but luckily they have ear plugs free of charge. I would highly recommend!

Google
Fantastic experience! We came for a Bachelorette party and there were two other wedding parties there as well. The musicians were entertaining and talented, and made sure each of the wedding parties got attention and had a great time. Excellent green tea shots!

Google
I went here in the last hour that they are open, so I can't give a fair assessment. The pianists, they seem like pretty cool cats, trying to get the small crowd that was left involved. I'm sure during the prime time of night this place is live and fun

Google
Fun, very fun. I wish they used the screen more often to show the guys playing the pianos. The talent is really very good. However, while I don't mind tipping the talent.... this place is not a high-cost operation, not fancy, they dont even have a kitchen, so I don't know why the drinks are SO expensive. It doesn't matter that "it's in Seattle" (hate that excuse for high prices), there is not much to this place! Drinks WAY too expensive for what you get, but I'm rating 4 stars bc the talent is excellent and we had a good time. The table service is extremely slow btw, but not a big deal to just go to the bar and get your own drinks.

Katie Wolbert

Google
So much fun! I still have no idea how they know and can perform all of these songs! Take cash to get your songs played and be ready to sing along! Being from FL I was extremely excited to find Mich Ultra here since low cal/carb beer doesn't seem to be a thing in Seattle.

Yelp
This was our 2nd time hitting this place up for my husband's birthday. He loves dueling piano bars. We made a reservation and did not know there was a cover charge. Okay whatever. There wasn't one last year. So we settle at a back table (the year before we were close to the pianos) thought with a reservation you would get more priority seating. Got some drinks and waited for the players to show up. They immediately start a spiel that if you want a song played it's $20. We were like what?!? That's crazy!!! Even Vegas doesn't do a minimum?!? Then you have to know the vibe of the crowd because even though you paid $20+ for a song of the players don't like it they will stop or change it. Not a great time. I think we paid a total of almost $200 (do they not get paid to play by the establishment?????) and maybe only 1/2 our songs got played. One of them they were basically begging for money to stop it.....so why play the song to begin with? You happily took our money for songs you didn't even play. Don't think we will go back. It's too bad because it is one of my husbands favorite things to do. We will save our money and hit the Vegas piano bars happily. If new management from last year it has gone down hill.

Yelp
Came by here for an event related to the conference. It was your typical piano bar. Nothing really great about the food or drinks. Friendly service and decent music.

Yelp
The drinks here are fantastic! This is a perfect spot to relax and hang out, and it's a place you can visit again and again. On Fridays and Saturdays, you can even request the staff to play your favorite songs on the piano, which adds a special touch. Absolutely loved the vibe of this place!

Yelp
Came here with a group of 8 for a birthday party. Charged a $10 cover fee per person to get in, which wasn't disclosed when we made the reservation. Weird, but whatever. We were so excited for the dueling pianos and song requests but at the beginning of the night they announced that song requests started at $20. Wtf?? At the Tacoma location they happily play songs for a $2 then stop to play another for a $5, and quickly stop to play another for $10 and will go back to a song if someone throws down an extra $10 (to make it $15 for the previous song) and so on. This is the part we find to be so much fun as it gets people feeling included and competitive. But the Seattle location wanted $20 just for them to start a song they wouldn't even play more than 1/4 of?! Absolutely not. I would rather sit and listen to a set list of songs and tip the performances at the end. $20-$50 for a 1-3 minute song clip is insane. Table service was slow and several drinks were forgotten or incorrect. It happens, but for the price it was disappointing. The service at the bar was fast. Highly recommended the Tacoma location but will not return to the Seattle location.

Yelp
What a fun night at Keys on Main. 5 stars to the piano guys who definitely put on a show. Very lively. We had a fun time. We didn't have reservations but got there early and the guy at the door let us know we could grab a table once the music started on any of the open tables, fuss this gives time to the people who reserve to show up or lose the tables. The show is great. They don't have any food (bummer!) Drinks were ok. I can't believe they charge you for soda water even though you are ordering double drinks and spending a good amount of money. Lame.

Yelp
I had an amazing night here. Loved the ambience and the music. The musicians knew most of all the songs and you will also laugh. Definitely going back.

Yelp
SO MUCH FUN!! The piano players are amazingly talented. We went on a thursday and there was no table service. Only one bartender working, and she worked her butt off. There was a line the whole night. Recommend getting reservations and arriving a little bit early. Bring cash so you can request songs with a tip. They do not serve food so we went out beforehand, but I think you can order from nearby. Also, even though the website mentions ladies night and cover charges, that info is outdated. Thursday is not ladies night, so no $4 drinks. I payed $12 for a strawberry lemondrop. Not too bad, but I wouldn't go here for the drink. Come to sing along!

Matthew D.

Yelp
So much fun. The musicians were great and the drinks were so good. I will def be back

Yelp
Fun atmosphere and great Jell-O shots! We were able to reserve a table for a large group. The duo was great very interactive with the audience!

Yelp
Such a fun bar! They are amazingly talented and it's good silly fun! There is a lot of seating so don't worry about having to stand. I went pretty late so I'm not sure what they really offer but worth the try!

Yelp
Took some out of town guests to see the dueling piano and the pianists were entertaining. They managed to egged guests to put down $40-65 to play a song and they were very good. Things to consider: 1) Parking is a struggle unless you go to a parking structure. 2) they don't serve food but will allow food to be delivered. 3) no pricing on the drinks and they range between $16-18. I think $11 for a can/bottle of beer (ASK SO YOU DONT GET A HEART ATTACK FROM THE BILL).
google avatar

Yelp
So, SO fun!!! We came for dueling pianos -- no cover on Thursdays. Tip: if you want to put in a request, bring plenty o' cash. The more you tip, and so long as your song request doesn't suck, the more likely it is that your request will go to the front of the line. This is a GREAT place for large groups of adults (make a reservation and show up early) with a good sense of humor and good taste in music. All genres, by the way -- from classic rock to r&b to country. Yes, there were a few groaners, but I blame the requesters, not the musicians. Great vocal and keyboard talent!

Christiane R.

Yelp
My sister and I are 58, we were denied entry because I guess we weren't good enough for the place. we were dressed casual nice. They decided that my twin's Canadian ID -with a picture and a birthdate - was not good enough for them. As if we were underage. I think that's pure age discrimination!! Make sure to wear high heels and show some butt skin to get in.

Yelp
Fun piano bar. Friday nights are less crowded. Long lines at the bar Saturday around 10:30. Reserve a table!

Tara-Marie D.

Yelp
Cannot recommend this place enough. I've been here the two times I've come to Seattle and had the most amazing experiences both times. There's no food, but you can bring your own or order some and have it delivered. The drinks are very strong, but honestly not that great... but the pianists create such a vibe that it makes up for it. Good vibes all around.
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
The bucket drinks were so good and pretty! The duel piano entrainment was amazing, had a girls night out and they all loved it there! Downfall they are only open certain days and times during the week.

Yelp
$5.00 per person to reserve a table, and $5.00 per person cover charge to get in. I'm ok with the cover charge, however paying $5.00 per person to reserve 2 seats at a banquet table is ridiculous. Had I known that prior to going, we could've just walked in. Probably would've had better seats too. Once the show started though, we had a blast. The guys on the piano are fun, lively, and get the crowd really going. The drinks were delish too. They had just the right amount of alcohol to mixer ratio.

Terry S.

Yelp
I popped in on a Saturday night. The vibe is decent, but I ordered an old fashioned and it was $30. I did ask for Basil Hayden, but $30? No big ice cube, no cherry, too much sugar, not great. Did I mention that it was $30? The staff are not hot, or even pretty, bit for $30 for a single cocktail, my expectations are high. I'll never go back.

Kayla H.

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday. Cocktails were $14 and not great. Vibes really not great but maybe better on the weekend

Yelp
Wow this place is so fun... not what I expected. Get ready for a grand time. Bring your tips

Yelp
From their site: Our Dueling Piano Show runs Thursday through Saturday. Doors open at 8:15 and all shows are from 9:00pm to 1:30am. Thursdays: No cover + $4 drink specials for ladies only Saturdays: $5 cover Sundays: $10 cover As far as dueling piano bars go, I've only gone to this one twice so far, and the Shout House in San Diego once. I've had a great time each visit because live music is just fun! I've only come here on Thursdays, and like that it's not super crowded, so finding a seat is not an issue. However, the Keys on Main Fish Bowl and Malibu Bucket ($15) are excluded from that deal, as they are meant for sharing. Also, if they suspect that a lady is ordering any other drink to share/give to a man, they will charge full price for the drink. Anyways, you should be coming to enjoy the music, not the drinks! I didn't even bother taking pictures of them my last visit, but here's what we got: - Pineapple-tini $4: Ladies Night pricing. I didn't like the aftertaste, so I wouldn't order this again. - Mojito $10: I just had a sip, but didn't like it. To be fair, I'm usually not into mojitos unless there's an extra fruit flavor. - Malibu Bucket $15: I like this one because it's super fruity. You can't even taste the alcohol. Anyways, the pianists I've seen have been fantastic. Talented and good at working off the crowd's energy. Some of my favorite song performances so far: - I Want It That Way (BSB forever!!) - Hotel California - Despacito - Everything Is Awesome (LEGO convention attendees were a fun crowd!) - Baby Shark - Gangnam Style - Forgot About Dre

Yelp
Great experience and so fun! Loved the pianists, they have great personalities and very talented. Drinks were either too weak or too strong and they don't serve food but allow outside food so my group ordered food delivery. Definitely plan to spend money because most everyone pays $10-20 per song request. Drink up, request your music, and have fun!!!

Yelp
My favorite place to go on weekends! All request dueling pianos is amazing! They do classics such as Piano Man but also newer songs like Unholy by Sam Smith. The servers are very helpful and bartenders will help you too if you need anything! Security was very friendly too. No food but they let you bring things in, we got Razzis pizza from down the block and it was phenomenal!!

Yelp
Matt the manager was faced with staff not showing and a CO2 malfunction with soda spraying everywhere but he managed to make good drinks and the show did go on. This was a Fun night! With a group from LEGO adding to the variety of songs they rocked hard and 'Everything was Awesome'. Talented musicians, excellent duo on the pianos. Great way to spend the evening

Yelp
My favorite place to go out!! They're hilarious, and it's so fun. Friday and Saturday nights when I've gone are crazy. They have a cover those nights and full priced drinks - but it's still worth it! Thursday - no cover and $4 drinks! Super fun for girls night! 6/5

Yelp
Omg. We've never had more fun in our lives. This place was sooo great. I cannot wait to take all my friends here.

Yelp
This is such a fun place and I had such a great time! While on a winery tour, we made a friend from California whom we invited to dinner and in turn, invited us to this piano bar. Honestly, I had no idea what to expect but once we got there, we found out it was ladies night (Thursday, $4 drinks for the ladies -- score!!!) and had such an awesome time. The bartender was by herself so we had a fairly rough start as she had no help when a bunch of people came pouring in from the front door. She made an awesome old fashioned and a French martini though! The show had already semi started when we came in. Two guys playing the piano live and they take requests the whole night! So, you write your request on a piece of paper, bring it up on stage to whomever you want to play your request along with a $5 tip (or more if you want your song prioritized) and they will play it for you. Yes, they sing the lyrics, too and get very animated when it comes to certain upbeat songs! I had a great time, of course... Requested a few songs and after the night was over, I really didn't spend that much either since it was ladies night. My stars were aligned. The place was clean, the bathrooms were also well-maintained. I wish they had a place like this in my city. I'd love to go back if I ever find myself in Seattle again.

Yelp
Dueling piano bar... I think of this as karaoke without the mic, and everyone is singing along. IT'S AWESOME. Everyone's having a great time, the pianists are ridiculously talented, and the drinks are yummy. I didn't purchase a seat so I stood in the bar area the whole night (but I kind of preferred that because I could dance around rather than stay seated.) $10 cover. The songs played probably differ somewhat based on the crowd, but when I was there, it was a lot of classics i.e. Journey and a little bit of 90's hip hop.

Yelp
I rarely write negative reviews but the treatment me and my group received last Saturday evening was horrific. I made reservations and received an email confirmation to celebrate my birthday. We showed up to check in at 8:30pm and was told that although I had a reservation, they did not have space or a table for us. Mind you I paid it, had an email confirmation, and they verified it. When I asked to speak to a manager the host went to seek him out. Twenty minutes later he still had not come to the front. I went to the bar to let him know I was waiting and he said I would have to wait. Rudely mind you. Another ten minutes had passed and I asked him one more time. He then turned even more rude and began to be patronizing. After 45 minutes of waiting, meanwhile the show had started, we left. For MY birthday I was treated horribly, without regard, and completely disrespectful by the manager nonetheless. We were out entertainment for the evening as other venues we attempted to go were sold out. I would rethink or possibly call to verify that you actually have a spot before showing up. Apparently having a paid reservation means nothing and the management team will not help you if there are any issues. Will never attempt to go there again.

Yelp
The concept is fun..dueling pianos playing requested songs from the crowd in a bar setting. I went on a Thursday so there was no cover charge, but really, it's not a place I would think should have a cover charge. It's a decent sized venue, lots of places to sit, and a bar in the back. The pianists take requests from the audience and are not shy to mention that the higher the tip, the quicker that song will get played. Ok, makes sense. But they're also not shy to point out and judge the customers who tip only $1 with their request. One pianist even said "here's for that one dollar..." and literally sang one line of the requested song then moved on to a higher tipping customer's request. Wow..rude much? And no, that requested song was not mine. I didn't request anything. I just watched. The pianists are talented musicians and seem to really be able to play anything in a minute's notice. But to have an entitled attitude where they lack appreciation for $1 tippers is just rude. I'm not saying they should only get $1 but I am saying that they should appreciate whatever tip comes their way. Overall it's a cool spot and fun to watch. But if it means watching musicians call out people on how much they tip or didn't tip...then I'd rather listen to a DJ.

Yelp
*Update: Went in on Saturday night at 10pm and paid $10 cover. They must be under new ownership because everything about the place is different. They no longer serve any food but you can order in from nearby places or bring your own food. Drink prices are not listed in the menu - who doesn't list prices in a menu?! The entire show format was very contrived. The dueling pianists clearly had an agenda: get drunk people in bidding wars to hear a maximum of 2 minutes of the song they paid for, unless someone else paid $1 more to have it stopped. At one point the ladies in the room chipped in to pay $61 to hear Backstreet Boys "I Want It That Way" only to have some guy in the back (dressed in all black like the employees of the business) put down $62 to stop the song after a minute. What a hoax. If I was there for a bachelorette and spent as much money as the folks on Saturday did only to hear small parts of songs I actually like I would have been even more upset than I was. The crowd was 80% bachelorette parties 10% old drunk people standing up in the middle of the room waving their arms for the entire show, and 10% people who had been there before and were shocked at the changes like me and my friend. How does a place I once gave a 5-star review for become a 1-star business? When exponential growth in profits come before making sure patrons have a good time. I won't return to this place if this kind of practice continues. I'd rather pay $14/drink and hear music I want to hear than $5-9/drink and be forced to experience the song and dance run around they are now giving. Original review: Great pianists and intimate spot. Love visiting this place. Can get crowded on weekends so get there early if you have a big group.

Yelp
Keys on Main, I believe, is a chain, which is cool because it means I can go to other keys on mains in other cities! On a whim, we decided to walk in and experience a great night of fun and entertainment. We paid the entrance fee, but there were no tables available, so we sat on the stools against the railing. They ended up being pretty great seats and we were close to the bar, so we could easily walk up to get drinks. The singers/musicians here are phenomenal. They're funny, charismatic and just so so musically talented. So the way this works is that you write down a song title and offer up a tip for the musicians to duel out on their pianos. If someone else out tips you though, they'll switch songs. I like that all the musicians have different personalities and that they aren't all thaaaat raunchy. The one they tease about not having a girlfriend is cute, too!
google avatar

Tara R.

Yelp
Live piano is a cool idea for a bar, but this place seemed a little too advertise-y. They only play your song when you drop a $20, or if it's your birthday or anniversary. Within the hour I was there for there were at least 8 celebratory songs and they have the person come up on stage. It can be a little tedious. Drinks are relatively cheap ~$8, but the service isn't too great. Waitresses and waiters walk the floor but you really have to go out of your way to flag them down. If you want to just walk up to the bar you can do that too, but the bartenders are so busy it takes a while to get a drink. It can be fun for a little, but I would only say this a good spot to drop in for a little. It cleared out so quickly around 10pm even though the pianists were still playing and taking requests.

Yelp
I came here on a Thursday night during a quick trip to Seattle. Quality: definitely 4.5+ stars. The 2 male pianists happen to be both quite good on the piano, with excellent vocal range, able to perform female vocals, and hard rock. One was able to rap as well! Environment/service: 3 stars. It was moderately busy, especially for a Thursday night. There was only 1 bartender so it took some time to get a drink. Value: 4 stars. No cover on Thursday is certainly a win. If you don't have a burning desire to hear your favorite played/sang, then it'll be fun and quite affordable. The two pianists were pretty good, so its not a surprise that they had plenty of $10-$50 (mostly $20) tips for each song request. The drinks are a little pricey, but I think Thursday is also ladies night so it should be only $4 for the ladies. Also, the pours are decent/slightly generous so it sorta evens out.

Yelp
I was very disappointed with my recent experience at Keys on Main on NYE. I was so excited to enjoy a piano bar on NYE as I've very-much enjoyed such bars in the past but was extremely upset at the way we were treated. I invited 8 friends to join me for the evening and made a reservation in the general section for 9 people. I saw several references to having a "table" on the website and was told that my group could lose our "table" if we were not to all show up by 8:45 pm. I also saw on the website that although they do not serve food at Keys on Main, they allow outside food and that we could have our serve bring our food to our table. When we entered the bar for the evening, we saw several long tables with chairs on either side. We were directed, instead, though to sit in a row of taller bar-size chairs in the corner of the restaurant, along the window. These chairs faced the back of one of the piano players and were elevated above the rest of the audience, thus creating an experience where we felt as though we were just surveyors of the evening and not participants. We were told that we had not reserved a "table" but only "seats" in the bar in a disrespectful manner from the manager. We could tell that the place had just been overbooked as we were the only people that need be alongside the side of the restaurant at an elevated height. We paid $20 each for those seats and were not even given any drink menus or song request cards. Needless to say, we felt shafted and overlooked. Also - the food situation was not as we imagined. We had to research the restaurants nearby ourselves and order on our own. We needed to meet the delivery person at the door and then hold a pizza box along with our drinks on our laps. Last but not least, my group was not able to talk amongst ourselves throughout the show as we could see was possible at the tables. We were lined along the side instead of sitting across from each other and could not move easily up and down our line due to tables crowding closely along our legs. This experience was among the worst I have had at any establishment. The one area that we felt equal to other patrons was thanks to our very kind server.

Yelp
Keys on main is so much fun and the pianists are crazy talented. It's a great place to go for a wide variety of celebrations. Would recommend making a reservation as spots can fill up quickly on the weekend. The only downside was the the drink menu. It's a pretty basic cocktail list and nothing is stellar, but you're not going there for the specialty drinks. Would highly recommend checking it out at least once!

Yelp
KEYS ON MAIN. A MUST-GO IF YOU'RE VISITING SEATTLE. A GO-TO IF YOU LIVE IN SEATTLE. Prepare for THE ultimate sing-along piano bar you've ever witnessed. Shows: Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays starting at 9pm until 1:30am Covers: $0 on Thursdays, $5 on Fridays, and $10 on Saturdays Interior: Two grand pianos on a brightly lit stage, a large sign above them, and around 6 long tables with seating as well as high chairs and standing areas on the side and back of a dimly lit space Experience: Request-driven shows in which talented pianists who can also sing pretty well play any song that audience members request. These song requests are written on slips of paper with money attached to them (higher bids usually get played first and you can kill a song by bidding higher than the current song bid!) Each night is bound to be different with different music tastes and different tolerances for bidding on song requests! ;) The pianists are amazing at playing piano, singing their lungs off, entertaining the crowd (jokes can get a bit vulgar sometimes!), improvising on the spot, and just having fun. Just go! It's very very loud since everybody sings along to all the songs, but it's also amazing to witness such crazy talent in an incredibly unique and fun atmosphere!

Yelp
Such a fun experience! I came here with a group for a bachelorette party on a Friday so we had a larger lounge space all to ourselves which was great. The staff was fantastic and incredibly attentive. But the main attraction was obviously the dueling pianos and these guys were the best! Absolutely amazing and so talented. They gave our bride-to-be a special song and brought her up on stage which was fun. Will for sure be coming here again!

Yelp
I found this to be a very expensive experience for what it was. We paid $300 up front for a"VIP" table, then still had to each pay a $10 cash cover. When we got in, our "VIP" table was just a normal table, no different from any of the rest and not even in a very good location. We talked to the manager who told us that the people at better tables actually paid MORE than us, which seemed rude since we didn't realize that reserving a table was a bidding war. The drinks were okay, expensive and not amazing. But the service was really bad. Me and a few friends (all early 20s girls) went to the bar for drinks and the bartender went ahead and made drinks for about 10 people who ordered AFTER us before he got around to making ours. We asked why everyone was getting served before us and they said "well we aren't giving anyone preferential treatment." Kind of hard to believe. It seriously took them 15 minutes to get us SHOTS while we waited at the bar and watched them serve everyone else in line. And the staff were all super rude about it. On top of all the money we already paid too, we didn't realize you had to BRIBE the pianists for song requests. They were basically up there begging for money the whole time. We had to pay them $60 to acknowledge my friends birthday, but at the end of it they just kept calling up a very drunk woman to the stage because she was feeding them $100s. It was sad and hard to watch. The pianos were cool, but I wouldn't say it was worth the money or bad service. The place wasn't very nice either, pretty sticky with awful seating. If you're looking for a great experience, find somewhere else.

Yelp
Wow. There is really no experience this can be compared to. The inside is set up with two pianos on a stage, about 5-6 beerhall-style tables, meaning just a long table that you share with other people, and standing room in the back in front of the bar. They only have shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, starting at 9 until 1:30, and the cover charges are $0 on Thursdays, $5 on Fridays, and $10 on Saturdays. I can comfortably say that even for $10, the cover is incredibly worth it, so $5 and $0 are no brainers if you can afford staying out so late. Either way, the shows are basically all request driven; the crowd requests songs by leaving tips on the pianos, and they're (roughly) played from largest tip to smallest tip. You can even pay one more dollar than the requested price to kill a song if you don't like it, which can lead to some pretty entertaining (and expensive) bidding wars! They know pretty much any song of any genre and their improvisation skills are off the charts too. They sure know how to keep people entertained and engaged, and it's really juts non-stop fun for the whole night! I will definitely be back because every night comes with new requests and the musicians switch off too. I'm definitely adding this to my go-to spots for fun in Seattle and you should too!

Yelp
So fun!! And dang those guys are TALENTED!!! They could play/sing anything (gangsta rap, Elton John, lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Cardi B). The pianists indicated they wanted songs more fun than classic rock and the usuals so we got lots of rap and other songs that we found hard to sing along to. Might be a good plan by management to have a classic rock night and an 'everything else' night so ppl can choose which they prefer. We made a rez but didn't need to. Could have walked in at 9 or later and gotten a table. There definitely would have been standing room at any hour. The website calendar made it look to me like it wasn't happening or was sold out and that definitely wasn't the case.

Yelp
It's hard for me to think of piano as much more than that large instrument my parents forced me to play when I was young, so when I heard this place had two of them I didn't think much of it. Let me just say this isn't your grandma's slow jams snore fest. I had so much unexpected fun the first time I went and I've been back several times since. It's two people playing songs that the audience requests. You can pretty much request anything and they'll play it. If they don't know the song (that doesn't happen often), they'll look it up on the spot and do their best, which is usually pretty great. There are two guys in particular that are my favorites. The there's one with long hair that does a great cover of any Micheal Jackson song and there's a dude that wears a hat and glasses who's phenomenal at rapping. Oh, one thing to note is I'm pretty sure they don't serve food here so if you want to eat anything you'll need to order delivery or come fed. Hope you enjoy this place as much as I do!

Yelp
Such a fun night scream singing all of our favorite songs. Leave your request with a tip and they will know how to play it. So talented. If you don't have a reservation, make sure you show up before doors open to get a table. Would certainly return.

Yelp
After an intense game of dodgeball, I came for ladies' night with ma friends. And Chris on the Keys was super fun and not-Chris too! They seemed very interested in my dodgeball game which I took to heart. And the bartender Leanne was a gem. Definitely plan to return again for another memorable time!

Yelp
The piano playing was impressive and the entertainers were talented. That being said, the bald dude with the beard and giant hipster glasses made a comment about how he noticed early in the night that the audience was still too sober and "very Caucasian" hence needed to teach them how to clap on beat. Being a woman of color, I looked around and was like "hmm I guess non-white people are invisible?" but brushed it off as him just trying to make a joke. But when the other entertainer made a joke about how "all the white girls" were the only ones that shrieked when he asked who liked 90s R&B I again was like "really?? Again with the white people jokes?" And they made that joke twice. Not funny, super invalidating for the diversity of the audience and annoying AF. The other jokes the entertainers made throughout the night were overall crass and immature. But they play great piano.

Yelp
Totally not what I was expecting when I heard "it's a piano bar". The place is a little rowdy; very fun, pretty loud, with a lot of energy. The room was packed with what seemed to be mostly birthday and bachelorette parties. There were two guys playing piano/keyboard and singing. They would take requests on cards with tips attached to them and would order the songs based on the tips. People were requesting all kinds of songs and the guys seemed to handle it well. The number of folks packed in, and everyone's good mood, made it a pretty fun and energetic room. I was expecting a hard time getting a drink but my server (I think her name was Trina) was able to squeeze past the adjacent bachelorette party to get me my beer. Don't come here if you want nice, quiet piano music. Do come if you want to sing or even dance along with a raucous room of folks to some fun, bumpin music.

Yelp
Whenever I tell people about this dueling piano bar, they expect it to be peaceful and jazzy. It is definitely lively and exciting, and the super talented musicians really know how to get the crowd going. There's almost always at least one birthday in the house, whose friends get them on stage where they are serenaded with a dirty song. The crowd is always singing along, dancing, and having a good time! $10 on Saturdays, $5 on Fridays, and free for ladies on Thursdays, the value is great. You'll have to pay more to request songs, which can be $40+ on a busy night but a mere $5 on a slower one. Drinks are reasonably priced - I always opt for the Malibu Bucket! I've come to Keys on Main a fair number of times. I've noticed that the same songs are played and the same jokes are told, but I suppose that is expected when you go on 3 times a week and need to consistently provide quality entertainment. Again, the musicians are extremely talented, and the music is pretty spectacular. Overall, it's always a fun time!

Yelp
I moved to Seattle about a year ago from California and Ive been trying to look for a spot with good music and some good fun. I stumbled across Keys on Main on a news article and i decided to check it out tonight. I enjoyed it so much, good drinks, good musicians, good venue. Chris was so amazing. I want to see and hear more from him! I dont know what the other guys name is, but he too was great! I think i want to do my birthday there next month! But yeah, Chris' voice is amazing. I requested Neon Trees and he did such an awesome job! I want to hear more from him and I think this will be my go to place every Thursday nights! Thanks for a great night!!! Francis

Yelp
So let me preface this review by saying, we came on the wrong night. There were no less than 6 bride-to-be parties happening at this dueling piano bar at 10pm on a Saturday night. While they were having what seemed like a good time, and I'm sure they would say the night was amazing, I was not a fan. The entire place reminded me of the "Woo Girls" episode from HIMYM. On to the review! The drinks were weaker than usual, but the servers were super attentive and your glass (made out of plastic. Yes, plasticware) can be refilled the moment you are done. I appreciated the level of service, especially since there was barely room to move in that place. The real talent of this place is exactly what you would think: the dueling pianists! Oh man, these guys (there was a rotation of three) were phenomenal. I was so impressed by the sheer level of talent and ability to improvise. While I wasn't a fan of most of the song selections (see above for crowd demographics), the musicians were amazing! They are the only reason we stayed as long as we did. Bravo, fellas.
