KHANOM THAI BZN

Out of the Thai places in the whole Greater Yellowstone area, this definitely takes the cake. Only thing is if you want their pad Thai to taste the way it’s meant to taste, you have to come dine in for it, as I’ve ordered takeout twice & both times the pad Thai just did not slap the way it does in person, I’m sure likely the sauce looses its moisture/consistency in the to go boxes. However, every appetizer I tried were also just as great.

A very new, souther Thai restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is very clean. I ordered the pawpaw salad, stir fried basil bison and rice and roti with curried beef. The selections were very tasty, the spice level was on point and the portions were very good. However, I didn’t like the fried egg in the ground bison but it did not take away from the food. The location is absolutely nice. Quite a variety of teas and non-alcoholic beverages.

This is the best Thai food I’ve had in a while! It’s definitely the best you can find in bozeman. This is a family run restaurant and their food is incredibly authentic. There’s tons of options on the menu and we can’t wait to go back to try more. Full review at @mountaintimemunch on Instagram

Wow! Thank you for being here and thank you for such great and varied flavors. It’s been open for about a month and I’m so happy it’s here. It’s in one of the newer areas of Bozeman so it’s kind of cool to see. For the food-it is spicy, we had a 2/5 for spicy and it was hot! So be aware that 1 is probably best for weak Montana palates. A truly authentic Thai restaurant featuring southern Thailand cuisine. This is some of the best we have had outside of Thailand. The fresh spring roll was flavorful and came with a delicious dipping sauce. The larb salad was a unique twist on a favorite and we really enjoyed the sweet, spicy, tangy dressing and the crunch. The green curry was flavorful and nicely spiced. The pad see ewe was a bit heavy on the oyster sauce and the Thai tea was a tad too sweet but overall the service was excellent and the food delicious. Khanom Thai is open until 11:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays only. Today I ordered the omelet and shrimp tempura. It was very delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also inviting.

Food was really good but wow the takeout portions are tiny. For similar pricing, you can get 2-3x the amount at Thai Basil or Rice. Won’t be going back unless they greatly increase their portion sizes. Not fun to get home and open up when you’re starving. Also there was barely any chicken in the pad Thai.

Delicious food and excellent guest service. So many vegetarian options. Side note: If you are unclear about an item, you can ask them to clarify (as I saw a guest being very rude to one of the servers thinking ground meat meant specifically ground beef and it was ground chicken). If you’re unsure, just ask! Be kind.
