I've been here 4 times and it's consistently good. This time, we had the fish cakes (tod mun pla), papaya salad (som tum), pad see ew, spicy eggplant basil with chicken, and green curry with vegetables/tofu. Not all Thai restaurants have the fish cakes so whenever I see them on a menu, I order it. They were very good with a bit of a springy texture, but I do prefer them with a bit more spice. The papaya salad was bright and flavorful with a good amount spice that tingled on the tongue.
The pad see ew was great! Lots of good vegetables cooked just right and there seemed to be a bit of wok hei going on. The spicy eggplant was just as good, and you get to add a protein. So it was really gai pad krapow (sliced chicken, not minced) with Chinese eggplant added. If you're familiar with pad krapow dishes from other good Thai restaurants, this one should live up to your expectations.
The green curry with vegetables and fried tofu was alright, but it was a bit weak. I think because we ordered the vegetable version, a lot of water came out and diluted the flavor. It was still good, but if I were to order green curry again, I'd get a meat rather than vegetables.
Overall, this was a really good meal and we're sure to go back. Please note, they will add a 3% surcharge if you pay by credit card. This is because they are getting hit with credit card processing fees. If you pay debit or cash, you won't be charged this. This notice might have been posted at the front or somewhere else, but I only saw it when they gave me the bill folder. They were very polite in explaining it and since I had the cash, I had no problem paying that way. Feel how you want about these fees and whether or not they should be baked into the price of the meal. I'm fine helping out a small business and paying cash.
