This is a highly recommended rice porridge (khao tom) restaurant if you are visiting or driving through Ayutthaya. The food is excellent for this style of restaurant. We ordered around 12 dishes for a group of 8 people.
There is no printed menu, so it’s best to look up the menu in advance from online reviews. Recommended dishes include crispy pork, boiled mustard greens with minced pork (with a clear, tom-yum–style broth), stir-fried vegetables with tofu, Thai dried gourami salad, and stir-fried clams with chili paste.
The owner provides good service and speaks loudly, which seems to be part of the restaurant’s character. If you are visiting on a weekend or holiday, it’s recommended to call ahead to reserve a table.
The restaurant does not serve omelets, so there’s no need to order that.
Overall, it’s very good value for money and definitely worth a visit if you have time.
