The 16 Best Thai Restaurants In San Francisco - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"If we had it our way, the spicy-sweet grilled prawn salad from Khob Khun would be the Richmond’s neighborhood ambassador. It steals the show at every meal here, thanks a chili sauce we want on everything. It’s not the only reason to return weekly to this spot—their menu of mostly Thai staples, like the tender duck curry and beef noodle soup, is fantastic. Plus, Khob Khun is the only spot on this guide that serves brunch. So when you wake up feeling gremlin-like and need a spot to revive yourself over french toast, Thai congee, and moo ping, get here." - julia chen 1, lani conway, ricky rodriguez

Khob Khun Thai Cuisine & Breakfast - Review - Richmond - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Khob Khun draws you in with hanging flower bouquets everywhere and a spacious dining room. The casual Thai restaurant in the Richmond is just where you want to spend a weeknight meal or extra-long breakfast—especially considering they serve standout curries and other Thai staples like noodles, fried rice, and soups. One dish to focus on is the roasted duck curry. It's loaded with chunks of pineapples and whole cherry tomatoes that burst in your mouth, and has a rich depth of flavor and a heat that lingers." - Julia Chen

Google
I believed they just moved to this new location and the furnitures are new, making the environment and atmosphere very enjoyable. We opted to sit by the window which was more quiet and intimate, perfect for a date night. The food was very good and prices aren’t bad at all comparing with neighboring Thai restaurants. I love that they have a lot of non-alcohol fruity drinks. Very refreshing! Tom Kha (coconut milk soup) is very comforting. So I made a note to come back for to when the night is cold or I get sick🥲 Yum Naem Kao tod has the sour fermented sausage I like. Kinda like the Vietnamese version of nem. Will def come back again!! Yum!

Google
BEST French toast I’ve ever had, banana crème brûlée, they torch the banana. Spicy basil over rice was incredible, a REAL fried egg on that thing. The red curry was a little over salted but we took it home, added a bit of water, and lots more fish sauce, and it turned out amazing! Wonderful place that’s reasonably easy priced as well. Highly recommend!!!

Google
A nice birthday surprise, my friends took me to Khob, my first time here. There were not kidding when they said the make the best pad thai noodles. Everything we had was amazing and m birthday banana lumpia with ice cream topped it off thank you. I found out the also make breakfast - will have to come back to check it out.

Google
We were surprised how good the food tasted. They use a variety of ingredients vs many places that use the same three veggies ( carrot, onion, bell pepper) in all their dishes. Food tasted fresh and spice level was on mark (mild). We are excited to have found a new Thai place.

Google
SUCH friendly staff and so many options! From Thai breakfast, to American breakfast, to fancy Ube pancakes and pandan waffles they have it all!!! They have really cute drink selection too! The atmosphere is super cute and it’s tucked away on Geary!! Super wonderful experience, very fresh, and would come again!!! I would say that I expected my meat to come on the side of my omelette not inside of it but that’s just an observation for next time!

Google
Delicious Thai restaurant. I’ve had their soups, curries and stir fries. You can’t go wrong with any of their plates.

Google
Came at 10am and it was not too busy. When we left at 12, there were only a couple tables left. The black coffee was standard but refillable. The pandan waffle was great. The fried chicken was fried well but I was not a fan of the sticky rice. The Thai omelet was a bit soggier than I hoped but the flavor was good. I would get the mushroom rice porridge again.

Google
Had a great time here again. I brought my friends and family for the first time, and we were all really happy. The Tom Yum Goong Benedict and the Ube Pancakes were always amazing. Thanks for having us

Yelp
We came to the new location at 3809 Geary Blvd. to enjoy the comfort of the beautifully designed space while savoring Khob Khun's excellent Thai cuisine. Service is always friendly and gracious. The Papaya Salad is crisp and refreshing with its mildly spicy dressing. The Eggplant Basil and Chicken has delicious flavor notes to satisfy your appetite. The menu always delights us...

Yelp
Came by for an early dinner time snack on a Tuesday. Cozy ambiance and very friendly staff. Lemonade was strong (not watery!) and my son loved the cute paper umbrella. Thai iced tea was tasty. Both were a bit pricey but presentation and portion was good. Fried calamari was cross hatched squid bodies fried to a perfect crisp and came with a sweet chili sauce that was barely spicy. Kid loved it. Had a side of sticky rice that came very hot and wrapped up in foil. Lots of care put into all the food presentation. Menu has a lot of tasty looking options so I look forward to exploring them next time!

Yelp
Omg no, this place is skimpy and overpriced. Like $20 for some curry with no duck in it. My friend was like what is going on here? Flavor was lacking and everything tasted old and pre-made. Slow service when we're the only ones here as this restaurant is looking to relocate. The pad see ew was meh. For almost $50 we left hungry and had to go to grab fast food afterwards. You will not catch us at their new location. Not sure about the high ratings here.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner. Got seated right away and ordered. Service was great and place is cute and clean. I appreciate the tables having space between them as it felt spacious in the restaurant and not so crowded. We ordered the tom kha soup and panang curry. The soup was a bit disappointing. The broth felt heavy and really sweet. It didn't feel authentic. Beef in the soup was fine and then just onion and large chunks of mushroom. The curry had a lil spice but also seemed heavy and sweet at the same time. Pork was tender and great. The only fresh veggies were strips of green and red pepper and then clearly frozen peas and carrots which I found a bit odd. Rice doesn't come with the dishes so have to order it on the side. Prices and menu were pretty typical for SF and Thai restaurants.

Yelp
Stopped in on Saturday afternoon. The pad see ew was very good, lots of egg, chicken, and fresh veggies in an average-sized portion. Each dish was prettily garnished with an orchid flower (edible?). Prices are typical for San Francisco -- high. Ambience is minimal, with hard bench seating. Though the restaurant was half-empty, the manager would not seat me near an outlet to charge my phone or plug in my phone at the counter. Despite the good food, I will not return due to ungracious service.

Yelp
lovely thai spot and their sizzling plate was so yummy. the pad see ew was great as well-- i think the flavors were spot on. you do have to order rice on the side if you want so just a note that the dishes do not come with it. street parking is available and be sure to go to the correct location! theres plenty of seating and the kitchen is open concept which was nice and honest. the lady was kind and took in our order and served the dishes promptly. id love to come back and try other foods!

Yelp
Went to the new location down the block from the previous location for breakfast. Nice and bright space. Had the khob khun bacon with the fried chicken and sticky rice plus Kai ka tah a light breakfast platter with drink. Enjoyable meal.

Yelp
Service: 5/5 - very welcoming and friendly Cleanliness: 5/5 Food: 3.5/5 - I expected more flavor and spice - Duck noodle soup: 3.5/5 - cooked well but was pretty bland - Pad Thai: 3/5 - very sweet - Lychee iced tea: 4/5 - mostly ice, could drink it all in a few sips Everything was so sweet that I didn't not need a dessert afterwards.

Yelp
One of the best kao soi gai I've had in the city! This delicious bowl of curry noodle soup was extremely creamy, fragrant, and well constructed. The chicken had a fall off the bone texture which paired perfectly with the egg noodles. Service was quick and efficient. Will definitely be back to the their other dishes

Yelp
I dined here with a somewhat large party. The place had a good amount of groups come through so I was glad we made reservations. Our server was warm and friendly. She asked if we wanted a high chair and brought one out for us. There were other groups with small children as well so it seems pretty family friendly. I was excited to try out the Thai breakfast menu and saw a lot of good options. The menu is pretty extensive. I ended up going with the Thai rice soup with white fish which was tasty and nourishing. The rest of the party's dishes looked really good too. Looking forward to coming back in the future to try more menu items!

Yelp
we came around 8:30pm on saturday (they close at 9pm) but they were still super welcoming and accommodating. food came out fast, and the staff were swift in refilling our waters and clearing our plates. we ordered: - coconut shrimp ($13.25): shrimp was a bit overcooked - pad thai ($17.95): noodles had a nice texture but the dish was pretty sweet - duck noodle soup ($17.95): broth was delicious, also on the sweeter side but I loved the duck and noodles - crab fried rice ($21.95): pretty good and smoky fried rice but the crab chunks tasted a bit overcooked - mango sticky rice ($10.95): delicious I just wish there was more - pandan waffle with pandan custard ($14.95): pandan custard was delicious but I wish the waffle was crispier outside

Yelp
Good food. Stellar service, exceptional vibes. Fantastic and unique spot for a late morning breakfast.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Sunday for some lunch here and left very full! The food is 10/10!! The fried rice was my favorite; it was cooked to perfection. We also got the khao soi which was so flavorful and delicious. We also got the calamari and pad kee mao which were also good. The presentation of the food was a really nice touch! The place seems family-owned and the service was great. Parking on this street wasn't too bad either. My partner and I had a nice time here and would love to come back!

Yelp
This was a hard review to write... And I try not to give 1 star reviews, but... Yelp Check-in = Thai Iced Tea with check-in. Which they did NOT honor!! Foam (the waitress) walked away as we clicked "use it now" on the Yelp app because she was not able to handle the 4 tables of customers. We showed her that we checked in and she would still NOT honor it. She said she had to see the red screen which disappears after a couple of seconds and you can not re-check in until 4 hours later. Poor service and honestly, pretty disrespectful. Quality/Quantity - Pork Pad See Ew - This was the best of the dishes. Simple, hard to not get right. Chicken Eggplant Basil - The eggplant was tough... I was not able to eat the "skin" of the eggplant. Seafood Pad Cha - This was okay, but low quantity. Overall the food was just okay. Atmosphere - Small local restaurant. Actually a good size, but not too many tables?? But that makes sense as our waitress was not able to service 4 tables. Open 7 days a week from 9am or 10:30am to 9pm or 9:30pm. Service - This is where they failed. At first, we felt sorry for the one waitress. As she was running around with her head chopped off. And she wanted to see my Yelp check-in, but I was in the middle of uploading my initial pictures. When she came back, I proceeded to show her, but she ran away again??? Well you can't pull back up that "red check in screen" but I showed her that I checked in. We even showed her the screen that read, "Sorry, you can't check in AGAIN until after 4 hours." She said she had to push the button herself. She said we might have used the offer already? What??? Even if that is true, check-ins are once a day, so you are saying that I came here earlier and spent $$ and already got a free ice tea??? If true, wouldn't that be a good thing? Wouldn't you have seen us??? If the owners care, they really have to train the staff better. To lose a customer for a Thai Iced Tea (food cost about 25 cents) is just really poor business practices. Especially as it was the staff's fault for running away from us multiple times as she could not handle the 4 tables. We have never experienced a Yelp check in where the employee has to touch the customer's phone and click the button themselves. Is that even food safe...? Price - $60, and yes I still gave her a tip. I blame the owners more, but basic common sense should dictate that a customer is worth more than an iced tea/cents... Owner Comment - Good luck. Again, for the iced tea/cents. If the food was good, we would give them a second chance and we like/try to support locals.

Yelp
Hands-down best take out thai option this side of the city at this price point. Nice that this is not a super busy section of Geary so metered and side street parking is easy to find. Favorite Curry: yellow pumpkin Favorite appetizer: Larb (as spicy or not as you like it) Favorite Noodle: Pad Kee Mao (aka drunken noodles)

Howard J.

Yelp
The new venue is so cool, the food, at least the Joke (congee) I had for brunch, is so good. Great to see the community is already on board; a dad wearing a DadGPT T-shirt; eight "we're family" Zers; a steady stream of gig fetchers...

Yelp
I have no notes. What a great date night dinner. The service was incredibly speedy, the atmosphere was open and friendly, and the staff were gracious and helpful. We got the cream cheese wontons, the tom kha soup, yellow chicken curry, and pad thai noodles, all of which I highly recommend! Each was bursting with flavor, incredibly aromatic, warm and filling. They definitely give you your money's worth in noodles with the pad thai (at many other restaurants it's half filled with bean sprouts), the tom kha was perfectly balanced and delectable, and the curry was delicious as well. We will be back! P.S. Check in on Yelp for a free Thai tea!

Karina B.

Yelp
I have ordered takeout from this spot frequently but this was my first visit in person and it was even better than expected. Super simple decor but the Thai food is simple, comforting, and flavorful. The chicken wing appetizer is so sweet and spicy! Highly recommend. Pad Thai is delicious and not overly sweet.
google avatar

Rose P.

Yelp
Today was my first time here so I have to order the basic, Basil chicken. It was delicious! Just to note they didn't use Thai basil, but it was still yummy. I got mine medium spicy and it was perfect, but if you really like your food spicy you need to go much higher than medium. My mom finished her gigantic bowl of mushroom congee with the donuts on the side...so we can assume she loves it! The pandan waffle smelled amazing and tasted good but it didn't have that crunchy edge I hoped for. Service was friendly, ambiance is nice and casual. They honored my yelp check in with a free Thai iced tea :)

Yelp
Cool that they have breakfast here which looks good from their pictures they have up. But we were there for dinner for 15 people. If you give reservations ahead of time, they made a nice table for us that fit all of us. We ate early which was good because it got quite busy later on. Also note parking surprisingly was easy-one even parked right in front of the restaurant. Just to let you all know that even though the meters don't indicate it on the meter, Sundays are free. I called the 311 number on the meter to ask (they did say on Sundays there are certain areas you still have to pay, but this area was free). So just a tip there. Friendly staff that were very accommodating and attentive. Now food is where it counts. And we ordered a wide variety of dishes to try. Pumpkin curry with chicken-this was a bit thin/watery on the curry sauce, but was good. Although the pumpkin itself was bland and not sweet at all more like just a plain squash taste. They could make the sauce thicker, but this one was better than the green curry dish in this particular restaurant. Normally I like the green curry better in general, but not here in this case. I would say 3.5/5 Pad Thai-this was just ok-did not have as much a peanut taste, kind of bland. We added chicken. But there was a good amount of noodles. 3/5 Pad See Ew with beef-this did not have the usual sweet soy sauce taste. It was ok and the beef was good. This dish was still good and I liked the vegetables added to it-like the broccoli and Chinese guilan. 4/5 Crispy fried chicken over rice-3.8/5 These were like the size of chicken fritters/nuggets over white rice. The chicken was tender and crispy. The sweetened sauce made this dish when you apply it to the chicken pieces. This was pretty good. Eggplant basil with fried tofu- eggplant was still a bit hard and undercooked, it would have been nice to be melt in your mouth tender. It was ok 3.5/5. Grilled chicken with sweet chili sauce-this was ok-nothing special about it. 3.5/5 Larb salad- everyone liked this dish a lot and it was spicy. 4/5 Green tofu and vegetarian curry-normally I love this dish, but here it was only ok. This sauce was very liquidy-needed more substance to it like to be a thicker sauce. 3/5 Basil Ground pork-this was good 4/5 but in a smaller dish compared to the other dishes. This one had sliced bell pepper. It would be good if they added green beans unless they had a dish just with green beans that I may have missed. Average was 3.6 so it was ok overall (not quite 4 stars)-some hits and misses were that some dishes just okay/average. But what is good from my various dishes I tried you can choose the 4 star ones at least you know which dishes are the good ones and which was just ok to skip or try another time.

Yelp
My favorite Thai spot in all of SF--nothing else even comes close! Khob Khun Thai is that one place I keep craving. Their Pad Thai is out of this world--so flavorful, perfectly cooked, and just hits every single time. It's a cozy, family-owned spot with fast and super polite service. What really stands out, though, is how beautifully they decorate their food and drinks. Every dish feels like it was made with love and a touch of flair--like you almost don't want to eat it because it looks so pretty (but of course, you do, and it's amazing). Highly recommend if you want great Thai food with that extra thoughtful touch.

Yelp
Nice gem for a Thai Brunch. I have to say that it's been quite a while since I found a place that still has a Yelp Check In offer. I'm so thrilled that they brought it back and it was redeemed with great success. (Yes - check in and you can get a free Thai Iced Tea). I came here with my significant other on a Saturday late morning for Brunch. Khob Khun was situated along the stretch of Geary Blvd, near a lot of other hidden gems. Upon arrival, there was a sign that asked us to wait to be seated by the Host. We were quickly greeted and our serve ended up seating us quickly. It did take about 10 minutes for our waters to arrive, and they only had a few tables being occupied, but it appeared that we arrived shortly after another two tables, based on the menus/waters on their respective tables. The interior of the place was nicely decorated in a homey-casual, not-necessary minimalistic style, but one that I can imagine seeing in parts of Thailand. It was cute and worked very well, given that their front of house set-up was an open concept slash Thai Kitchen style. There was also a kid that had a plate of chicken nuggets, listening to and watching her tablet at the corner. Nostalgic of when I did the same at my parents restaurant 25 years ago. The menu was split between Thai traditional dishes and Fusion Breakfast. Between the two of us, we split a Thai Styled French Toast (dessert) and I had the Kao Soi Gai while he had the Joke Tom Yum. The entrees took a while to arrive, but was tasty and filling enough for 1 person. Would definitely come back again to try some of their other offerings.

Yelp
I generally get this for take out on UberEats but it is EASILY the best Thai food in SF. Their food is so consistent that whenever we order for a home dinner with out of towners, they also have to agree. My personally favorite is the pad see ew, Tom yum fried rice, and green curry. Definitely the perfect place for a group dinner or date. 10/10 would recommend coming here
google avatar

Sher T.

Yelp
Food was delicious and presented well. We got basil eggplant with pork and Tom yum fried rice that was somewhat sour and spicy it had some nice plump shrimp in it. The mild was quite spicy for me so be aware that the medium can be quite hot. Service was good. Ambiance was lacking, decor, table and chairs could use a little sprucing up but the food was delish
google avatar

Devin S.

Yelp
Love the soup! $9 Great prices and chill vibe. I believe they're changing locations and looking forward to the new spot.
google avatar

Yelp
We tried the Po Tak sour and spicy soup with noodles, and it was delicious! The seafood soup was full of flavor, spicy, and very refreshing. The noodles were soft and soaked up the tasty broth. It had a nice mix of herbs and a little kick of heat. Perfect if you like bold flavors. We really enjoyed it!

Yelp
my fav takeout spot. the food is always so damn oily though! apart from that i love this place
google avatar

Yelp
We absolutely loved this place. So glad we stopped here and had dinner. The food was fantastic and we got a free tea with yelp Checkin. The service was really good. The restaurant was continually busy with people coming for their take home orders too.
google avatar

Ava C.

Yelp
This was my first time dining here and it was perfection! The Yellow Curry was exquisite - hot and packed with flavor. Thai Tea was great as well. Server was super attentive and friendly. I love these casual, intimate hole in the wall places.

Yelp
This restaurant deserves 5 stars for the duck noodle soup alone! I've had it both dining in and for takeout and it has never disappointed. The duck is delicious and the spices in the broth make it one of the most deliciously sweet and flavorful soups I've ever had. I also loved the panang curry which was perfectly spicy. The service is efficient and quick which is a major plus. This place is really casual, but if you're going strictly for the food, it serves its purpose.
google avatar

Priscilla L.

Yelp
It was a weekday in the Richmond area at 1pm and the restaurant it was quite empty (just two other tables). We got seated immediately and ordered Thai iced coffees, pad see ew, and a Beef Bomb (beef sizzling plate) + a side of rice. The Thai iced coffees and pad see ew were both good, as expected. The beef bomb meat was soft but much too chewy. The sauce was flavorful but very heavy in pepper, a bit too much in my opinion. I did like that the sauce was a good amount, well seasoned, and that it was of a mild to medium spice. Overall, it's a very clean, very nice Thai restaurant to try out.
google avatar

Christine M.

Yelp
I think we've gotten take out from here a few times now and I always forget that I want to leave a review. Very solid good thai food. Our most recent order was: Guay Teow Kua Poo - similar to pad see ew (to me) but with crab. They have good "wok hay". Very fragrant and well seasoned. I think all their noodle dishes we've tried have been spot on. Duck fried rice and crab fried rice - again, I guess they do it right! all the fried rices are done well too lol. beef bomb? or grilled beef salad? - tasty beef strips on a bed of steamed veggies with a yummy dipping sauce. overall a good choice for thai food. we haven't tried their breakfast things, but love them for dinner and still yummy as take-out.
google avatar

Serena L.

Yelp
Pumpkin curry - 4/5, typical pumpkin curry. Good flavor, good amount. Pandan waffle - 4/5, pandan sauce was delicious and the waffle was soft. I'm a sucker for waffles and coconuts. Tom yum noodle soup - 3/5, they gave a couple of processed toppings like fish balls / meat balls, not too much else. Typical tom yum flavor, not impressed but not the worst. Chicken satay - 3/5, good peanut sauce, decent chicken Thai iced tea - 3/5, super sweet, but we got it for free from the Yelp check in. A real sweet treat if you have a sweet tooth
google avatar

Yelp
One of my favorite Thai places! I have actually never ate in person, but I have gotten take out a few times. I enjoy the pad see ew and yellow curry as my go to dishes. Also get the mango sticky rice, you won't regret it! Their brunch menu also looks really good, but I have yet to try it yet! Check it out if you're in the area, I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
We returned to our fave Thai food restaurant, Khob Khun for a great Father's Day brunch. Hubby had the Cinnamon French Toast; I had the Woonsen Seafood Salad, which I have ordered many times as it is so refreshing and delicious. We had the Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. The servers are excellent, friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is upbeat, with many families and young children. All the dishes we have ordered have always been delicious and plated very beautifully. They will be moving across the street (down the block) in July. We look forward to checking out their new location soon.
google avatar

Ray N.

Yelp
I went here for lunch, but appreciate they also serve Thai breakfast all day. I got the Thai fried chicken and sticky rice. It was great: the fried chicken was very crispy and flavorful, and the sticky rice was also quite good when paired. However, it was kinda pricey ($19) and while good, not necessarily something I'd write home about. It also didn't come with anything else besides the chicken and rice, and a little salad or something would have been nice.

Yelp
Here's a rundown of my experience. Tom Yum Kung Benedict This dish is an inventive fusion of traditional Thai flavors with a classic brunch favorite. The eggs were perfectly poached, with a rich and velvety hollandaise sauce infused with the spicy and tangy flavors of Tom Yum. The prawns were fresh and succulent, adding a delightful seafood twist. The English muffin base soaked up all the flavors wonderfully, making each bite a harmonious blend of Thai and Western cuisine. Daughter Omelet The Daughter Omelet was a comforting and satisfying dish. It was filled with a generous portion of vegetables, all seasoned to perfection. The omelet itself was fluffy and cooked just right, without being overly greasy. Kai Jeow Moo sub The thai omelet was served with sriracha sauce, on a plate of rice. The flavors were spot on but it was a little too greasy in my opinion. Overall Experience I came in during brunch time and had to wait a little to be seated since they seemed understaffed. There was a big group that dined at the same time as us, and because of the echo of the space and their lively conversations, it got quite noisy. Despite these minor inconvenience, if you're looking for a place that combines the bold flavors of Thai cuisine with the comforting elements of breakfast dishes, Khob Khun Thai is definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Had the tom yum rice that's my favorite dish so far, the flavor is so soaked in. The space is also rather large, good for friends and family gatherings. Nice decor.

Yelp
Khob Khun is a cute and cozy Thai restaurant in the Richmond! I came on a Sunday night and it was pretty empty for dinner. We ordered the Kao soi, roasted duck curry, and crispy chicken fried rice. I LOVED the roasted duck curry, they nailed the flavors in it but I think it could have used a bit more duck. The Kao Soi was good but a bit too gingery for me, it had some large ginger chunks in it that I didn't love. I did like the egg noodles in it a lot though! The crispy chicken fried rice was good but the chicken strips could have been a little less bready and more meaty. The flavors in it were good but not as prominent or unique as other crispy chicken fried rices I've had. Overall I enjoyed our meal a lot and think this is a cute date spot with solid Thai food!

Yelp
Had a doordash order from here and the food was delicious. Ordered the pad see ew, kao soi gai. The pad see ew was good, the medium spicy was definitely spicy. The kao soi gai was different, something I have never ordered before. It had egg noodles in a yellow curry sauce. It was delicious, not too spicy at all and there were toppings to go with it, pickled cabbage, red onions, dried shallots and green onions. The perfect accompaniments for the dish. Would definitely order that again.

Yelp
Pro tip: check in on Yelp for a free Thai iced tea Loved my meal here!! I came with 4 other friends for Saturday brunch at 11. We called ahead and made a reservation, but I don't think we needed it as it wasn't that crowded. The space is large with plenty of space between tables. The menu offers a good variety of Thai dishes, but what intrigued me the most was the Thai breakfast menu. They have an American brunch/breakfast menu as well, but I wanted to try something different. I got the kai jeow moo sub rad khao ($15.75), which is a Thai omelet with ground pork and onion served over rice. Portions are pretty big here. When my omelet came out, my first thought was that there's no way I can finish this. Essentially it's a flat round omelet over rice. It looks a bit underwhelming since it's just rice + egg, but I absolutely loved the taste. Even though there's a lot of rice, there's plenty of flavor in the omelet to complement the rice. I really enjoyed this dish and would definitely come back to order it again! My friends tried a variety of the other dishes such as the papaya salad, spicy basil with chicken, and joke (Thai congee), and we all agreed the food was solid. This was a nice spot to sit and slowly chat with friends. We were here for 2 hours and never felt rushed, so I really appreciated that.

Yelp
The service was good. Our waitress was nice. Inside was alright. Nothing made it stand out for me. Typical sit down place. A large group came in and at times it was tough to hear conversations at our table bc the group was so loud; other than that, it was fine. The food was alright. It wouldn't be one of my top restaurants. I had the avocado toast that was topped w/egg of your choice. What I didn't like about my dish was the seasoning sprinkled all over it. It was seasoning like Italian seasoning. I can see that over something with meat or seafood but not on avocado toast. Also, the toast was hard in some areas. The crab omlette and Benedict had quite a substantial amount of real crab meat! The chicken wings with sticky rice was good. The sticky rice came in a decorative basket like container. We had the Ube pancake for dessert. It was pretty good. I gave this place a 4 star bc I've had better breakfast food; but this place is worth trying still.

Yelp
food - i recommend getting the tom yum noodle soup!! the rice noodles are the same as the ones used for pho, and the broth is tangy & savory. it's a very filling meal- the toppings are ground meat, fishballs, beef meatballs, and shrimp. i also ordered the pandan waffle, and it was yummy! it came with maple syrup on the side. service - quick & attentive!! my water was refilled often and the waitress also checked in multiple times to ask if we needed anything. ambiance - cute place to brunch and chat!!

Yelp
Went on a rainy day for a soup and it hits the sweet spot for me! We had a table of 6 and didn't have to wait. The food was pretty decent. I got the pink noodle soup (Yen Ta Fo). The noodles are rice noodles and the bowl was big! ALSO! We got free iced Thai tea for checking in on Yelp. Remember to do that! Love the interior and the spacious restaurant as well.

Yelp
I enjoyed the brunch at Khob Kuhn. I wanted to try the pandan waffle and decided to get the satay skewers as well. The waffle itself was decent, I really liked the taste of the pandan, plus it looks super Instagramable. The satay skewers were okay too, I liked the peanut sauce. Service was solid and portions are reasonable.

Yelp
Nice brunch spot if you're in the Richmond area. Got the Thai omelet which was my favorite; also tried the pad kee mao which was delicious! Overall a standard and reliable spot!

Yelp
I think they were getting ready to move within days of our visit. So the environment was not five star, but the food was super super good and I was tempted to order many things, but had to decide on one thing which in the end was absolutely delicious

Yelp
Food was great!. Really enjoyed the Seafood fried rice and Pad See Ew but we felt that the pad thai lacked flavor. I've been here many times but have yet to try the breakfast menu... thats next on our list!!

Yelp
Went for a late dinner at 8 pm and the restaurant is very modern with light wood furnishings. The service was great, we were able to order quickly after deciding, the food came out pretty fast and they were always checking up on filling our waters. Our total was around 60 before tip for 4 dishes which is such a good price. Thai Iced Tea - A classic. This one was a little more tea heavy so it didn't taste as sweet. Coconut Shrimp - The coconut and batter on the outside was very light and crispy. The shrimp was very hot and it tasted good with the sweet and sour sauce. Tom Kha - Our favorite dish of the night. We ordered the smaller size to try but we really enjoyed it. It was super creamy and the lemongrass and the spices came through nicely. The only nitpick is that the chicken was a little dry but they put a lot of ingredients in and everything else was cooked well. Tom Yum Fried Rice - It tasted similar to the soup where we noticed the shrimp flavor really shined through in this one. It was sour, sweet and salty but not much spice which I think would have added a little more punch to this dish. Grilled Pork - The pork was cooked nicely, soft and easy to bite into. It had a sweet and sour sauce similar to the one for the coconut shrimp and tasted good together. Overall, their dishes were solid and well priced and I am wanting to go back to try other items on their menu.
