21 Best Vietnamese Restaurants to Try in Orange County’s Little Saigon - Eater LA

"This French-Vietnamese bistro is tucked into an already inconspicuous strip mall, but follow your nose — the scent of sizzling stone plates of garlic-butter filet mignon and lamb chops intensifies as one approaches this hidden gem. The true star of the show, though, is their bò lúc lắc. Khoi Hung’s rendition is a departure from the more black pepper-forward shaken beef dishes at institutions like Tan Cang Newport Seafood. Khoi Hung’s version comes draped in a buttery, rich gravy that cranks the umami up to 11, and is perfect with a bowl of rice." - Euno Lee

Randomly stopped by this spot and wow every dish was a hit. Service was great and food came out fast. Such a huge fan of the chunks of garlic they put on everything we ordered— so flavorful and the ribeye with garlic sauce and bo luc lac were both cooked to medium perfection. The garlic chicken wings were crispy, flavorful, and the salt and pepper on the side created such a great bite.

Out of all the dishes we ordered, I would have to say that the meat dishes were the winner and what they are best at. We ordered: #4: Garlic butter wings were flavorful and had a thin layer of fresh crispness. #11 shaken beef - super soft, came with side of rice #14 ribeye came out on skillet - super soft, came with side of rice and fries #16 fried chicken with sticky rice - this one caught me by surprise. It was delicious. Triangular sticky rice, lightly fried and crispy exterior. The sauce is what makes this dish when you dip it with the chicken. #24 Bún riêu - flavorful rich broth with real crab roe and tofu #22 Bánh canh tôm của - least favorite out of all. Their banh cảnh is not what I’m used to. The noodles remind me of tteokbokki, the Korean rice cake noodles. It was chewy and thick and will expand in your tummy. The broth reminds me of Súp măng cầu the crab soup but wasn’t thick. This version was totally different than what I was craving for and had a hard time finishing. It was my first time but my family second, if I come back with them again, definitely sticking to the meat dishes. 3.5 round to 4.

Upon walking in, you'll most likely get a whiff of the hot butter from the sizzling plates from diners. If they have their doors open, it's most likely due to the dining room being smokey from the plates. They offer a variety of meal options but I think they're mostly known for their sizzling plates and beef dishes. Our group had the com bo luc lac (shaken beef with rice), com suon cuu nuong sot bo toi (lamb chops with garlic butter sauce and rice), and com ribeye sot bo toi (ribeye with garlic butter sauce and rice). Even though we ordered all dishes with the red rice, there were other options to choose such as white rice, fries or bread. I'm not exactly sure what's in the red rice to even describe it. I wasn't a big fan of the red rice but to all their own. The lamb chops and ribeye were presented on a sizzling plate with a side salad with vinegarette dressing. Lamb chops were tender and ribeye lacked flavor. The star of the meal was the bo luc lac. It was also tender, shaken with plenty of sauce, and had chunks of garlic. It was absolutely delicious! The plate also had a side of watercress and onions that complimented the dish well. It was so good, our table had to order another. Portion-wise, I'd say it's a single serving. You may not want to share it with how delicious it is. Service was great, too. Now, I saw another reviewer mention this, so I will too. Just FYI, their drinks are served in small styrofoam cups. They do charge $0.50 for water. It's not a deal breaker but I guess some people may not like it. I'm assuming it's the charge for the cup itself.

Google
Comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff. The garlic butter filet mignon is by far the best (better than the pepper). The lamb chop was also well done. The gà rô ti sauce was good, although the chicken was a little dry. Overall very cozy and a good experience.

If you’re craving for some down to earth food Viet style steaks and hot plates this is the place. The Roti chicken is 🔥, it’s super crispy and tasty. They even have a sizzling halibut plate also. The red rice is a must with all the dishes. Don’t forget the fried eggs too. Hehe.

My kid and I like the steak here. We ordered Ribeye steak and Shaking beef go with fried rice. The Ribeye steak is great not too salty just perfect and the Shaking beef so juicy.

Yelp
This place is hands down one of the biggest hidden gems in Orange County. From the moment you walk in, the restaurant feels cozy and welcoming. There's plenty of seating, TVs to keep you entertained, and the overall vibe is relaxed and comfortable. It wasn't too loud at all, which made it easy to actually enjoy the food and conversation. The service was excellent. All of the staff were extremely nice and attentive, checking up on us often. We ordered the Shaken Beef Rice along with French fries on the side, and it was amazing. The beef was incredibly tender and full of flavor, literally melting in your mouth with every bite. The fries were cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Simple, but done right. We also ordered the Ribeye with Garlic Butter and got the black peppercorn sauce on the side. The ribeye was delicious, packed with flavor, and not dry at all. It was cooked medium rare perfectly and came out on a hot sizzling skillet, which made it even better. The garlic butter was well balanced and didn't overpower the steak. As for the appetizers, another standout was the chicken skin chips. I believe it was still new and it wasn't on the menu yet as it was on the wall. They were extremely crispy with a good amount of spice, maybe a little on the spicy side but still very enjoyable. The dipping sauce was very unique and paired really well with the chicken. We also tried the soft-shell crab sautéed with garlic butter. The first few bites on the outside seemed a little dry at first, but once you get closer to the body and head of the crab, it becomes very juicy and flavorful. It tasted fresh and ocean like in a good way, and the dipping sauce they provide was perfect with the crab. My girlfriend and I ended up finishing all of the food, which we almost never do. That alone says how good everything was. The prices were absolutely worth it for the quality, the service was great, and overall this place is a must-try. I'll definitely be coming back soon. Another true hidden gem in OC.

Yelp
Two of us decided to try Komi Hung Restaurant since we both love meat. Service is very friendly! The restaurant is traditional Vietnamese that serves variety of traditional dishes with fusion take of steaks. Vibe is welcoming and love the flat screens all around the store. The menu is simple. We tried #11 Com Bo Luc Lac which is shaken beef with red rice. The meat is tender the sauce is on the sweeter side. And #12 filet mignon: rare with black pepper sauce. The black pepper sauce is not as strong or fragrant as we like. Maybe garlic butter is better choice. The meat is tender on the steak too. We enjoyed the lunch and food here. It's more Asian take of steak and traditional food. Good size and portions.

Yelp
Vietnamese Restaurant with broad menu that includes noodles, rice, soups and sizzling steak plates. What was good: Sizzling Steak Plate + Rice/Fries (Carb) Plus Salad ($23). They really do this item well. I would say that if you've got a big appetite, definitely get an appetizer because it's not a huge portion of meat. The meat definitely comes out sizzling hot with oil and butter spraying almost everywhere, so don't wear anything fancy to this place. Between the Filet and the Rib-Eye you really can't go wrong, just a preference as the filet felt a bit leaner than the rib eye, but not dry. The restaurant is run by a small crew, but they are efficient and friendly. The restaurant feels like a warm hole in the wall that your auntie is serving you lunch to. They take credit cards and there's a small and tight parking lot out front shared with other businesses.

Yelp
I honestly didn't like this place the first time I tried it awhile back.. went back to try it again and I actually loved everything. Ribeye with red rice and salad: 10/10 So good. I asked for my steak medium rare, and it came out perfectly cooked. Meat was soft. Came with a sweet soy sauce. Paired perfectly with the rice. The salad was refreshing with their light vinegar dressing. Com Ga Roti: 10/10 Fried chicken was as good as $1.99.

Yelp
Craving steak with a Vietnamese twist? Who even thinks of that--and who nails it? Khởi Hưng Restaurant, that's who. After consulting the wise Yelp community, I grabbed the Missus and headed out. First impression: a charming hole-in-the-wall. Asian quaint and clean. Always a good sign. We ordered two steaks, served sizzling on a hot cast iron plate--love at first sizzle. The aroma of Vietnamese spices was irresistible, and the flavor did not disappoint. Vietnamese steak? Heck yeah, I'm a believer now. I'll be back--and maybe brush up on my Vietnamese before then.

Yelp
Dined here for the first time today and had a great experience. The garlic butter ribeye was absolutely delicious--juicy, flavorful, and with just the right amount of fat, exactly the way I like it. The garlic butter filet mignon was also excellent if you prefer a leaner cut of steak. Clumsy me accidentally touched the hot skillet and burned my finger while moving it around. One of the staff members noticed right away and was incredibly attentive. She advised me to dip my finger in the cup of ice water, gave me some ice and brought me another water for drinking. When I asked if they had any burn cream, she went to check and later came back to let me know they had run out. I appreciated her effort and care. All in all, the food was great, the service was wonderful, and the staff was genuinely attentive. I'll definitely be back for more delicious steak!

Yelp
Finally got to try the spot in person. And the food did not disappoint. I got the filet mignon with butter garlic sauce. The meat was cooked perfectly and the meat wee so tender. The shaken beef with rice was super flavorful and the meat tender as well. Since I love beef, it's a hard choice to say which one is better. I would say dependent on the mood. I recommend not to wear white or wear a napkin as a bib as it can splatter. And you have to go to register to pay. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
F O O D I've been looking for another place that has Cornish hen other than $1.99 and I think I've found the one? The chicken was so moist, the fried layer thin and crispy and the sauce was good. We also ordered the ribeye steak with garlic butter and that was bomb as well. And I think the price point was super reasonable. I'll definitely be back! S E R V I C E Their menus are tucked under a glass cover on the table so we perused the menu right before hen we sat down. It's your typical Asian service; they took our order quickly and checked in once or twice. I went to the front to pay at the end of our meal. Very casual and there are larger tables available for bigger parties. L O C A T I O N We came for dinner on a weekend and fortunately half the businesses in the plaza were closed. The lot isn't huge and I can see it getting full fast during normal business hours.

Yelp
We were doing our errands in the Westminster/Garden Grove area yesterday. Since it was close to dinner time, asked hubby if he wanted to eat somewhere around there. He said "any restaurant with good shaken beef around here?" Did a quick Yelp search and this Khoi Hung restaurant came up with a whole bunch of others. I've been to most of the other ones so wanted to try this one out as it has many positive reviews and the menu looks interesting. Restaurant was fairly full. We seated ourselves at one of the few tables left. I had the halibut with red rice. Requested the fish to be grilled instead of fried as shown on the menu and the lady said okay. They served a small salad first, then the entree. Wow! Delicious. Fish was nice and firm and so flavorful and not fishy at all. Red rice was a bit dry but was good. Hubby of course had his shaken beef as he wanted. He chose french fries as his side instead of rice. It was also served with a side of watercress salad. He didn't want the salad so I enjoyed it myself. :) It was very good. I loved the dressing that came with the salad. I believe it's house-made dressing Shaken beef was nice and tender and so tasty. I think it's the filet mignon. Overall, a fantastic meal and very good service. We'll be back with our family. Note: restaurant can go easy with the onions. Too much onions on everything but it can be easily picked out.

Yelp
My bro invited us over for dinner and I was excited that he wanted to come here. This place has become one of his family's favorites which I feel really good about, as I was the one who introduced him to Khoi Hung over 5 years ago. I also introduced my sister who lives in Studio City and she comes here pretty regularly whenever she visits her daughter in the OC. The place has been remodeled since the last time I was here a couple of years ago. It's lighter and brighter and a little more spacious. I've been having some good luck with Lamb Chops lately so I had already made up my mind that I will try their version here in garlic butter. So glad I did! The garlic butter with sautéed onions worked perfectly with the tender medium-rare lamb chops. The sweet/salty dipping sauce with chili also took the lamb chops to another level. My hubs went with one of my go-to items Com Ga Roti (fried chicken with special sauce) and he enjoyed it so much. My bro ordered the Ribeye in garlic butter, nephew opted for Ribeye in peppercorn sauce while my sis-in-law opted went with lightly breaded Salmon. Everyone enjoyed all 5 dishes, including 2 orders (5 pcs each) of Cha Gio. You know what else is great, all items were reasonably priced for the portion and the quality.

Yelp
I like a good old style of Asian steaks since I used to go to Hong Kong coffee a lot to get their variety of steaks. I would say I'm pretty impressed with Vietnamese style of steak since all the flavors are familiar to me. I didn't expect any high-quality meat, knowing all the prices, so you don't come here with that kind of mindset - the same as you go to western steakhouses. Not only I love their tomato rice, but they're very flavorful. I got ribeye with garlic butter and it's just the best thing. I would love to try their chicken chips next time because I love good chicken skins. The food came out so fast. The staff are nice too . They have several entertainment inside the restaurant as well.

Yelp
Khoi Hung one of my favorite little mom and pop restaurants in the garden grove and Westminster area. Place is truly a hidden gem They have the best Bo luc Lac aka French style beef. You can get it with red rice or French fries. Love it with the veggies. Beef is soft. Sauce is flavorful. Love the garlic. 18.99 but the portions are huge Xoi ga chien fried chicken with fried sweet rice. Comes with a great sauce. Love this dish. Skin is crispy. The rice is so good. 13 dollars is a great deal Chicken wings here are also a favorite and I hear the chicken skins are really good Don't sleep on this place. If you like French style Vietnamese food. Check them out

Yelp
Ok so coming to a place recommended by one of my good Vietnamese buddies I was totally wondering how good this place is for the Shaken Beef.... I'm yeah I need a double triple portion next time lol yes that good... so tender and flavorful that my plate was practically licked clean through the use of my red rice. We had the fried calamari which was incredible, chicken wings garlic noodles and French fries were tasty as well. I didn't care how temp hot everything was it was just so dang good... you know the place is going to be tasty because it wasn't just Vietnamese people watching there lol. The wait staff were so friendly and nice... the ambiance was homey and the food was awesome.

Yelp
Casual restaurant with quick service, and great quality Came here because the sizzling steak looked good but ordered the Com Ga Roti instead and I am so glad I did! The red rice was flavorful, the chef sauce was buttery and savory with the perfectly fried boneless chicken thigh. The side salad was the perfect acidity I needed for this meal. Overall really recommend this place if you want a quick bite in the area! Big perk - the price is unbeatable. I think my chicken plate was $14.99, this would be $18-$20 back home.

Yelp
I absolutely love Khoi Hung! The prices here are amazing and the food never disappoints. On my most recent visit, we came on a Saturday night to no wait at all. The food came out quickly and piping hot. Bun Rieu: 4/5. While it may not be the best bun rieu I have had in my life, it's delicious! The bowl is huge and very flavorful. Ribeye with garlic butter: 5/5. This is what I usually order. It's so good and always cooked perfectly. I like to get it with the bread, but the rice is pretty good too. The sauce it comes with is very flavorful. Amazing deal for a ribeye steak! I will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area and want a great deal on food. For the price, Khoi Hung is better than a lot of places. Do yourself a favor and dine here!
google avatar

Stephanie N.

Yelp
If I could go back to this place everyday I would! Everything tasted solid, I would say for the ribeye it had a bit of fat to it of course, but enough meat cooked just right. Lamb chops well flavored. And the mahi skin surprisingly was the best part of the protein itself. Love all the sides that come with it, it's a bang for your buck. Just be cautious do not ask for water, you get water from small styrofoam cups, 50 cents each. And they don't give you a discretion! So come prepared with your own water bottles and come hungry, you'll be taking a nap after this meal.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow chicken skin is a must have! Comes in spicy! Garlic noods no luc lac just hits the spot!

Yelp
We love the ribeyes dishes, so tender and the marinated very nice fragrant! Will visit more and more!

Yelp
First time here and so we tried a variety of dishes between the two of us. We came on a late Sunday afternoon. When we initially walked in, the restaurant had a musty smell, which was not pleasant. Perhaps they need to use better cleaning supplies. On to the food and service. A young girl took our order and she made a couple of recommendations. We ended up getting the fried calamari as an appetizer. It was just ok. He had the basic safe dish of vermicelli noodles with grilled pork, shrimp and eggroll. He ate all of it and said it was decent. I had the fried chicken dish and rice which I saw from another person who posted about it. There was nothing to rave about the fried chicken. In fact, it tasted like it had been sitting out a while, and I was quite disappointed. The best dish was the shaken beef. The beef chunks were tender and the sauce was tasty infused with garlic bits. If I return, I will try the ribeye steak, which seems to be the most popular item. A woman (not sure if she was the cook) came out and asked us if everything was fine. She was also kind about bringing us to go containers for our few bites of leftovers and even brought us fresh sauce containers.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with my son because he likes chicken roti from a place he frequented as a kid growing up in the SFV. Took him here and he liked it. I got my go to vermicelli with egg roll and grilled pork and shrimp. Fast service, clean, easy parking. Chill ambiance with no Vietnamese music annoying the crap out of my ears. Would come back.

Yelp
So DELICOUS and yum!!!!! I got the fried chicken with fried sticky rice and I dint think I've never had something so good. My bf got the filet mignon and it was so buttery good. We also got the stir fry baby clams. 10/10. The service was fantastic! The workers are very attentive and honestly the food came out very quick. The vibes are great too. Guys do not hesitate to come here.
google avatar

Maggie T.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times and I always come back for the steak--it's incredibly flavorful, juicy, and served on a sizzling plate that keeps it hot the whole meal. I also tried their roti chicken and rice plate, which was delicious, especially with their house-made sauce. The restaurant is clean and simple, nothing too fancy, but exactly what you'd expect (and want) from a Vietnamese spot on Westminster. Service has always been good--staff are friendly, attentive, and quick. Overall, a solid place for comforting Vietnamese dishes and great steak. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Good Food - A-! I was starving so I scarfed down two bowls of gooey soup and one plate of fried tofu. The tofu was outstanding given with a half plate of veggies. Service - B. They are so kind and friendly here. There is a language barrier and thank goodness was I had my client who speaks fluent Vietnamese so he was able to help me. Ambience - A-! Interior is standard but the vibes in this place is happening with their Kendrick music and other positive tunes. Really made Me happy chilling here and working.

Yelp
Great variety of food choices. My husband and I were so hungry. We appreciated how quickly the food came out! Since we were there after 2pm, there was no crowd. We ordered the Com Bo Luc Lac (Shaken Beef with choice of rice or French Fries), Soft Shell Crab sautéed with Garlic Butter, and Bun Rieu (northern style crab roe with vermicelli). It was all delicious! The Beef was soft and flavorful and the Crab roe was plentiful in my soup.

Yelp
They.have good sizzling plate. The service was fast and friendly. The place is clean. They have a good variety on the menu. 0

Yelp
Food here is pretty good. Definitely light on the salt. We ordered a lot of food and finished everything, including the salads. Portions are on the smaller side. - Ribeye - cooked perfectly medium rare in garlic and butter. Would recommend. - Shaken Beef (Bo Luc Lac) - tender, cooked to medium well. Was supposed to come with rice but they gave us salad and then (over) charged us for the rice when we asked for it. Still would order again. - Ga Roti with fried sticky rice - The chicken was ok. Wouldn't order again, but the crispy sweet sticky rice was a hit. We'll definitely order those on the side the next time we're here. The sauce is DELICIOUS! - Banh Canh Tom Cua - the kids' favorite dish. Flavorful soup. Soft, chewy noodles. Delicious crab and shrimp clusters. - Calamari - Fried well but bland. Batter was good, but overall needed salt. Wouldn't order again. - Fried tofu - MY FAVORITE. We could not get enough of this. Would definitely order again. They used soft tofu so it was crispy on the outside and so soft, melt in your mouth inside. Dipped in the Chef's Special sauce that's served with the sweet sticky rice, perfection! Highly recommend. - Fries - basic fries. Good but not salted. Restaurant is small and clean. Service was slow, but they were all very friendly. Dishes were brought out one at a time and it took a while in between dishes so 3 of us were almost done with our meals before my daughter's came out. Luckily we ordered several appetizers so she was able to snack on those. We were also overcharged for rice that should've came with the Bo Luc Lac. Husband didn't realize until after he paid. Almost all the dishes came with salad (lettuce, onion, tomato) that had a very light dressing. It was actually pretty refreshing. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and will definitely come back regularly.

Yelp
Wow! Every single dish is chef's kiss!! My nail tech recommended this place to me after I told him how much I love sizzling steak dishes. We ordered the filet mignon sizzling plate, banh can tom cua, and fried chicken. DELICIOUS. The banh can tasted like a home cooked meal. Idk if the noodles are made from scratch but they were perfectly chewy, soft, and seemed freshly made! The wait staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant gets busy but there were always tables available on a Sunday afternoon. I can't wait to come back and try other dishes!

Yelp
My family and I used to eat at a similar restaurant that had the best bò lúc lắc and we've been trying to find a place that makes it the same way ever since the old restaurant closed down. I think we've found the closest place and it's Khởi Hưng! It was so nostalgic when our family tried it here and we've been coming back ever since we discovered it. The bò lúc lắc meat is tender, the sauce is flavorful, garlicky, and buttery, and goes really well with bread. Their bánh canh cua is pretty tasty too with freshly made noodles and thick broth like how the old restaurant made it too. I wish it was a little more flavorful in the broth and more meat, but I'd get it again. Staff are nice and attentive. Restaurant has a good amount of seating and feels cozy. Parking lot a little small but not too much trouble finding parking when not too busy. Would recommend trying if you enjoy cozy French-Vietnamese food!
google avatar

Yelp
The steak dishes here are sooo good!! The filet was surprisingly so tender and a great value. Bo luc lac was definitely my favorite dish, the sauce was perfect and each dish came with broken rice!
google avatar

Callie T.

Yelp
You've gotta try their bò lúc lắc! It is seriously very tasty! The sauce is flavorful and the side salad is good, which goes perfectly with the beef. Definitely recommend if you're into shaking beef with red rice. Service was fast and friendly.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick lunch a couple days ago and we're glad we did. As someone who enjoys high end steakhouses, their sizzling rib eye here was delicious! You got your choice of rice or fries to go with it ( Seems like beef/steak dishes are their specialty. My wife got "banh canh tom cua" and she loved it. They gave her big chunk of real crab meat and the whole portion was huge. Soft shell crab was also a hit The chef/mom came out to chat with us to see if we liked our orders was a nice touch to our experience. We'll bring our parents back to try more food here
google avatar

Yelp Is Bullshit B.

Yelp
First impression as I entered the restaurant was the somewhat unpleasant smell that made me think this place isn't too great with cleanliness. I have to be honest that the smell was off-putting, and I thought about leaving for a few seconds... I decided to give this place a try out of curiosity. I'm not too crazy about beef/steak so I ordered different items. I guess this place is more catered to red meat dishes. The food was 3/5 and same for service. On another note, there was a variety of customers of different ethnicities that came here today, so it appeared that this place attracts not the typical Vietnamese crowd. Another note, It looked like they charged $0.50 for water. The bill did not itemize the charges, and I didn't care enough to ask, but I didn't order anything else besides two main dishes and water. I did ask for a refill of water, which the girl didn't do it the first time, and I had to ask a second time. Charging for water is a huge turn-off for me. I didn't hate it enough to boycott this place but there was nothing memorable about it for me to be back.

Yelp
Food is still delicious. I took two of my friends here which was their first time. Always get the lamb chops and ribeye here. Also tried the Bun Rieu for the first time and it was decent. Will be back soon!

Yelp
We ordered the filet mignon and the fried chicken with sticky rice! The filet mignon came with French bread and we ripped pieces of the bread and put the meat dipped with the sauce (not pictured) on top. Omg guys the sauce was soooooo good. I loved the dipping sauce so much, I even paired it with the fried chicken and fried sticky rice! I definitely will come back here again just for that sauce The ladies are also nice and service is good! The restaurant feels super homey and casual. Love the cozy decor and layout of the place. It's never busy when i go so it's quite peaceful to have a meal with friends or family here! filet mignon: 11/10 chicken: 8/10

Yelp
The place is a bit hidden but I love the udon. It seems like it's made in house with the right amount of chewiness. Wish the dish has a bit more crab meat. Food comes out fairly quick and the space seems to be best for small parties.

Yelp
Bò né here is amazing with the pepper sauce. Their bread, fries are also great. One bò né order come with a side of salad. Service is typical, restaurant are big and spacious, parking is a normal size but it could get busy since there are other restaurants in the same plaza.

Yelp
Great little Vietnamese restaurant in an unassuming plaza! We ordered the fried chicken with sticky rice that comes with a small side salad and the ribeye with the garlic butter sauce that comes with a salad and your choice of bread, rice, or french fries - we opted for bread. The fried chicken with sticky rice were fried so well! The fried chicken was juicy and tender and the fried sticky rice perfectly complemented the chicken. The sauce that comes with the dish is the best - I dipped everything into it! The salad is the same one that comes with the ribeye and it is fresh and is tossed in a vinagrette. The garlic butter ribeye was tender and juicy - I recommend you order it rare since it comes on a sizzling platter and it continues to cook as it's on the plate. Really enjoyed both of these dishes and will be back! The staff were friendly and the restaurant has ample seating. The parking lot is a bit crowded, but the food is worth it and affordable.

Yelp
It makes me so sad to write this review because I was so excited to try this place. Recommended by friend. I had so many option but only one lunch during my trip out of Disneyland and I choose this place. Bánh canh cua (crab udon soup) is fine 8/10, home made noddle. Súp cua bóng cá (crab noodle) 4/10 is so blend and expensive for what it is. Mostly water down thicken water and some crab. Not even the unami taste. Service - non existent - 0/10. No offered water, slow (food takes 20min to come out), no checking. But that is fine, however, what is so outrageous is the cashier mistakenly over charged my card $20, had to give me that back in cash (still fine because she caught her own mistake. THEN, asked me to tip her by card, show me a tiny screen that give the minimum option of 18%, demanded that I should tip by card right then and there. I said dont worry, I have cash. And gave her a $5 bill (~13% tip, our bill was about $36). The bathroom is disgusting, greasy, with a bucket (half full dark water) and a mop still leaning inside. Stacking of box like a storage room. Normally im forgiving of bathroom but had to bring this up w/ the bad service. While waiting for my daughter to use the bathroom, the same cashier comes over to my table asking if I still have my receipt and have her phone with the calculator out. I didnt and told her I threw it in the bathroom already and what is the problem but she walked away. But I suspect she was abt to demand I need to tip her $3 more. Mind you, she is not even our server. There was no service. Our actual server (a young adult, maybe daughter of owner) still wearing what you would call PJ in the vietnamese culture with sweatpant, walking lệt phệt loudly, threw utensils into cleaning box so loud next to us like she didnt want to be there. She took my order and brought food out after 20min wait. I really was abt to cancel the order and walk out. Never coming back and Im sure it wont affect them.

Yelp
We just found this hole in the wall restaurant on Yelp when searching for places to eat nearby. Looking through the photos, we were interested to try it out and man, so glad that we did! Even though there was a bit of a language barrier with the person who was taking our order, the service was still great and our food came out quick Everything that we ordered was cooked and seasoned well to our liking. I ordered the Filet Mignon and my boyfriend ordered the Ribeye and both meats were so tender also, whatever the house sauce they serve SMACKS even though it was our first time visiting, I'm definitely gonna miss it since I'm from out of state but definitely will visit the next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Love their sizzling ribeyes steak with garlic. I came on Labor Day it was packed. But their service is fast. The restaurant is clean and neatly. I will come back again for their foods.

Yelp
Been trying banh canh at different spots throughout the SGV and OC county. This location's banh canh tom cua (vietnamese shrimp and crab udon noodle soup) is unique and absolutely delicious. Homemade soft and chewy udon noodles like chewing on mochi noodles, a deep and rich but subtly sweet soup, pieces of crab meat and shrimp meatballs. Simple, straight to the point, easy to eat, comforting, and delicious. No additional extra stuff to mark up the price like pork blood or pork hock. Reasonable pricing for the area. 5/5 Their other menu selections also offer a variety of delicious vietnamese+french dishes. Staff and service is friendly. Ambiance is very casual. It's a small-medium sized restaurant so seating and parking can be difficult to get during dinner rush. However, their food has been delicious so I'd say it's worth the wait.

Yelp
I came here in a Monday morning with my family after a visit to Disneyland because I was driving through the area and I wasn't going to miss out on a change to get some Vietnamese food. I ended up getting beef tongue with the spicy sauce on a sizzling platter. It was delicious and not something I could typically find in my neighborhood. We also got shaken beef, which may be on almost every Vietnamese restaurant menu but Khoi Hung's rendition is particularly tender and flavorful. Finally we had the grilled pork with vermicelli. It was good and the noodle portion quite large. If we're ever in the neighborhood again I'd definitely consider going back for more.

Yelp
I hadn't been here in a while, but it looks like they recently remodeled and it looks great. The service is still just as good as I remember, and the food was delicious. I ordered the shaken beef and filet mignon skillet as usual, all of it was cooked perfectly (medium well). No complaints at all. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. They've added TVs on several walls and even installed wall-mounted heaters, which is a nice touch. As for pricing, it's very reasonable for the quality you get. It won't break the bank, and you'll definitely want to come back.

Yelp
I found this place through a Instagram reel post that featured their Steak Skillet, and was hooked. Reviews and comments seemed legit. Went to go try it out with the family, hyping it up with excitement. Hoping it could become a "regular" spot. I was let down HARDDD. We ordered 3 ribeye steaks medium rare, and every. single. one. came out well done... The steak were skinny, unseasoned, and sad. Lathered in butter and garlic, with no flavor to it, the sauce didnt help either. They charged $22+ for this thin sliced piece of ribeye steak... the presentation was cool on the cow plate, but other than that, it was an absolute let down. Red rice was okay, that was the exciting part of the dish. We also ordered the abalone porridge and it had just ONE PIECE of abalone in it.... To top it off we ordered water thinking it wouldn't be charged... come to find out THEY CHARGE FOR WATER TOO . This place is the reason why I am skeptical of social media referrals for food spots... I honestly don't know how they even have as good of reviews as they do. TLDR; came here from a mouth watering Instagram posts and was let down. Pricey for the quality and quantity of food, charge for water, subpar service, and again they charge for water... ‍
