Beautiful experience at Khow Thai on a Friday afternoon. Tom Yum soup with shrimp, Pad Woon Sen with shrimp and Basil Fried Rice were some of the best I’ve had in 6 states. You can feel the kindness and love of the craft in every bite 🙏❤️👌

This has always been a "must" visit during my trips to Boulder. The staff is wonderful and helpful. The food is delicious! Highly recommend. As of 7/30/25, they are closing their physical restaurant and only operating as a carry out venue. I'm not sure of their new location for carry out or when they will establish at a new physical location for dining in. I rated "atmosphere" as 3/5 because the dining area does feel very dated/shows it's age and a bit shabby. Still, that does not at all diminish my recommendation for dining their and enjoying their cuisine!

First off I felt so special because the hostess also was the one who cooked our food, and that afternoon we happened to be the only guests , so it was like a personal chef. I really appreciated that. The food was delicious! Big portions as well. The leftovers were even better the next day ☺️ Some of the best Pad Thai and loved the sticky mango rice. It was very satisfying and yummy.

I was in the area for a quick work trip, and I had a friend recommend this restaurant to me. I’m so glad she did!! The ladies working here are so sweet and kind!! To me, the service alone at any establishment can make all the difference. Secondly, the food was not only ready VERY fast, but it tasted phenomenal! Additionally, I loved the thoughtfulness of the Togo packing of my sweet sticky rice (I’m not a mango fan and the girl gladly accepted my request to make it without). If I’m ever in the area for work again, I will certainly be stopping here again!

I have eaten at Khow Thai regularly for 20 plus years and have consistently had excellent experiences there. My standard dish is Drunken Noodles. Khow Thai's is fresh, lemony and light, considerably less salty than the soy sauce based version most of the competiton provides. The complimentary egg roll starter is also superior to similar offerings from other Thai restaurants.

I got a quick to-go order for two. The food was great. The restaurant was quiet and pleasant while they bagged up my order. Gluten and dairy free choices were nice!

Literally the only thing good here is the service. The waitress was super nice. 😊 the signs say best rated food but this was over 25 years ago so it’s deceiving for sure. We were served these egg rolls but they hit the table ice cold so I couldn’t even eat it. Then the table tea came it was very odd. Hot water with rocks is the best way I can explain it. Sadly the meal came and it was this thick brown sauce which is shocking as is but it wasn’t thick sticky yummy sauce it was watery thin. The chicken tasted so terrible I couldn’t even finish more than that first bite. It was almost stale and rotten taste. I literally am the type of person who will eat whatever just so I don’t hurt anyone’s feelings and I can down almost anything. But no I couldn’t even eat more than one bite of anything here. It’s not okay to come on here and say the food is amazing when it’s not. Normal hard working people spend out hard earned money here because we see good reviews. That’s not okay! They say you can tell a lot about a place by the bathrooms I won’t even go there but the place was dark and cold literally we all wore coats the entire time. There was thick white ooze all over the walls near the bathroom which definitely did it for me. Just coming on here to leave an honest review if your craving Thai food just do your research and don’t trust awards that were given 23 years ago. No offense to this place they need to first of all scrub down the whole place with bleach, start there I mean there’s no one in the place why isn’t it clean. Add some heat. Being cold makes your body less hungry. And upgrade your decor around the place take down them 25 year old awards it’s so tacky. They are yellow and peeling which is unattractive. We eat with our eyes first. Upgrade that damn menu and for god sake serve hot crispy egg rolls. Anyways find out for yourself if you dare. Or don’t I don’t care. I won’t be returning here.
