Came in to eat with my family and were seated right away, which was great. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience went downhill. I can’t remember the server’s name, but every time he came to the table he smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, which wasn’t pleasant, especially with kids.
We ordered 3 kids meals, one appetizer, and 3 sandwiches. Based on menu prices, the total should have been around $80. When the bill came, it was presented on the handheld device and the server seemed to fumble through it, then said the total was $101. I didn’t question it at the time.
The device then prompted for a tip, so I selected 20%, bringing the total to $121. After thinking about it later, the numbers don’t add up, and it feels like gratuity may have already been included or an error was made before asking for an additional tip. I requested a receipt, but one was never sent to me.
Disappointing experience overall. Transparency with billing and providing receipts is important, especially when dining with family.
