Google
Amazing food, great service, everything came out fast and hot! We got the chicken tenders, chicken sandwich, and chicken katsu. They all had choices of sides and sauces. Plenty and parking and indoor seating. Love this place will definitely be back all made fresh on the spot.

Went to the Aurora location a couple weeks ago for the first time during a Dr appt. It was amazing 5/5. Came to this location because it’s close(ish) to the mall, where we were going initially. The food is amazing, the portions are HUGE and the staff is great. Super friendly and not only with the customers, they all joke, talk, laugh with each other which is always so nice to see. Another nice addition to this location was the manager held a team meeting and it was very professional and great to see how the store is ran. Great job to her and how she runs the team! Will return from Thornton!

Google
I mean, it's a place. The Hot spice level is more mild if anything else. They have a fly problem. Flies and gnats are everywhere. Also the sauce is super small. Hardly enough for 1 tender. 55 cents if you want another which is crazy.

Kameron C.

Google
Best tenders around, the spicy ones are amazing. Every side on the menu is excellent as well. It is always my first stop every time I am in town.

Google
the chicken sandwich is FABULOUS! I got medium and it was crisp & delicious. the kickin sauce is super yummy & so is the corn. the service is excellent and very friendly! 10/10 recommend, great local spot & a must try in the denver area!

Google
I have been here many times, but yesterday was the first time I came with my family and friends. The food was still as delicious, and the staff member name Dat is still a true gem of this place. My friends loved how he served and joked around with my dad. I felt so proud to have introduced my family and friends to enjoy this place for the first time. I will definitely recommend this spot to even more people

Words can not describe how good everything in my basket was! The food was all hot and fresh. The chicken was seasoned to perfection, and the mac salad was the perfect balance of flavors and textures. The waffle was like none other, and the Thai iced tea was one of the best I've ever had. When I'm in the area, I'll be back, and I highly recommend trying this place. This is a must try!

Google
I ordered a chicken sandwich mild with fried rice....its sad to say the best thing i ate was the toast. I'm not sure where the rating of 4.7 comes from that cant be true. I've never eaten a chicken strip/finger made with dark meat. Had i know, I would have saved myself the 12 bucks... That was a first and last time for me.

Yelp
I love this place! As others have said, the food is fresh, flavorful, and the portions are generous. This is an easy go-to in Lakewood that I would recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite that's also affordable (by today's standards).

Yelp
I visit Denver about every other month and I'm always looking for great food. A local recommended this place and a must try. Came in shortly after they opened at 10:30am and was surprised to see more than a few customers. I ordered the chicken sandwich with a side of fried rice. They fried chicken was crunchy and tasteful. The sauce, slaw, kickin sauce, and Texas Toast all complete this great chicken sandwich. The fried rice was alittle bland, could have used some soy sauce.

Yelp
Great chicken with a really cool variety of choices. I got the chicken katsu (which is a heck of a deal as it comes with Mac salad, fried rice AND a side of your choice) and it was delicious! Can't wait to go back and try more items! As a bonus, the employees were super nice and welcoming too! Give this place a shot, you won't regret it!
google avatar

Yelp
Best chicken fingers! And the sides were great as well...the Mexican grill corn is excellent, as is the Korean Cole slaw. Service was fast and friendly, couldn't ask for more!

Yelp
Legit some of the best damn food in Denver. Easily worth the $20 I spent. The only thing I was on the fence about was the cream cheese in the waffles, or whatever it was, but it was still good. Chicken was crispy and tasty with the syrup / mild sauce, churros were delicious - maybe could do with their own sauce, but not necessary - and THANK YOU for putting the corn in the bowl. I never like it when places serve it on the cob.

Yelp
What a great group of people when you walk in. You're instantly greeted with a smile and a friendly "hello" which could easily brighten your day. The staff here are extremely nice and ready to help. We happened to catch them after normal lunch hours so it wasn't really busy. There were about 10 other people eating lunch and a few open tables. I can imagine that their lunch rush fills a lot of the chairs. The tenders are big, juicy, and packed full of flavor. Fries were cooked to a good crisp, just the way that I like it. Food took about 10 minutes to come out after we ordered and that's pretty good knowing that everything is made to order here and they bring it to your table. Next time I'm in the area, I want to come back and give a few other items on the menu a try. It was the charm and hospitality of the staff that drives me to support this business. Keep doing your thing Kickin Chicken!

Yelp
Kickin' Chicken has to have to be one of the best places for huge portions and small dent in your wallet. Their menu is simple but everything is so good. We went one Saturday night for dinner and immediately, the smells had my mouth watering. We ordered the katsu, chicken & waffles and for sides extra fried rice & the elote. We went back for super bowl & picked up some of their jumbo wings with the Mango hobenaro and parm garlic sauce. The wings were crispy with the perfect amount of sauce. I wish they had the wings all time. The staff is amazing, the place is clean and plenty of parking.

Yelp
Kickin Chicken was recommended by a friend to try out in the Lakewood area, and as someone who loves fried chicken in all it's forms - I definitely wanted to check this place out! We went on a Thursday around noon, where it wasn't too busy and we were able to get our orders placed immediately. To note, parking is quite difficult at the restaurant - spaces are very limited and fill up fast, as Kickin Chicken shares parking spaces with other small business in the area. I personally had some trouble finding a place to park when I visited, and I would try and get there a little bit earlier to find a spot. Ambiance is fast casual, as the restaurant is self-service, you order at the cashier and you can pick any available table to sit at, and you also bus your own table after you are finished. I got the chicken kastsu for $13.25, which I thought was an alright deal for the amount of food you get, as I personally would have preferred a bigger portion. I noticed that chicken tenders or the chicken and waffles looked a bit more generous with the same price, so I'll probably give those a try the next time I'm in Lakewood. But otherwise, the flavor is pretty solid! Each of the components of this entree is tasty. The chicken is sauced and seasoned well, and the texture is nice and crispy. The fried rice has a complex flavor, sort of like a garlic and smoked flavor that is pleasing. The corn is soft and the sauce is slightly tangy and provides a nice acidity to the decadent chicken. I like that the menu at Kickin Chicken is pretty straightforward and you come to this restaurant knowing exactly what to expect. The flavors are pretty solid and I would try and order a bit more the next time I come around. But I would definitely revisit Kickin Chicken to try their other interesting options!

Yelp
So amazing! The 3 tenders were so good we all had to get the same thing, and wow wasn't let down at all. We had leftovers too cause the chicken strips are super fulfilling and I loved the value you get for the prices they have. The chicken is all over $11.50 but so worth it for the amazing flavoring and seasoning. The employees here are also super kind and friendly and get the food out promptly! Will be coming back and so dangerous that I now live so close to this place, will definitely be gaining weight thanks to this place

Yelp
Would you drive 27 minutes to eat killa chicken? I Do. Very small menu. Every thing is unique in flavor. Big portions as well. Service is great. Plenty of parking.
google avatar

Elena M.

Yelp
Fast food with a kick. Nothing fancy but worth the try Ate the rice bowl with chicken thighs. Oddly enough it comes with a side of Mac salad that surprisingly goes with the dish. Fried Rice was a tad salty. Don't recommend the slaw.

Yelp
Caught their truck at Sloans Lake during Colorado Dragon Boat Festival. I got their spicy chicken tenders with two options of sauce. I did not wait long, which is a plus- while theirs are one of the popular one at this event. Very good, is a big portion for 1 person, I guess more like shareable during event. Chicken breast were fried to perfection, still juicy not too dry and good amount of seasoning. I will go their restaurant next time and try to dine-in.

Yelp
The chicken Katsu is the star at this eatery! It's really tasty, complemented by the savory rice underneath. The fried chicken is very fresh and served piping hot. It's crunchy on the outside and juicy/tender on the inside. The dipping sauces are great! The space is small and casual but very clean. We can't say we liked the slaw or the chicken spring rolls. They were both bland and unremarkable. If you have a hankering for fried chicken or chicken tenders, you can't go wrong here!

Fanny S.

Yelp
Customer service was amazing! Very nice people! The area was really clean and with good music! The windows gave good lighting(: Food looks and tastes amazing!!!

Yelp
Soooo good :) I got the chicken katsu and Thai iced tea. Amazing food. Large portions.

Savannah L.

Yelp
My friend and I both agreed that the chicken was sooooo good. I got the chicken katsu, and the crunch was AMAZING. The flavor and sauce was great too. The fried rice was a softer variety, but I personally liked it and thought it was flavorful without being too salty. Personally, I didn't think the mac salad and Vietnamese slaw were the best, but that may just be personal preference for the mac salad and the fact that I don't like red onions munch, which were in the slaw. Preferences aside, I wouldn't say they were anything special, but there wasn't anything objectively bad about them necessarily. Also, the service went above and beyond my expectations! At an order-at-the-front place like this, you wouldn't expect great service, so I was pleasantly surprised. When I was standing inside, waiting for my friend to come in so we could order, one worker politely asked if I had been helped. The servers called numbers as if we needed to come pick up the orders, but when we raised our hands, they came to our table and gave us the food. They also checked on us twice during the meal and politely thanked and greeted us when we left. To be fair, it wasn't very busy when we were there, so I'm not sure how the service would be when it's busy. Nevertheless, the workers all had a very polite, calm attitude. Lastly, it was clean inside, and I liked how many of the tables were in a little inlet, set apart from the ordering counter and doors. The art on the walls is also super fun and comedic without being non-kid-friendly (as far as I noticed).

Yelp
Amazing! So happy to have gluten free fried chicken. Highly recommend. Also, everyone is so friendly and helpful

Yelp
I was really excited to try Kickin Chicken after reading the reviews on Yelp. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed. My boyfriend and I were visiting and had to drive a decent bit out of our way to get here. I was hoping for flavorful, spicy chicken, but it was pretty bland for my taste. My boyfriend liked the chicken katsu, but it wasn't anything special. The mac salad and Mexican street corn were also a bit underwhelming. It could just be my taste, but I wouldn't go back.
google avatar

Mad R.

Yelp
We stopped here after arriving in Denver. This place did not disappoint. The chicken tenders are very good, the corn was nothing to ride home about. The sandwich is really where it's at. If i were to come back I would get the chicken sandwich 100%. The fried rice as a side wasn't anything special either but the chicken is really good and worth trying.

Avery R.

Yelp
Service was amazing business was well managed and the staff I could tell ran the place very smoothly and knew what they were doing. THE FOOD: 5 stars hands down one of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had, any reviews other than 5 stars are lying!!

Yelp
Very Friendly, family owned chicken shop with stellar sides. Total hidden gem and a must try in the lakewood area. The food is so fresh and hot every time and it blows my mind how juicy the chicken is every time.

Yelp
Love the concept, but actually --in good conscience and for the good of the public health: PLEASE HOLD THE SALT!

Yelp
I have been wanting to try Kickin Chicken for a while and finally had the chance while having my car repaired down the street. This is a quick serve restaurant with a menu that is limited- which I personally find attractive because this usually means a restaurant tends to focus on doing a small amount of things well as opposed to doing many things mediocre. I was not wrong. We ordered a Katsu with an extra side of fries on top of the fried rice and mac salad, and a sandwich that I ordered to the spiciest level with a side of street corn. We also tried all of the sauces which you could tell were house made, and a Vietnamese coffee with a rum raisin bread pudding. The food came quickly and was crispy and hot. The corn could use a bit of salt, however everything else had a perfect amount of seasoning and spice! My favorite sauce was the kickin sauce which is featured on the sandwich and lives up to its name! The coffee's bitterness was a great accent to the sweetness of the bread pudding. I will be coming back very soon and ordering the chicken and waffles!

Yelp
Love the food here! Not a big fan of the atmosphere. The chicken tenders are really delicious, and the spicy chicken is actually spicy, unlike at, say, Wendy's, for example. Or, if you're really a hothead, they have extra spicy, if you ask (it's not on the menu, but they're insanely hot). My favorite of their sides is the Mexican street corn, but I like that they have a lot more options than just fries (though the fries Are fresh and crispy). The garlic blue cheese sauce is the best, but they're all good. The reason I prefer to get take out instead of eating in is that the walls are lined with tin, and they have those uncomfortable metal chairs that are so popular in restaurants right now, and it makes the space feel really loud and chaotic, and the background music is pump up music adding to the loudness. Still, they have great customer service, and fun artwork for sale on the walls, so if you don't mind the noise, have a sit down and enjoy.

Erik E.

Yelp
The food was very good. Service was very good as well. All of our food was cooked to order so it was hot and fresh. Very interesting menu.

Carson M.

Yelp
Came here at 10:30 AM after I gave myself mold toxicity by blasting 2 humidifiers in my apartment with the windows closed (relatable) It's like the music is inside my head like an insidious worm. To the heartbroken person on aux - pop country is never the answer. Chicken was good, I continue to search for the cure to my condition.

Yelp
Honestly, I was a little meh about going to "another chicken place" in denver. I am grateful my friend gave me the strong arm to go. THE BEST WAFFLE I HAVE HAD! Crispy, soft, and with bubbles. A little spicy, a lot amazing. The service was impeccable. Street corn... perfect Chicken thighs tender and crispy. This place is worth it. It's not just another chicken place.. it's better.
google avatar

Obed S.

Yelp
Elote was great, the chicken had nice flavor although I didn't find it to be spicy at all. The slaw and sauce on it was outstanding

Bridget M.

Yelp
Girlfriend and I order from here all the time, we love the food and it's super convenient and great for pick up
google avatar

Sannisha H.

Yelp
I was excited to try this place but I wasn't satisfied with the tenders they weren't flavorful the jalapeño honey mustard dipping sauce was really good the dipping sauce was the only reason I ate the chicken tenders. Mexican corn was ok.
google avatar

Kara S.

Yelp
The second you walk in you are greeted with a wonderful smell and a smile. The man working the front counter was extremely friendly and happy to serve us, which more than makes up for the odd parking situation. The chicken sandwich was worth it! The fries and corn could have used a little more seasoning but all in all I could see my self visiting again.
google avatar

Yelp
Kickin Chicken is one of my favorite places to eat! The food itself is delicious, well-seasoned, and filling. My favorite two dishes are the chicken sandwich and the chicken katsu. Be warned! These are VERY generous portion sizes. The price may seem expensive, but it is well worth the quality and quantity of food you will receive. Whatever you get, make sure that you get a side of the fried rice as well. The food is delicious, but what stands out the most about this place is the customer service. You are always immediately greeted with a smile and hello upon entering. They are attentive to your order and needs. They always bring the food to you at your table and they even come around afterwards with boxes! This place has my patronage for years to come due to how well they treat their customers.
google avatar

Alexa R.

Yelp
This place is legit!! The chicken was the crispiest & tastiest chicken tender i've ever eaten. I got the tenders with the mac salad, buffalo ranch, garlic bleu cheese, and thai tea. The chicken is delicious on it's own, but the sauces are amazing. I personally enjoyed the garlic bleu cheese the most. I wasn't a fan of the kickin' sauce, but their other flavors are great. The thai tea was genuinely one of the best ones i've had. It wasn't overly sweet and it's a great drink option over soda!! I cannot wait to come back to this place & I hope they open one closer to my house.

Yelp
This is a basic no-frills strip mall chicken joint. It's a decent bite to eat when you're in the area and the staff was super friendly and helpful, but it has some acceptable flaws such that I didn't think it was worth going out of my way for. The food is not bad by any means, but I did not understand the hype. We got the spicy chicken tenders with fries and Mac Salad as sides. For sauces we got the buffalo ranch, sweet/spicy and the kickin' sauce. Honestly I think the thing this place has going for it is the sauces, they are extremely tasty and if they sold them by the gallon I'd buy. The "spicy" chicken did not feel very spicy to us, but the chicken pulled apart nicely and tasted great. However, we did think that the breading was a little too thick in places, making it crunchy and sometimes hard to eat. Also, the tenders are very thick and large, which may sound like a plus but it made them a bit more difficult to eat and towards the end made the meal feel monotonous. I found the drink selection and sides to be the most disappointing about this joint. Fountain drink options were your basic Coke/Diet Coke/Sprite/etc. The fries are cut incredibly thin to the point where eating them was like eating out of a basket of crumbs. And then the Mac Salad was nothing special at all... if you were to tell me it was from King Soopers I'd believe you. But let me just reiterate that the food is good. The flavors are also unique and can get quite tasty. If you are fried chicken fan and you're in the area, I would recommend checking the place out. But this being the 2nd highest Yelp rated restaurant in Denver makes it easy to forget to manage your expectations. Also, someone should tell the owner to run the old lint roller over the shirt they have hanging on the wall by the drink section :)
google avatar

Shannon Y.

Yelp
I tried the OG Chicken Sandwich "spicy" and the Mexican Street Corn for my side. This extra crispy Korean style chicken tenders was delicious. I liked the heavy hand of fresh pickles and slaw mix to cool the heat of the spicy breading. I also enjoyed the thick toasted bread the sandwich was served on. My street corn was sweet and had a very citrus lime flavor. I would preferred a bit more char on the corn but it was still tasty and I did not waste a kernal.

Yelp
Love this place so much!!! Best chicken I've had in Colorado by far. Affordable, plus they have bread pudding. My go-to is spicy chicken and waffles. I wish I could ask for two waffles because I can't get enough! Staff is always friendly and recognize me now because I go so often lol.

Yelp
Always enjoy going here. Everything is well seasoned, tasty, fresh! The menu is simple and perfect. Service is always great!

Yelp
The chicken katsu was sooooo good!! Will be eating it again! Bubble waffle was way good too!

Yelp
I THOUGHT GOOD ASIAN FUSION FOOD WAS A LOST CAUSE IN LAKEWOOD BUT I THOUGHT WRONG. This is a Vietnamese inspired fried chicken sandwich spot that took over that old Sunday. I have to say, their friend chicken and fried chicken sandwiches can compete with the awesome Asian fusion ones found in the California food scene. I highly recommend the chicken sandwich and the coleslaw. It's not your average coleslaw, it's way better! This is another small local Asian business that definitely deserves the love. Parking: free lot Seating: indoor table Wifi: no Payment: cash, card, tap Vibe: trendy upscaled fast food Dress code: casual

Yelp
Food was fresh, great variety and great taste. Chicken was cooked perfectly, not greasy and not dry.

Yelp
Nice big juicy crunchy chicken in the sandwich, that's a winner!! I really liked it with the unique slaw. Had the fried rice was ok. Nice workers.

Yelp
Good chicken and decent prices very juicy and cooked to perfection! Check it out! Ask about the different sauces!

Yelp
Simple food done exceedingly well and reasonably priced. I'm now a regular. Can be very busy and the wait is worth it.

Yelp
- Reminded me of a chik fil a sandwich but better - Get the fried rice, it's SO good - The mac salad is a cold macaroni mix. Not a fan - Not a fan of the skinny fries either - Their litchi is really good! - Thai iced tea on the sweeter side

Yelp
Well, it's true! The Chicken is Kickin!!! This was my first time here and the service was excellent. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and asked if we had been there before, and were helped right away. I Ordered the Spicy chicken sandwich with 2 sauces: Jalapeño Honey Mustard and Buffalo Ranch and for my side I got the Vietnamese cole slaw. It was all incredible. The chicken was fresh, and huge! The spice kicks in a little later, like a time released type of heat. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Great place! So happy this opened a while ago as it gives me a consistent place to hit when I'm Jonesing for that Nashville hot or just some wings. The wings are breaded, which I'm not a huge fan of, but they are still pretty good.

Ethan W.

Yelp
THE best chicken spot in Denver. Great food, great price, great service. parking is horrible but 1000% worth it
