Best chicken from a fast food-style place I've ever tried. The chicken was perfectly-cooked, unbelievably moist (almost to the point of being 'wet,' if I may dare to say!) and flavorful. Tried the BBQ pulled chicken sandwich, 3-piece Old-school Bone-in Broasterie/Genuine Broaster, kick's stick (i.e. garlic bread), roasted corn, mac n' cheese, and sweet potato fries. Everything was AMAZING. The kick's stick was crispy, soft, perfectly seasoned with a garlic-and-herbs mixture, and toasted just right. The roasted corn was flavorful, crunchy, sweet, and well-portioned. The mac n' cheese was really good- gooey and cheesy. The sweet potato fries were thickly-cut, crispy, pillowy, and flavorful with sprinkled sea salt. (I usually don't like sweet potato fries, but these changed my mind.)
I feel like they pay attention to EVERY little detail, from the sauces they use to the bun that they sandwiched the pulled chicken in. The bun was DELICIOUS. It was so well-toasted and the dough itself was airy and light, yet crispy and had a great texture. Is it possible for bread to have great mouth-feel? I don't know but I would bet on it. Even the onion strings on the sandwich were perfectly golden. The service was great. I want to come back and try EVERYTHING on their menu. I wish there were more Kick's Chicken Cafe's around.
They even serve beer! =)
