Google
Great food, great service and great atmosphere! Their menu is fabulous. Everything is very delicious. I recommend the garlic dip appetizer or/and the hummus appetizer. For an entree, consider the salmon. So delicious! Lots of parking here. Lots of seating options. All arounds great spot for families or meetups with friends.

Google
We visited kickstand brewing company on a Monday evening for dinner and drinks and truly enjoyed our experience. They have the juiciest chicken tenders which were delicious along with their blonde beer, cherry wheat and steak tacos. The service was great and so was the atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

Google
Awesome old school-style brewpub. Excellent british-style pub beer, well-made food, and a fun, inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend the Brewery Burger (which, with its onion rings, could be the biggest f'n burger I've ever seen in my life -- check out my video). Best beer is the Amber Ale, but the stout is fantastic as well. Great for kids, too!

Google
Honestly based on the reviews and how empty and quiet the place was upon entering, I wasn't expecting a whole lot. I wanted a burger and I didn't find much said about those. While I'm still struggling to accept inflation and feel like $16.50 is a bit steep... compared to similarly priced burgers I've had, this was actually amazing. We shared a Spicy Southwest Burger and it was cooked right and the toppings were great. Fries are crispy yet soft inside. I was also pleasantly satisfied with all 4 of the beers on my flight (3 seasonal and 1 staple). Will come back and recommend when in the area again!

Google
Stopped in for a quick flight and snack. Beers were all good, but the Birch Bark porter was great. The Center Stage Amber stood out for the style as well. Big menu, but we will need to go back and check them out. Pizzas were flying out of the kitchen. Other than being a little loud inside the atmosphere was relaxing and typically brewery style. Lots of TVs though, which is outside the norm of most breweries I visit.

Google
I can’t believe that I haven’t written a single sentence about our favorite local brewery in 3 years. I always wanted to because the food, the service and the beer are outstanding, and we’ve never been disappointed, but I was too lazy to do so. This time the chef and kitchen staff exceeded our expectations! It was our perfect birthday evening: favorite beer Wild Wild Westy in combination with a delicious pork shank. The weekend specials are fantastic ideas. Thanks for making us happy and constantly reinventing yourself. We love you guys and are looking forward to dining out again and again and again!!! Worth the wait! Photo: BRAISED VOLCANO PORK SHANK Braised pork shank served over creamy mashed potatoes, along with a red wine reduction and broccolini

Google
A decent place with a great beer selection. Nothing stood out as spectacular but nothing was bad either. Just a solid place to eat and drink. I’d certainly go back.

Google
My son had a bday party to go to at urban air so my husband and I decided to spend some time here. WOW! What a great atmosphere and the food was even better. We shared pulled pork fries which could have fed 3 people. Was so delicious. Bartender Rick was also awesome and on top of everything. Highly recommend and will be back to try more.

Laura K.

Yelp
The service here is very good. I can't remember a bad experience with any of the staff. Love their beer selection and the wine. I am not a mixed drink person, but others have told me they love what they have had here. The food I have had has been very good, too. My only complaint is the lack of vegetarian offerings and the the non-existent vegan options. I understand that most people in this area are meat eaters but I know there are plenty of vegetarians and vegans who would love more choices in and around Commerce. We would definitely frequent your restaurant a whole lot more if you were to offer more of these options.

Yelp
The food was very good, The service was good. I really liked the fried pickles. My nephew got fish n chips and it was a HUGE filllet (like the size of a whole fish). We got a good laugh out of it. It was really good.

Yelp
Came in her for a couple drinks after the rain chased us out of the cider mill nearby. We ended up getting some food too (they had a great selection of "bar food" on the menu so we couldn't resist. We got some chicken tenders with some really tasty BBQ sauce. It was a bit spicy but still good. Since we're in the midst of fall at the time of me writing this, so many of us at the table got the pumpkin ale and other fall beers. They all tasted really good and had great fall-like flavors in brewed in them. The inside looked pretty roomy for large groups or just coming in for a drink or two. Would definitely come back if we're ever out this way again.

Yelp
From the minute you walk into this brewery, it instantly feels warm, inviting, and comfortable. It's bright and open, and they offer all different types of seating. Everything feels clean, stylish, and well-taken care of. Service is fast and efficient, and I've never had a problem any of the times I've eaten here. They have a wide selection of all sorts of beer styles and flavors, plus hard cider and seltzer. The cocktail menu is interesting and unique, with classic selections, funky new concoctions & seasonal specials. We always start with a drink and an order of edamame, which is pan-seared and sprinkled with flaky sea salt! (Order it- you won't be sorry!) My go-to meal is a margarita and the Michigan Salad, as it's a no-fail choice in my book! They use an assorted mix of artisan lettuces, pickled red onion, dried cherries, Granny Smith apples, walnuts, cider vinaigrette, and blue cheese crumbles, which I always swap out for chèvre. It's the perfect size and we never have to take home leftovers! My husband usually opts for a wrap or sandwich, like the Chicken Caesar Naan. The warm puffy pita-like wrap with the addition of bacon takes the Caesar salad filling to a whole 'nother level! He LOVES it! Kickstand is great for meeting up with family and friends, hosting a small event, hanging out at the bar, or even sharing an intimate date night with your person :) We don't head out towards the Commerce area very often, but when we do, we always want to come here! Make sure you stop in, grab a beer or cocktail, some edamame, and don't leave without a t-shirt or sticker!
google avatar

Yelp
Kickstand is always a great time. The servers are friendly and the atmosphere is very nice. I feel like everyone I know who comes here gets some combination of salmon and from what I hear it's really good! I tend to always stick with the Cesar salad with a boatload of avocado and it tastes amazing every time. You also can't go wrong with the Mahi Mahi tacos as well. They also carry a good varieties of wine and beers on draft. Always worth stopping by if you're in the area.

Yelp
google avatar

Sharina J.

Yelp
I ordered the fish & chips and it was so greasy I couldn't eat them. The service was good, the restaurant is clean and the beer is delicious. So three out of four things were good... not bad. I would definitely come back just not to eat. My husband got chicken strips and onion rings. He left the onion rings because of how greasy those were also.

Yelp
After a few visits I can honestly say this place has grown on me. It's a bar with a bar atmosphere, but it's not divey and it doesn't have a ton of tv's glaring at you. The food is consistently good and service is attentive. From pizza to fancier things like the bourbon salmon, you can't go wrong, it's all delicious! I am not a beer drinker so I can't speak to that (though there are always a lot of options on tap), but the drink menu is fun with creative and yummy concoctions. My only dis is the seating; the chairs are uncomfortable after a while (for these older bones :)

Yelp
In a strip mall which allowed for ample parking in well lit safe environment. Had some nice outdoor patio seating and inside nice bar and seating for large and small parties. Great place to watch sporting events with TVs everywhere to ensure you don't miss anything from multiple games. Service was great. The food and beer were better. Had the village pizza which has a basalmic glaze to provide just enough sweet to go with the savory meats on it. Mahi Mahi tacos were def the star of there menu though. Recommend getting them blackened to provide a little spice which paired perfectly. For beer tried the Sorachi Blonde which wasn't overly heavy and had nice flavor
google avatar

Yelp
100% recommend. My favorite thing in the menu? The chicken tenders. Could eat bowls of them with ranch. The salads, pizza, beer, and appetizers were good as well. We've been here a few times and still like going back. Servers are always nice, and the big space makes it nice so it's not a small loud bar. Becoming a bi-weekly tradition in our house.

Yelp
Enjoyed the time at Kickstand. Solid beer and tasty food. They were kid friendly with the open floor set up. The waitress was very nice and patient with a child under 2. I would go back again.

Yelp
First time going to the kickstand and will be the last. Ordered the burger. The bun was warm, but the burger itself was cold. Maybe the burgers are premade and place in a warmer, but it was nasty. Won't go back. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean, but the burger was a no go for me. Several people seemed to order the pizza so maybe the pizza is good, don't know.

Mariah C.

Yelp
food was eh, no flavor. drinks were really good! atmosphere was really good! will have to try more than what we got but the recommendation given weren't it...
google avatar

Heather D.

Yelp
We come here a lot as a family. They have great salads and pizza and their chicken tenders are a hit with my picky daughter! Reasonable prices and very neighborhood feel. Staff is also friendly and knowledgeable.
google avatar

CJ M.

Yelp
Would have gotten 5 stars if the middle aged gentlemen at the front desk was such a rude person on the phone and in person. Glad we still decided to dine in after the rude call. The food was amazing. The rest of the staff was pleasant and we enjoyed the actual dining experience. Great impossible burger and tendies! ** great iced tea!

Yelp
My friends like to come here for the chicken tenders special they run on Wednesdays ($1.50/tender, 5pc or 10pc). You get two sauces with your order, might not be enough if you get 10 tenders and love to cover your tenders in sauce. I'm a person that also likes to dip my tenders in ketchup so I'm fine. They are truly the tenderloin portion of the chicken breast and come out made to order hot and fresh with a light coating on them - they're juicy too! I feel like they would be a ton tastier with a bit more seasoning or if they would brine them but I guess that's where your sauce comes in. I chose the garlic parm and the bbq. I've def had better garlic parm and bbq was your regular run of the mill stuff but does the trick. Ambiance is casual and comfortable - parking is ample and good for a group. Menu has some unique offerings like a Seoul Bowl and chicken yakitori.

Yelp
The chicken caesar wrap with no bacon is my personal go to! It is just made and brought to me by a waiter so eloquently that I am unable to prevent myself from ordering it. My favorite part of the wrap it the beautiful texture of the pita bread in constraint to the grilled seasoned chicken, ugh and the cheese, don't even get me started, it is just so good. I like the atmosphere too, it is a cute place, very spacious but cozy!
google avatar

Yelp
First let me admit that I didn't come for the beer, so I can't comment on beverages. I did come with business colleagues for pub-style food and was disappointed. It was Taco Two'sDay which means only that they offer more tacos that day of the week, not a discount. My colleagues had tacos and a cajun shrimp linguine pasta. Both said the food was "good but not great." I had a shredded chicken taco and a shredded pork taco both of which weren't very hot (despite sending them back once for being cold), flavorful or spicy. The atmosphere is clean, casual and friendly. Portion sizes are reasonable. Prices are competitive but not a bargain. Service was good. Given the boisterous conversation at the bar, I'm guessing people come for the beer and alcohol first, not the food.

Yelp
Great food always fresh ! Appreciate the great service! And Always appreciate the curbside pick up! Brit

Yelp
First time we came here we got the burger. Asked for med rare and got well done. Seasonless and overcooked. The second time we got tenders. Perfect meal, great sauces, no complaints. Now I feel I need to rant a bit. Idk what in the world you served me but that is NOT tartar sauce. I asked the waitress Cassy (super nice woman, accommodating and was NOT the problem) if there was anything "weird" about there tartar sauce, she said no and we had a laugh about it. Well that wasn't entirely correct because this tartar came out with a red hue in it. I tasted it, definitely not a standard tartar. Tasted really bad and didn't compliment our fish at all. Also, fish and chips would be much easier to cook properly if the fish was portioned smaller. My fish came out like a giant lobster claw 10 inches long, drowning in oil and was over cooked. Now to the establishment itself. Why is there insulation stuffed inside of pallets directly near fans? You know insulation isn't good for your health right? Will not be back, we've learned our lesson. Stay away from this place.

Yelp
Every dish I have tried here has been fantastic! The pizza is some of the best around. They have a nice variety of beers to try and I'm never disappointed when they release a new one! Service is always friendly, and timely. We love bringing out of town guests here because it never disappoints!
google avatar

Sherry D.

Yelp
Overall always good food who ever is over when we get carry out it's our go to good selection and good food.

Yelp
My boss was in town. We met at Kickstand for dinner. She wanted the dill pickles for an appetizer - yum, right? I ordered the salmon with bourbon glaze, broccoli rabe & rice. So good. I love me some salmon and it DID not disappoint. It was SUPER busy, but we were able to have a conversation without screaming.
google avatar

Bryan B.

Yelp
Been going to kickstand for years as it's the only place near that is consistent in terms of the food. Have tried many dishes from the pizzas, burgers and entrees . The bourbon salmon is a regular go too. The sweet and spicy chicken sandwich is fantastic . There homemade soups usually Hit 10/10, especially the broccoli cheddar . We always opt to sit at the bar where things can be hot or cold. If Lauren is at the bar , you get top notch service , shes very pleasant and friendly . If it's not her the bartenders are usually very quiet and not as quick to check on you .

Yelp
Good food, good bear, but doesn't have a big enough selection or enough drinks specials for people who don't drink bear. Friendly people

Yelp
What fun and good food we had! It was Taco Tuesday and they looked good... but we had our taste buds say PIZZA so we ordered that, cob salad and one dark beer each. It was a balanced meal, right! ?? We loved the the food and drink, really good and not so expensive. The salad was great with all sowers of tastes- cheese, bacon, red onions, avocado, bacon, corn, tomatoes-such a good combination. Fun place, lots of sports and no News, alright by us?! I liked the music, groups of happy people: families, old , young, friends and dinner dates... all good. Everyone seemed happy. Not crazy crowded, noisy but not too loud. Good service and lots of food choices.
google avatar

Nick D.

Yelp
I have been here several times and let me tell you... this establishment is one of the best breweries I've been too. You can taste the care and attention to detail in each dish. These dishes, although simple, were elegantly crafted gastro pub dishes. Don't be scared the dishes and atmosphere will still keep you in that casual social vibe that a brewery should provide. The pictures of my dish were taken less than an hour before close and quality did not suffer and neither did the service. In addition, they offer a great draft beer menu compiled with local and seasonal favorites. We can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Yelp
The best restaurant in the area. It is on the pricier side but totally worth it. I highly recommend it for families, we always bring our toddler & love that it's a kid friendly brewery. Service is always great & the only time I've had to wait was when the place is slammed with a dinner rush, which is to be expected. FAVES: Chicken tenders with the garlic parm sauce (request extra sauce) Mahi mahi tacos (if you like spicy, a must try) House Burger Sweet potato fries Michigan Salad *CHILI LIME STEAK TACOS - this entree is my go-to and & it tastes amazing every time. Bravo kickstand on this winner, THE BEST STEAK TACOS EVER. Who ever came up with this medley of goodness deserves a raise. They do not skimp on the steak, bless your hearts dear chefs. FOR THE KIDS: My toddler devours their pepperoni pizza & let me tell you, you will also help if you order this for your child. He's also a fan of the grill cheese with apple slices & the sweet potato fries DRINKS: Center Stage Amber Birch Bark Porter Long Strange Trip *ask for a sample - they're really good about letting you taste before you order Now all that's missing is a weekend brunch option. Crossing my fingers!

Yelp
My husband had a drs appt here in Commerce so we thought we would try lunch. Omg five star is so true. I had a Rendezvous drink which was awesome We had a side salad which was huge. I had the French dip with onion rings. So so tasty. My husband had chicken tenders. The best. Very light coating. Thank you.

Jim S.

Yelp
Good food, decent prices and great beer menu. Only negative is it can be a little loud at times

Yelp
I kinda feel like Kickstand is one of those tucked away gems. It sits back in a plaza, but don't let it's location fool you, it's spacious and big inside. Kickstand is a brewery that has beer, of course, but also has wine, and cocktails- so there's something for all your drinking needs. This time around I actually had a crisp hard cider that was super refreshing. My husband has enough beer to keep him trying a different beer each time. The menu has a lot of choices ranging from appetizers, to pizzas, to big meals. (Deals on taco Tuesday, if you're feeling the Mexican vibe with a margarita!)! Portions are big and the food has not been disappointing. Chicken and waffles have the perfect heat and sweet to it. The chili-lime steak tacos are amazing and stuffed with flavor. The chicken tender appetizers are on a special on Wednesday and are huge chicken chunks with many flavors of sauce to dip. The only thing I haven't hit yet are the desserts, but you have to have a reason to go back, right?

Briana V.

Yelp
We've been here a dozen times and the food and service have always been great. Today, a woman brought in a full size doodle and seemed to be a friend or co-worker of the staff. She stayed for at least 45 minutes (she was still there when we left) and hung out by the bar chatting with the staff. She didn't order food, so if it was a service dog, the visit was purely social and clearly she was showing off the dog to her friends. They would stop by, pet and socialize with the dog. Then make drinks and serve food. I didn't see any hand sanitizer or hand washing. The dog sniffed the ice buckets, shook his hairy coat by the bar and jumped up on the wait staff. It was unappetizing and unhygienic. None of the employees seemed to think it was inappropriate to interact with a dog while working with food. Needless to say, we won't be back.
google avatar

LeVonne K.

Yelp
The food is good. The service is good, but can be slow. They lost one star. This restaurant is always cold! But I guess if you have enough drinks, you won't notice!
google avatar

Mary C.

Yelp
Let me tell you the best appetizer is the beer cheese with fried pita- such a great flavor- I tried a little and was blown away - order it- you're welcome. It's sooo delicious The salmon with risotto was far too sweet for my taste. Perhaps it was the bourbon incorporated within the salmon and throughout the risotto. My friends liked their dishes which were the burgers and tacos. Would come back for a group gathering and apps. Nice service as well
google avatar

Mary Kay B.

Yelp
I loved this place! My meal was the patty melt with the beer bartered onion rings. Our appetizer was the beer cheese. I was not a fan. I think it was the gouda cheese for me. It honestly took me a bit to figure out why the bicycles were in there. Duh, Kickstand. Anyways, i would recommend stopping in.

Yelp
Just got back from Hawaii and this was our go-to!! My girl & I go for brews and dinner often and love the vibe & service! The Food is stellar and the servers are always making you feel top of mind. Always tons of parking and everything well lit ! Good times

Mike D.

Yelp
Food was awesome. Hailey our waitress was always checking in on us. Drink sizes were very skimpy for the price. House margherita was so small for $9. No way
google avatar

Nancy D.

Yelp
Love the pizza, salads, chicken fingers and beer! Great if you have kids too! We've sat at the bar and had great service.
google avatar

Dan S.

Yelp
Best bar food in the Commerce area! Also, best fish and chips in the metro Detroit area!

Yelp
Bummer the Seoul bowl comes with chargrilled beef and no poultry options, or do they? They offer the Seoul bowl with grilled chicken after all. Their white truffle gnocchi sounds interesting too. There's quite a lot of people in here, still 25% capacity, maybe. Jessica is waiting on us tonight. The only thing that looks mildly interesting enough to consider would be the bourbon salmon and that's not super appetizing at all. We got the southwest grilled burger, substituting with chicken and a Seoul bowl with chicken and the beet and pear salad. The Seoul bowl and the beet and pear salad were the only two items that looked remotely interesting to me at all. I have low expectations tonight, playing it safe. The beet and pear salad was good, a bit more chèvre goat cheese wouldn't have hurt, it was a bit skimp for me. Balsamic reduction sauce and vinaigrette was a good pairing. The grilled chicken was good with the alioli. The fries were golden and crispy. The Seoul bowl with Seoul-less for me. The gochujang had a bit of heat, slightly garlicky, but had the syrupy flavor of a BBQ sauce instead of a hot and sweet chili sauce. The rice was bad, uncle Ben's bad, flat and not fluffy. The bowl wasn't justified being called a Seoul bowl to me. No fried egg or egg at all. Just rename it to a kickin' bowl or something dissociated to South Korea altogether, it's an insult to my ethnicity and birth country. It's overpriced for $17 for this bowl. Any Korean restaurant in Troy or the vicinity would never extort customers with a chicken bibimbap or even a Dolsot chicken bibimbap for over $14 at most. I can't believe I paid $17 for a subpar knock-off chicken bibimbap. :/ I should have gotten a big and amazing bowl for $17. If you are going to do a Seoul bowl, do it right or don't do it at all The chicken sandwich and the salad were on par with dinner pricing.

Yelp
We went here recently and loved it - so good! I had the best burger I've had in a while - their Brewery Burger. Delicious. Partner got the fish tacos and they looked incredible and got rave reviews. We shared the garlic beer cheese dip, which was also very tasty. Got a flight and liked most of their beers - and they make a very nice cider as well. Staff is super nice and checked in on us regularly. Easy to see why this spot came highly recommended to us. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Amazing place? The food is AMAZING and super delicious! The village pizza is a must ( basil, bacon, vinaigrette) and the burgers are amazing too! French fries are the best ever! Service is very speedy and servers are kind and quick. The alcohol is good but the food is better!!! Beautiful clean setup. A MUST OF YOURE IN TOWN!!!!

Michelle H.

Yelp
Taco Tuesday, 5:45. Finally got waited on at the bar, restaurant was very empty. Waitress gave menu, quick to take our order, no time to look. Ordered. Felt very rushed. Ordered queso and chips for $6.50. 20 minutes later we finally got it. Tiny bowl of queso that was luke warm. Asked for it to be warmed, she rolled her eyes and took it to a more experienced waitress, who allowed her to send it back. Couple next to us ordered the queso/salsa and chips for $1 more and got twice the amount of queso plus the salsa. We left not wanting to spend any more money here.

Valerie H.

Yelp
Their food was exceptional and I would highly recommend the Loaded Pork Fries Appetizer! Great server staff too!

Chris K.

Yelp
My wife and I were INCREDIDBLY disappointed with the food. Both taste and overall quality. Our beer cheese dip appetizer was tasteless and watery. Our server was delightful and brought us new chips upon our request. My wife ordered the sliders, I ordered the BBQ Chicken pizza. Each entrée was unremarkable at best, well below average at worst. Kickstand has so much potential due to its atmosphere, ambiance, and collection of craft beers. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food simply does not meet the mark.
google avatar

Gustaaf J.

Yelp
Kickstand is a solid place to go for friends who are looking to have a good time eating and catching up. The food is great and the servers are always helpful. It can be a bit chilly though, so bring a jacket!

Glenda G.

Yelp
Cool atmosphere, clean. Good drinks and appetizers. Prompt service. Good place for watching sports!

Shelley S.

Yelp
Cool place, very big, said a half hour wait but only waited 12 so that was a plus and got in and out in under a hour! Good service, quick with the food, the garlic beer cheese dip with the pita chips, so good, the fish and chips so tasty and huge! The fish took up the whole plate, I'm not sure if it's usually such a big piece but it was delicious. Cesar salad naan was also very good, I loved the added bacon and the fries were so so good

Yelp
Great food! Good parking. Conveniently located in proximity to where I live. Worth visiting.
