"Don’t be fooled by the chandeliers and industrial glam of this wood-fired Mediterranean restaurant. For under $19, you can order entrees like salmon or wild trout with quinoa and cucumber salsa, lamb skewers with artichokes and portobellos, and 48-hour brined pork chops with white beans. For less, burgers come with house-seasoned kettle chips, and the lunchtime Pick Two is especially a steal when you choose two meat options." - Su-Jit Lin

The food was delicious. The spinach and feta dip was everything I imagined. The Big Mac daddy burger and chips were 10/10. My margarita was strong and tasty. Bee was an amazing waitress, very helpful and great personality. My first time and I will definitely be back. The flies were the only negative lol, something the restaurant can’t control. I’ll be eating inside next time.

🍽️ Before I mention the negative, I do want to say the food was great, our server was very attentive, and the vibe is fun! It's our second time here and we will probably go back; although this time the tres leches kind of tasted like a refrigerator - which I did mention to the server. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Okay, that being said... The bathroom was absolutely gross. 🤢 The smell was like stale urine, there were paper towels overflowing as well as on the floor. Honestly if I would have seen the bathroom before I ate I may not have stayed. The chair rail was sticky with dust, so it probably wasn't a one-off. The back hall looks like a storage closet. No I did not mention this to management because at that point the meal was over and my party was leaving. I hope management sees this and takes a good couple hours to clean up the back hall as well as the bathrooms, especially the left one that we used. We love supporting local businesses, and hope this will be taken to heart.

I was visiting Charlotte from Indiana and heard about Kid Cashew from google. I am so glad I found this spot. To start off, I ordered the wood fired beets, and they were really interesting. They had a beautiful char on them. The combination of the goat cheese, mandarins, beets, and pistachios was unique. The pistachios and the mandarins added a nice sweetness to the dish. I also ordered the chicken and avocado sandwich. It was amazing! The chicken itself had so much flavor because of how it's cooked. The bread is local and very good too. The atmosphere is nice. It's a little noisy but you can still hear your party just fine. The decor didn't make too much sense. It was very quaint, though. I definitely recommend Kid Cashew if you are in the area. My sister and her husband traveled from Raleigh to meet me, and they also loved their food. It's definitely worth it and inexpensive, too.

If you want to feel like you're at your best friend's house, who happens to be a chef, you've come to the right place. Casual dining inside, covered "front yard" dining, and open sidewalk dining. Parking can be a little tricky, but you've got to make it happen. They have NO HEAT LAMPS in the kitchen, so all food is brought out as it's ready. We love sharing our food and eating slowly, so this was a perfect fit for us. Check out my menu photos and our food choices. Our server, Kimberly, really made our night special. Her service and recommendations were spot on, and her birthday candle lighting made us all laugh. We got there a few minutes before 6pm, so we ordered a bunch of appetizers and a couple of entrees. We will definitely be back on a regular basis.

Google
Kid Cashew was amazing! My family and I visited after an active day of play and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our server was very attentive/kind and explained the menu and uniqueness of the restaurant. We loved the smokiness of the Octopus and the delicious simplicity of the quinoa salad. If the name didn't tell you, it's a great place for kids. We will definitely be going back soon!

Google
Kid Cashew is an eccletic and hip spot. The perfect place to go out with friends or a fun date night. The shrimp and polenta were a flavor bomb in your mouth! It's a little greasy but very tasty. My favorite was the beet and arugula salad, delicious😁. The pork chop was ok, a little too peppery. The pepper seasoning overpowered the dish. The service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was lively and Fun! I Would definitely try it again.

Google
Kid Cashew has always been a consistent spot and they provide a great lunch deal, which we took full advantage of. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the vibe inside was cozy, especially on a rainy day. Was not the biggest fan of having kettle chips with my burger, I’d suggest fries being the default side option for the burgers. However, I highly recommend the lamb burger and the mac and cheese!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Amazing! Kid Cashew in Charlotte is a total gem. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting—with a stylish, rustic-chic vibe that’s both comfortable and trendy. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about our experience. The food? Incredible. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The burger was perfectly cooked and juicy, the Stuffed Avocado and Spinach Dip were addictive, and the Ceaser Salad with Grilled Palms really stole the show. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and take pride in what they serve. Also worth mentioning—we set on the outdoor patio which is perfect for a laid-back lunch. And the cocktail menu did not dissappoint. Whether you're a local or just passing through Charlotte, Kid Cashew is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Yelp
Food delicious. Atmosphere trendy. Service good. The pineapple mimosas were fantastic!

Yelp
This is the first time dining in. I have ordered take out 2 other times and the food has been great. This time I was very impressed with everything from drinks to dessert. Our waiter informed us that the starters were $6 and some of the cocktails were also $6. We went on a Thursday around 5:15 got there just before the crowd came. The lavender lemonade cocktail was quite tasty. We started with All Three Spreads- Hummus, Tzatziki, Spicy Feta. They were all delicious. Next we got Wood Fire Grilled Spanish Octopus, Meatball Au Poivre, Wood-Fire Grilled Beets, and Cilantro-Lime Marinated Chicken Skewers all $6 each. What a great deal and they were all fantastic. For the main course: Super Grain & Avocado with Salmon- garden greens, tri-color quinoa, fennel, pistachio, cilantro yogurt, mandarin orange, lemon vinaigrette. We ended our meal with Baklava, which was a little over baked but otherwise very good and dulce de leche cake. Definitely recommend this place. The service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and always came back to check on us and refill our water. The place is quite noisy but overall it's great.

Yelp
After a long work day, I went to Kid Cashew to get my favorite salad, their beet salad. Once I a few bites into my meal did I chomp on something that evidently was *not* supposed to be in there. To my surprise I spit out what appeared to be a piece of hard plastic resembling a prong of a black to-go fork. I told my waiter what I just witnessed to then only get his reply, "Are you sure it's not just octopus?", I found this extremely dismissive. The manager then came to my table to apologize and offered a replacement meal, which was kind. I was also informed by her that the piece of plastic was in fact a broken piece from their to-go containers. Will I eat here again-- no questions asked, the food is out-of-this-world AMAZING, however I am pretty disappointed over the customer service.

Yelp
I'm not sure what has taken me so long to write this review as we have been coming to Kid Cashew for a couple of years now, with our most recent visit, a couple weeks ago. What we love: *Baked Spinach and Feta Dip *Meatball Trio *Cast Iron Mac and Cheese *Lamb Burger *Rotisserie Chicken *Croque-Madame Sandwich - only offered at brunch What we dislike: *Service is and always has been chaotic with food. We always order a lot, and meals and shareable plates always comes sporadically. Since I usually go with my husband, it's not the biggest deal since we eat off of all the plates. However, to have one meal come, then eventually another, then eventually another, and so on, it's just feels chaotic with all of the constant interruptions. We ordered 7 items this last visit, and it was 7 interruptions within a 10-15 minute window. If they could fix this to serve everything together, or have most everything served together, I would be happy to give Kid Cashew 5 stars. *Prices on website are outdated and incorrect. For example, one item we ordered is $8.95 on the website, but the price at the restaurant is $11.95. I definitely recommend Kid Cashew as they have some excellent food options. Just know to go early, as it can get very busy quickly. As a plus, they are dog friendly on the patio!

Adrienne S.

Yelp
I'd give this place a solid 4 because the food is good and they have a great selection of options, including halal chicken and vegan options. I ordered the Lamb cheese burger and although it was tasty, it was a bit too greasy for me. As soon as you bite into it juice oozes all over your plate and when you sit it down it runs all into the chips, making them soggy. My bread was pretty soggy too. The rest of my tabled ordered the shrimp and grits and all loved it. I'd come again and just try something different. Our waiter was attentive and pleasant. The restaurant had a rustic vibe and an outdoor patio that I can't wait to check out in the spring or summer. I had no trouble finding a parking spot in the lot, and the prices were pretty fair. The Lamb burger was a double burger with chips and cost around $14. Overall I think this place is worth checking out.

Yelp
Delicious and fresh food! Don't miss the salmon -- it's perfectly cooked and paired with a fresh cucumber salad. The portion sizes are perfect here, and you can share multiple things if you like, too. The inside ambiance is fine, if not a little cramped, but the patio is lovely. Our server was nice as well.

Cheryl M.

Yelp
The food was delivered fast. It was carefully packaged and served warm! Serving sizes for delivery and takeout are the same as when dining inside. Good food. Fast service and prepared carefully and considerately.

Sloan M.

Yelp
I have been wanting to go to Kid Cashew for a while now. What i didn't know is they offer drink and food specials from 4 to 6pm which made it really worth going. The food as you see was great and I highly recommend the meatballs, octopus and the spinach dip. The service was quick and good. I would definitely be back.

Felicia A.

Yelp
The service was on time and the flavors were on point. I appreciated the eclectic decor perfectly fit the name in my opinion. The food! Normally when I have a dish which has what appears to be iceburg lettuce I don't have great expectations however the combination was perfect with the quinoa, Avocado and chipotle dressing. The Brussel sprouts had just the right amount of texture and not too much salt. The olive oil was not too heavy and the minimal amount of char on the leaves was well balanced. Really made to perfection.

Cristina R.

Yelp
Kid Cashew is affordable, friendly & unpretentious, with a large patio, and delicious, fresh food. What's not to love?? Our party of 2 came in on a Sunday evening a little after 7pm and were seating right away on the patio. Our server recommended that we try some of the items cooked in the wood-fired grill. She also explained that the kitchen doesn't use heat lamps, so the food comes out as it's ready. Honestly - that's preferable! We started with the trio of dips, which came with a hefty amount of warm pita. Although they were all tasty, we agreed the spicy feta was our fave! We then got the grilled octopus, which was nicely charred and served atop quinoa. The shrimp and polenta was creamy, garlicky comfort food. And the rotisserie lamb gyro was solid. We expected the final bill to be higher considering the amount and quality of the food. We thoroughly enjoyed our leftovers the next day and are already planning our return!

Michael A.

Yelp
I've always driven by kid cashew and never gave a thought to wanting to dine here. My mom took our family out to eat here and I probably wouldn't have gone otherwise. Don't judge a book by its cover. This place isn't just some vegan/vegetarian spot. They have an assortment of delicious tapas. We got the hummus, grilled octopus, chicken skewers, sausage and beans, meatballs, Mac and cheese, and another in our party got the burger. All of the small plates weren't small enough that you couldn't share and all were very tasty. My only complaint was that the server we had was sometimes hard to find, and we ended up waiting a while for drinks/food and orders to be taken.

Michael F.

Yelp
Good was great, salmon on the Caesar was a bit dry but overall good experience! Great food/drink specials daily and their margarita smacked! Would come back for lunch any time

Kimberly S.

Yelp
This place is good vibes! I love the decor and music. Inside and outside seating. The employees were on top of things, food came out quickly. We were told no heat lamps in the kitchen and food would be brought out as it came up- so not all orders at the same time. I was okay with that!! I'd rather have hot food than cold. My husband had the Chicken Avocado Sandwich with chips. I had the Beet Salad and added pulled rotisserie chicken; very good!! And filling. The Peach Mule was tasty, too! Would definitely go back again, while in uptown Charlotte!

Ian N.

Yelp
Cast Iron Mac & Cheese (4/5): If only this was creamier! The leeks and shallots added such a nice flavor and I loved the baked cheese on top. The big bummer for me was how watery the sauce was (almost a broth-like consistency). The pasta was also a little softer than I like and I wonder if that's because of the watery sauce. Still a great, unique mac & cheese that I would definitely get again though.  1/4 lb Mac Daddy Beef Burger (4/5): Basically a slightly better version of the Big Mac, but similar to the Big Mac, there wasn't enough meat for the amount of bun. The meat was also lacking in flavor and not very juicy. The regular 1/2lb version would fix the bun to meat ratio, but that isn't available for the lunch special.  *Great lunch special: pick two for $12! RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

Bre Y.

Yelp
I ordered for delivery. I had the kids mac n cheese and the sausage and beans. The kids mac n cheese was cheesy and creamy and was a good sized portion! I ordered the sausage and pureed white beans, not sure what to expect as I'd never had it, but it was delicious! The mashed bean sauce of sorts was flavorful and creamy. Would definitely order again!

Laura B.

Yelp
Kid Cashew is always a solid option for a great meal in a cozy setting. The food is fresh and I love the open kitchen so you can see everything being prepared. Their specials are a great deal, but the regular menu is super reasonably priced. Food is filling but never overly heavy. I love the burger, Caesar salad, and the Mac and cheese. I also love how they clearly mark allergies/gluten free items on the menu.

Zara T.

Yelp
Enjoyed the food here! It was very busy when we stopped in on a Sunday. There were some spots outside on the patio and a handful indoors. We chose to sit inside to avoid the heat - it was still pretty warm truthfully as it was crowded! Waitress was nice, definitely busy. They serve tapas style so everything comes out as it's ready, but ours came out together which was nice. Our food was good, it's supposed to be healthy and fresh, too. The menu was on the smaller side, which made sense based on their commitment to fresh everything, no freezing or heat lamps. I also got the impression that the menu changes often. I'd definitely return, at a slower time of day, and would check out their patio in spring or fall!

AJ C.

Yelp
The good: can't beat their $12 lunch special here that gets you two of their classic items! The mac daddy burger was delicious and a great lunch option! Food came out quick and was fresh. The not good: the flies! If you choose to sit outside you will spend more time swatting away huge flies off that keep landing on your plate. Seems like other patrons have been dealing with this too lately. The rotisserie chicken also missed the mark in flavor and size. I would give this place another try during lunch indoors for their specials - hopefully I just caught them at an off time.

Yelp
I'll be in Charlotte for a few weeks so I'm definitely making my rounds while I am here, I've been craving Mediterranean food since my last restaurant review in Atlanta and found myself at Kid Cashew. The restaurant was huge! It has tons of seating both indoor and outdoor options, it was really well lit. I went in the evening so the ambiance was amazing.  We sat outside, and they had the lights all around the patio, they were really nice to look at. The service was good, we were seated rather quickly by the hostess, but unfortunately, it took quite some time for a server to get to us.  We were sitting there for a long while, and eventually our server David got to us. He was really apologetic for the wait, I'm not sure if he was even supposed to be our server but he took really good care of us, he even took a few items off of our tab for the inconvenience and that was greatly appreciated. He gave us some suggestions as far as entrees and dessert, we also got our food very quickly so that definitely made me forget about the long wait. The food was decent, my favorite thing that I ate was the wood-fire grilled octopus....yes, I had octopus lol. I'm making it a point to expand my palate and try new foods, and although I actually have had octopus before it was at a sushi restaurant, this was a completely different experience. I also had a lamb burger and lamb skewers (again was craving Mediterranean) the lambs were good, had them both well done there was a considerable amount of fat in them and I hear that is where all the flavor is but I am not a fan of the consistency.  Both were tasty nonetheless, the dessert was another highlight here, David told us to get the chocolate mousse cake, and it was DELICIOUS. Highly recommended if you stop by Kid Cashew!

Amy K.

Yelp
Absolutely cannot wait to go back to Kid Cashew! 4 of us went for brunch and were quickly seated (we had a reservation). I love the atmosphere of the restaurant - open kitchen, homey decor, and overall, just good vibes! We started with the Baked Spinach and Feta Dip and could not get enough of it. I opted for the Salmon for my entrée, and it was perfectly cooked and served with a cucumber, tomato, quinoa salsa - so so good! A few others amongst the group were the Rotisserie Half Chicken (the cilantro yogurt and tzatziki were to die for) and the Cashew Stack. All of us were very pleased! To wash it all down, we opted for some mimosas, which you really can't go wrong with. Overall, our food came out timely, the staff was friendly, and we enjoyed our time there. See you soon, Kid Cashew!

Maddie K.

Yelp
Still 5 stars every time! The burger was so delicious it's one of my new favorites! The stuffed avocado is a MUST!

Karmyne M.

Yelp
This was my first time trying this place. I've read about it many times but I finally was able to check it out. I am so glad that I did! Everything that I had was amazing!!! I ordered a few items from the small plates menu. I started out with the chicken skewers, and the quinoa avocado... perfectly executed dishes. I then ordered another round of chicken skewers, the beet salad, and the Butterless Brussels. Everything was perfect. Our server Taz was absolutely stellar and very attentive in spite of it being a packed house and she had another larger party she was taking care of. I really enjoyed this place. I will be returning very soon. By the way, I can not consume gluten and dairy and still found plenty of options .

Jenifer N.

Yelp
Excellent experience here!! The octopus was cooked wonderfully and had a great citrus dressing that was divine. The avocado grain salad was bright with mandarin oranges and crunchy pistachios. Staff was busting their bums while still being super friendly!! It was incredibly busy and they were working so so hard! Definitely loud inside, but it was a Saturday at 6pm. Neat decor and the patio looked cozy for warmer nights.

Cierra M.

Yelp
On of my favorite go to places. The food is always hot and fresh. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Creative alcoholic drinks. Favorite menu item is the rotisserie lamb gyro with kettle chips. The lamb is cooked well. Never burnt or too crisp. Tzatziki sauce made in house. Vegan options available as well!

Laurie I.

Yelp
So my daughters have said this place was great but I just got to try it. soooo amazing. Loved everything and the place is so cute.Would love to see a soup on the menu but everything else is amazing. Love the outdoor area as well if you have dogs. Can't wait to go back

BJ S.

Yelp
I came here with my mom as a recommendation from a local. We started our meal with the spicy whipped feta and pita. It was very good and there was certainly enough of it to share with a table of 4. I'd say spice level was about a 4/10 (caveat... I do handle spicy foods well). For entrees, I had the smoked half chicken and my mom had the super grain bowl with salmon. The chicken was extremely tender/flavorful and came with two fantastic dipping sauces. As for the super grain bowl w/ salmon, that was even better! The salmon was some of the best grilled salmon I have ever had. I'm excited to come back and try something new! Bonus points... you can take a nice after dinner walk down the street to Freedom Park to help digest some of that tasty food :)

Rachel B.

Yelp
Great quality food! Outdoor and indoor seating options, great for small groups. The rotisserie chicken and creamy white beans were delicious.

Cyndi N.

Yelp
Fresh food and ridiculously low prices. Everything homemade, no heat lamps, no deep fryers and no freezer. Fresh is where it is at and you will not be disappointed. Joanna our server was excellent and guided us through the menu. Excellent and can't wait to be back!

Keith W.

Yelp
When visiting K.C. I was definitely wanting my experience to be memorable, and it definitely was. I've always seen this establishment but finally able to come in. I ordered the burger which to my surprise was a double, and when you're looking for that freshness and taste of a well cooked burger This Is It! The staff was attentive, available, and friendly. It will get packed inside so come in early. A must Try.

Cayla M.

Yelp
This was delicious! They have options if you want to be on the healthier side (including vegan options) - but also big cheeseburgers, etc., if you want to indulge. It was much bigger inside than I imagined! They have a bar and some drink specials, too. Good pricing, good service, good food, all around good experience.

Maurice V.

Yelp
I haven't personally been in person to this restaurant, but my wife got me a burger from there one evening and even with it being ordered pickup it was delicious. I can only imagine how much better it would be had I decided to head in and try it at the restaurant. I have passed by the spot a few times while driving around Charlotte and the vibe always looks immaculate

Lacey ..

Yelp
Food was delicious, service was prompt, outdoor ambience was nice. Our party had ages 9-72. The kids weren't thrilled their burger was 'fancy' so be sure to adjust as needed.

John B.

Yelp
I ordered to go in part because I thought I couldn't get a table. It was busy, but it was definitely a nice place to eat and was close to the hospital. My takeout was ready quickly, and I took it to a nearby park. Their salad bowl offered a good variety with quinoa, fruit, and nuts. It came with two dressings, which were overkill so I only used a part of each. Creamy white beans on the side were plenty flavorful. Not wanting to roam around looking for a separate dessert on my busy itinerary, I splurged on a chocolate mousse cake and was rewarded with a dynamic strawberry sauce. It was a place with options for all sorts of diets including a separate vegan menu, in a location that is likely to please all sorts of diners.

Joyce L.

Yelp
This place was packed when we came. The service was only okay, temperature of the inside was FREEZING. As for the food, my salad was pretty standard. My cousin's salad was too... BUT the Mac n cheese was the best she and her bf have ever tried. So, if you're here and love cheese, this is one side dish you'll have to try. Just a heads up, this place is called Kid Cashew but none of their dishes feature this ingredient.

Alceen F.

Yelp
I had the lamb burger and it was delicious! Nice and juicy. Double patties. I'm going back‍

Lindsay W.

Yelp
I have been here a few times and have always had a great experience. The love the fun decor and welcoming atmosphere. It is very laid back with great service and delicious food. I like they have a vegan menu with a lot of options. The outdoor patio is great on a beautiful day/night. I walk here whenever possible because the parking is limited and it gets crowded but it is worth it. It is at a great price point too.

Ali P.

Yelp
I really enjoy Kid Cashew. The menu is unique and everything I've tried has been great. They have a very good brunch too. It's an open layout with a patio. Free, good amount of parking and it has a decent price point. The place is always packed, it's that good. They use a first come first serve approach (maybe there's a better term) but the cooks just make all the dishes basically continuously so anyone who orders it, it's just ready. Meaning, you might not get your food when someone else at your table gets theirs. And then you might not get your side until you're halfway done with your main. It's not usually a problem because they are quick with it but it does make the service a little weird. Because of all of that I have had a couple wrong checks, they were all fixed but just be sure to double check!

Logan J.

Yelp
The appetizer dip trio was phenomenal! All 3 dips were good, but my favorite had to be the tzatziki sauce.

L S.

Yelp
Unique menu items and busy atmosphere, it's loud in there fair warning but the food makes it worth it. Never had an issue with staff or waiting too long for something.

Lynn N.

Yelp
I appreciate their plentiful vegetarian/vegan options. The quinoa stuffed avocado and wood-fired beets were my favorites. The food came out as it was prepared so everyone ate at different times, but our group didn't mind. Their outdoor patio space had a nice ambiance with their string lights. The employees were so friendly and were attentive to the tables. Parking is limited, so carpooling is probably best.

Andi M.

Yelp
My husband and I returned to Kid Cashew late one Saturday afternoon after a long hiatus. I don't know why we waited so long after eating there soon after they opened! After we ordered, we enjoyed our drinks. I had the Jimmy Hendricks, subbing club soda for tonic. My husband had a berry concoction. Both were delicious! We started with sharing the wood-grilled octopus. This was one of the best versions of this dish that we've had. The octopus was tender and juicy, and the slightly lemony quinoa was a perfect accompaniment. For our entrees, I had the salmon caesar salad with hearts of palm, and my husband had the wood-fired half chicken with a side of beans. My salmon was perfectly cooked and wonderfully flavored, and I loved the vegan dressing with Parmesan shavings. However, my dish arrived a full 15 minutes before my husband's, so I was done by the time they delivered his meal. But once it arrived, the chicken was so tender and juicy that any disappointment soon disappeared after he took his first bite. It was tender, juicy, and flavorful. Absolutely perfect. And I have to say that while I'm not a huge fan of cannellini beans, theirs will make a bean lover out of anyone. They smoke the beans and serve them with a creamy sauce made from heavy cream and chicken broth. I could have sworn they had mushroom broth in these beans! They were fantastic. Despite the slowness in delivering my husband's meal, everything we ate was delicious. We'll definitely be back!

Bill M.

Yelp
We had 4 of us and had great food and service. We sat outside under an enclosed area with heaters

Sam W.

Yelp
Amazing. While everyone else seems to be raising their prices, you can get delicious tapas here m-f from 3-6 for $6! I recommend the octopus. Brittany was helpful and attentive. Throw in daily drink specials and you have a well deserved five star review.

Rose G.

Yelp
While this place can get a bit loud, especially at lunchtime, the food and service is phenomenal. I have loved everything I've ordered here, all of it tasting yummy. It's all made-to-order so it may take a little while (not too long though - like it's reasonable), but it's worth it with how yummy and fresh everything tastes. I ordered the caesar salad, quinoa stuffed avocado, tzatziki, and brussels sprouts. I did ask for my quinoa stuffed avocado to be remade because it was literally covered in parsley (blegh) - just so much of it - but they were pretty good about it (a little irritated understandably, but brought me a new one without parsley). Like, I took a pic of the first one with a crap ton of parsley and the second one without parsley and it's a significant difference visually and in taste. The caesar salad might be one of my favorites in charlotte since they have the dressing on the side automatically and the baked chickpeas really add something yummy to the dish. The tzatziki was just delicious with their yummy homemade pita (will be ordering this literally every time I go there). And the brussels sprouts were just perfectly caramelized, and the taste of toasted almonds and lemon vinaigrette were just so perfect together. Service was mostly really fast and friendly. They made clear that everything is made-to-order, so you know what to expect in ordering your food. Really only with the parsley thing were they a little annoyed, but they still ended up bringing me a new one and it was delicious (a little light on quinoa admittedly). We also got to-go boxes for anything we were not able to finish. Will definitely be coming back for their delicious food - and next time I will remember the parsley situation! Def recommend stopping by for some yummy and fresh food :)

Yelp
This place is a great little spot to get some good bites and decently healthy/lighter food. I think it's best for a lunch spot. The Mac and cheese was delicious. The crusted cheese at the top of it really makes it. We both got the grain bowls which were yummy but a little over dressed. The service was a little slow but nothing too bad. I think this place is a good spot to try!

Yelp
Underwhelming... Kid Cashew has a lot of potential, and that's probably why I was so disappointed....well also the raw chicken they served me, but I'll get there. The location serves this restaurant very well on East blvd. They have a beautiful and open patio area, with ample seating. You can sit in the shaded areas, or take in all the sunlight on the outer portions. They have a decent lunch menu you can pair two menu items, I opted for the 1/4 chicken (white) and mac and cheese. The dish came out within about 15mins, the platting was excellent. The mac looks better than it taste, it has very little flavor. The textures are fine, it's got that melted cheese grit that I like. But the overall notes are very flat. If I closed my eyes and you asked me to describe what I was eating, I would say wet noodles. About that raw bird, I initially cut into the chicken and was pleasantly surprised. The outer crust was flavorful and crispy, and then I cut a little deeper to reveal uncooked poultry. I mentioned it to the server who eventually got a manager, who took the dish away and asked did I want anything else. I was grossed out, so I declined. I was still charged for the bloody bird, and had to retrieved the server to have it refunded off of my card. Overall I was very disappointed, I do feel like they have a great location and nice ambiance. They just need to tie it all together. Pro tip: Freedom Park is soooo close, you could even walk. So if you are out of town visiting, or just dropping in take the scenic route through the neighborhoods and enjoy!

Yelp
I had a takeout order from here and thought it was just ok I ordered the lamb gyro, but the meat seemed tough and like it wasn't the traditional spit-carved juicy lamb I was expecting.

Yelp
Came to kid cashew on a Saturday afternoon around 4. Had plenty of seating both inside and outside. Open kitchen laid back scenery. Food was quick to come out. Tried the chicken skewers 5/5 the sauces and juiciness and tenderness of the chicken was perfect! Sausage and beans were also delicious 5/5. Octopus was 3.5/5, we asked for another plate because the first was cold but they explained that they do lie the hot octopus on top cold quinoa which made sense once explained. The quinoa was very good. They also had really great cocktails. Def recommend.

Yelp
Kid Cashew just gained a new FAN!! My friends stumbled upon this place over on East Blvd and insisted I try it, let's just say.. I was not disappointed. The menu was all over the place but in the best way! There was everything from rotisserie chicken to flavorful salads, lamb, mac & cheese, sandwiches and more! Plus, our sever was so sweet and even joked around with us about the variety in their menu items! I grabbed the lamb gyro pita sandwich which came with fresh baked chips on the side. The meat was chewy and flavorful, veggies were delish but my favorite part was the taziki sauce throughout! Our table split a bottle of the Pinot Grigio wine once we found out it was half off bottles on Tuesdays! What a deal! Overall, such a great experience with great people! I can't wait to return for their lunch "pick two" combo deal to try even more of their menu items!
