Google
The pho was quite delicious, and the fried rice was okay---nothing special. I appreciated the freshness of the pho ingredients, and the portions were standard. Overall, I would order from here again.

Google
Food is great, service SUCKS! Arrogant cashier, servers sit down on the tables, never ask what you need. You ask for to go boxes and they point you to a cart to pick your own. If you’re done eating you have to stand up and pay at the cashier. Do they deserve a tip?

Google
Highest rated on search. This was a good bowl of pho! I ordered shrimp and crabmeat (imitation), which came out short on the former and long on the latter, of which I prefer more and less, respectively. In addition to the added dimension of the crab, the fattier broth brings it all together, the condiments add the personality. Still, a good bowl of pho, and if it's Nashville's best, I'm satisfied. 🙂

We were visiting Nashville, TN, and found a really good Vietnamese restaurant. Their food are very good and are true authentic Vietnamese dishes. I had the spicy lemongrass dish served with white rice. My wife had the bún riêu noodle soup (make sure to ask them to keep out the pig feet and blood cube if you are not very venturest). The sam bo luong desert was a very good drink and sweet treat. Kiên Giang Restaurant is a must visit if you ever come to Nashville!

This gem of a restaurant is tucked away in a little corner of the complex that K&S Market is located in. But if you ever consider venturing in, you'll be in for a pleasant surprise. It is nothing fancy and you won't get a chatty server but if you want a flavorful yet super affordable meal you will be glad you stopped by. There are many Pho restaurants in Nashville but no one can come close to their generous $7.95 Pho bowls! You can have an appetizer, entree and a Bubble Tea for $15 and that is kinda impossible to do anywhere in this day and age. I missed out on taking pics of the Pho dish but I got a pic of my extra bowl of just the Pho broth which is perfect for a rainy afternoon They have a standard Vietnamese menu but there are also Chef Specials and a page of Authentic dishes. I can't remember the Vietnamese names but the Stir Fry Beef with Vermicellie with a special house special sauce (No 8) which is $7.95 has become one of my favorite dishes here. 2 pcs of egg rolls with sauce is $2.50, and the plate of 6 pcs of Wontons for $4.50 came perfectly crispy with some dipping sauce too. This time, instead of the Pho, I decided to try the $11.95 Garlic Shrimp with rice and i was not disappointed! All the Bubble Teas are $3.50 with just fc$a small scoop of tapioca pearls and they even have a Herbal drink which is a full cup of all kinds of interesting things like beans, longans, seaweed etc served ice cold. My daughter's loves their Pho. COVID precautions: It was very empty during the time we were there. But we noticed mainly pick up orders so there wasn't much to be worried about since there was ample space. The staff were all masked and they do request you enter masked as well and at least till you finish ordering. PS - The only suggestions I'd offer them is to 1) offer the spicy chilli powder instead of just the Chilli oil and 2) fully cook the boba pearly or offer the Lychee jelly instead and 3) offer more non pork appetizers

Google
I have actually ordered food from here two separate times before writing my review. All the items were specified as vegan, and the menu seems to be very accomodating. Generally, the food is super fresh, and I loved all of it! The first time I ordered, I got the Veggie Spring rolls and Veggie Vermicelli. I love whatever the tofu mix was that came with the vermicelli noodles. The flavor is great, and the tofu bits are kind of crispy but chewy. The spring rolls were also great with the peanut (hoisin?) sauce. The second time I ordered, I got the Tofu Spring Rolls and Tofu Vegetable Stir Fry. I think I liked the tofu spring rolls better than the veggie spring rolls, but they were both great. I really enjoyed the texture of the stir fried tofu. I hope to order from here again, because the food is amazing! I'm surprised I hadn't eaten food from here before.

Kien Gieng Vietnamese Food offers a delightful dining experience with its friendly staff, pristine cleanliness, and outstanding menu. The staff's warmth creates a welcoming atmosphere, enhancing the overall dining experience. The restaurant's commitment to cleanliness is evident, ensuring a hygienic and comfortable environment for patrons. One standout feature is the excellent Boba tea, a delightful and refreshing beverage that adds a unique touch to the dining experience. The shrimp and pork spring rolls are a culinary highlight, showcasing a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The freshness of the ingredients is evident, enhancing the overall quality of the dish. The Pho steak and meatballs with noodles further demonstrate the restaurant's dedication to serving high-quality, fresh dishes. The combination of tender steak, flavorful meatballs, and well-prepared noodles results in a savory and satisfying meal. In conclusion, Kien Gieng Vietnamese Food provides an excellent dining experience marked by friendly service, cleanliness, and exceptional dishes. Whether you're a fan of Boba tea, spring rolls, or hearty noodle soups, this restaurant offers a diverse and delicious menu. With such a positive experience, it's no surprise that patrons would eagerly return to explore more of what Kien Gieng has to offer.

Google
Very enjoyable and definitely one of the better Nashvillian Vietnamese establishments. Their spring rolls are some of the best I’ve had served at a restaurant - very good. Seems like the PHO broths have good depth and flavor. Lots of fresh ingredients. Seating can be limited during really busy hours - service is consistent and steady.

Yelp
I've tried 5+ pho places in Nashville and keep coming back to this one! Staff is super nice every single time, pho is simple and delicious, the service is quick but not rushed, which i love! Summer rolls are tasty as well, and i liked the banh mi as well! highly recommend if you're looking for good easy pho in nashville
google avatar

Yelp
I haven't been to this restaurant for years and stopped in for take out. Take out was right on time and staff was nice. Ordered the pork Bahn Mi and it was delicious. Bread was good but surprised how much meat it had. It was really stuffed but delicious. Shrimp Spring Rolls were good and fresh. Good size as well! Only gripe was I wanted more of a peanut sauce, their sauce was different, much sweeter. Overall a good experience!

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. The pho is great quality and the portion size is perfect. The broth is light and flavorful and the ingredients they use taste amazing. I'd definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for some great pho or vermicelli. Service was super fast and friendly.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in Nashville for Vietnamese food. We haven't been here in years due to their customer service, but decided to come back and try it again since I missed their food. I'm glad we came back! Our server did a great job! He was very nice and polite. Kudos! Food is still good! I haven't had anything that I didn't like here. I've liked everything I've ever tried here. I really like how their tables have all of the condiments and sauces on it. At other places, I always have to ask for sauces that I need. The garnish came out on a big plate. That was nice to have. At some other places, sometimes you get only a little plate of basil and bean sprouts that you have to share and make it work between everyone. So I'm glad they gave us a good amount of garnish. Pho broth- still very yummy! I like the pho dac biet cause it comes with a little bit of everything. In all, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend them!

Yelp
Great staff and service! They are happy to help you navigate the menu and offer suggestions. The food is delicious and portion sizes are phenomenal. And the menu has a wide variety of options. The inside of the restaurant is spacious and calm and friendly.

Yelp
I ordered the spring rolls with shrimp and pork, fried wontons, and banh mi bo kho. The spring rolls could've used more shrimp. They were very shrimpy to say the least. Good flavors with the sauce tho. I had no complains about the fried wontons. The banh mi bo kho was solid but the bowl was tiny. I wasn't expecting such a small bowl. I was a still a little hungry after leaving and had to have a snack when I got home.

Yelp
I'm a regular. Probably the best pho I've had in town and definitely the best Bun Bo Hue. I eat Vietnamese all over the country and world as well. This place is definitely on par with Little Saigon/Argyle neighborhood in Chicago, LA, New Orleans, etc. The summer rice paper rolls are nice and full too. Great staff and super nice guys. Prices are just right.

Yelp
We love coming here. They have new management, they've done a really good job with making new updates inside. Average noise level, Nice music selection, clean and friendly atmosphere, and food comes out in a decent time. We love the #9 pork chop rice plate. Bbq banh mi And shrimp spring rolls See you next time!

Yelp
Currently one of my faves. This place is tucked away in a corner of a shopping plaza. Service was prompt and courteous and the food was delicious. I would say the pho could just just a pinch more of salt/flavor; however, once I put fish sauce in it, it was delicious. The coffee was way too thick for my liking but if you like strong coffee this might be for you. The rolls were perfectly crispy and delicious.

Ian R.

Yelp
I understand the restaurant changed owners/management recently/a while back. For years Kien Giang was always our go-to choice for pho/Viet. And ever since the new managers have taken over I feel like the food has always been consistently delicious and the front of house are friendly and efficient. We mostly order for pickup now, still our go-to to go after all these years. IYKNK, AIYD, F*AFO. YMMV. * Foodie

Yelp
I was craving vietnamese food, and the other places I typically go to were closed. Is I went here as it was highly rated on Yelp as well as Google reviews. I ordered the vermicelli with pork and egg rolls. I walked to pick up my order, and the restaurant was quite big and spacious. Also, my order was ready early. Great service! I went home to eat my food, and man, were the portions huge! The bowl was delicious with crunchy, meaty, soft, and all the umami flavors I was looking for. I'll definitely be back again with my husband. This hit the spot!

Yelp
Kiên Giang has been my weekly spot since the new owners took over the place. Cards are now accepted. We love family style meals (canh chua-sweet&sour soup, braised catfish and pork ribs clay pot). Don't forget to ask for their special desserts. They have the best Vietnamese desserts in town.

M W.

Yelp
One hour for two bowls of pho to arrive. Tasted so bad and the portion is small. I had to order take-out from another Vietnamese place close by while still waiting for my other dishes. Needless to say, I left no tip and will never be back again. This place is a disgrace to Vietnamese restaurants! Well, unless you have low to no standards for Asian food then this place will work just fine.

Yelp
I ordered 4 takeaways, but the attitude of the waiter was very bad. When I left, I asked the waiter for chopsticks. He replied that I had put them in. I didn't have any when I went to the hotel to open them. Please tell me how to eat. The noodles are all lumpy, which is very bad. an experience

Yelp
Eating here right now. The pho is spot on and it's much better than the other place here. And the ice coffee is spot on. Good job

Yelp
We stop in whenever we can and it never waivers in service or quality. We usually get two spring rolls each, split a sandwich and I get hot Vietnamese coffee while my wife likes the boba tea. They were out of the black tapioca (evidently everyone's favorite). She got mocha instead and liked it. I cannot put in words how good and positively authentic the various dishes are here. We have tried all the others yet still make the trek from Goodlettsville regularly. Good service, friendly staff and very clean premises. Two large screen tv's to let you watch while you dine. They now accept most credit cards as well.

Yelp
i come here often and the food never fails. The service is always amazing and the food is delicious. I definitely recommend coming here. I recommend the pho and the Bánh mì.

Yelp
Excellent pho and soups, fresh perfect spring rolls. I've tried some of their simmered curry, stir fry, and meatball dishes and they were all very tasty and relatively inexpensive. The rice and pork platter is a real winner as well, especially the pork skewered with lemongrass. The real star for me is their Cô Bò Lá Lốt, and it's one of my favorite dishes in town. I don't think that any of the other four Viet places nearby serve it. Very unique and fragrant grilled rolled leaf beef dish with vermicelli, herbs, and pickled veggie. Try it and you'll thank me later. Also, their Vietnamese specialty beverages never disappoint. My favorite is the salted lemonade. Overall, a great homey feeling cafe with delicious food, good prices, and good service.

Yelp
This place is cash only!! Good little spot for a quick, reasonably priced Vietnamese dish. The dining area is basic but clean and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. We got a Thai iced tea and fresh rolls with pork to start. Thai tea was good - it wasn't too sweet which we enjoyed. The fresh rolls were ok - they had a nice sauce that came with them but didn't have a great amount of flavor. I ordered Bun with pork and an egg roll for my entree. Overall, the dish was pretty solid. It came with a good portion of pork and I really enjoyed the large amount of fresh veggies on the dish. This place gets a three star because I thought it was good, but I have been to better Vietnamese places. That being said, I would consider coming back here in the future to have another meal.

Yelp
My sister and I have been eating our way through West Nashville and this is one of the best places there is. You'd really have to be looking for it to find it because you can't see the signage for the shopping center from the main road. But once you turn into the parking lot for the shopping center, the restaurant is in your left. We've eaten at the other restaurants in the area and this one is my favorite. The service is fast, the ingredients are fresh, the place is clean and everyone is really friendly. You've got to try their Bun Bowls and Pho. 10/10!
google avatar

Yelp
Have you ever had a spring roll before that made your heart sweat out hate? No? Ever had a pho so killer it was like a salt and spice dream? No? Ever had blood? No? All this and more you can accomplish at this stellar spot.
google avatar

Tony N.

Yelp
Very please with their food Their canh chua , ca kho to , and pork ribs are recommended!!!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Been coming here since moving here from NYC. Honest opinion, the most authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Nashville. All the other spots around town are either way over priced or just plain awful! Trust me, this place is the real deal!
google avatar

David F.

Yelp
This is a relatively nice little place in a large strip mall with great ease of parking. The restaurant is nice and clean, bright and comfortable. Add to that a thorough cleaning as each table leaves and the whole picture is looking good. The toilets could have been cleaner, but given the numbers of people who stopped to eat, it may have been a momentary aberration. We ordered spring rolls, which were excellent, followed by a Vietnamese pancake which was light, crispy and was served with a fresh salad; and a noodle, vegetable and tofu stirfry. It was all excellent and at just $30, it was fine. It's in the same complex as Miss Saigon which is nice also, but of a sufficiently different style as to require two separate night's out. Kien Giang is a good place to eat, I recommend it.
google avatar

Karin B.

Yelp
This is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Nashville! Delicious fresh food at really reasonable prices! My favorites, are the vermicelli or the barbecue pork bánh mì sandwich. But I haven't found anything I didn't like on the menu yet!

Donald M.

Yelp
Nice staff and delicious food. Wish the pho portion was larger but I like the broth. All of the grilled pork dishes are a large portion of meat and juicy, not tough and dry like other places.
google avatar

Yay R.

Yelp
This place managed to make something salty and flavorless at the same time. Bought two large #5 pho bowls, and hugely disappointed not only was it flavorless, but also had hardly any meat, and it was the most expensive bowl of pho i've ever bought. $13 is way too much and i'm from California. Very disappointed, and the quest for the best pho in Nashville continues.
google avatar

Anne N.

Yelp
Better food with way better customer service since the new owner took over! I've only been here twice and the waiter remember exactly what I ordered last time. Impressive! Their sweet and sour soup and caramelized pork spare ribs are to die for. They taste liKe home cooked meal and pair well together. All iN all I love my new experience at this place. Bonus point: they have different special dishes every Sunday.

D K.

Yelp
Everything has improved since the change in ownership. This has become one of the best Vietnamese spots in town.
google avatar

Loth S.

Yelp
I ordered combination pho with a glass of water. Well, never received my water for awhile until I had asked for it again and never received refill. It is okay, if you don't care about your customer-I shouldn't be here from the get go! Hold my thirst went to K & S Market for drinks, instead. Seems, y'all cared about taking order ran off never return to table.

Yelp
I know some will go into Kien Giang and think "why 5 stars?" The place is small, rather plain and cash only. What is the draw? To be honest, it is the food. Not the best Vietnamese food in the nation (I can name some places in Oklahoma City, Sandusky, and the Austin area that are better), but I think it is the best in Nashville. VN Pho down the hill is also good and takes cards, but I find this more pleasing. My norm going in is getting a bahn mi and Pho or Pho and springs rolls to dip. The attention to the broth is what makes Pho shine and this is very nicely done. A nice beef stock with a hint of fresh garlic and some star anise (the star anise is the trick if you want to do this at home). The bahn mi is also lovely. Proper crunchy French bread with meat and house pickled vegetacles. And the spring rolls are fried to a very nice crunch and go great dipped in pho broth. The dining room, as I mentioned, is very plain. Basic table arranged more like a cheap cafeteria. Service is always good. Cash only, so be prepared. I know that is a sticking point for some. But the prices are very reasonable. Top knotch Vietnamese staples.

Yelp
This was my first visit to Kien Giang. I was pleasantly surprised at how homey it felt. While the decor was rather spare, the place felt comforting and welcoming. There was modern Vietnamese pop/dance music playing, and it set the tone for the late afternoon lunch I came in for. I ordered a couple of what are quite possibly the most delicious shrimp spring rolls I've ever tasted. The shrimp was fresh, as were the veggies inside. The mint added a very refreshing brightness. The peanut dipping sauce was on point. I had some Thai tea which was a great choice to help cut the heat of the main dish. My entree was the spicy stir-fried ginger chicken. It was fabulous, with two snaps up and a twist! There was just enough spicy heat without being overpowering. It was accompanied by some steamed rice, and slices of tomato and cucumber. The portion size was HUGE! You really get your money's worth at Kien Giang! I'll be back because there are other menu items I want to explore, including the spicy stir-fried lemongrass chicken, and the meatballs. If you're looking for a reasonably priced exotic meal with large portions, check out Kien Giang. You can thank me later.

Yelp
I used to come here frequently with my family but then stopped for a while as we resulted to another Vietnamese restaurant. Came here recently because that restaurant was closed and sad to say we should have just went somewhere else. Food did not taste fresh. The best dish we got was probably the Banh Xeo but my sister got the Vermicelli noodle and was completely disappointed. First, the noodles were warm and soggy. Normally this is a cold noodle dish with fresh vegetables but with the noodles being warm it just made the whole dish all soggy and gross. Second, the combo dish didn't have fresh vegetables and had over cooked sides which was a disappointment.

Natalie W.

Yelp
Super happy to have found an authentic Vietnamese place in the area. Tried the meatball pho, the egg roll and pork vermicelli, and the lemongrass chicken entrees. No frills, no Asian-fusion-hype, just good, wholesome food. Great find!

Yelp
i've been coming here since i was in a high chair and not only is it my favorite vietnamese food in town; it has the best staff. the sweetest people run this place and have poured their heart and soul into the space! ive been recommending this through word of mouth for decades, so i figured i'd put it in writing as well :)

Yelp
My to go to Vietnamese restaurant. The food is good and the price is right!!! So far everything I tried is good . Veggies are bright and fresh !!! Good portion.
google avatar

Samantha C.

Yelp
This is a out of the way spot. This was shown to me by a friend that always turns me onto great food places in Nashville. I had tofu lemongrass one person had the veggie egg roll, one had chicken lemongrass and the other had spring roll shrimp with chicken lemongrass. Everyone liked their food and we agreed that this is someplace to come again. Very inviting and they do offer hand sanitizer and spacing inside to comply with COVID rules. I for one cannot wait to go back!!!

DN K.

Yelp
Best Vietnamese restaurant in Nashville since as long as I can remember. Best pho in Nashville IMHO. Rich but not overwhelming broth, with an endearing taste that makes you crave to return for another bowl.
google avatar

Ngài N.

Yelp
My first time in Nashville, Tennessee, and I don't really eat Vietnamese food. I basically just taste the Vietnamese food if I have to. However, I will give this restaurant more than 5 stars if I can. I ordered 3 different dishes, and none of them were under 90 points (based on my opinion). Believing or not, we finish all 3 dishes in only 20 minutes. It has never happened before. I absolutely come back to Nashville and visit Kien Giang.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing chicken pho. I ordered online and it was ready when I got there. 10/10 recommend
google avatar

Julia N.

Yelp
CASH ONLY!! This place is AMAZING, price-wise plus flavors - it is unmatched in Nashville. Culturally, customer service is different at Asian restaurants. Get over it, white ppl! Vibrant fresh vegetables, crisp pickled radish, perfect noodles, different heat preferences available on the table! I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT. It's divey and not easy to find but worth the trek. Please do yourself a favor and try the charbroiled Bún!
google avatar

Karri S.

Yelp
Update: my new favorite thing to get is their veggie pancake. It's light and crispy and they serve it with ample lettuce and mint. It's served with a delightful light sauce for dipping. Explore the menu a little and don't expect a great bahn mi. The service is always prompt but not necessarily friendly. The hot tea is good. Don't forget to bring cash. The don't do plastic. If you want a casual Vietnamese meal that won't break the back, come here.
google avatar

Harold L.

Yelp
Great Bahn Mi and Bun. I shop next door at K&S for our restaurant and love picking up food here.
google avatar

Francois Paul T.

Yelp
This is my second or third time going to Kien Giang. By far the best hole in the wall vietnamese restaurant. The first thing you should understand is this is not a fine dining experience, its a hole in the wall with cheap tables and wall. CASH ONLY. I ordered the pho, and vietnamese iced coffee. Unlike alot of places that use pre made powder, they drip coffee into condensed milk and then let you poor it over ice just like in vietnam. The pho is delicious, broth is rich and flavorful, and pork shanks and cartilage is well cooked and tender. Honestly will keep going back, and will continue to list as the highest ranked hole in the wall in nashville.

Rose Hong F.

Yelp
This restaurant is not worth to eat. Food is very plain. Service is terrible. The owner, Oh lady at the cash register showed no respect. When I pay at the register I realized CASH ONLY! So I pull out my $100 bill emergency and hand it to her. She's just threw my hundred bill on the counter. And give my change back. She just laid it on the counter not even hand back to me. I eat out a lot even I know it's a casual restaurant. But the owner shows no respect to the customer is not acceptable. There are lot of Asian restaurants in this area. VN pho deli across the street much better taste, great service & clean.
google avatar

Tom J.

Yelp
The seafood pho soup was oily/greasy. Probably the worst seafood pho I have tasted.
google avatar

Cindy T.

Yelp
Sketchy parking lot with no defined spaces. Check! Horrible service. Check! Great food! Check! Reminds me of Vietnam! This place is definitely no frills, but the food is good and so cheap! Coming from a large Vietnamese community in Atlanta, I was shocked at how affordable this place was. Way cheaper than any place in Atlanta! I've tried everything from rice to noodles to the Vietnamese crepes and everything has been delicious. What they skimped in decor and service, they make up for in food, which is perfectly fine with me. My favorite so far has been the Vietnamese crepes. Most places tend to skimp on the filling or they aren't crispy enough but these were just perfect. And the portion is HUGE so very shareable. They also bring out all the appropriate lettuce and herbs for you to make your own lettuce wraps with. It's food and fun! They also have a variety of che (Vietnamese drink desserts) and boba/bubble tea for sale. So come here with low expectations of getting your water refilled or anyone checking in on you during your meal and be prepared to enjoy a good authentic Vietnamese meal that's friendly to your wallet. WARNING: CASH ONLY!

Nicholas F.

Yelp
Lovely little spot came in for some pho and was not disappointed. Everything was great about my experience from the greeting at the door to the awesome service. The pho was truly a gem for dining. The meats were succulent; the noodles were luscious; and the broth was to die for. All around 11/10 will come again.

Yelp
Under new ownership. Prices gone up $$$. Pho cut of ingredients. Food doesn't taste the same and it took us an hour to get our food. We were so disappointed, they do take credit cards now . I really liked this place guess time to find another.
