Kiepersol - The Grand Room, Winery, Distillery Tasting Room & Vineyard

Yesterday ( 2.21.26 ) my wife and I visited the Kiepersol Winery and Distillery primarily to track down Jimmys Bourbon since we both love bourbon. When we walked in to check in for the Tour and Tasting, ordered a drink and started just browsing around and killing time before the Tour. Within minutes we met the Owner and Master Distiller. We were talked to like old friends and welcomed like family. The tour not only covered the Winery and Distillery, but it went in depth about the family and their heritage. On the Tasting side of the Tour we tried serval wines, Red, White, Sweet and Dry. Every one was amazing and delicious, We sampled Pierres Rum and very tasty, Yes I bought a bottle! Ok now my favorite part… The Bourbon!!! We sampled the Jimmys 8yr Cast Strength at 128.5 Proof… Bought the Bottle and had their team sign it, we sampled the Jimmys 4 yr 90 proof ( What I went their for to start with) Bought a Bottle and we also bought a bottle of the Jimmys Blended 4 yr 94 proof, normally not a fan of blended but it was very tasty, I also got a barrel thief sample but Hus-Hus….I have been on many Tours of Winery’s and Distillery’s in KY, SC, TX and CA, I can honestly say the family at Kiepersol takes pride in making some of the best wines and sprits I have ever tasted and enjoyed. And to answer the question about Best Bourbon in Texas, I have 12 different Texas Distilleries on my shelf and In my opinion , Jimmys Bourbon is the best Texas Bourbon we have every enjoyed to this point and to be honest and being a Kentucky Native, I would stack Jimmys up to a few of the big boys in Kentucky!! We will be back again!!

Wonderful experience at the winery. Beautiful setting. Christmas lights going up. Had a tasting, good conversation. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Worth a stop for sure

Mix and match wine/spirits tasting for 20$. Kevin was respectful and accommodating. Excellent peaceful place to relax and unwind. Barrel no 33 was by far the best of the tasting: velvety, fruit on the nose, smooth, and delicious. Jimmys 10year is the oldest bourbon in Texas, 128.1 proof, and rich in color. Flavor was complex, warm, and rich. Definitely would return. Indoor and outdoor seating. The Italian sandwich with pesto, with salami, pepperoni and cheese was 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 not to mention perfectly crisp.

We went on a girls night out and had such a great time. This place is so beautiful. The staff was so sweet and so helpful on helping us pick the perfect drinks, and they were incredible. The atmosphere was amazing, we sat outside and it was perfect, but they do have a beautiful inside area. We ordered a light snack, but they do offer food. We were dressed very casual and so were most people, but it is a place where you could dress up. I would highly recommend this place.

Very laid back atmosphere and great service. Quite the selection of cocktails. The Old Cuban was surprisingly delicious, but the brandy, served neat, missed the mark for me.

We drove nearly two and a half hours to visit Kiepersol because we’d heard such lovely things about it and had enjoyed the wine we tried previously. What a massive disappointment. The setting, tucked in a residential area, is charming and the weather was glorious. We ordered two tasting flights and a large cheese board upon arrival. Our flights were ready for us in about ten or so minutes and were delightful overall. We particularly enjoyed the Syrah and Merlot. After 30 minutes waiting on our cheeseboard, I went inside to check. Our ticket was indeed lost and I was informed that it would be made immediately. I went back to our table to wait. After another twenty-ish minutes, still no cheeseboard. This time, my husband went in to check. After an hour of waiting, we had our food, and it was not worth the $31 they charge for it. There was not an attempt to rectify the situation. It was so disappointing. We finished our meal and flights and bought two bottles to take home. I don’t know that I would make the drive again or recommend this winery to others. If you plan a visit to Kiepersol, I hope your experience is better than ours.

One of the most beautiful wineries I have had the pleasure of visiting. Service is superb and the quality of food is through the roof. My mother and I enjoyed a lovely lunch with the perfect portions. When in Tyler, this place is a must-see!!

This place was a really great the atmosphere works great, our bar host was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions and above all the wine was delicious. We definitely look forward to coming back
