"Kigawa is named after Michihiro Kigawa, the chef at this refreshingly simple restaurant. Buoyed by his experience in a French restaurant in Osaka, he now finds himself in Paris, delighting guests with classic French dishes such as pâté en croûte and roast pigeon." - Michelin Inspector

This was the most incredible experience we had in paris. The food was unbelievable. The way the chef gets different flavors to come together in a tango line on your taste buds in a single bite... is worth every penny. Seats a very few number of patrons a night, making it an exclusive experience as well. Pricey... 300 euro for 2, the menu with the cheapest wine pairing option. However, this was the anniversary dinner we were hoping to have. Thank you, kigawa staff, for such a memorable evening.

We had our Christmas meal here and it was fantastic. Wonderful atmosphere and service, and the food…wow. Everything tasted wonderful and looked beautiful. The perfect meal does exist.

The restaurant offers A six course tasting menu. Its service is very slow. We have to ask the server to refill our glasses of water and wine and side bread which for a Michelin listed restaurant (no star yet) is a shame. The explanation of the served dishes were hasty, incomprehensible, and with low voice. One hour and half we just served with our first course. We got really frustrated. The dish presentations were mediocre but the tastes were fine. The desserts were a total disappointment. We just had a bite.

I found the device very slow. It is not normal that your first appetizer arrives after more than one hour for a predefined tasting menu and that your two deserts arrives with five minutes interval at the end during 3 hours of service. I had to ask to be served with water, wine or side bread. I felt ignored by the servers while they were very accommodating to the other tables. The explanation for plates was not audible and not clear. The food was tasty but the lack of a proper service left me a bitter taste at the end. At the price point I expect more.

Very delicious food, But the place is small, so there are just 1 service staff, which is a pity. The set wine only one glass is very good. But the food is delicious. One of a friend who is vegetarian came suddenly, and the chef also perfectly matched the food.

A pleasant surprise. Went there to celebrate my wife's birthday. Tasty ingredients and food arrangements. Had the tasting menu for €69 each and also got the wine pairing for one for €39 which I heartily recommend. Great wines that really complemented the food well.

it was fine but didn’t awe me in any way. maybe ive been to too many Michelins in such short duration— i didn’t find this place special. i liked the shrimp tempura though— it was very well-cooked. it was overall decent however.

A small restaurant in the 14th arrondissement. Both the food and service were excellent. The dishes are classic french cuisine with plates such as guinea fowl, pigeon, beef entrecote. If you want the warm dessert - souffle, pay attention to place your order right at the start. A very pleasant restaurant experience. Recommended.

Yelp
Best meal I had in Paris. Kigawa is a Michelin guided restaurant located in the 14th ARR. I was told the owners are Japanese hence the name Kigawa but don't be fool by the name! Kigawa serves up superb French cuisine. This resto is really small so you need to book well in advance. My husband got their 3 courses set menu for €47 while I got an entree for €33. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. I don't think I've ever had monkfish before but it was so tender that it actually tasted like lobster meat. It was quite flavourful on its own but even better with the mashed eggplant served on the side. My husband's pigeon was cooked perfectly, medium rare with a side of mashed potato. Our raspberry pistachio cake was not too sweet, perfect with a scoop of vanilla gelato. The service was fantastic, very attentive and efficient. If I had another meal in Paris, it would be here.

Yelp
This is our second visit to this restaurant of 24 and it was full on a Wednesday evening, reservations are essential. The restaurant does not offer an a la crate menu but you would not want to miss any of the courses which has several choices. Their foie  gras is different and delicious...not to be missed. The presentation is gorgeous. The restaurant was most accommodating in dealing with dietary restrictions and unlike some restaurants where the substituted course might not be as good as the menu course...this is not the case at this restaurant. The soufflé for dessert was excellent and so were all of the little extras. The only disappointment may have been the lamb which was suggested after initially being told that it was sold out. The lamb was fatty. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Most dishes are very good, e.g. the excellent sweetbread of the various fish concoctions (lotte or st pierre). The pork iberica was a bit too dry. Outstanding value at lunch. Friendly staff, whose great charm compensates for occasional awkwardness.

Yelp
French cuisine by a Japanese chef, this restaurant is a GEM hiding in the 14th arrondissement! Delicately presented dishes with mouthwatering tastes left us thinking about this dinner even weeks after. The service abides by Japanese standards and is simply outstanding - polite and extremely attentive. Perfect for romantic dates. Price/Quality: Can I give it a 6 stars?? The beef tongue!!! Perfectly cooked and melted immediately in mouth. every dish was perfectly arranged and decorated, and tasted even better. the desserts were very innovative yet surprisingly hit the sweet spot. 4 courses for 47 euros, and we would have gladly paid more. Service: Can I give it a 6 stars?? I have never seen such attentive and careful service in my life. Upon entering, we were greeted welcomely and asked if we would like to hand them our coats. At the table, the waitress brought the dishes over so carefully that my boyfriend thought she was carrying a dish of food when she brought over just a bread basket. When my napkin fell to the floor, the waitress immediately replaced it without even asking. This really made our evening feel special. Ambiance: 5 stars The place is very quiet and classy. Expect to speak softly in a cozy and intimate setting. MUST TRY!

Yelp
Le Kigawa was amazing. Its a tiny restaurant in the 14th, about a 5-10 minute walk from the Metro. The restaurant is very small but "cute." The staff speaks little english but they have a rough translation menu and they help out. The prices are great - le menu is 35 or 47 euros, depending on what you get. Our first course was an amuse bouche of some type of pate. It was amazing! Warm with a great texture, rich and velvety. A fantastic start - I could have eaten a whole tub of it. For our entrees (appetizers), my wife and I shared a creamy artichoke soup with foie gras and marinated mackerel. These were the two best dishes we had during our whole stay in Paris. The artichoke soup was so creamy yet not heavy, with a perfect topping of foie gras to make it luxurious. The marinated mackerel was beautiful to look at and even better to eat. It tasted like fish without the fishy taste. Delicate and delicious. Our plats (mains) were the cochon and the duck. The duck was cooked perfectly. The cochon was maybe just a touch too much done, but I am being picky. Both were great dishes done very well, but they weren't going to top the entrees. For dessert, we had a pudding soup concoction which was very tasty and an amazing soufflé. The soufflé was perfect, with great chocolate inside. A beautiful dessert. After dinner, the chef came out to ask us how our meal was, a nice touch. Overall, this was an amazing dinner and a restaurant I recommend. Just leave the safety of central Paris and take the short trip down here!
