Where to Eat and Drink Around Merrifield and Dunn Loring | Eater DC

"This local Thai place, which is also in Rockville, has all of the classics, some solid lunch specials, and some dramatically named specials (think Shrine to the Trident Throne for a crispy catfish offering)." - Missy Frederick

We love to watch The Signature Dish on the local PBS station and recently saw Kiin Imm Thai featured, so we gathered some friends and gave them a try for lunch on a weekday. The menu is quite large, with many stir fry, noodle, and even curry options as well as nearly every type of protein for each. The venue is nicely decorated and welcoming. Staff was friendly and helpful. They were moderately busy the day we went, but we didn’t wait or have any slowness/delays. Ovreall, the food was good, not the best we’ve had, but good. The two best dishes we got were the chop chop basil chicken and the basil fried rice. Those two had the best heat and most flavor. The flavor of the massaman curry was good, but the beef was way too tough. The fish cakes were pliable and rubbery and didn’t taste fresh at all. Overall… It was decent. Hopefully they aren’t getting “too popular” from the TV attention and changing their style sand quality.

Unpleasant curry. I ordered the yellow curry and Thai tea for takeout. First, the curry container is only half filled. 80% of that volume was just potatoes. There were two tiny pieces of tomato and very little onion. Basically a potato soup with not a lot of soup. The chicken was on bones, broken on half, with the skin, introducing tiny bones throughout the curry, making this an overall unpleasant eating experience. Not worth the $20. Honestly this was not even enough food for myself, and I can usually get 3 servings out of curry ordered from other restaurants. Very disappointing, considering the flavor was good. There was simply not enough food and a poor balance and choice of ingredients. The thai tea was overly sweet, but otherwise fine.

Stopped in for a quick lunch while running errands. Lovely atmosphere, delicious food. Definitely returning to explore the menu more. Pictured: Wonton Soup and Green Tea Lemonade

I really wanted to enjoy our meal, but unfortunately we had a few disappointing issues. I placed the order through Uber Eats, and when it arrived, my noodles had a hair in them, which was an immediate turn-off. My husband ordered the chicken fried rice, and it was way too wet — more like steamed rice than fried. He always orders that dish at different Asian restaurants, so we know how it should taste, and this one really missed the mark. As for dessert, I got the mango sticky rice, which is one of my favorite treats. The mango was fresh and delicious, but the rice was dry and undercooked — not the soft, sticky texture it’s supposed to have. We were really looking forward to this meal, but sadly it didn’t live up to our expectations.

Google
Best Thai restaurant in the area! Great food for great value! Pad Thai was 14 dollars for a HUGE plate! Absolutely delicious with perfect amount of sauce! The panang curry was also delicious! We also had the duck rolls which were also full of flavor and very juicy! My go to Thai place! Love it

Google
One of my go-tos for Thai food in the area! The staff is helpful and friendly, I originally found out about them from a food delivery app but nothing beats eating the food while it’s hot. There’s plenty of seating and parking is easy. I highly recommend Kiin Imm!

Innovative Thai offerings featuring street foods and soups. Cozy, bright, and welcoming space may be a challenge for large parties. Friendly service with a smile. Free parking available nearby.

Google
I ordered Crispy Pork Belly with Panang Curry. The curry is good. Some part of white rice is mushy like mashed potato. But what make its not very enjoying is the crispy pork. It’s too hard, actually very hard to chew, and dry.

Yelp
I absolutely love this Thai spot in Dunn Loring, a couple of lights away from Mosaic District. I came on a Friday evening and found that there was no wait to be seated. The interior was decorated for Valentines and the booth was so cozy and intimate. I ordered a shrimp pad Thai and a beef drunken noodle spice level 3 to go! That spice had a good kick and the beef was so tender! The pad Thai was sooo good, exactly what you'd expect from a thai spot, so authentic! My friend ordered vegetarian fried rice. I love their fried rice, but her vegetables came quite large on her plate. I think I would prefer the veggies to be smaller but it wasn't my dish. Service was good, and I got a 15% off discount for my next visit, which will be soon!

Yelp
Food was consistent, all the dishes we ordered were very good. Free parking is essentially non-existent in compact Dunn Loring, but since we came on the weekend, we were able to park in the nearby Metro garage for free. When we arrived around 2:30pm on a Saturday, there was just one other table occupied. The ambience was very comfortable, with pop music being played. We liked that we were given the option to sit anywhere we liked and that we were promptly seated with silverware, chopsticks, napkins and a hefty carafe of water. We were off to a great start! The Crying Tiger beef was excellent. Kiin Imm hit the nail on the head with the seasoning. Perfect! The tom yum soup was delicious and spicy. The tofu sticks were good, though a tad more salt on them would have been great. The dipping sauce that came with the tofu was fabulous, and JP kept stealing it for his dishes. The veggie spring rolls were nice, and I especially liked their tender flaky wrappers. I enjoyed the Kanom Jeeb, which rested atop a sweet soy sauce on the serving plate. They look somewhat like shumai. The Kanom Jeeb stuffing was delicious. This was my favorite dish of the day. The only oops during our meal was they forgot to bring me my black tea. Writing the orders down might help. But that situation was remedied. The black tea, accompanied by cream in a little cup was excellent. We do wish they had paper menus, but you have to see the menu through your phone. Nostalgia for the Covid days I guess.

Yelp
Came here for a brief Friday night dinner and I'm very glad we picked this place! We ordered papaya salad, Kua Gai noodles and basil eggplant. All have tasty authentic flavor and very good portions. The Kua Gai noodles are my favorite, it's a stir fried wide noodle with a very unique seafood flavor, since there's squid in it, tastes different than the drunken noodle. Will get this next time!! Service is very friendly and efficient.

Yelp
I came here for the first time a few nights ago to meet with a friend for dinner. It was both our first time and we were excited to try a place we both haven't been before. The restaurant is conveniently located right next to the Dun Loring metro station. We went during the weekend so the parking was free in the garage adjacent to the building. So if you go during the weekdays; just FYI the metro parking situation may be different. The interior was cute and it felt extra cozy in there with the dim lighting and smaller space. We were greeted immediately upon entering the restaurant and the staff were super friendly. We ordered an assortment of appetizers and entrees to share a la family style. 1. Curry puff- was just the right size and crispy on the out and packed with curry flavors. 2. Crispy duck roll- this was sooo good. It reminded me of Peking Duck. Has similar flavors and ingredients. 3. Chicken pad Thai- Not dry, consistency of noodles was just right and nicely seasoned. 4. Crunchy Crab Castle- 3 deep fried soft-shell crabs was the HIGHLIGHT of this meal! The crab was sooo good... crispy and what blew me away was the fried garlic toppings. It added so much flavor to an already amazing dish. 5. The Deep Sea- whole deep fried Branzino fish and 6 deep fried shrimp. This was another delicious entree. The fish was crispy on the outside yet still juicy on the inside. This is fried fish done right! I can't wait to come back to try the other dishes!

Yelp
We tried this restaurant again for lunch before a movie. Ironically it was the same day the restaurant commented on my original review. This time I had Penang Chicken which was very good. It was a weekday so we received a few dumplings as part of the lunch special. They were also pretty good.

Yelp
While the food is good. They label their menu for allergies, and mark the containers... I don't think they are well trained on actual gluten allergies. I am not that sensitive, usually okay with some cross contamination. But got extremely sick after eating here. If you look at the "Find Me Gluten Free" app, they have a 50/50 score of being careful. So I assume only some of the staff might be well educated. So I recommend avoiding this place if you're gluten sensitive.

Yelp
Take out My friend ordered dinner from this restaurant through Uber Eats. Food: I had the Tom Yum soup 3/5 spice level with shrimp. It was the perfect spice level for me. The balance of sweet, sour and spicy was divine. Probably one of the best tom yum soup I've had. I also was pretty basic and got the chicken pad Thai. This was good and again it was 3/5 level spice. I would definitely order here again. The soup was the star!!!

Yelp
Came here for the first time with friends a couple weeks ago! Cute and clean interior, and everyone we encountered was very nice! Pretty classic menu for a Thai restaurant and we all found something we wanted to try. Prices are reasonable as well and everything tasted good! Honestly no complaints! Parking was easy in the garage nearby.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with a few friends. The staff was super quick to get us seated and the service in general was super speedy despite being fairly busy. I got panang curry with tofu and we shared a plate of some fried green beans. The panang curry was really good, not too sweet nor spicy. The fried beans were surprisingly good as well, the seasoning or sauce on them made them really flavorful. The prices are super reasonable as well for the amount of food we got. The restaurant itself is not too big, but definitely does not feel cramped by any means. A very cozy place overall. Would definitely come back if craving thai in the area again.

Yelp
We LOVE this place! Can't say enough about the food! Everything we've ever had was delicious and freshly made. We've gotten carry out SO many times. And we've eaten there as well. Very nice presentation, nice atmosphere, great service. Best in the area in my opinion!

Yelp
Came here for lunch over the weekend and had a very relaxing time. Food was great, space was quiet, and service was very quick and attentive. I ordered a monthly special, fire a$$ noodle soup, 3/5 on spice, and it was just what I needed on a cold rainy day. They were easily able to swap the wheat noodles for rice noodles. My protein order came out wrong, but my server was very apologetic and offered to correct it. I stuck with the chicken and it was tasty. Also the Thai tea/coffee are amazing! Would definitely recommend you trying this spot!

Yelp
Kiin Imm Thai has been on frequent takeout rotation for the past few years in our house because they are open late, deliver REALLY, REALLY fast, and consistent in quality. We finally decided to stop in for a proper sit down meal and was not disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful and located so conveniently next to the Dunn Loring Metro. Our server was very kind and helpful -- he mentioned that even though he lives in DC, he works here because bc this is the only place that allows him to get fed like he is back home in Thailand. I take that as a solid recommendation. We went with the fried pork and sticky rice as an appetizer, boat noodle soup, and whole fried branzino. Our food came out lightning fast and immediately brought my husband and I immediately back to our honeymoon in Thailand. Everything was so well flavored, beautifully presented, and perfectly cooked. Our kids (who I usually mention first in reviews but are background characters in this review) were super quiet because they were HOUSING the pad see ew and fried rice. My eldest is super, super, super picky which makes eating out not very fun but she loved her meal which means we are definitely coming back soon! I should mention that for this entire feast we were just shy of $100, a true win in this economy.

Yelp
I'm in VA and had a taste for Thai foods so I gave it a try. I had a Lychee Soda, Veggie Potstickers and the Yellow Chick Curry. The service was awesome! She checked on me multiple times. I also was greater and brought water right away. The Potstickers were different not bad but not my favorite. The Yellow Chicken Curry was different as well, tomatoes are put in the curry and the chicken had bones in them, although I believe this is normal for VA. It was delicious just not what I was used to. It's a cool spot with a great vibe! Relaxing music is playing. Give it a try!

Yelp
First off, there is free parking here but it is hard to find. It is around the corner next to a taco type place. unfortunately, if you don't know like my friend, you end up paying a lot to park in the metro parking lot. Service was good, drinks were great, and the food delicious. Atmosphere clean and quiet. Would come here again but definitely research the parking beforehand.

Yelp
Took the family here last week and everybody loved it! The food was authentically Thai and absolutely delicious. The menu is worth exploring--the dishes looked just like the photos and tasted amazing. We enjoyed the Pumpkin Curry, Khao Soi Chiang Mai Noodles (amazing!), and Ka Prow. So good!

Yelp
Man, I've had a decent amount of different Thai food in the area but Kiin Imm might be top of the list. Came here with a group of 4 for dinner on a friends recommendation and it did not disappoint. Situated in a small shopping strip near Dunn Loring metro stop sits this unassuming Thai spot. The interior is cutely decorated and the service is fast and friendly like what you would expect from a spot like this. The food though is second to none. We had a variety of dishes and everything was flavorful and filling. The drunken noodle was a classic. Good noodle texture and proportion of ingredients that left you wanting more. The eggplant was cooked to perfection and mixed perfectly with rice. A bit of spice and a lot of flavor. The dancing pork belly was crispy and and the Chinese broccoli had a satisfying crunch. Finally the best dish of the night was the chiang mai khao soi noodle. The broth was so full of umami and the crunchy noodles mixed in perfectly. The chicken thigh was ripe with flavor and the squeezing in the lime gave it just the kick it didn't even need. Overall was a great dining experience and will definitely be back.

Yelp
Very friendly service! We had the papaya salad and curry puffs as starters. The curry puffs came out steaming and the sauce it came with paired Greta with them. The papaya salad was tangy and refreshing. I would get it again for sure. The Khao Soi ( Chiang Mai Noodles) was a star and I'd rate it 9.5/10. This dish was so comforting and flavorful! I got the boat noodle soup as well which was good but I was hoping for the flavors to be a bit more complex. The service was quick and friendly. The ambiance is relaxing and cozy. Overall I would definitely come again.

Yelp
One of the best Thai food I've ever had IMO, Good portions as well. I've ordered from kiin imm about 10 to 15 times within this year. I always get 2 orders of their pork satay skewers coz it's bomb! It's tender and a perfect mixture of sweet and savory and it comes with sticky rice. My bf and I had their pad Thai, drunken noodles, basil fried rice, pad see ew, chop chop basil and mango salad. They also had this seasonal dish called super rock pork bone soup during the winter. The staff are super friendly and attentive. Super cute and chill ambience. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Yelp
Love the mellow music upon entry. Clean and open dining set up. QR codes for menus. Fast and frui service. Good still to come. I ordered the Mango Chow chow. Hubby the shrimp and chicken fried rice. My salad was fresh, crisp and the dressing lime was fresh and delicious.

Yelp
We dined in on a random weekday for lunch and had a great experience! Service: We loved that you can look at the menu using a QR code - the waitstaff still come to the table to take your order and answer questions. Value: We got two lunch specials and a drink for around $35 after tax - we had a lot of leftovers (enough for 1 more meal for 1 person) so it was a great value. The lunch deals work like this - you get to pick an app (tom yum soup or dumplings) and then you choose any item on the menu (with a few exceptions). You also have the option of choosing a drink at a discounted price. We got a Thai iced coffee for $2.50 I think. So basically you pay the price of the dish but get an app and a discounted price on the drink. We got a seafood noodle and fried rice and both were delicious and huge! Ambience: the interior is really pretty and decorations were up for Valentine's Day! I get the sense they do a lot of takeout business so it wasn't too crowded. Parking: street parking can be a little tricky here but you can park in the garages on the other side of the road. 5/5 will definitely come back for takeout or dine in! they had high chairs and it wasn't too quiet so we might even bring our toddler back next time.

Yelp
The food was delicious, waitress was very attentive, and the ambiance was lovely! The chicken pad thai tasted fresh and yummy - I would have preferred a little more heat (but I ordered it as-is so I guess that's on me). They have fun non-alcoholic seasonal drinks that are fruity and sparkling! This restaurant was a great find near the Dunn-Loring metro stop. Highly recommend for a delicious bite to eat or take out!

Yelp
Wow, Thai restaurants in Virginia have been stepping up their game big time. The presentation is very well put together here - from the atmosphere, service, and food. They have a good selection on the menu of Thai classics and the taste is also very authentic and tasty. I didn't grab a picture, but the drinks are very good and refreshing as well! Highly recommend!

Yelp
My favorite local Thai spot in the Northern VA area for sure! I've been here in person and have also made multiple Uber eats orders and I must say that quality has always been consistent. Decent amount of portion for a fair price so I find myself frequently coming back! They also have a lot of diverse menu options - more than the typical Thai restaurants so if you're feeling adventurous, definitely try their monthly specials! As for ambiance, there are three booth sittings near the front and decent number of tables and chairs at the front, although a bit more on an intimate side. Great for a casual night out!

Yelp
(4) ~ very good overall food & service. Note: Free parking in garage for 2 hrs. DRINKS: ** Water (tap) = (4.25) Very good, must be filtered;) ** Thai iced Tea = (4) very good FOOD: ** Tom Kha (Chicken) = (4) very good ** Drunken Noodle (Shrimp) = (4) very tasty, but there were only 5 small shrimp?! Should be at least 8... ** Mango Sticky Rice = (4) very good

Yelp
Excellent food, one of the best Thai food in NOVA. We ordered 4 Apps - curry puffs, chive cakes, string beans and veg dumplings. All were well prepared and delicious. For dinner we ordered chicken panag, eggplant basil with pork and beef drunken noodles. The entrees were top notch and well prepared. We got them 2 out of 5 spicy scale and they were medium spicy. Service was friendly and the ambience is quite nice. Certainly worth a visit. I would go back.

Yelp
Kiin Imm has long been a standby for us, as we live nearby. The food is consistently delicious and authentic Thai. The sit-down experience is comfortable and service is quick and courteous. Truly, some of the best Thai in the area. Their recent addition to the Specials menu of the branzino (under the name The Deep Sea) is absolutely fantastic.
google avatar

Yelp
I love this restaurant. First of all, the decorations are SO cute and changed throughout the year, which is a nice touch. The food is fantastic and very authentic. You can choose from classic Thai dishes like pad thai, to unique street food and seasonal dishes. Everything I've had there has been delicious. The service is really wonderful. Our waitress was super attentive and kind. It is located right by the metro as well so you can park in the garage for free on Sundays and metro into DC after!

Yelp
LOVE this place. Everytime I visit my parents house we always want to get this. One of the best thai places out there and priced very well too. I have tried numerous things on their menu and everything we have tried has been great!! From the pad thai, drunken noodles, thai basil, the curries, EVERYTHING has been excellent. We have gotten take out and also dined in and both are equally great!! You need to try this thai place, and if you have not you are missing out!!

Yelp
how is it my miscommunication and my perception when that is exactly what happened PAUL?! I shouldve asked for a printed receipt but I thought I could trust your establishment + it was on an ipad type system. you guys literally changed the tip amount to give yourself more and are trying to frame it as MY misinterpretation of the situation. i'm really disappointed in yall bc i used to recommend this restaurant to all my friends. the problem isnt about the food but the integrity or lack thereof.

Yelp
Awesome experience. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The place is small but cute. They were very busy with takeout orders since they are close to the metro station and lots of condos. Our two fish dishes were the highlight. Branzino and spicy catfish were both delicious. Beef and broccoli good but not as good as the fish. Fried green beans were perfect starter!!!

Lay Peng T.

Yelp
The food is delicious, and I like the monthly specials. This restaurant stayed open for the neighborhood throughout Covid and continued to serve up good meals and excellent service. Thank you, Manny, Pla, Eve, the Chef(s) and staff. It is such a blessing to have you close by!

Yelp
GLASS SHARDS IN FOOD! This used to be one of my favorite places to eat in the Vienna area, but tonight was such a nightmare. I ordered fried rice for takeout and once I began eating at home, I bit down on something hard and crunchy, tasted blood, and felt painful stinging in my mouth. I spit it out and found that I had been chewing on SHARDS of GLASS. After I finished picking glass out of my teeth and tending to my bleeding mouth, I called the restaurant and explained what happened. The woman did not even offer an apology or express any ounce of concern. She said I needed to bring the food all the way back to the restaurant to prove my claims were true in order to even be considered for a "credit" for next time. I explained that it is late and I wouldn't be able to bring in the food tonight and she pushed back. This is entirely unacceptable for such a serious situation. If a customer ends up bleeding after eating your food, you apologize and offer a refund. I'm never one to write a negative review for one of my favorite restaurants, but after the way my concern was disrespectfully dismissed and no remedy was offered, maybe this will get their attention. In the photo, you can see a few of the glass pieces that I spit out, but who knows how many more I accidentally swallowed or are in other people's food as we speak. Do better, Kiin Imm.

Yelp
Went here on a rainy Saturday night after craving Thai food for a while and absolutely loved the food. And as a celiac with really low tolerance for foods cooked outside of really specific ways (which I'm clear with servers on), I was so pleased to see that Kiin Imm Thai took me seriously, listened and gave me a great meal with FLAVOR. I love that their menu clearly outlines what has gluten and what doesn't so it's obvious that it's something that they know and not just something that they would have to modify a dish for. For the most part, everyone at our table LOVED what they ordered. My husband was the odd man out and ordered a protein that he loves (duck) that was cooked perfectly but he didn't love the sauce (when he says that HE can make it better that raises my eyebrows.) Now, my armchair quarterback will also tell you that he ordered something WAY outside of what he normally orders and said that he would absolutely come back and that there were multiple other things on the menu that he would try. BUT HE STANDS BY his review. Queue the eye strain. That's not why I took the point off. I took the point off because service barely came by. We were left alone for huge portions of the dinner bordering on being forgotten about - they do a really healthy take out / delivery and this seemed to be their focus. Now, when the servers were there they were lovely. However, getting attention in what wasn't a busy dining room was difficult (we were out of eyesight). Food came out really quickly though and was exactly what we asked for. The dining room itself was nice, bench seating that was ok and sufficiently padded. There are great windows and I'm sure on nights when it's not pouring, it's lovely. Parking ... I don't know. Be careful? Their website says to park by District Taco, they are immediately adjacent to the Metro Parking - don't park there (or at your own risk!). The bathroom itself was clean and handicapped accessible which was nice. I don't like it when there aren't paper towels and only the air germ sprayer, so do keep that in mind if that bothers you also. Overall, a really lovely place and they get it right and they got my business for anther shot. I'll be back, Kiin Imm Thai!

Yelp
I was just visiting for couple days and was looking for a nice dinner place close by hotel and found this one. Very impressed that they have so many kinds of food that I have never seen from another Thai restaurant before. Everything was very good and reasonable price. I can tell from many to go orders and people keep coming in even it's just during the week. I wish I could order more. I love this place.

Vanessa Z.

Yelp
Ordered to go food. Tired to kill me with a staple. Be warned. Will never order from them again.

Yelp
I ordered Kiin Imm for takeout, so can't say much about the service or ambiance. Food wise, I ordered the Drunken Noodles, which were very good. I appreciate that they were actually spicy, but besides that, it was typical Thai food. Nothing special, but I would recommend this place if you're looking for consistently good Thai food for a good price.

Yelp
Ten of us came for dinner on a Tuesday night in June. The restaurant was not very full, although there were numerous takeout orders. We ordered so much food, I did not see what people at the far end of the table ordered. We started with kanom jeeb (steamed shrimp and chicken dumplings). They were ok, but probably the weakest dish we had. Next was chicken satay, oddly served with bread triangles. Our main dishes were all excellent. We had chili basil eggplant, double garlic pepper beef, twinkle branzino, green curry chicken (a little too spicy at medium), roasted duck canoe, herbal falls (crispy tofu) and done noodle dishes. My favorites were the vegetables with the roasted duck and the tofu and broccoli in the herbal falls. For dessert we shared four orders of mango and sticky rice, a beautiful dessert. We all loved the food and service was welcoming and efficient. One of our group had taken Thai cooking lessons in Chiang Mai and said the spices were very authentic .

Yelp
My favorite part about this place is the cozy design! The restaurant is so adorable and really cozy. It felt really comforting to sit there and enjoy dinner and just felt like being in a movie for some reason. The lights and the soft colors are great. The food is also amazing and this is my number one Thai choice in the area! We had the branzino and it was fantastic. The soft shell crab appetizer was also amazing. I always love the Tom yum soup. My only complaint is that the papaya salad comes with iceberg lettuce and it seems like they skimp on the papaya and add the lettuce to make the plate seem fuller. I'd prefer just the papaya salad, it's my favorite. Service was great too. Thank you!

Yelp
Tried this place on a whim. Got the string bean app and drunken noodles. The string beans were very good, crunchy, and had lots of potential but lacking spice/white pepper. The drunken noodles had a very generous about of meat, tasty but lacking Thai basil, sweet peppers, and tomatoes. Also the heat was not distributed evenly, thus some bites were far spicer than others. Small and very adorable restaurant. Takeout service was pleasant. I do dislike this growing trend of no physical menus, which makes it difficult to see all the items quickly and order efficiently.

Sandy R.

Yelp
I ordered the Tender Beef Ka Prow dish. I requested the Thai 5 level spicy. It was delicious. The atmosphere is beautiful as you enter. Parking is convenient. The wait staff is friendly. The restaurant is very clean. There was no waiting for a table at 6:00pm. I would definitely return.

Linda R.

Yelp
First time dining here and it will definitely not be our last. We are not very familiar with Thai food but after our dine here, we will become very familiar. The Drunken Noodles with Tofu and the Basil Fried Rice with Shrimp were thoroughly enjoyed. All the staff were so friendly and were very informative describing some of the menu items we were inquiring about.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place! A solid 5/5 in my books! Upon walking in, we were greeted by the staff and were seated down and I noticed how nicely done the decor was. The restaurant was very appealing. Also, there is free parking if you go to the parking garage across the restaurant. There is free 2 hour parking available. Just be sure to park in the correct spots. The Food: Since this was my first time here, I had to try the Pad Thai, Tom Yum Soup and Thai Iced Tea. The Beef Pad Thai was delicious, flavorful and portioned just right. It wasn't too overbearingly sweet, which was nice. The Tom Yum soup had the nice Tom yum/lemongrass flavor that you're looking for. It was nicely balanced. The Thai iced Tea was good as well, no complaints there. The Service: The staff were very friendly here. They were attentive and had our orders out in no time. The service was great! Overall, a solid 5/5 on the food and service. I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
This is a restaurant that I will always want to support. Not only is the food tasty and they always come up with specials each month, the staff is warm and professional no matter how small my order is. In March 2020, when we had to work from home, I was really worried about where to get tasty Asian food. Fortunately, i live close to Kiin Imm Thai (Vienna). That time, I marveled at how hardworking the staff are: Manny, Sky and Liz. Despite my order mostly for only myself, Manny and her team are always welcoming. They became my 'go-to' restaurant when I return from Asia feeling homesick and craving for delicious Thai food. Thank you for having good staff and delicious food, clean environment, Kiin Imm Thai. I am so glad you are in my neighborhood!

Yelp
Was looking for a place to have lunch before trying Rice Culture (just a short walk away). Kiin Imm was a pleasant surprise! Upon entering, I appreciated the relaxing music and cute interior. Our server didn't try to make small talk (which I much prefer as an introvert) and brought out each course just as we were finishing up the previous course. They accepted my request to make the Khao Soi less spicy, which I ordered with shrimp. The shrimp portion was generous and cooked to perfection. If you love Thai food and hate loud music at restaurants, I highly recommend Kiin Imm.

Yelp
Ordered the Boat Noodle and it was delicious! Got it with a spice level of 5 and it satisfied my asian tongue. Ordered the Yum Yum Noodle Soup as well... was good but wish it was more sour! Would definitely recommend :)

Yelp
We never expect too much with delivery food but this was an exception. Everything we had was uniques and tasty. I would highly recommend this place. You won't regret it.

Yelp
Got my order for pickup. Got the duck rolls, papaya salad, Tom yum soup, drunken noodles, and the mango sticky rice! Was very impressed by the spiciness level they do. The 3/5 spicy is pretty spicy!!! I enjoyed the duck rolls the most with the hoisin sauce. The soup was a nice palate cleanser in between each dish. The drunken noodles is also very delicious, and had the right amount of spice.

Yelp
Carryout order near my office. Shrimp pad thai was just meh - five shrimp over noodles that had clumped in carryout container. Mango with sticky rice was good but no better than other places I've had it. Won't rush back but would return for quick, easy lunch. Appreciated that the order was ready on time.

Yelp
Drunken noodles and soft shell crab special with a curry noodle were delicious. We also had a tofu stirfry (fried tofu chunks) - tasty. You can adjust the level of spice. We will be back! Menus are by QR code, but the server will take your order. Ambience is cute, not fancy. Located next to the Dunn Loring metro station garage entrance. Park in the Harris Teeter/shops garage across the street for 2 hours.
