Expert Reviewer here: this place brings the atmosphere from even before you step your pretty little toe inside the restaurant. Amazing drinks. Amazing food. Amazing decor. And y’all Charlotte folk don’t have anything as amazing as Kelly Minton making drinks. So enjoy. Great for solo drinking, schmoozing bosses, showing off to coworkers, first dates, stylish break ups, sassy girls night, sophisticated mans night, genderless occasions... and depending on the person: birthday parties. Limited seating? So... make a reservation, darling! It tastes better when you’ve earned it. Come to have fun and enjoy the experience... or go to Peculiar Rabbit. 🌈

Awesome experience here! Came in and sat at the main bar first and had a cocktail on tap - super delicious. But I knew there was supposed to be a speakeasy type bar so asked to be seated there, and it was amazing. My husband and I both had custom cocktails made by the bartender. Such a cool vibe. We got 3 appetizers too and everything was great!

Heard about this place from a friend and it definitely lived up to the expectation. Loved the cocktail lounge-vibe. I went on a Friday and there was a DJ when you first walk in. Loved the cocktail I ordered- the Southend T. Highly recommend, it wasn’t too sweet and had a creamy smoothness to the flavor. I’ve heard that if you sit at the bar or go on a weeknight you can get a nice craft cocktail experience that’s speakeasy style. Can’t wait to go back for this. If you’re not familiar with Plaza Midwood’s parking situation, I recommend parking on one of the neighborhood streets and walking a block or two to get there. This place is located on a corner right under Soul Gastrounge.

Mediocre restaurant with overpriced, nicely plated small plates that cost way too much to feel full. Service was decent. Food options like frog legs and escargot are not commonly found on menus around Charlotte so they are unique in that, however for the price, I was expecting more than nice plating from the food. We had the cheese small plate, escargot, frog legs, cod fritters, and ratatouille. Booth seating was almost uncomfortable. Had been excited to check this place out but definitely prefer Soul to KiKi, probably won't be back any time soon. I would however go back to Tattoo, seating is very limited so put your name on the list early.

Kiki is an amazing place. From the food and drink selection, ambience, and service, I was blown away. We were treated so well and I will most definitely return due to the exemplary management and waitstaff. The restaurant is also so nicely designed, not to mention their bar off to the side (Tattoo) and rooftop settings are awesome features, each of them so unique. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their food. The 3 spread starter (pictured) was scrumptious. Thank you thank you!!

This is a pretty solid addition to the Charlotte restaurant scene. It has wayyyyyy more character than 90% of the ridiculous & overpriced nonsense concepts happening in South End. Also, the staff is incredible. The food is great for the price point. Three of us, who were VERY hungry, ordered 5 dishes and were completely satisfied. The cocktails, which are $12 a piece (note sure why that's not on there menu?), are well worth the price -- they are boozy and absolutely delicious. I was skeptical about the cocktails because they're all on tap, but I was proven wrong. The decor leaves a lot to be desired. The lights are way too bright, which really highlights the design flaws. However, it is worth noting that the diner aesthetic makes you feel super comfortable. Lastly, considering the name, I was hoping for a more queer-forward vibe. You can't take inspiration from the Scissor Sisters and slap it on anything... But, the crowd is super eclectic and it's obvious that all are welcome, so it's definitely queer friendly.

I have been there twice; once with my best friend for brunch and because of how amazing my experience was, again tonight for my moms birthday!!! Let me tell you, both times the food was impeccable and insanely delicious!! Plus our experience tonight was made that much better with perfect service. Mary is attentive and thoughtful! Honestly A+ across the board. Ps. My mom is vegetarian so I struggle to find places for her. We orders 8 dishes for 3 people including the dessert!! We definitely left stuffed and satisfied with just a few bites here and there leftover. Great place for sharing!! Will be back!
